Hey guys. I hope that everyone that attended the con today had a good time. It was great to see so many of you on the zoom.
While it is fresh in everyone's memories, I wanted to hear any feedback on what you liked and what you would like to see more of in future virtual events.
As discussed today the plan is to have the next virtual event in April. It will be shorter than today, probably 2 hours of tournaments and 2 hours of panels. We will also have a big virtual component again for GalactiCon in addition to a possible smaller in person event.
Looking forward to making these some fun experiences for years to come.

Had fun listening. Couldn't participate because I was in a car driving half the time. I think everything ran smooth, and was pleasantly surprised by the lack of dropout or lost calls, but I had to install zoom just for this and have no experience with online conferencing. So maybe it's just better than it's reputation. Hopefully next time I can come out of incognito and dive in. I saw there were a few long time/old time fans lurking in there who need to get drawn out. 😉

I am not an expert on online events, but I thought this one ran smoothly (aside from some timing issues, but show me a convention that doesn't have those). The announcements and teasers were amazing, and I'm glad to have been there for them.
Tournaments aren't really my thing, so I didn't participate in any of those. (That's not a Filsinger Games issue--I don't care for any kind of gaming tournament, which keeps me away from things like Magic: the Gathering at Gen Con, which is probably good for my wallet.) Given that, I suppose I would like more non-tournament events, but I'm not sure what those would be. The great podcasts we have going already represent a lot of what those events might look like.
So, all things considered, I think it was a great success. Kudos and thank you's to the entire team for putting it together, and especially to Todd, who helped me with a game issue late Friday night even though I told him he could wait until after the virtual con. Already looking forward to April's event, and depending on where it falls in the month vs. the set releases for Spring, it might be fun to have a "Sealed Envelope Challenge." Challenge the Promoters who ordered each of the sets to wait until the con to open them up, so we can all enjoy that experience together. Schedule an hour or so for it, and everyone can give their reactions to the sets they ordered. Of course, that would assume the convention was early April, and the expansions arrived late March, because I'm not (entirely) cruel...

It was fun. Honestly, even though I help run the tournaments, I wouldn't mind a convention where there were no tournaments as though I enjoy running and playing them, I actually have as much if not more fun with the chatting and Q and A's.

Thank you for coordinating and running this event. It was nice to pop in and hear from everyone even though I was just listening in. I thought it ran fine and I was glad the meetings were up and allowed for dropping in and out as needed. I have had some issues with meetings with waiting rooms where I would be in the meeting and have an issue but then no one would monitor the meeting to let me back in, haha.
I am more interested in the panels as well so either a more focused split of tournaments and then panels would be helpful. I had a tough time getting back on for the panels I wanted to listen to so missed some of the information. If the panels were more clustered it would be easier to schedule time to listen.

I had a blast. It was the first time I used zoom and it popped right up no problem. I was wandering if i can get the Nacho card online.

Loved it. I couldn’t stay online all the time but got on for some of the panels and Tom’s hour long chat. Apart from the end legends and indies as it was getting seriously late in the UK and I couldn’t keep my little eyes open.
It was my first ever use of zoom and it worked great. Superbly organised. Like some of the others I’d say tournaments not really my thing but the discussions were great. Fantastic to put faces to names. Some of you guys are almost mini celebs in my mind!
One thing I learned is how lousy my first gen AirPods are. They kept running out of battery. Only lasting 40-45 mins at a time. I’ll be better prepared with hard wired headphones next time!
Definitely returning for the next one. Long may they continue

I had a great time and look forward to the next one. I enjoyed the panels as well as the opportunity to use break-out rooms to discuss/ask questions. While I didn’t sign up for the tournaments, I had a blast watching them and appreciated the chance to play in the impromptu one.
A big thanks to all that made it happen!

I had a lot of fun with the panels.
I think it would be really cool if you could get a Legend or an Indy name signed to pop in for a panel on a future one. I would even be willing to say pay $15 instead of $7 for the non-tournament ticket if I got a signed 8x10 or something to help entice some wrestlers to do it.

It was a great time, everything ran smoothly. The triva contest was really fun. Only thing I'd change for another day long event like that is to expand how long the q&a panels last, 30 minutes didn't seem long enough for each game. Next time maybe plan for 45-60 minutes each.
