Yeah I wish I had taken actual notes on my matches back then because I'm dying to know how that happened. I assume he must have gotten a lucky roll (or unlucky from Morpheus) on an early pin but I just don't know. Luckily I'm almost caught up so I can actually start playing again and when I restart I'm going to take notes and have some summaries for all the matches.

The Gorilla Position Behind the scenes with Omega and Morpheus: Episode 3
This edition of the Gorilla Position will be a little different as Morpheus and Omega have decided to hold an end of the year press conference to discuss the first full year of the GWF and the future of the company.
Omega steps up to the podium. “Welcome everyone. Thanks for being here. Today is a milestone for the Galaxian Wrestling Federation. We have finished our first full calendar year. We've faced some bumps along the way but I feel we are in a great position to take the GWF to the next level. Competition is at a high level. Fans are coming out in droves. I don't think anyone could have predicted we'd be this popular this soon.”
“So let me outline for you where we go from here and what we have planned in 2076. First of all, we plan on expanding the roster. Morpheus has been out scouting talent around the galaxy and I believe he has some guys lined up. There's still some more work to be done on his part but I'm confident he'll get some quality talent in the GWF.”
“We also plan on having some sort of super card at the end of the year. It will have a greater number of matches overall and some of them will have special rules and stipulations. We're looking toward bringing in steel cage matches. That's a bit further down the line; we'll have a clearer picture when we get there. If it's successful we intend to do more, probably one per year and we'd like to take it on the road so the fans around the galaxy can see the stars of the GWF in person. But again, that's way down the line."
Omega turns to Morpheus, "that's about it from me, anything to add partner? You were telling me you had a real good young talent lined up from, where was it you said? Mafia II?"
"Yeah it's Maffei II. I don't want to say too much in case it doesn't work out but yeah, there's a real talented kid down there makin' some noise. I'd like to get him over here but we'll see what happens. I've also got a couple of local guys from right here on Deimos who are really good; we'll see what happens there. But yeah, I'm scouting. I'm trying to find the best. That's about all there is to say about that."
Omega and Morpheus turn it over to the floor for questions but there is only one question dominant on everyone's mind. It was asked by a local reporter. "I know you guys are trying to keep factions from forming to keep the competition as pure as possible, but with Dorado Sundown - guys who have been there from the beginning - already causing problems, how can you be sure the new guys you bring in won't also cause problems down the line?"
Morpheus steps up to the microphone. "We may have made a mistake recruiting Dorado Sundown. I admit that. But I think we've learned a lesson there. We know what to look for now and what traits we don't want in our wrestlers. I can assure you that not a single person I recruit will cause some any of rift. Not now. Not ever."
"I have the utmost faith in Morpheus," Omega added, "With the two of us vetting competitors I can guarantee you we won't have factions forming in the GWF and the competition will be absolutely pure and fair. Now if there are no more questions, we'd like to thank everyone for their time, and here's to another successful year for the GWF!"

Santon by PF after a TRIP TO HADESMorpheus retains GWF Galaxian Championship Summary:Big happenings today, most of them taking place after the show. First of all, immediately after the Tag Team title match Dorado Sundown went absolutely berserk. They were flipping the timekeepers table, throwing chairs, hitting officials; every little bit of degenerate behavior you can imagine, they were doing it. After the show they hunted down Omega and Morpheus. Blacklash directly accused Morpheus of rigging their match by having the referee look for any excuse to disqualify them. The fight outside the ring was pretty even; it certainly looked like either or both team could have been disqualified but it was Dorado Sundown that took the loss, so he may have had a point. Omega even asked Morpheus after the match if he had given the ref instructions to disqualify Dorado Sundown and Morpheus didn't really give him an answer, but Omega let it go because as far as he was concerned anything to get rid of Dorado Sundown from the GWF is worth it and as it turns out, they were seen leaving Deimos after this match and it isn't apparent as to whether or not they'll be back. As if things couldn't get more controversial, after the show Ricken Prince and Jammer had an altercation backstage resulting in Jammer severely damaging his knee. Results of the X-ray and MRI are pending but it doesn't look too good for Jammer; it is believed he will have to miss some significant time. In some better news, the talent that had been scouted by Morpheus that he alluded to in the press conference in December are indeed going to be joining the GWF. The young wrestler from Maffei II, whose name we can now reveal as Cosmos will have his debut match next month. He will take on another new talent who came in out of nowhere; another young man who doesn't seem to speak at all named Mimic. Also the hometown wrestlers, Tano and Rama will join as a tag team called the Wind Riders. They are tag team specialists so will debut next month against the GWF's other great tag team specialists, the Crosscurrents. It should be a hell of a show next month, we hope you'll be there! Our savior the great Mimic debuting soon. Can't wait. Yeah he's such a cool character. Can't wait to see how he does (only 4 cards left until I'm caught up!). So anyway, it's time for another Breaking Kayfabe episode. Here's a link to the first one. Breaking Kayfabe And again I'm going to put this in spoiler tags to keep it clear that this is really behind the scenes stuff. With new wrestlers entering the GWF it seems as good a time as any to reveal what is going on behind the scenes. So here we go.
