Another amazing concept Bri and as usual you are knocking it out of the park. Looking forward to what is to come. Hey cruefan68! (Aka The American Poet) Hope all is groovy by you and yours. Much too kind brother man - thanks very much for those kind words. This fed is going to be held over the course of Jan thru Dec - 12 cards a month for an annual total of 144 cards to determine who "The Greatest" really are here. Tiebreakers I haven't even thought of yet but 144 cards is a long time. Now I hope there's ties! Anywho - always glad when you are a part of my endeavors. I haven't had much time at all to play and post lately so this fed is something that I can still keep up with and still get my rocks off with. Hope this will be fun and a seriously tense final 12 cards. Thanks Crue!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Basement Brawls - Month 1 - Card 7: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
January 16th St. Anselms Church 4th Avenue & 82nd Street Brooklyn, N.Y. Start Time - 12:00 am.
Match Results: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Greg Valentine with Sherie Martel defeated Gorgeous George via Submission - Valentine forced George to submit to his comeback execution of his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK finisher at the 27:00 minute mark.
Tag Bout: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. The Road Warriors - Road Warrior Hawk & Road Warrior Animal with Paul Ellering defeated The Soldiers of Fortune - Mil Mascaras & The Destroyer with The Dark Menace via Count Out - Destroyer was counted out of the ring after Road Warrior Animal savagely Overhead Bodyslammed him onto the church floor at the 37:30 minute mark.
Main Event: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. The Sheik with Abdullah Farouk defeated George Hackenschmidt via Pinfall - Sheik pinned a bloodied and burnt Hackenschmidt via a second and literally smoldering version of his FIREBALL primary finisher at the 27:00 minute mark.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Match Notes: ------------------------------
1. Ordinarily, if Cherie Dupre is at Gorgeous George's side, his prospects of winning a match go way up. However in this match, George used a large variety of scientific / technical moves to try to wear his stronger and rougher opponent down. If Sherie Dupre had not intervened when she did, Valentine would have definitely tapped out to the third of George's four finisher attempts. George had him beat...all by himself...
2. One hell of a tag bout. The Soldiers of Fortune commanded the offense with strategic tagging and isolating Road Warrior Hawk inside the ring. As the match wore on The Road Warriors started double teaming and using their bone crushing tag finisher. The ref almost ruled it a double dq - after a three on three inside the ring brawl erupted. After several back and forth - outside the ring brawls between The Destroyer and Road Warrior Animal...a frustrated Animal inadvertently put this one away...with an exclamation point...
3. A true and worthy main event...even though these "cards" are randomly determined...and another lengthy bout as well. George Hackenschmidt threw The Sheik all over the "arena" and trapped him in many holds including his RUSSIAN BEAR HUG finisher...but The Sheik maintained what could only be described as a deranged endurance...until he was able to mount a furious comeback via his CAMEL CLUTCH and two executions of his FIREBALL...then everything went blank for me...
Observations: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Sherie Martel is one smart cookie. Valentine's chances in this are really going to improve. As will V For Vendetta (Valentine's team with Van Dam). Although rumor has it that when it comes to Rob Van Dam wrestling solo, Martel supposedly wont be in his corner. Martel and Valentine seem friendly...really friendly...mutual ass slapping...hmm...
2. Really wild match for sure. The longer the match went on...the more it favored The Road Warriors...but the thing in this match that floored me was when I heard the voice of The Dark Menace...it hit me that he's the Commissioner of all of this...his voice was the voice I heard on the phone...not sure what his deal is...gotta find this out...
3. Once Hackenschmidt had finally been pinned...I...and our new paramedic rushed into the ring to administer first aid to him...then he freaked...knocking both of us...and even the referee unconscious...and then tore after The Sheik and Abdullah Farouk...
Individual Wrestler Scoreboard: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Special Notes: -----------------------------------------
▪ Hackenschmidt later apologized to both myself and our paramedic...but not the referee...who scattered out of the church after this bout...Hackenschmidt had ran out into the church parking lot after The Sheik and Farouk...and he found them - as they were talking to the referee and had passed him what could have been cash...but that hasn't been confirmed...thankfully for the neighborhood our security squad were able to restrain Hackenschmidt as soon as he saw a possible deal having gone down between the referee and Farouk...
▪ Things have settled down...I have to speak with this Dark Menace...something needs to be done here about this...trying to call him now...

