I love seeing Sgt. Slaughter battling other foreign menaces like Nikita and the Cuban Assassins!

I'm terrible at commenting on people's feds, but I love this promotion. I've bookmarked it so I can be better at checking out the action.

The Christmas Card
Atlanta, GA

Dirty Frank Dalton pinned Mark Fleming.
Hard fought opening contest. Fleming locked in his STF, but Dalton reached the ropes. It went back and forth and nearly to the time limit when Dalton scored with the ATOMIC DROP and got the pin.

Hustler Rip Rogers defeated Mike Jackson.
An impressive debut for the one and only Hustler. Jackson didn't even mount much offense as Rip picked him apart and got the pin inside of three minutes.

Ivan and Nikita Koloff defeated The Fantastics when Nikita pinned Tommy Rogers.
The fans were excited to see the Fantastics make a surprise return to the territory, but the excitement was short lived as the Koloffs got the win. There were some bright spots, but in the end Nikita got the clean pinfall win after the RUSSIAN SICKLE.

Wildfire Tommy Rich beat Kevin Sullivan.
Referee James Beard was called into duty to handle this affair and let the action go wild. They brawled and fought all over the place and in the end Rich got the win with the THESZ PRESS in an exciting match.

Mr Wonderful Paul Orndorff (w/Bobby Heenan) pinned Brad Armstrong.
The fans were hoping for a close contest, but they did not get it. Paul was all over Armstrong from the opening bell and put him away inside of a few minutes with the JUMPING PILEDRIVER.

Rock N Roll Express beat Don and Rocky Kernodle to defend the world tag team championship.
A great title defense for the champs. Don and Rocky had them in trouble a few times, but Ricky made the hot tag to Robert and the Express got the win when Robert put away Rocky with the Gibson Leglock.

Ravishing Rick Rude (w/Bobby Heenan) beat Rowdy Roddy Piper to become the three time United States champion.
What an amazing main event. Roddy had him beat with the SLEEPER, but Bobby distracted the referee. Rude bounced back and hit the RUDE AWAKENING to get the pin in about twelve minutes and regain the United States title yet again.

World Championship Wrestling
w/Jim Ross and Gordon Solie

Gordon and Jim started the show talking about the big event from Christmas day. Bobby Heenan and Rick Rude came out to gloat. Heenan said they did just what they said they'd do, win back the United States title when given a fair shot. Gordon mentioned Heenan's interference that led directly to the result, but Rude got mad and said he won it fair and square and Piper can cry about it like the skirt wearing wimp he is. Heenan said the next order of business is getting hold of Savage and getting back the world title he stole from the Heenan Family. Bobby said Nick was a great champion, in fact the greatest, but time marches on and it's time for the world title to become WONDERFUL in the hands of Paul Orndorff.

Cuban Assassin defeated George South.
A nice television debut for the Cuban. South gave him some trouble in the opening seconds, but Sierra took control and got the pin after FIDEL'S BACKBREAKER.

Rock Riddle came out to talk with Jim and Gordon. He said Bobby Heenan talks about Wonderful, but he has greatness in the likes of television champion Disco Inferno and the intergender champion Chyna. Gordon once again pointed out that neither of these championships are legitimate, but Riddle shut him down and said Disco is getting ready to defend and then it's an open challenge for Chyna.

Disco Inferno beat Brad Armstrong with help from Chyna.
Nice back and forth match, just a little short. Chyna tripped up Brad, who fell forward and into the LAST DANCE for the pin.

Following the match Chyna entered the ring as Disco put the boots to Brad. Riddle directed traffic as Disco picked up Brad so Chyna could deliver a power bomb onto a steel chair. They continued to beat on Brad until security ran in and dragged Disco and Chyna away. 

That left Riddle in the ring as Jacqueline jumped him from behind. She grabbed the mic and said the fans were promised an intergender match and they'll get it. She told the ref to call for the bell and attacked Riddle. 

Jacqueline beat Rock Riddle after fighting off Chyna.
Riddle was caught totally off guard, not even dressed to wrestle. Jackie peppered him with kicks and went for the DDT but Chyna fought her way away from security and jumped on the apron to try to interfere. Jackie caught her and drop kicked her off the apron, then hit th TORNADO DDT for the pin. 

In a pretape segment, Kevin Sullivan was in a cave somewhere with steam or smoke billowing around him. He said everyone is concerned with the whereabouts of Big Van Vader, but soon all will be revealed. He said the Dungeon Of Doom has added Missing Link to their ranks and grows stronger through subtraction after purging the weak links. Now there are no weak links and Tommy Rich, Jimmy Valiant, and everyone else in the NWA will suffer a terrible fate at the hands of his army. 

Wahoo McDaniel defeated Johnny Mantell.
Mantell tested him, but Wahoo made an impressive first splash in the territory and got the pin after a FALLING CHOP.

