NWA Pro Wrestling Columbus Municipal Auditorium, Columbus, GA Mike Jackson pinned Frank DaltonAn upset win for Jackson as he surprised Dalton with a float over rollup and got the win. Johnny Mantell defeated Ranger Ross.Mantell goes two in a row in non-televised action on his minor comeback trail. Ross just could not get it going in the right direction in this match despite numerous attempts on offense. Finally Mantell used his Russian leg sweep for the pin. Eric The Red and Ox Baker beat Mike Rotunda and Mark Fleming.Mike took a beating and kept going early, mounting an impressive comeback on Eric the Red. Ox got the tag, but Rotunda kept rolling. He tagged out to Fleming who had a short burst of offense before being cut off by Baker and soon after pinned following a HEART PUNCH. Before the next match Bobby Heenan took the microphone from ring announcer GMC and berated the fans in attendance in his usual manner. He then introduced "the enforcer of the Bobby Heenan Family, Mr Wonderful Paul Orndorff." Paul Orndorff beat Brian Blair in a grudge match. The fight broke out right at the bell as the rivals traded hard shots. They fought all over the place before Paul got Blair in position for a PILEDRIVER. Blair fought his way out of it and mounted a comeback, but Paul took advantage of a mistake and went on to successfully administer his finisher for the pin. Manny Fernandez, Rick Rude, and The Spoiler beat Jimmy Valiant, Tommy Rich, and Thunderbolt Patterson. My top good guys aren't doing so good lately. Spoiler made his return after a long absence to fill in as the third man on Team RnR. Great match with lots of back and forth action. In the end Manny won a brawl with Valiant by pulling a foreign object out of his trunks and knocking Boogie Woogie silly. After that Valiant was easy prey for the three count to seal the win for the hated trio. The bad guys celebrated their win on the way down the aisle as the fans nearly revolted. Valiant grabbed the mic and, still trying to recover from the illegal blow earlier, made a challenge to Fernandez. He said they've been occupying the same space for too long, and Manny has been getting away with cheap shots and dirty tactics for too long. He said he wants it settled once and for all at Starrcade in a loser leaves town bunkhouse match where they come as they are and anything goes.

November marks three years since the return to the forums and the color reboot. So I'll take this spot for a recap of the first three years with roll call of champions and notable feuds.
World champion: 1 Randy Savage (4 defenses, 1 non-title win) 2 Big Van Vader (4 defenses) 3 Jack Brisco (2 defenses) 4 Nick Bockwinkel (11 defenses, 3 non-title wins) since December 2021.
world tag team champions 1 Road Warriors (12 defenses, 2 disqualification losses) 2 Moondogs (2 defenses, 1 non-title win as champs) won the belts in a triple threat by beating the Rock N Roll Express, meaning the Warriors never got beat for the titles. 3 Sgt Slaughter and Don Kernodle (5 defenses, 1 non-title win as champs) 4 Rick Rude and Manny Fernandez (3 defenses, 1 disqualification loss as champs) 5 Rock N Roll Express (1 defense, current)
United States Champion 1 Harley Race (3 defenses) 2 Magnum TA (4 defenses) 3 Masked Superstar (4 defenses, 2 non-title, 1 disqualification loss as champ) 4 Tommy Rich (9 defenses) 5 Rick Rude (4 defenses, 1 disqualification loss, 1 non-title loss) 6 Tommy Rich (no defenses) 7 Iron Sheik (2 defenses, current)
notable feuds -King Kong Bundy vs Bruiser Brody. Stemming from the results of the world title tournament, these two engaged in a brief, bloody feud until Brody established himself and sent Bundy packing. - Jimmy Valiant, Hacksaw, Brad Armstrong, Bob Armstrong vs the Russians (Ivan, Alexis, Boris, Nikolai). - Jimmy Valiant and Manny Fernandez vs Midnight Express (Bobby and Dennis). The Express could never get the better of Jimmy and Manny, culminating in a scaffold match. the Express has not been seen here since. - Tommy Rich vs Masked Superstar. Heated rivalry over the United States title that Rich eventually won. - Bob Backlund vs Bob Roop. A series of great technical matches started to get violent and turned into a rivaly that ended with a cage match won by Backlund on Christmas night. - Jimmy Valiant vs. Manny Fernandez. The feud that has gone on for the better part of two years. Jimmy and Manny were in line for a tag team title match, but Jimmy got tricked by Rock Riddle and put the title match on the line in a match versus Riddle and Lenny Lane. Riddle and Lane won the upset and Manny turned on his partner because of it. - Nick Bockwinkel vs Bob Backlund. More of an ongoing thread over the reign of Bockwinkel, as Backlund keeps putting himself into title contention and getting blocked by Bockwinkel's use of cronies and his manager Bobby Heenan to stop him.

