Love it, it's the same but different. Hawk goes down and I see mr fuji shows up. I regret not getting that set but picking and choosing with my LAW wrestling budget lol
Hoping Superfly does something more in my legends fed as he shows up in year 3

I regret not getting that set but picking and choosing with my LAW wrestling budget lol Hoping Superfly does something more in my legends fed as he shows up in year 3 Hey LAWraith! I know what you mean, there are still a lot of sets out there that I would still love to get but gotta pick my spends. Just a side note (in case anyone was wondering) - all 24 of these wrestlers are their original black and white versions. Here's to hoping The Superfly excels for your fed. In my experience he's been streaky. He's either losing/getting dq'd or obliterating whoever he's matched up against. Thanks for the comments my friend!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Basement Brawls - Month 1 - Card 4: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
January 10th St. Anslems Church 4th Avenue & 82nd Street Brooklyn, N.Y. Start Time - 12:00 am.
Match Results: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Jim Londos defeated Greg Valentine via Pinfall - a bloodied Londos pinned a very blooded Valentine after back to back executions of his AIRPLANE SPIN primary finisher at the 36:00 minute mark.
Tag Bout: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Damage Incorporated - Bruiser Brody & The Sheik defeated Crime & Punnishment - Nick Bockwinkel & Harley Race via Pinfall - Brody pinned a bloodied Race with a ring shaking Running Leg Drop as The Sheik prevented Bockwinkel from interfering with a FIREBALL at the 24:00 minute mark.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Rob Van Dam defeated Gorgeous George with Cherie Dupre via Pinfall - Van Dam pinned George as a result of immediate back to back and near ceiling cracking FIVE STAR FROG SPLASHES at the 21:00 minute mark.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Match Notes: ------------------------------
1. This was by far the greatest comeback victory that I've seen so far to date. Valentine came out with a very strong power based offense that Londos couldn't rebound from. And when Londos rolled Valentine and himself closer to the ropes in order to break Valentine's FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK - he seemed done. But when Londos somehow reached down and reversed Valentine's Deathjump into A Powerslam pin attempt - he then tangled up Valentine in painful hold after painful hold until Valentine basically had nothing left.
2. Damage Incorporated made one hell of a statement tonight and in particular, Bruiser Brody. He ran short of nothing but amok, Bockwinkel and Race couldn't get out of the ring fast enough against him. As disturbing as The Sheiks presence is in this thing, Brody looked indestructible. Harley Race had some success against him, but Nick Bockwinkel wanted no part of him - at least not this night.
3. I'm not sure how Gorgeous George finagled the inclusion of Cherie Dupre into this and quite frankly, the other 22 to 23 wrestlers who didn't know about this I would think are gonna flip. Although she wasn't really a factor in this match, because Gorgeous George could not muster any sustained or meaningful offense against Rob Van Dam - who looked fantastic.
Observations: -----------------------------------
1. As I see each of these incredible competitors in action, I find myself trying to figure out whose going to win this whole thing and I now think that - this one is going down to the wire. Londos's amazing. Both wrestlers actually fist bumped after they both made it to their feet - in mutual and honest respect.
2. Bockwinkel and Race entered the ring first and when Damage Incorporated entered the room it gave me the chills. When the Sheik entered first, his steps didn't make a sound, it was like he crept - instead of walked. Behind him was silence and then I heard the consistent low pitch clanking together of the thick pieces of his metal chain around Brody's neck and shoulders, which was unnerving enough but the noise that made the hair on the back of my neck stand up - was the sound of his exhaling. It was savage...and it really didn't sound human. Sounded more like something from The Lord of The Rings.
3. Spoke to Rob Van Dam after the match briefly - and he said that the heels of his feet actually hit the ceiling on the second execution of his finisher. He then told me that he loves the challenge that the ceiling offers. True daredevil for sure. Gotta wonder how this will affect The Superfly. The way he's been lately, if he accidentally embeds imself in the ceiling - then he might beat up the church.

Special Notes: -----------------------------------------
Was able to speak to the promoter & the commissioner:
▪ Thankfully they were able to give me the extra security and a paramedic to be on hand and they all report to me.
▪ Bruiser Brody for some reason I did not see coming. Although tonight's bout with this Damage Incorporated team of Brody & The Sheik wasn't as out of control as I thought it was going to be - gotta keep the security team sharp - especially whenever they face The Road Warriors...or Andre.
▪ Finally have a system in place where I receive the next scheduled card during the course of the current nights card...that will help immensely...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Basement Brawls - Month 1 - Card 5: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
January 12th St. Anslems Church 4th Avenue & 82nd Street Brooklyn, N.Y. Start Time - 12:00 am.
Match Results: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. George Hackenschmidt defeated Mr. Fuji via Submission - a cocky Fuji soon felt himself overwhelmed and submitted to Hackenschmidts first execution of his RUSSIAN BEAR HUG primary finisher at the 9:00 minute mark.
Tag Bout: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. V For Vendetta - Rob Van Dam & Greg Valentine defeated The Reservoir Dogs - Rikidozan & Jim Londos via Pinfall - Van Dam Pinned a stubborn Rikidozan with a second in a row execution of his FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH as Valentine Shoulder Blocked a frustrated Jim Londos backwards into the turnbuckle at the 24:00 minute mark.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Mil Mascaras defeated Road Warrior Animal via Pinfall - Mascaras pinned Animal by executing a desperate / time was of the essence version of his FLYING BODYPRESS primary finisher at the 18:00 minute mark.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Match Notes: ------------------------------
1. All of Mr. Fuji attempts to intimidate George Hackenschmidt, including his own mediocre display of nun-chuckery and a bevy of scantily clad but fairly pear shaped ladies of the evening - had zero influence over a wrestler who in all honsety - cannot be intimidated.
2. Both teams succeeded in cutting off the ring in half as this largely became a matter of Rob Van Dam vs Rikidozan, whom let neither tag out at all. It took two FIVE STAR SPLASHES and an immediate cover from Van to get it done before Rikidozan regained a second wind.
3. This matchup was by far the most dynamic of the three bouts because it featured such contrasts in styles. The strength and power of Road Warrior Animal vs the speed and agility and endurance of Mil Mascaras. Both relying on what they did best to turn the tide back to their favor. Mascaras wasted no time going for the final cover because it probably would have been his last chance.
Observations: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. The slightly strange entourage that accompanied Mr. Fuji actually started to linger some, hoping to either see the next bout or steal some booze. Either way I had to put my foot down and have security escort the escorts out. We still lost a bottle of Johnny Walker somewhere.
2. Although this was a fiercly contested contest. It always stayed inside the ring and both teams fist bumped each other and there wasn't any animosity at all between them. This should probably be seen as a tag team match calm before the storm - especially considering whose scheduled in the next tag bout.
3. I kept looking around the room and over the back of my shoulder...expecting to see Road Warrior Hawk storm the ring in defense of Animal...but since Hawk is still recovering...that must have been it...but when they are both healthy and pissed off...we had better...be ready...
