More great action from a stellar fed my friend. Huge win for Terry Gordy over Bruiser Brody in Chicago. I also loved Vachon-Hansen and Snuka over Bundy in the cage. Congrats also to The Crusher on his Hardcore title win over Jackie Fargo.
I like seeing The Quebecers arrive on the scene, they could be real players in the tag team division. Great also to see Jerry Lynn having so much success, including capturing the Northeastern title and getting a big win over Randy Savage.
From the various territories to the old school lineups this fed has really captured my attention.

Chaz Taylor pinned Angelo Poffo. After his father departed the territory, Chaz Taylor decided to stick around and try his luck in singles competition and found success in his debut. This was a barn burner of an opener. Taylor showcased his agility and speed early on controlled the bout. Poffo found an opening and went to work on the neck even using his finishing NECKBREAKER but could not get the three count. Taylor again used his agility to regain the upper hand. A CHAZTIZER resulted in a near fall. Taylor connected with back to back missile dropkicks and Poffo escaped to the floor but tripped over Dr. Mike Lano before stumbling back into the ring where a third missile dropkick was waiting for him. Taylor continued to press the attack and connected with back to back enzuigiris to get the victory. Candi Divine bested Francine. It was back on card 12 that Francine took the victory from Divine after a controversial disqualification that saw Divine use a chair that Francine introduced to the action. Divine wasted no time in getting her redemption ducking a clothesline and then catching Francine with a clothesline in the corner. Divine put Francineâs shoulder to the mat with a SUNSET FLIP and Morgan Dollar made the three count.
Johnny Mantell over Gorgeous George w/Cherie DuprĂ©. At the last NWLA event, George escaped with a count-out victory over Mantell thanks to a time shoe smash from DuprĂ©. There was significant intensity between these two at the lock up and it carried through the closely contested encounter. There was plenty of action in and out of the ring and Dr. Mike Lano captured the battles on the floor up close. Mantell picked up the only near fall of the match which came after a forearm uppercut that nearly knocked George into next week. Mantell and George ended up brawling on the floor and it was once again the interference of DuprĂ©, this time a spray into the face with her disinfectant, that resulted in the disqualification finish. George attempted to lay in a few boots while Mantell held his face but the officials were able to block George from doing any further damage. Tully Blanchard & Masked Superstar w/J.J. Dillon downed âDr. Deathâ Steve Williams & Barry Windham by disqualification. Morgan Dollars gets the fans out of their seats when he makes the decision to send J.J. Dillon to the back before the bell. Things became violent early on in this one when Windham rammed Blanchardâs face off the ringside rails busting him open. Blanchard was able to get out of trouble a tag out to recovery on the apron. Superstar caught Windham with a SWINGING NECKREBREAKER for a near fall before Windham caught Superstar on the top of the corner and slammed him to the mat. Williams tagged in and rocked the fans with a press slam to Superstar that nearly ended it. The action went back and forth and featured several brawls on the floor. Windham nailed Blanchard with a LARIAT but Superstar made the save. Later, Blanchard made a tag into the match and executed a SLINGSHOT SUPLEX for Windham but Williams made the save. The match ended on the floor where Williams battering rammed Blanchard into the ring post. The move was too much for Dollar who called for the disqualification. Blanchard was left in a bloody heap on the floor and even Windham looked stunned at his partnerâs level of violence and intensity. Mr. Hughes downed âWildâ Bull Curry by disqualification. A rare battle between two heels opened the second half of the show. Curry struggled with the size advantage of Hughes and took a vicious beating including release gut wrenches, slams, clothesline and multiple powerbombs all the while with Curry clutching his ear in pain. Curry found an equalizer first with his fists and then later with BRASS KNICKLES and finally with a chair smash. The chair was enough for the official to call for the bell and disqualify Curry who cared more