World Championship Wrestlingw/ your hosts, Jim Ross and Gordon Solie Jim and Gordon kicked off the show with the announcement that the big event STARRCADE is on the way, with details and match announcements in the coming weeks. After that they were joined by Rock Riddle and Disco Inferno. Rock riled the crowd with his insults directed at Jacqueline and again how she should know her place, and that is beneath any man who so chooses. Jackie was having none of it and came out to confront Rock and Disco. Disco told her to beat it before he forgets she's a woman and she gets what she deserves. Jackie said they think a woman's place is in the kitchen, but her place is in the ring and she still wants to prove it against "either one of these clowns". Rock said he only believes SHE belongs in the kitchen and she's obsolete because there's a new species coming. Jackie was confused when CHYNA attacked from behind and locked Jackie in a reverse bear hug. Jackie was helpless as Chyna tossed her around like a rag doll. Finally Rock gave the order and Chyna broke the hold. He introduced the world to their new bodyguard and the woman who will revolutionize sports as we know it, the Ninth Wonder Of The World Chyna. Sgt Slaughter beat Wild Bill White via pinfall.White never goes down easy, but Sarge was up to the task. He used a throat drop on the ropes and got the win in about four minutes. Sarge went over to talk to Jim and Gordon and was joined by Thunderbolt Patterson. Sarge said there are some bad men in the area lately, like Iron Sheik and the Russians, but there are badder men ready to fight them. Patterson concurred and said Spoiler showed up again out of nowhere earlier this week and they have some unfinished business. He promised to make Spoiler's latest stay in the territory a short one and called him to get in the ring. Thunderbolt Patterson defeated The Spoiler after the HEAD BUTT.Great match. Each man gave it all they had, but Patterson had a little bit more this time as he unleashed the HEAD BUTT that stunned Spoiler and got the pin. Piper's Pit was next, as Roddy was joined by US champion Iron Sheik. Piper set it up and Sheik did his usual. He insulted USA, Sgt Slaughter, and said there's nobody here who can even touch him for the US title. Roddy stopped him and said "I'm here Sheik, and I think I could do a little more than touch you in the ring". Things started to get heated and commissioner Bill Watts appeared. He said scheduling Sheik to back up his words with action has become his mission in life lately, so he wants to do just that and give Roddy Piper a US title match tonight in the main event. Sheik was livid, Piper was happy, and the fans were ecstatic. Rock N Roll Express beat Ox Baker and Eric The Red to defend the tag team titles.Very solid match. Ox and Eric looked impressive, but Rick and Robert are determined not to be flash in the pan champs. Ricky made the hot tag and the duo hit the DOUBLE DROPKICK on Ox to secure the win. After the match Kevin Sullivan led a Dungeon Of Doom attack on Ricky and Robert. Eric and Ox were joined by Kharis as they pummeled the champs. Finally Big Van Vader rushed the ring to clean house and went after Kharis to start their scheduled match. Big Van Vader pinned Kharis The Mummy after the RELEASE POWER BOMB.The Mummy took the fight to Vader, but another upset was not in the cards. Vader took over and won in dominating fashion with his devastating POWER BOMB. Sullivan tried to attack with the golden spike, but Jack Brisco was there to stop him and send him and the Mummy fleeing. Vader grabbed the mic and challenged Sullivan to face him one on one at Starrcade. Bill Apter had a special interview with Jimmy Valiant. They detailed Jimmy's successful team with Manny Fernandez, how they were in line for a tag team title shot until it all went awry, and how Manny turned on Jimmy as a result. Apter brought up Manny cutting the beard of Jimmy and sending him away from the area for several weeks until his return and the feud has been running ever since. Jimmy said it will never be water under the bridge and they'll never settle things until one of them is gone for good. That's why he has challenged Manny to an anything goes Bunkhouse match at Starrcade where the loser leaves. Rowdy Roddy Piper and Iron Sheik went to a double disqualification in a US title match. Amazing match. Full of Roddy Piper bell to bell energy. Roddy fought out of the CAMEL CLUTCH, Sheik survived the SLEEPER, they fought all over the place. Finally "ALL HELL has broken loose", as called by Jim Ross as they fought on the floor and started slinging chairs at each other from opposite sides of the ring. The referee called off the match and ruled it a double disqualification.