Wahoo spoke with Gordon after the match. He said he's here to take care of business. He just took out one problem in Mantell and next it's that loud mouth Bull Ramos. Ramos is running around calling himself a chief, but that title is earned and not self given. Wahoo promised to show him there's only one Chief in pro wrestling and his name is McDaniel. 

Randy Savage and Roddy Piper won by disqualification over Paul Orndorff and Rick Rude.
The old "barn burner" with the expected finish. Randy fought off the piledriver at one point and hit Paul with one of his own. The battle raged for twelve minutes until Paul hit Randy in the back with a steel chair on the floor to get disqualified. He tried to continue the assault, but Piper ran over with a chair of his own and chased the Heenan Family away.

After the melee Randy was in a rage. He grabbed the mic from Jim Ross and said Orndorff tried to take him out, but there are no cheap shots on the way to the world title. It comes through him, face to face, man to man, and Mr Wonderful isn't man enough to take it! Roddy Piper ended by saying you do not throw rocks at a man carrying a machine gun and Roddy Piper and Randy Savage are the biggest guns around.

Ranger Ross pinned Rip Rogers with a top rope cross bodyblock.
This was a fair opening contest. Rogers had his shining moments, but Ross earned the pin inside of five minutes.

The American Males defeated Sam Houston and Scott Casey.
Casey is back after a long absence, doing some fill-in duty on the house show circuit. Sam and Scott looked good together and nearly got the win when Casey used the BULLDOG on Riggs. Bawell made the save and the Males picked up the pin on Casey after a double dropkick.

The Spoiler won by disqualification over Thunderbolt Patterson.
Another good match in the series between these two. In the end Patterson retaliated for Spoiler's underhanded tactics and was taking the beating to him on the floor. The referee tried to pull him away, but Patterson shoved the ref aside to continue his assault and was disqualified.

One Man Gang pinned Jimmy Valiant with the 747 SPLASH.
Sullivan's leadership has seemingly done wonders for OMG, as he's more focused than ever and hits the splash with more accuracy. That one small change was the deciding factor here (as I switch from the black and white card to color).

Sgt Slaughter defeated Nikita Koloff.
Sarge bounced back to avenge his previous loss at the hands of the Russian Nightmare. A very strong main event ended when Sarge got the advantage during a brawl on the outside and came back in to lock in the COBRA CLUTCH for the victory.

World Championship Wrestling
w/Jim Ross and Gordon Solie

Jim and Gordon opened the show talking about the heated finish to last week's show. Gordon said nothing is settled between world champion Randy Savage and Bobby Heenan and members of his Heenan Family and we'll be hearing from the champ later on the show. But now, we go to the ring.

Tiger Conway Jr pinned Rip Rogers.
Fine opening contest that saw Conway win in about four minutes after a dropkick and pin.

Bobby Heenan and Harley Race came out to talk to Gordon. Bobby said Randy Savage is on borrowed time, but right now it's time for "the king" to take the floor. Heenan said Harley is about to tune up this chump Mike Rotundo and then it's on to bigger things. Harley said he bounced Hacksaw Duggan's head off the mat so many times last time they got in the ring that he'll be lucky if he can remember his own name, much less make it back here to wrestle again. He said we've seen the last of Hacksaw Duggan.....which was premature because HACKSAW ran out from the back and attacked Harley. He clocked him with the 2x4 and tossed him into the ring where opponent Mike Rotundo was waiting. 

Mike Rotundo upset Harley Race.
After Hacksaw tossed Harley into the ring Mike wasted no time grabbing him up for the AIRPLANE SPIN and the quick pin. Thank you Gordon Solie pre-match interview card.

Bobby Heenan was raging into the microphone at commentary position as Harley tried to collect himself off the mat. Rotundo celebrated with Hacksaw by the entrance way as we cut to commercial. 

Back from the break Jim and Gordon talked with "Chief" Bull Ramos. Ramos said he's not impressed with Wahoo McDaniel and they've been crisscrossing the country but have never met in one place until now. But now it's time to prove who the real Chief is and the discussion begins and ends with Bull Ramos. Next week he will prove it without a shadow of a doubt. 

Missing Link (w/Sullivan) pinned Jimmy Valiant after interference.
Wild brawl of a match. Jimmy seemed to have it won when Sullivan made the distraction. Link came up from behind and hit Valiant from behind to set up the DIVING HEAD BUTT.

After the match Sullivan turned to the entrance way and started calling for "THE MASTADON" to "RISE AND CLAIM YOUR DESTINY." A crazed looking BIG VAN VADER lumbered down the aisle. He paused and looked at Sullivan, then picked up Valiant and hit a brutal release power bomb. Sullivan cackled in delight until Vader grabbed Sullivan by the neck and gave him a choke slam. Link tried to defend Sullivan but got a power bomb for his efforts. Vader walked away without saying a word. 


Jim and Gordon were besides themselves speculating on what just happened and what it means for everyone in the National Wrestling Alliance. 