We'll start with actual in ring stuff. First of all, the reason Paladin Power's run has been so long is very simple. They are way over with the crowd. By far they are selling the most merchandise right now so they are getting a huge push. Second, why the short-lived Santon championship? There are a couple of things going on here. First, after the lukewarm reception at first, Morpheus is starting to get more over with the crowd, probably because of how good he is in the ring and his championship run. They figured having him drop the title and then win it right back will get him over even further. Also there was an agreement between Morpheus and Omega that Omega would be the first ever champion but Morpheus would be the first two time champion. Why Santon? Very easy to answer. Fans are intrigued by Santon. He has the mystery of being a masked character and there's a perception that he could beat anybody even though he hasn't been booked strong. Just more of that mystery showing. Omega and Morpheus didn't want to pick someone who would be obvious and they didn't want to pick someone who would never be believable as champ like Torpor. So they went right in the middle with Santon.. They also wanted a title change to give an impression that anything can happen in the GWF. Another reason Santon was picked is because he is very popular in the locker room and is well respected. A great, safe worker. A guy that treats everyone with respect. So they felt he deserved a brief championship run.
As far as the Dorado Sundown departure goes, this was a big disappointment. Omega and Morpheus had hoped they would generate some kind of heat but they were rarely getting any reaction from the crowd whatsoever, and in wrestling, no reaction is death to a character. Part of the problem was Bullwhip was a sloppy wrestler. Blacklash was a fine worker in the ring but he was really carrying the load and it's likely that the fans sensed this and that's why they had no real interest in the team. After a few meetings toward the end with Omega, Morpheus and Blacklash, Omega floated the idea of perhaps Bullwhip leaving and Blacklash staying but it was decided that their characters were irreperably damaged and it wouldn't be worth it. Also Blacklash didn't want to leave his good friend behind, so he decided they should both leave. They both went to an independent fed in Alpha Centauri with no hard feelings; it just didn't work out.
So now their heel characters are gone. Again, they aren't planning to have a true face/heel split; they intend this to be a slower burn but they do want to establish someone who could be a heel eventually. This is why they used the story of Jammer being attacked by Ricken Prince. Jammer had actually injured his knee in his previous match and a doctor recommended surgery. He did one more match where Blood did most of the work and then they did the Ricken Prince attack story. Another candidate for being a big heel is actually Morpheus himself. He is getting so over with the crowd, they have a feeling him turning on Omega will have a big impact and make him a monster heel. This is why they had Dorado Sundown imply that Morpheus had the referee rig their last match without Omega knowing. Planting the seeds for some tension between the two and a potential future turn. But again, these plans are for further down the line, they don't know how this will all play out for sure.
Morpheus and Omega both went out to find the talent that they brought in. The guys they found were absolute standouts but especially Cosmos. They believe he is an absolute future superstar and Morpheus even suspects Cosmos will one day be better than both of them. He is so far ahead of the curve. He needs a little polish, he's still very young, but the potential is there.
And that's about it. Torpor is still working on his contacts at Cygnus but it's a difficult and dangerous thing to defect for Cygnusians so this has to proceed very carefully. Other than that, everyone in the Fed is very happy with how things are going. We will see if it stays that way.