NWA Pro Wrestling The Fairgrounds, Tampa, FL Kevin Sullivan defeated Mike Jackson via pinfall. Sullivan attacked at the bell and never let up. Complete carnage from bell to bell until Sullivan decided to end it with the DOUBLE FOOT STOMP. Disco Inferno (w/Rock Riddle and Chyna) beat Brad Armstrong. The presence of Chyna threw Brad off his game from the start and a timely trip from the outside by the Ninth Wonder sent Armstrong fumbling forward off the ropes and into the LAST DANCE to give Disco the win. Jack Brisco defeated Samu via submission. Samu jumped Jack during the introductions and took the bout to the floor right away. Brisco made the comeback and then made quick work of the tag team specialist, winning via Figure Four in about four minutes. Ravishing Rick Rude pinned Sam Houston. Houston fought with all his might, but Rude would not stay down. Rick kicked out of the Bulldog twice and finally used the RUDE AWAKENING to get the win in roughly twelve minutes. Paul Orndorff defeated Bob Backlund after the PILEDRIVER. Bob fought valiantly to try to avenge his previous loss, but Orndorff seems to have his number. They brawled inside and out of the ring and Bob held his own. Finally Paul tossed the ring announcer aside and used the steel chair he had been sitting on to blast Bob over the back. He threw Backlund into the ring and used his signature move for the pin.

World Championship Wrestlingw/ Gordon Solie and Jim Ross JR and Gordon opened the show and talked about the upcoming Starrcade super show. Then they changed the subject to last week's main event and the chaotic finish between Rowdy Roddy Piper and US champion Iron Sheik. Commissioner Bill Watts came out to say Sheik won't be saving his US title that easily, because he's calling for a rematch between the two at Starrcade and there must be a winner because it will be a no disqualification match. Raging Bull Manny Fernandez pinned George South.South gave Manny all he could handle here and even got a near fall after a pinpoint knee drop. Manny made the comeback and got the win after the FLYING BURRITO. Manny talked to JR after the match. JR mentioned the challenge made by Jimmy Valiant and Manny went off. He said Jimmy tried to throw both of their careers away way back when he put personal feuds ahead of title matches and now he wants to throw his own career away with his challenge for a loser leaves Bunkhouse Match. Manny said it's fine with him because at Starrcade he's going to finish it for good. Miss Jacqueline Moore defeated Lady X with the FLOATOVER DDT.Jackie wasted no time here. Lady X got in a few moves of offense before Jackie shut her down in less than two minutes. Jackie went over to talk to Gordon after the match. She said Disco and Rock Riddle have gone and gotten a bodyguard in Chyna, which is fine because they're going to need her. Jackie said they caught her off guard once, but it won't happen again. Brad Armstrong entered the scene. He said he knows Jacqueline is a bad woman, and after what happened to him earlier this week in Tampa he knows how dangerous Chyna is at ringside helping Disco. So he proposed a partnership to watch each other's backs against Rock Riddle's "goof troop". Jackie said it sounded like a great idea and the sealed the deal with a handshake. In Piper's Pit, Roddy talked about his US title match coming up with Iron Sheik and then introduced his two-time guest, the world heavyweight champion Nick Bockwinkel, along with Bobby Heenan. Bobby said everyone knows what the US title match will be at Starrcade now, but there is no clear challenger to the world champion Nick. Nick said that's because he's vanquished everyone in his path for so long that there is nobody left to make a credible challenge. He also thanked the work of Paul Orndorff for taking care of Bob Backlund, hopefully for good. Jack Brisco came out and Bobby stopped him in his tracks. He said Jack has already gotten his rematch so he can hit the bricks. Jack laughed and said his time will come around again, but he just wanted to say he heard through the grapevine that the NWA is working on a GIANT match for Bockwinkel at Starrcade, so he better go soak up the sun and stay healthy while he can, because it might not last much longer. One Man Gang (w/Kevin Sullivan) defeated Mike Rotundo.Gang jump started the match during introductions and the young All American out of Syracuse couldn't get any real offense going. Gang won with the 747 SPLASH in about three minutes. Sullivan talked to JR and Gordon after the match. He said Big Van Vader wants him at Starrcade, but it's a case of being careful what you ask for. Vader has a match with Nord coming