about terrorizing the fans at ringside after the match than the fact he had just lost. Sheepherders beat Fantastics. Bobby Fulton and Tommy Rogers were looking for a stronger performance after being dominate by the Sheepherders the last them the two teams clashed. Butch Miller & Luke Williams were all over Morgan Dollar before the Fantastics were introduced and Dollar appeared shaken up as the action got under way. Mayhem ruled the day early on and Sheepherders drew first blood, literally, when Luke Williams smashed Fulton into the ring steps. The Fantastics drew on the fans support and after a couple of quick tags, Williams tasted the ring post and was also busted open. Rogers nearly put away Williams shortly after that with a sleeper but Williams made the ropes. Things went back and forth from that point with both teams having moments in control. The Sheepherders assumed control after a double clothesline downed Fulton for a near fall. A DOUBLE GUTBUSTER soon followed and the pin save from Rogers was cut off while Williams hooked the leg for what appeared to be a quick count from Dollar. The fans were not pleased as it appeared Dollar was more interested in his own safety then making a clean count. National Wrestling Legends Association Champion Johnny Valentine defeated Bobo Brazil. Morgan Dollar found himself in hot water once again as Johnny Valentine had some stern words for the official but this time Dollar gave Valentine some of his own medicine as the two argued before the bell. The encounter clearly has Valentine in a bad mood and he is able to take his anger out of Brazil. A big chop to the chest lands as does a forearm hammer. Brazil is rocked by back to back ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHERS but finds a way to kick out. Valentine then applies a sleeper and then a third ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER is on target and ends the one-sided match. National Wrestling Legends Association Tag Team Champions Midnight Express w/Jim Cornette bested Night of Dreams Tag Team Champions Rock ânâ Roll Express to win the titles. Morgan Dollar is in charge of the action and the pace is incredible out of the gate. The champions look great connecting with a slingshot stomp to Stan Lane. Both sides are soon making quick tags. Bobby Eaton catches Ricky Morton with a Divorce Court and later Robert Gibson unleashes back to back enzuigiris to Lane. The Express are able to catch Morton with a Double Goozle and with Cornette looking on from ringside, the Express double up again for a FLAPJACK to Morton. Dollar makes what appears to be a rather quick three count as Lane cuts of Gibson from making the save and we have new champions. The night ends with the Midnight Express standing in the ring will all the gold.

Card 025: North Eastern Wrestling Legends @ The Spectrum, Philadelphia, PA
Joe Blanchard submitted Ron Hutchison. Hutchison had his share of support from fans down front but Blanchard put on a clinic breaking down Hutchison. Blanchard planted Hutchison with a piledriver for a near fall and then picked up the win with his ABDOMINAL STRETCH finisher. Steve Corino battered Justin Credible. The fans in the City of Brotherly Love were more than familiar with these two so the energy at ringside was electric. Corino got into it before the bell with Morgan Dollar and the official looked uneasy as the action started. The action went wildly back and forth. Credible countered a backdrop with a piledriver only to have his following deathjump countered with a toss to the mat. Corino countered a Credible back drop attempt with an inside cradle that nearly ended it. Corino took control and stopped Credible with an OLD SCHOOL EXPULSION. Credible got his shoulder up at the last second. Corino followed again with a second OLD SCHOOL EXPULSION and then a third before being able to get the victory. Lou Albano, Greg Valentine, Larry Zbyszko & Valiant Brothers over Blue World Order, Al Snow and Mikey Whipwreck. The Spectrum is well known for its multi person tag team action and tonight this was back and forth classic. Both sides were making quick tags. The Valiant Brothers combined a DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE for a near fall on Blue Meanie. Whipwreck brought the fan favourites back to life catching Johnny Valiant with a WHIPPER SNAPPER for a near fall of his own. From that point, the number of tags increased as both sides attempted to find