It's 6:05 all the time ....with Tony and David Tony and David opened the show with a recap of the situation last week that resulted in new tag team champions, and the argument at the end between Bob Backlund and Sgt Slaughter. Don Kernodle came out to say Sarge and Backlund were both heated afterwards and they have agreed to settle it in the ring right here and move on. He said he's going to be there in a neutral corner to make sure it's a fair and clean fight and he just hopes nobody gets hurt. Iron Sheik defeated George South.Sheik attacked at the bell and never let up. He won in easy fashion in two minutes with the CAMEL CLUTCH. David talked with Sheik after the match and gave him a hard time about causing problems between Sarge and Backlund. Sheik said stupid Americans are easy to make fight, but Sheik did nothing but defend himself against Howdy Doody Bob Backlund and he will crush Backlund, Slaughter, and everyone else in his way to the world title. Kurt Angle and Mark Henry defeated The American Males.Riggs and Bagwell tried their best, but Angle and Henry were just too much. Angle sealed the deal with the OLYMPIC SLAM on Riggs. Angle and Henry spoke with Tony and David. Kurt said he has to give Riggs and Bagwell some credit: after he beat Bagwell they wanted a tag team match and they got it. They are either brave or stupid or both. Henry boomed that Vader isn't brave or smart but he's going to be hurt real soon when he meets the world's strongest man. He officially called out Vader to meet him in the ring and then he said Vader can watch from a hospital bed as Kurt Angle wins the world championship from Nick Bockwinkel. Boogie Woogie Man Jimmy Valiant beat Laughing Man Hugh Morrus. The House Of Horrors hit a snag in their comeback tour here as Valiant wasn't ready to roll over. Sinister Minister tried to interfere but it backfired and Jimmy got the pin with the BOOGIE WOOGIE ELBOW. Big Van Vader stomped over to Tony and David. He said he heard Mark Henry out here running his mouth, but he won't be able to say anything with no teeth and a broken jaw, and that's what he'll get when he gets in the ring with Vader. He reminded everyone that Vader feels no pain and he fears no man, then stormed the ring. Big Van Vader defeated the Mulkey Brothers in a handicapped match.Clearly the Mulkeys were the ones at the disadvantage here. They should have brought some help. Vader stacked them both in the corner and won with a VADER BOMB.
Sgt Slaughter won by disqualification over Bob Backlund when Iron Sheik interfered. Intense but mostly clean action between the two heroes of the ring. Sarge was in trouble after a series of underhook suplexes but Bob could not get the pin. Slaughter made his comeback and was going for the COBRA CLUTCH when Iron Sheik hit the ring to attack. Don Kernodle jumped into the fray to chase him away. Sarge went over to Tony and David and was in a rage. He said he wants a match with "that scum, that slime, that maggot" and he wants it as soon as possible. Bob Backlund came over and said HE wants the Sheik and as far as he's concerned nothing was settled here. The show once again ended with the pair arguing as Don Kernodle was in the middle trying to play peacemaker.

Pro Wrestling USAUTC Arena Chattanooga, TN The prelude to the Great American Bash
The super summer sizzler tour Mr Electricity Steve Regal defeated Tiger Conway JrConway had things going his way early, but Regal put him down after about seven minutes of action with the FT Lauderdale Leglock. Dutch Mantell and Tracy Smothers beat The Blackbirds (Koko and Brickhouse). One of the hottest feuds in the Memphis territory was on display here, as Dutch and Tracy went to war with Koko and Brickhouse. The action was wild and intense in and out of the ring. Finally Dutch used the Double Dutch Clutch to get the win in around ten minutes. 1/2 of the tag team champions "Raging Bull" Manny Fernandez defeated Don Kernodle. No love lost here as one half of the former tag champs squared off with one half of the current titleholders. Don had the advantage for most of the match, but Bull took advantage of a costly mistake and hit a top rope splash (deathjump) to get the pin in about five minutes. Eric The Red and Ox Baker won by disqualification over Jimmy Valiant and Thunderbolt Patterson.A really competitive match in this ongoing feud. Ox hit Jimmy with the HEART PUNCH but T-bolt made the save. Jimmy managed to make a short comeback and tag out. Patterson went wild on both of the opposing team members, ending in a brawl on the floor where he hit both men over the head with the timekeepers bell. Iron Sheik defeated Ranger Ross.Sheik attacked with a throat chop at the bell and never let up. Ross got no offense and Sheik put him away with the CAMEL CLUTCH in about two minutes. Keith Larson beat Mr X.An impressive win for the up and coming Larson who scored a decisive pin after a pair of dropkicks at roughly three minutes into the match. Following the match Nord The Barbarian attacked Larson and used a pair of jarring running leg drops to hurt the upstart. Jimmy Valiant ran out to chase Nord away and make the save. Jack Brisco defeated Kurt Angle via FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK.A healthy Brisco got his revenge for the loss in Japan. A back and forth chess match early as both amatuer standouts took it slow in the feeling out process. Finally Angle dove in for a double leg but was blocked and Jack countered with a double leg takedown of his own to the delight of the crowd. Later in the bout Angle attempted the same suplex frenzy that caught Jack off guard in their first encounter, but Brisco was having none of it. He countered and went on a barrage of offense that ended with the figure four for the win. The number one contender Angle has been beaten and Jack Brisco has once again staked his claim in the title picture. An interesting turn of events heading into the Great American Bash tour.