up next and if he can get through that he will get his wish at Starrcade. Big Van Vader pinned Nord The Barbarian after the VADER BOMB.Nord really took it to Vader, showing once again that he is a great starter in these big matches but maybe not so much with a big finish. Vader took control and hit a front power slam to set up the VADER BOMB and the pin. Gordon and JR talked up the upcoming main event with each man trying to climb the ladder of title contention as Tommy Rich battled Nikita. Gordon said Tommy has fallen on hard times in a series of losses and wants desperately to get his mojo back and become US champion for the third time. Nikita Koloff (w/Uncle Ivan) defeated Wildfire Tommy Rich in a slobber knocker.Tommy gave it everything he had in this twelve minute battle. He locked in the WILDFIRE SLEEPER, but Ivan made the save. Back and forth it went with Tommy coming back from a huge beating. He could not, however, keep the momentum going and Nikita locked in a Russian Backbreaker. Tommy would not give up, but he finally passed out from the pain and the referee had to call the match. After the match Ivan and Nikita went over to Ross and Solie. Ivan said Wildfire is washed up and done and his nephew Nikita is a world champion in the making. Ivan continued by warning that Nick Bockwinkel talks a good game and has been champion for a long time, but his style is the past and Nikita Koloff is the man of the future.

NWA Pro Wrestlinglive from Baltimore, MD Mike Rotundo* made quick work of Lord Zoltan.Zoltan tried feebly to attack at the bell, but Mike quickly took over and won with a cross body off the second rope in about twenty seconds (deathjump, three move win). Boogie Woogie Man Jimmy Valiant defeated Dirty Frank Dalton.Dalton gave Jimmy all he could handle here. Boogie had to pull out all the stops, twice even, before he could finally lock in the sleeper for the win. Brad Armstrong (w/Jackie Moore) pinned Disco Inferno (w/Rock Riddle and Chyna).A lot of interplay between the respective corner people to start this one. Disco took advantage of the distraction to get the early advantage. Brad came back and finally hit the RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP and went for the pin. Rock tried to distract the ref, but Jackie pulled him off the apron. The ref counted the pin and Ms Moore jumped in the ring with Brad as Chyna helped Riddle to his feet. Before the next match The American Males tried to lead the fans in a "clap-a-long" to their catchy theme new theme song, but the crowd was having none of it and roundly turned on the duo. Rock N Roll Express beat American Males to defend the tag team championship.Another good tag team title defense in this rematch with the Males. Bagwell and Riggs had their moments, but in the end RnR scored with the DOUBLE DROPKICK on Riggs again and got the win. Sgt Slaughter beat Ivan Koloff in a Boot Camp Match.Wild action here as Ivan and Sarge lit into each other all over the ringside area. Many weapons were used but in the end it was the COBRA CLUTCH inside the ring that got Sarge the victory. * It should seem clear to anyone who reads my results that I'm using the Promoter Prime "USA Express" version of Rotundo. However, I replaced the "double dropkick add 1 tag" move on level three offense with a simple "abdominal stretch - 3" to make him more in line with his early days before and then again just after his celebrated but short WWF tag team stint.

World Championship Wrestlingw/ your hosts, Gordon Solie and Jim Ross Jim and Gordon opened the show and talked about the upcoming Starrcade and that the main event would be revealed later in this program. They were then joined by Rock Riddle who said Jacqueline had an impressive win against Lady X last week, but his bodyguard Chyna is about to top it by beating MISTER X to show that she's a threat to any man, woman, or child walkin. He said Chyna and Disco will face Brad and Jackie in a mixed tag team match at Starrcade and both of them will be in jeopardy when Chyna hits the ring. Chyna dominated and defeated the masked Mr X.I can almost see the youtube comments section on this one as Chyna beat up, humiliated, and pinned the masked man inside of two minutes after a brutal power bomb. Jack Brisco spoke with Gordon Solie next. He said he saw what Paul Orndorff did to Brian Blair and how Heenan and he took down Bob Backlund. So he's going to be on guard when he faces Orndorff tonight in the main event because he knows Orndorff is the stepping stone to getting back into the ring with Nick Bockwinkel for the world title. United States champion Iron Sheik beat Keith Steinborn with the CAMEL CLUTCH.