a matchup that would be to their advantage. Nova sent Valentine into the corner but Valentine avoided Novaâs charge sending his opponent crashing hard against the buckles. Valentine quickly rolled up Nova using his feet for leverage on the rope for the pin (snake eyes) as the heels steal the win. Buddy Rogers bested 2 Cold Scorpio. The fans were solidly behind Scorpio and he responded by taking the fight to the Nature Boy after Morgan Dollar called for the bell. Things did not look good for Rogers who took a flip leg drop and then a moonsault. Scorpio went back to the top but it proved costly as Rogers tossed him to the mat. Rogers then went work leading up to a FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE. Scorpio just made the ropes to keep the match going. Rogers attempted a pin using the ropes but Dollar caught him. Rogers kept control and finished the match with a series of dropkicks showing up Scorpio and getting the three count. âMacho Manâ Randy Savage pinned âThe British Bulldogâ Davey Boy Smith. The fans were on the edge of their seats as the second half of the show started with a bang. The pace was incredible as both men pushed to get this one done and over with early. Smith gorilla pressed slammed Savage bring ringside to their feet but Macho Man stormed back and a vaulting neck snap rocked his powerful foe. The counters continued with no clear advantage until the action spilled outside. Savage caught Smith with a knee to the back that launched Smith into the ring post. Smith was in serious trouble and Savage capitalized with a FLYING ELBOW SMASH to get the three count that was received with mixed reaction from ringside. Iron Sheik downed Hacksaw Jim Duggan in a Texas Death Match. Sheik was making his return to action and the fans were anything but happy to see him. Duggan wasted no time in giving the fans what they want beating Sheik to a bloody mess with a turnbuckle wrench and a chair. Sheik managed to counter a charge into the corner with a clothesline and the applied his CAMEL CLUTCH. Duggan escaped but Sheik did more damage to the back with a whip into the ring rails. Sheik applied another CAMEL CLUTCH and this time Duggan cannot escape (Snake eyes). Sheik refuses to release the hold after the bell and this brings Davey Boy Smith out with a chair which he smashes Sheik with. Smith assists Duggan to the floor and back to the dressing room. Sheik regains his senses and grabs the house mic demanding a match with Bulldog. Jazz downed Sherri Martel to win the Night of Dreams Womenâs Championship. Morgan Dollar called for the bell and Jazz immediately put on a power display that had Martel on the defensive. Twice Jazz planted Martel with a fisherman buster to get near falls and later Southern Comfort stretched Martel to near submission. Martel was able to get a few moments on offense before Jazz ended her second title run with a BITCH CLAMP.
North East Wrestling Legends Tag Team Champions James Gang downed Quebecers by count-out. Both Quebecers get into it with Morgan Dollar before the bell and the official gives it right back much to the delight of the fans. The early action was all James Gang as they had the fans roaring with their antics. Things took a controversial turn when Dollar was knocked down after a deathjump from B.G. James. In the ensuing chaos (12 moves!) things turned south for the champions as the Quebecers went to work with every trick in the book. By the time Dollar recovered, Kip James was a bloody mess and B. G. James was left to his own devices. The fans rallied behind the Champions but incredible Morgan Dollar went down a second time. Kip James took another significant beating (his pin count reached 12!) but he was able to get the tag out after Dollar recovered. The James Gang had a chance to dish out some of their own punishment late in the match and a smash to the face of Jacques Rougeau by B.G. James with the Tag Team Title belt was enough to get Rougeau counted out of the ring as the James Gang retain in a wild and controversial battle. Top Ten 1. Jerry Lynn, North East Wrestling Legends Champion (1) 2. Buddy Rogers (2) 3. âMacho Manâ Randy Savage (3) 4. Greg Valentine (5) 5. 2 Cold Scorpio (4) 6. Davey Boy Smith (6) 7. Larry Zbyszko (7) 8. Steve Corino (9) 9. Iron Sheik (-) 10. Nikolai Volkoff (8)

Val Venis destroyed âSodbusterâ Kenny Jay. Venis wasted no time in getting his win back and pinned Jay with a MONEY SHOT in just five moves.
