Endgame defeats Godsend with a Shining Wizard
Sly Drury defeats Hector with Regime Change
Basilisk defeats Orrus with the Gaze of Stone

But wait..
At the runway stands a hulking caped figure. A spotlight reveals none other than Pegasus the Powerful (2102 SE). Pegasus, in a lengthy rant, is befuddled, bewildered, bedazzled, besmirched and thoroughly insulted that he was not invited to this grand tournament and demands an immediate match with Monolith. Monolith as well as the TOC commissioners, impressed that Pegasus not only knew about the TOC, found the means to travel thru time, and located Merapis (he remembered to take the left at Albuquerque). They all shrug and say "meh, whatever." The match proceeds.
Pegasus, his anger palpable, tears into a weary Monolith and wins after 2 Project Pegasus finishers.
Pegasus, hands raised in victory and gloating down the runway, leaves the arena to a cascade of boos as he is showered with food and drink containers for ruining Monoliths Championship ceremony.

I though of that about midway thru the first round of matches. it was going to end the same way whether Pegasus won or lost, only it would been a bit funnier if he had lost. hanging his head in shame walking back up the runway while being pelted with trash from the fans.