A nice warm up before Starrcade for the US champ. Sheik got the easy win with the dreaded Camel Clutch. After the match Sheik spoke with Gordon and Jim. He said Sheiky is ready, always ready, and at Starrcade he will beat the Rodney Piper and send him back to Scotland or Canada or wherever he belongs because Sheik is the reeeel United States champween. Roddy Piper came out to confront Sheik ahead of the next match. He said he's been patient with Sheik because he knows he's gotten dropped on his head a lot and he's not real bright. But if he keeps poking the bear he's going to get mauled. Sheik and Piper went nose to nose and almost came to blows before Piper's opponent Johnny Mantel took the opportunity to jump him from behind and quick start the next match. Rowdy Roddy Piper pinned Johnny Mantel.Mantel is no slouch and really took it to Piper in the opening minutes of the match. Roddy dug deep and came back to get the pin after a bulldog. Kevin Sullivan was joined by his Dungeon Of Doom (Eric The Red, Ox Baker, and Kharis) as he spoke to Jim Ross. He said Vader's days are numbered and his time is nearly up because at Starrcade he goes face to face with the devil himself. Sullivan said he will beat Vader, but he will show mercy. Because once he's broken the mastadon down, he will build him back up and take him on as his next disciple in the Dungeon Of Doom. He vowed that they would go on to take every major title in the NWA by the end of next year. Kevin Sullivan defeated Ranger Ross.It took everything Sullivan had to overcome the Ranger. Ross hit not one, but two COMBAT KICKS, and Sullivan was lucky to get his foot on the bottom rope to break the pin on the second one. In the end Sullivan took it to the floor, wacked Ross with a 2x4 he found under the ring, and went back inside to get the pin. Bill Apter was live for a special "Hot Seat" interview as he welcomed commissioner Bill Watts. They spoke about Starrcade and Watts said he heard what transpired on Piper's Pit last week and how Heenan was quick to point out that Jack had already had his world title rematch. And that's funny because there is one man who was a fantastic champion who did NOT receive a title rematch, and that gets rectified at Starrcade. Watts said the main event will be world champion Nick Bockwinkel versus Macho Man Randy Savage. The crowd went wild as Macho Man stepped in front of the NWA fans for the first time in a lon time. Randy cut a gem of a promo about soarin with the eagles and slithering with the snakes, but now he's back in the saddle again and ready to ride all the way to the world title once again. Paul Orndorff (w/Bobby Heenan) defeated Jack Brisco after the PILEDRIVER. Orndorff's incredible run continues. Jack gave it all he had, but he may have been distracted by Heenan at ringside. Paul survived the FIGURE FOUR and reached the ropes for the break on two occassions, and finally took advantage of a mistake by Brisco to use the piledriver for the pin.Heenan was livid after the match even though his man won. He said Savage is a maniac who should not be let anywhere near a man with the class of Nick Bockwinkel. Orndorff took over and said it doesn't matter because the Heenan Family is a cut above the rest, and that includes Savage. He went on to say he'd be at Starrcade and he's issuing an open challenge for anyone who thinks he's man enough to step up to Mr Wonderful. Starrcade is coming!world title, main event - Nick Bockwinkel vs Randy Savage loser leaves bunkhouse match - Jimmy Valiant vs Manny Fernandez US title match - Iron Sheik vs Roddy Piper special challenge match - Paul Orndorff vs mixed tag team match - Brad Armstrong and Jacqueline vs Disco Inferno and Chyna Sgt Slaughter vs Nikita Koloff Thunderbolt Patterson vs Ravishing Rick Rude

NWA StarrcadeRavishing Rick Rude defeated Tiger Conway Jr (subbing for Thunderbolt Patterson). Before the bout it was announced that Patterson was unable to appear tonight. Conway gave it his all and got a pin attempt on Rude, but Rick kicked it into high gear and got the win in about four minutes after a top rope sledge and pin. After the match Rick was interviewed by Jim Ross at ringside. Rude said he didn't come to NWA to be a curtain jerker and, as an uncrowned and never truly defeated United States champion, he'll be watching the title matches tonight very closely. He put whoever wins on notice that he's coming for them. Nikita Koloff won by disqualification over Sgt Slaughter.Nikita really took it to Sarge. He used the RUSSIAN SICKLE twice, but could not pin Sarge. Finally Slaughter made his comeback and gave it back to Nikita. The action went to the floor when Sarge grabbed the combat helmet and hit Nikita to get disqualified. Brad Armstrong and Jacqueline beat Disco Inferno and Chyna by disqualification.