World Championship WrestlingTony and David kicked off the show talking about the recent Great American Bash kickoff event and brought out Don Kernodle, Jimmy Valiant, and Keith Larson. Don talked about the continuing problems between Sarge and Bob Backlund and since they can't settle it with words they'll settle it in the ring on the Great American Bash tour. He then thanked Jimmy Valiant for looking out for Keith against Nord. Jimmy said he thinks Keith Larson has earned his spot and Don agreed. Don said Larson came into the territory under an assumed name to prove himself, and he's done so as far as everyone is concerned. He told Keith Sarge is more interested in going after Sheik and settling things with Backlund, but Don needs a tag team partner to go after the tag team titles and he can't think of anyone better than his brother Rocky Kernodle. The rechristened Rocky Kernodle told Don he won't let him down and they'll prove it tonight when they face Eric The Red and Ox Baker. Iron Sheik defeated Keith Steinborn with the CAMEL CLUTCH.A dominant performance by Sheik, who won in less than two minutes once again. Iron Sheik spoke with Tony and David, and was joined by Ivan Koloff. Sheik said the worthless Americans Sgt Slaughter and Bob Backlund can't even get along with a common enemy, but Sheik has joined forces with Ivan Koloff so they can watch each other's backs and defeat every American in their way. Koloff said separately they are formidable but together they will be unstoppable. Don and Rocky Kernodle defeated Eric The Red and Ox Baker (w/Sinister Minister).I could not have asked the dice for a better result. In the end Rocky and Don used a version of the ATOMIC BOMB on Eric. Minister got into the ring to throw fire, but Rocky dropkicked him and the fire went into Minister's face instead allowing the Kernodle brothers to get the pin. Tag champs Rick Rude and Manny Fernandez with manager Percy Pringle came out to talk. Manny said he heard Kernodle say he wants to get the tag titles back, but it doesn't matter if his partner is Slaughter or his wimpy kid brother it's not gonna happen. Rude added that people say he's spreading himself thin as the tag team and US champ, but there's a lot of Rick Rude to go around and later tonight Superstar Bill Dundee is going to find that out the hard way. Kurt Angle (w/Mark Henry) defeated George South.Dominant performance by the number one contender to the world title. Angle won after a series of brutal suplexes and the ANKLE LOCK submission. Following the match Angle said it's going to be him and Henry against Vader and Brisco at the next stop on the Great American Bash tour, but after that he's coming to Atlnta to win the world heavyweight title from Nick Bockwinkel and there's not a thing either Vader or Brisco can do to stop him. Vader heard that as a challenge and stepped into the studio. Mark Henry got in his face but before anything could happen Bill Watts came out to stop them. He said if they want to fight ahead of their tag team match they can do it later tonight in the main event. Rick Rude (w/Percy Pringle) beat Superstar Dundee to defend the US title. Things were going Superstar's way after a heavy offensive barrage. He went to the top rope to finish it, but Rude recovered and slammed him to the mat. Rick followed with the RUDE AWAKENING for the pin. NWA champion Nick Bockwinkel appeared with manager Bobby Heenan. Nick said a champion's work is never done. He mentioned that Angle is the top contender but Brisco got the win last time they met. Heenan stepped in and said the championship committee decided that means Angle gets the first title match, but Brisco fights the winner. Either way, those two goofs will be too busy beating on each other along with Henry and Vader that neither one will be in any shape to offer a real challenge to the greatest wrestler in the world, Nick Bockwinkel. Big Van Vader won by disqualification over Mark Henry. The story here was Henry surprising Vader and overpowering him, which nobody has ever been able to do. He slammed Vader on the arena floor and got back in to finish it, but Vader came back and set him up for the RELEASE POWER BOMB. Kurt Angle got in the ring and attacked to cause the disqualification. Vader shook off the attack by Angle and sent him fleeing from the ring. Henry got to his feet and got clotheslined over the top rope for his efforts as Vader stood tall in the ring to end the show.