Some really good stuff as always but really looking forward to that tag match and Snuka vs Brody should be wild. Hey TTX! I have been out of commission for a while for health reasons but The Basement Brawls will be continuing. Combination of ailments have kept me off the grid but hope to be back soon. Thanks very much brother (as always)!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Basement Brawls - Month 1 - Card 8: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
January 16th St. Anselms Church 4th Avenue & 82nd Street Brooklyn, N.Y. Start Time - 12:00 am.
Opening Bout: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Jim Londos defeated Mr. Fuji via Pinfall - Londos pinned Fuji after a Match Defining execution of his AIRPLANE SPIN finisher at the 9:30 minute mark.
Tag Bout: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. The Clash (The Only Team That Matters) - Andre the Giant & Johnny Saint defeated We Can Do This All Day - Lou Thesz & William Muldoon via Disqualification - Thesz was disqualificated for relentlessly brawiling with Andre at ringside and despite warnings - Thesz executed his Double Leg Pickup Into Slam onto the arena floor of the church on Andre at the 3:00 minute mark.
Main Event: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Bruiser Brody defeated Jimmy Snuka via Pinfall - Brody pinned Snuka via a second subsequent and Even More Brutal version of his JUMPING KNEE SMASH finisher at the 27:00 minute mark.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Match Notes & Observations: --------------------------------------------------------
1. Mr. Fuji's offense comprised of attacking Jim Londos from behind before the bell, attempting to use his slight power advantage to fuel the offense - and Lou Albano's timely distraction to allow Fuji to Throw Salt In Londos's eyes. Driven by willpower and pain, Londos quickly reserved Fuji's Suplex attempt into his Crotch Lift And Slam - setting up Londos to unleash his finisher. Lou Albano is definitely going to be an influential force here, he's always thinking and slickly...
2. A highly anticipated match that got quite heated quickly between Lou Thesz and Andre the Giant. Lou Thesz was outwrestling Andre inside the ring and had Andre to the point where Thesz may have been able to land a finisher - but in frustration - Andre rolled out of the ring. When Thesz followed him outside, Andre attacked him immediately. But an enraged Thesz snapped...disregarded the refs warnings & grabbed Andre's legs and caused Andre to land back and back of the head first on the church floor...causing the ref to dq Thesz...despite yelling coming from a very adamant William Muldoon...and yellings from Johnny Saint...this one almost spiraled completely out of hand but our dozen security guards were able to keep this scene from erupting...
3. From the opening collar an elbow...that resulted in Bruiser Brody throwing Snuka back first off his feet into the turnbuckle...this match was entirely Brody's throughout the course of it...although it should be said that Snuka put up one hell of a fight...and showed a lot of heart...but Bruiser Brody was indestructible tonight...
Individual Wrestler Scoreboard: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jim Londos - 4 The Sheik - 4
Bruiser Brody - 2 Greg Valentine - 2 Rikidozan - 2 Harley Race - 2 Mil Mascaras - 2 George Hackenschmidt - 2 Rob Van Dam - 2 William Muldoon - 2 Frank Gotch - 2 Buddy Rogers - 2 Andre the Giant - 2
Lou Thesz - 1
The Destroyer - 0 Masked Superstar - 0 Johnny Saint - 0 Road Warrior Hawk - 0 Nick Bockwinkel - 0 Gorgeous George - 0 Mr. Fuji - 0 Road Warrior Animal - 0 Giant Baba - 0 Jimmy Snuka - 0
Tag Team Scoreboard: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cast Iron* (Gotch & Hackenschmidt) - 0 We Can Do This All Day (Thesz & Muldoon) - 0 Superfly Samurai (Snuka & Baba) - 0 Crime & Punishment (Bockwinkel & Race) - 0 The Reservoir Dogs (Rikidozan & Londos) - 0 The Legbreakers (Rogers & George) - 0

▪ The Dark Menace - (The Soldiers of Fortune as a team as well as each in singles competition)
▪ Abdullah Farouk - (The Sheik & the team of Damage Incorporated only - but not Bruiser Brody)
Special Notes: -----------------------------------------
▪ Thankfully I was able to speak on a call with our commissioner...The Dark Menace...he has assured me that the referee...from the last main event that presumably screwed over George Hackenschmidt...by being in cahoots with Abdullah Farouk...has just been releasedfrom his lucrative contract in this.. good news...
▪ Still trying to piece together who's voice that was on that other conference call from the person who is the promoter...and the more I think about it...I think it might be...April Hunter...actually...I hope it might be April Hunter...