the rules of the match stipulated that the men must only be in the ring with the men, and vice versa. Brad beat up Disco early and the action went to the floor where Chyna and Jackie got involved. Disco tagged and Chyna got in with Jackie. Chyna beat her up until Jackie made the comeback and got a near fall with her DDT. Chyna tagged out to Disco, but Rock Riddle ran over and grabbed Brad's leg while Disco got in the ring and gave Jackie a piledriver to draw the DQ. Big Van Vader defeated Kevin Sullivan in a brutal match.
The smaller Sullivan gave no ground to the Mastodon. He nearly got the pin with the DOUBLE FOOT STOMP, but Vader kicked out and came back to get the win with the VADER BOMB. Following the bell One Man Gang and newcomer Missing Link beat down Vader. Sullivan grabbed his spike and slammed it into the head of Vader yet again. He instructed his men to grab Vader and drag him back to the locker room. Bobby Heenan led Paul Orndorff to the ring for the special challenge match. Heenan ran down the fans, the NWA, and anyone stupid enough to get in the ring with Paul. a guy dressed in a turkey costume came to the ring and "put up his dukes" for a fight. Heenan told the clown to get out of the ring, and he did. However, he reached under the ring, grabbed a 2x4 board, and got back into the rin to smash Paul over the head. The turkey took off his mask and revealed himself as HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN as Heenan dragged Paul away and the fans went crazy. Jimmy Valiant beat Manny Fernandez in a loser leaves bunkhouse match. Bloody, brutal, and visceral. They tore into each other and bled buckets. Finally Jimmy got the pin and put the end to this long and bitter feud.
Rowdy Roddy Piper defeated Iron Sheik in a no disqualification match to win the US title. Great match. Sheik took it to Piper from the bell, but Roddy came back in typical fashion and locked in the sleeper for the win.
Macho Man Randy Savage pinned Nick Bockwinkel to win the world heavyweight championship. The marathon run has come to an end. Nick and Randy engaged in a match for the ages. Randy survived the BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER and came back to try the FLYING ELBOW. Bobby put a stop to that, but Nick could not follow up and get the pin. Randy eventually rallied and scored with the FLYING ELBOW for the pin. NOTE ON MY MIXED TAG TEAM MATCHES: The old fashioned style of the men and women not mixin it up being a thing, I have a rule where if a tag is made the opposite sex can use a move on the opponent, but he or she must roll disqualification. HOWEVER, the men add 1 to their DQ and the women subtract 1. This is in line with the old school way where it was seen as horrible if the man, for instance, used a piledriver on a lady; but the fans would go wild if the woman body slammed someone like Cornette.

NWA PRO WRESTLINGUIC Pavillion, Chicago, IL The Spoiler defeated Mark Fleming with THE BICONIC CLAW. Fleming was tough to beat in the opening contest, but Spoiler grounded him with the rope walk splash and then sunk in the claw for the victory.
Eric The Red (w/Ox Baker) beat Boogie Woogie Man Jimmy Valiant. A little disappointing coming off his big win at Starrcade. The injured and bandaged up Valiant entertained the fans and nearly put away Eric, but Ox distracted the ref while Eric grabbed that big bone he brings to the ring and smashed Boogie over the head, opening up the cuts he got in his match against Fernandez. The bloodied Valiant was then easy pickings as Eric used his BACKBREAKER for the pin.
Rick Rude pinned Thunderbolt Patterson after a top rope knee drop. Fantastic action from bell to bell. Patterson started out strong, then Rude took over and tried to wear him down. Patterson made his big comeback, but Rude cut him off and went to the top rope for the pin in about ten minutes.
Sgt Slaughter and Hacksaw Duggan won by disqualification over The Koloffs. Not a very long match, but a hard hitting one. The action went to the floor where Ivan introduced the chain as a weapon on Hacksaw. Sarge came over for the save and was double teamed by the Koloffs as Hacksaw crawled over to his corner to grab the trusty 2x4 board and chase the Russians away. Rowdy Roddy Piper beat Iron Sheik to defend the United States title. A big rematch from Starrcade that was just as good as their two previous encounters. Sheik gave Piper a scare after two kicks from the loaded boot and the CAMEL CLUTCH, but Roddy powered out and broke the hold by running Sheik back first into the corner. Sheik tried to press the offense with a vertical suplex, but Piper blocked and came back with a flurry of offense before locking in the sleeper for the victory.