Ranger Ross and Cuban Assassin wrestled to a ten minute draw.  
Really solid, competitive match. Neither guy could get the pin despite numerous attempts by both. The TV time limit expired and nothing was settled.

In Piper's Pit Roddy began by talking about Rick Rude and the Heenan Family and how they're on borrowed time. He then introduced his guest Sgt Slaughter. Sarge said he's back on track and he knows Roddy is looking to get back the US title, but Sarge can think of no better man to represent the USA than himself. They were interrupted by Ivan Koloff. Koloff said Slaughter is a good representation of USA because he is the past and nephew Nikita is the future. He said every champion in the NWA is afraid to get in the ring with Nikita but soon it will be unavoidable. He challenged Slaughter to face Nikita in the ring. Sarge said Ivan knows Slaughter has a match with the Spoiler later tonight, but after that he'd be glad to get in the ring with Nikita next week and end the myth of Russian athletic superiority once and for all.

Chief Wahoo McDaniel spoke to Gordon Solie. He said he heard Ramos come out and run his mouth earlier in the program, talking about meeting him here next week. Wahoo said they are both here right now so he doesn't see why it has to wait. He got in the ring and Ramos, to his credit, came out to meet the challenge.

Chief Wahoo McDaniel pinned Bull Ramos in a hard hitting classic.
Chops and punches and more chops and punches traded between the two sturdy brawlers. Welts on the chest of Ramos, bruises on the face of Wahoo by the end of this one. Wahoo survived the APACHE ELBOW DROP and came back to use a FALLING CHOP for the pin. Controversy ensued after the match as Ramos pointed out that his right foot was uner the bottom rope, which should have broken the pin. 

Terry Gordy and Steve Williams demolished The Mulkey Brothers. 
Gordy and Williams wasted no time. Doc hit the OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE on Bill but did not go for the pin. He tagged in Gordy and set him up for the BAMM BAMM SLAM and pin.

After the match Jim Ross welcomed Doc and Gordy to the territory. Williams said it's no secret why they are here and it's because the Rock N Roll Express are running around claiming to be the world tag team champions but they are ripe for the taking. Gordy simply requested Ricky and Robert to shine those belts up before they step in the ring with Doc and Gordy, because he wants em to look purty for their new owners. 

Sgt Slaughter defeated The Spoiler with the COBRA CLUTCH.
Sarge is finally on a roll here as he picked up a huge win over the very hard to beat Spoiler. 

The show closed with the world champion Macho Man Randy Savage. Savage said Orndorff is a low down snake, but the Macho Man has slithered with the snakes and soared with the eagles and been in all points in between. He said this weekend he's going to Baltimore to face ONe Man Gang in a world title match, but he'll have one eye open watching out for Orndorff the entire time. He said when the championship committee makes the match Orndorff will know that's one wish he made that would have been better off for him if it never came true.

Mike Jackson defeated Bob Cook on a countout.
Well, they started off the show with a sign of things to come. Neither one could do anything to put the other away until Jackson drop kicked Cook and sent him flying between the ropes. Bob could not meet the ten count and Jackson got the win.

The Fantastics won by countout over The American Males.
Riggs and Bagwell dominated the early minutes against Bobby Fulton until Bobby made the hot tag. Tommy Rogers cleaned house and sent Riggs scurrying from the ring. Bagwell walked over to check on his partner and Tommy dove through the ropes onto both of them. Riggs and Bagwell picked themselves up off the floor and decided to walk away from the match.

Jacqueline won by disqualification over Chyna.
Chyna tossed Jackie all over the ring, but could not keep her down. Jacqueline got her big comeback and the near fall with the TORNADO DDT. The action went to the floor where Chyna introduced a chair and power bombed Jackie onto said steel folding device to get disqualified.

Hacksaw Duggan and Mike Rotundo won by disqualification over Harley Race and Paul Orndorff.
Nice back and forth match until the inevitable finish. Race and Duggan were brawling on the floor and the Orndorff grabbed a chair and attacked. Rotundo retrieved Duggan's 2x4 and it was a standoff between the teams until security and referees ushered Race and Orndorff away.

Wildfire Tommy Rich PINNED Johnny Mantell with a cross body block.
YAY, A pinfall finish. Mantell was tough once again, but Wildfire had enough to get the win in a good cooldown match before the main event. 

Macho Man Randy Savage won by disqualification over One Man Gang in a world title match.
Gang took it to the champ, but Randy was up for the challenge. Randy hit the axe handle from the top rope to the floor  when MR WONDERFUL PAUL ORNDORFF ran out with that persky steel chair he has made his trademark lately. He took a swing at the champ, but Randy saw him out of the corner of his eye and ducked back into the ring. Paul went to get in the ring to attack, but Macho Man cut him off and Paul dropped the chair. They two brawled furiously until the locker room cleared out to separate them.

Orndorff has been going on a warpath to get to Savage, so that was by design, and The Fantastics have a ready made feud now as I reintroduce them. But when Mike Jackson and Bob Cook can't even get a clean decision the show has gone off the rails.
