I believe if it's the same as the original it's just a 1-6. What you roll is the finisher rating. Nice! I don't have Max with that particular finisher yet... Must not show up until 2111... Appreciate the quick response, my friend.

So... I have a question... How does Max Shield's finisher mechanic work? The online version of his card just says (roll)* but there are no corresponding instructions... Any help would be appreciated... Thanks in advance! (Roll 1-6) * * Roll one die. The result of the roll is the finisher rating.

TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS 2 PROLOGUE: Hi everyone, it's me Johnny Rocket, your intrepid reporter here to report on the unreportable, The Champions Of The Galaxy Tournament. The first one has already been held, no-one is supposed to know about these tournaments, but I've got my ways.... Monolith won the first tournament and somehow Pegasus, who had not been invited, found out about the tournament, was insulted that he had not been invited, made his way to the hosting planet Merapis (how did he find it anyway?), but was too late to get himself a seed in the tournament, and challenged Monolith during the winners ceremony. Pegasus beat Monolith, but the audience was not too pleased with Pegasus hubris in interrupting the celebration. Pegasus was pelted with trash and showered with boos as he walked up the runway after the impromptu match. That leads us to the 2nd tournament. Pegasus is still angered that he was not chosen to participate and has been making his case in front of the TOC Commissioners and the other wrestlers who were invited that he deserves a seed in the TOC 2. The Commissioners remain unmoved attempting to explain to Pegasus that the participants were chosen by the Immortal Godsend and that they, the commissioners, are merely carrying out his wishes. At the same time Pegasus dodges everyones questions on exactly how he found out about the tournament to begin with. At this juncture Pegasus issues an open challenge to the participants to a one off match of their choosing, the prize...their seeding in the tournament which Pegasus will claim if he wins. Monolith is about to step forward to accept the challenge when Hector interrupts. He states that a simple match is too mundane and suggests a series of contests of thought and skill. Pegasus, thinking on this for a few moments, agrees. The "contests" are as follows... 1. Pick Up Sticks - Hector utilizing his superior patience, wins this easily. 2. Rock, Paper, Scissors - Pegasus wins as he kept choosing Rock to Hector's Scissors. 3. Hot Dog Eating - Sly Drury suggested this one. Both participants were puzzled as to why anyone would want to consume mass quantities of these strange "meat tubes" but they both agreed. Pegasus edged out Hector...barely, but both were the worse for wear as they both projectile vomited all over the TOC commissioners afterwards. Hector bows out gracefully as Pegasus takes his spot in the Tournament of Champions... Monolith smiles. * Note: To keep Pegasus (2102 SE version) in line with the rest of the wrestlers. I added an add1 to his Pegasus Press Slam, lowered one of his dazed 1 to hurt 2 on L2O and lowered his Ring rating from A to B
ROUND ONE * Thunder defeats Endgame in a knockdown, drag out battle using Tempest. * Aethran overmaster scores a quick and decisive victory over Thantos with The Reign of the Overmaster. * Mandrill pulls out all the stops, but is unable to overcome Monolith who is victorious with Catastrophe. * Godsend survives a typical Basilisk battering before winning using 2 consecutive Godsend Gourdbusters. * Chaos dominates and defeats Max Shield with the Bow Of Defeat. * It takes 3 Project Pegasus finishers before Pegasus is able to put down crowd favorite Orrus. * Wolf is able to take advantage of a missed Cosmic Big Bang and defeat Star Warrior with the Savage Face Claw. * Sly Drury emerges victorious over Matador Of M83 using Regime Change.
SECOND ROUND * In a battle of Aethrans, Thunder is able to score a pinfall after the Aethran Overmaster misses a turnbuckle clothesline. * In a wild match with considerable out of the ring brawling, Monolith beats Godsend with Catastrophe. * Pegasus manages to survive multiple Bow Of Defeat finishers and defeats Chaos with Project Pegasus. * Sly Drury dominates Wolf from start to finish and wins with Regime Change.
SEMI FINALS * Thunder and Monolith take turn battering each other, but Monolith triumphs with Catastrophe. * Pegasus defeats Sly Drury after a flying elbow drop.
FINALS * Monolith wears down and finally defeats Pegasus with I Break You.
MONOLITH IS THE WINNER OF THE SECOND TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS!!
EPILOGUE: Pegasus, knowing he gave it his best but came up short, extends his hand to Monolith. a wary Monolith eventually accepts the gesture of sportsmanship from Pegasus. Pegasus then raises Monoliths arm in victory. Pegasus makes his way up the ramp to the back, this time to wild cheers from the crowd.