World Championship Wrestlingw/ Gordon Solie and Jim Ross The show opened and Gordon announced the NEW world champion, Macho Man Randy Savage. Bobby Heenan came out angry. He said the NWA was trying to get him by putting Nick in the ring with Randy Savage on such short notice. But it doesn't matter because Nick is taking a break and he's coming back stronger than ever. In the meantime, Bobby said he is putting together a family of wrestlers like nothing ever seen and it all start tonight when Paul Orndorff take care of Hacksaw Duggan for trying to be cute at Starrcade. The Spoiler beat Keith Steinborn.Keith grabbed an arm wringer on the lockup and followed with a snap mare takedown that caught Spoiler by surprise. Spoiler quickly recovered and used a dropkick to take control. Spoiler went on to get the win with the BIONIC CLAW in about three minutes. Nikita Koloff (w/Uncle Ivan) defeated George South.Nikita looked like an animal here. He tossed South all over the ring from the opening bell, at one point snatching him up and hitting three standing release gut wrench suplexes in a row. Nikita put South away after the RUSSIAN SICKLE to end this one sided beatdown. Ivan and Nikita spoke to Jim and Gordon after the match. Ivan said Nikita is primed and ready and Sgt Slaughter had better do the right thing and step aside before he gets run over by the Russian Nightmare. Nikita said Slaughter is going down and Randy Savage is just holding the world title until Nikita decides to take it. Mike Rotundo pinned Bill White.Mike looked super impressive here, taking down the cagey vet with ease. Mike used his AIRPLANE SPIN and got the pin in under two minutes. Jacqueline came out to talk to Gordon and Jim. She said Brad and her beat Disco and Chyna at Starrcade, but nothing was settled the way it went down. She said she wants Chyna one on one right here and now to see just what she's made of. Rock Riddle came out to answer and said Jackie needs to be careful of what she wishes for, because she's about to get it, and it's just the beginning for the Ninth Wonder Of The World. Chyna (w/Rock Riddle) pinned Jacqueline.Jackie started hammering away at the bell, but once Chyna got hold of her it was all over. Jackie made a brief comeback, but Chyna grounded her and used a power bomb for the pin. Jimmy Valiant joined the broadcast team. He said he finally put the feud with Manny to bed at Starrcade and he's the one left standing. But then Eric The Red and Ox Baker jumped in his face and they want a piece of Boogie next. But this time Jimmy Valiant is bringing someone to watch his back and Ox and Eric are going down. Jimmy Valiant (w/Tommy Rich) beat Eric The Red (w/Ox Baker).Tommy ran interference at ringside and kept Ox from getting involved. Jimmy won a tough battle in roughly six minutes with his BOOGIE WOOGIE ELBOW. Don and Rocky Kernodle came out to provide guest commentary for the next match. Don said the tag team division is heating up and everyone is after the Rock N Roll Express. He added that they're watching American Males real close, becuase they've been in the ring with them before and the tag team titles get one step closer with a win over them. But first, Jim announced, The American Males have demanded we play their "hit music video" before they wrestle. American Males beat The Mulkey Brothers with a DOUBLE DROPKICK on Randy.Bagwell and Riggs just abused the Mulkey brothers en route to an easy win. They hit Randy with the double dropkick, then pulled Bill into the ring and gave him one, too. Bagwell pinned Bill while Riggs covered Randy to get the win. After the match the Males pulled Randy and Bill off the mat and were using them as human puppets to do the over hand clap thing to the tune of their annoying theme song. Don and Rocky Kernodle had enough and hit the ring to beat down the Males and chase them away from the ring.
In Piper's Pit, US champ Roddy Piper was joined by Ravishing Rick Rude. Rude was going off and extolling his own virtues and talking about everything that is owed to him when Roddy interrupted. Roddy said "Rick Rudd" is an idiot if the thinks he's earned anything but a butt kicking at the hands of Roddy Piper. Rude said everyone knows he's the uncrowned US champ and he had the belt stolen, the belt Piper holds right now, and all he needs is one chance to take it back.