The Great American Bash tourBayfront Arena, St Pertersburg, FL B Brian Blair defeated Wild Bill WhiteWhite is a game competitor, but Blair wore him down and got the win with his AIRPLANE SPIN into a COBRA CLUTCH in about four minutes. Between matches Blair was heading back to the locker room when Paul Orndorff was heading to the ring for his match. Blair and Orndorff got into a shoving match that had to be broken up by referees. Mr Wonderful Paul Orndorff defeated Sam Houston.Sam gave Orndorff a hard time in this one, using his agility to keep Paul on his toes. Finally Orndorff took over and put it away with the JUMPING PILEDRIVER. After the match an angry Orndorff put the boots to Sam and set him up for another PILEDRIVER. Brian Blair ran back down the aisle and attacked Paul to put a stop to it. The referee and arena security had to hold Paul back and force him to the locker room as he vowed to get back at Blair. Jimmy Valiant beat Nord The Barbarian.Nord was off a step without his injured manager James Mitchell (who burned himself in an accident on the last WCW TV show). Nord came on strong, but Jimmy fought back and got the pin with a running elbow in about five minutes. Don and Rocky Kernodle beat Hugh Morrus and Eric The Red.The brothers were a step ahead of the makeshift tag team for most of the match. In the end Rocky pinned Eric with a top rope sunset flip. Following the match there was some dissention between Hugh Morrus and Eric The Red but it did not escalate. Bob Backlund pinned Iron Sheik.Sheik started quick, but Bob rallied. They went back and forth for almost ten minutes until Backlund hit a piledriver for the pin. Marcus Alexander Bagwell beat US champ Rick Rude (w/Percy) in a non-title match.Yeah, that happened. Bagwell got a lucky reversal and hit the YELLOW JACKET SUPLEX. Percy distracted the ref to prevent the pin. Bagwell used a power slam and went right back to his version of the Fisherman Suplex for another pin attempt. This time Percy jumped in the ring and tried to his Bagwell with his shoe, but Bagwell stopped him and hit Rude with the shoe. Bagwell covered and got the win over the stunned US champion. Gordon Solie interviewed Bagwell at ringside after his upset win. Bagwell was interrupted by Rude who said people say he's over extending himself as US and tag team champion, but a fluke win on a mistake by Percy doesn't prove a thing. He said Bagwell and his stupid partner Riggs can show up wherever Raging and Ravishing appears and get beat down and tossed out just like everyone else in wrestling. He warned Bagwell to watch his back from now on, because it has a target on it. Jack Brisco and Big Van Vader defeated Kurt Angle and Mark Henry. A great main event. Vader and Henry locked horns, Jack and Angle traded holds and suplexes, but in the end Jack used the FIGURE FOUR on Henry for the win as Vader stopped Angle from breaking it up.

Fun tag team main event. Also nice to see the Kernodles win. ..... Thanks for checking it out. Kernodles are tough to book. They are better than they seem they should be, but IDK how Rocky will hold up against the top talent. May eventually get around to pairing Don back up with Sarge once the deal with Sheik/Slaughter/Backlund finishes up. As you can tell, I was kind of in a holding pattern until I could get the new TNT set. Now I'm going to be catching up and cranking out the rest of the Bash tour.