Original Midnight Express w/Rock Riddle beat Badland Express. This was back and forth from the opening bell. The Express got the early jump with their double teaming leading to a ROCKET LAUNCHER on Marty Jannetty but a timely save from âJumpingâ Jim Brunzell kept the match going. The momentum changed when Jannetty reversed a whip to the post and Randy Rose was busted open. A bloody Rose just survived a HIGH FLYING DROPKICK before he was able to get the tag to Dennis Condrey. The Express unleashed a classic double team attack on both of their opponents until they combined for a DOUBLE GOOZLE on Jannetty. Brunzell jumped into the action breaking up the cover but Rose followed with a ROSE BOMB and Morgan Dollar made the three count. Nora Greenwald pinned Toni Rose. Rose was able to go hold for hold, move for move with Greenwald from the outset but a somersault nekcbreaker turned the momentum. Greenwald followed up immediately with a FLIPPING SEATED SENTON that was directly on target for the three count. Stan Hansen & Big Van Vader defeated Vachons. The story in this one was the Vachons gaining control against Big Van Vader including a Mad Dog Pounce from Mad Dog Vachon. Butcher Vachon kept the pressure on with back rakes and back elbow smash. Mad Dog entered the match again and Vader countered a backdrop with a piledriver. Hansen tagged in and immediately connected with his LARIAT for the three count from Morgan Dollar. The fans are not pleased but you rest assured that things are not over between Hansen and Mad Dog Vachon. Vampiro thrashed DâLo Brown. Vampiro could not have asked for a more impressive debut as the took out his opponent in just three moves wrapping up things with a NAIL IN THE COFFIN. The Flying Redheads bested Stars & Stripes. The exchange of counters in the early going between these two sides was flawless with both sides making key tags and keeping the momentum going back and forth. Del Wilkes end up in a battle with Red Bastien on the floor and a reversal sent Bastien into the ring post shoulder first. Wilkes tried to finish immediately with a UNCLE SLAM but Bastien kicked out of the last second. Bagwell and Wilkes attacked with a back elbow ram before Bastien was able to get the defensive tag to Lyons who immediately caught Bagwell in a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK and get the submission victory. Jimmy Snuka pinned American Wrestling Legends Association Champion The Destroyer to win the title. The Destroyer and his challenger locked horns under the watchful eye of Morgan Dollar and the fans knew there were in for something special. Destroyer went for an early cover after a backbreaker and Dollarâs count appears quick but he only reaches two. The action was back and forth. Snuka counters back at one point and catches the champion with a backbreaker for a near fall of his own. Destroyer lands a Bombs Away. The competitors exchange rams into the ringside table. Snuka starts to press the attack late in the match and catches Destroyer with a piledriver and backbreaker. Snuka mounts the corner for a perfect SUPERFLY LEAP and we have new champion!
Night of Dreams Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion Lou Thesz came back to beat Terry Gordy. Morgan Dollar called for the bell and the battle of power v. science was underway. Gordy uses his size to claim the early advantage and nearly killed Thesz with a PILEDRIVER but Thesz managed to keep his shoulder off the mat just at the count of three. Gordy transitioned to the STF and nearly submitted Thesz at his own game. Gordy stepped up the attack on the back with a ram back first into the ring post which earned Gordy some serious heat. Thesz drew on the support of the fan and came back. He went outside of his usual attack with knee from the top that scored his first two count. Gordy was caught with a series of body shots that began to take their toll. Gordy came back countering a backdrop with a piledriver but could not get Thesz in a position to go for the win before Thesz caught countering lariat in the corner and then executed a perfect GRECO-ROMAN BACKDROP to get the three count. Thesz was favouring his back as he was announced the winner.
Top Ten 1. The Crusher, Night of Dreams Hardcore Champion (1) 2. Jimmy Snuka, American Wrestling Legends Association Champion (6) 3. Terry Gordy (3) 4. The Destroyer (4) 5. King Kong Bundy (2) 6. Del Wikes (5) 7. Stan Hanson (8) 8. Mad Dog Vachon (7) 9. Red Bastien (-) 10. Big Van Vader (10)