A 2 day Mega Event for the first ever Tournament of Champions *house rule*: I roll twice for all DQ checks as this ain't ballet, unless it's a DQ move on the wrestler card then the refs are little more stringent.
Tournament of Champions Day 1 Golden Era Bracket -Thantos made Star Warrior tap to the MASTERLOCK after several previous attempts and kicking out of two COSMIC BIG BANGâs earlier in the match. (***)
-Thunder pinned Wolf when he hit TEMPEST and got a very quick count on a stunned Wolf who argued with the ref that he kicked out at 2 and 3 quarters. (*)
Next Generation Era Bracket -Chaos held the BOW OF DEFEAT to make Matador of M83 tap when he showed he wasnât going to let go until he gave up. (**1/2)
-Mandrill would not be stay down and defeated Max Shield with back to back SIMIAN SKULL CRUSHERâs to get the pin after previously kicking out of a near perfectly executed OMICRON FORCE. (***1/2)
Universe Shattered Era Bracket -Sly Drury put Hector the Holy Brown Bear away pretty handedly with a decisive and quick REGIME CHANGE. After the match to add salt to the wound Sly had an unknown ally come down to the ring as they double teamed Hector as Sly left the ring with his signature swagger and declaring he âRuns this Tournamentâ as Hector was left lying. (*)
-Monolith wasted no time and went for back to back CATASTROPHEâs to put away the Aethran Overmaster. (*)
Origins Era Bracket -Endgame defeated Godsend with THIS ENDS NOW! after previously kicking out of two KINGDOM COMESâ and just would not stay down. (***)
-Orrus the Unstoppable defeated the Basilisk by DQ when the Basilisk put Orrus into the rinside stairs and then grabbed a chair and smacked him with it not really understanding it was illegal and the home crowd was irate and the Basilisk just slunk away after his quarry was out cold. (*1/2)
Tournament of Champions Day 2 Golden Era Bracket Championship -Thunder put Thantos into the ringside stairs and then rolled him in the ring and hit a TEMPEST and a quick count for the win to be crowned the Golden Champion. (1/2)
Next Generation Era Bracket Championship -Chaos made Mandrill tap to BOW OF DEFEAT after a hard fought battle that went outside of the ring multiple times as Mandrill was trying everything he could to knock the big man off his feet, to win the Next Championship. (**)
Universe Shattered Era Bracket Championship -Monolith defeated Sly Drury after a CATASTROPHE in a decidedly one sided match to win the Universal Championship. (**1/2)
Origins Era Bracket Championship -Orrus stunned Endgame by out brawling him on the outside of the ring and softened him up enough to hit an UNSTOPPABLE SLAM and quick count to win the Origins Championship to the elation of the home crowd. (***)
Tournament of Champions Championship Semifinals -Chaos made Thunder tap to the BOW OF DEFEAT after this being the first match that really pushed Chaos and he showed some actual weakness. (***1/2) Monolith man handled Orrus and put him out of his misery with CATASTROPHE. (*1/2)
Tournament of Champions Womenâs Championship -Amazonia the Savage defeated Thrash after hitting her with multiple RUNNING SABREâs and couldnât keep Thrash down until she finally hit her with WARRIORâS SHIELD to win the ToC Womenâs Championship.
Tournament of Champions Championship Finals -A bloody Chaos outlasted Monolith, who came out like a house on fire to put Chaos on the defense early, and finally got him to tap to BOW OF DEFEAT to become the first ever ToC Champion in a hard fought battle that could have gone either way and to an excited audience that was firmly behind Chaos after Monolith dispatched their local champion in the previous round. (*****)
A lot of fun to have such high grade talent in one tournament and if i continue going down this ToC route my thoughts are possibly treating the 4 eras like a territories fed and wrestlers could be brought in by GODSEND and can challenge for their Era's title if they were active at all during that time. Then only Era Champions qualify for the ToC Title as Chaos may vacate his NG (c) and that title can be contested now. Not unlike my Kronos fed, but with more restrictions due to the Eras constraint.

Is there any thought on eventually doing a second TOC set? While other wrestlers can be brought in, Kronos style, part of the playstyle of this set revolves around the "amalgamated" nature of the wrestlers. For instance, I made a few modifications to Pegasus in my second tourney, to better bring him in line with the rest. Funny thing though is not every wrestler came out for the better. Star Warrior, for instance, has a nerfed level 3 defense. If others decide to bring in outsiders like I did, do you plan on making any changes to those you bring in?

A second TOC set with 8 of the greatest tag teams would be awesome. The three bonus cards would be two more womens wrestlers plus a Merapis wrestler (maybe a Merapis subspecies wrestler). A wild second set idea would be a best of CPC TOC set.So many good wrestlers to choose from in that Federation.

I can't see a CPC TOC at all.
A Tag Team set would be interesting although I'm not sure Tom wants to split the COTG fan base too much (between the GWF, Battlelines and FSCWF, it's pretty heavy and we know Tom wants to do that set involving the Crime Stoppers at some point)
If he did decide to go crazy and do it, my choices for teams Gladiators (Brute and Massacre), Animal Pack, New Order, The Mercenaries, Titan Fury, Desolation Factor, Stars and Stripes, Castilex/Mean Streets (Castilex I think would fit better but losing their mechanics strips them of a lot of their identity so Mean Streets would make decent replacements) Super Nova and Mother Superior for the women.
I picked teams that lasted a while. I wanted Gladiators, AniMen and Titans to all have tag representation but with 8 teams, I had to stick with one each. I did think about the Greeks but Ram and Badger had a good feud with the Glads so they got a slight edge.

Your list is very good.Mine would be : 1.Gladiator team (brute & massacre or overkill/malice. 2.Greek Gods. 3.New Order (or Twin Blood). 4.Animen (ram&badger). 5.Troubleshooters. 6.Desolation Factor. 7.Masked Assassin team or Lord Nexus & BJ Boxer That's 14 wrestlers , the other two could be singles wrestlers with ties to the first set. 1.Alpha Force (Teams with Starwarrior) 2.An evil character (Murdock?) The Bonus Cards would be 1.SuperNova 2.Phantasy (or Sniper ) 3.An enemy or tag partner for Orrus
