We offer people the option. Pretty much most seemed to want me to run the matches. I'd be more than happy to let others roll. I’m definitely one of those people who utilizes it and appreciates it most. You do a great job. One interesting observation I had was the use of the term “rolling up” to level 1 or 2 offense when a (c) was roller. Forever I also would say “I’m going to roll up” to level 1 or 2 offense but I was corrected (forget by who) years ago at GCON “Well, you’re really rolling down to level 2 or down to level 1, not up” so I started using “rolling down” when using the (c) option. Best I can tell almost everybody says “roll up”. Does anyone say roll down? I think I’ll probably start saying “roll up” again. From a viewers perspective that feels right.

If it makes you feel better, technically you're not wrong as your going up the physical card.
I dont know if I ever verbalized but I might say something I'll take two or take one as opposed to roll up or down.

Thank you for coordinating and running this event. It was nice to pop in and hear from everyone even though I was just listening in. I thought it ran fine and I was glad the meetings were up and allowed for dropping in and out as needed. I have had some issues with meetings with waiting rooms where I would be in the meeting and have an issue but then no one would monitor the meeting to let me back in, haha. I am more interested in the panels as well so either a more focused split of tournaments and then panels would be helpful. I had a tough time getting back on for the panels I wanted to listen to so missed some of the information. If the panels were more clustered it would be easier to schedule time to listen. We did actually cluster the panels this time from 430 to 7. Only outlier was the discussion with Tom. We may do something in the future to feature Tom later in the day though. I'd expect for the next virtual get together we have the block of game playing and the block of panels separately. That's true. I was speaking more to Tom being on early vs the rest of the discussions. Tricky getting everyone on the same schedule on a Saturday with time differences so not a big deal. Was glad to catch the small chunks I did, and look forward to the next one. Never figured I would be able to attend a con so very cool Zoom allows for this level of interaction (even though I just listened...its a bit nutty at my house on Saturday so better to mute, haha). Thanks again for coordinating!

I always considered it "rolling up" as "up" on the physical card, either way makes sense though. "Roll back" maybe?

I think I just got used to people saying it at Galacticon which is the only time I used the term anyways until we started these conventions. (On the rare times I play with my other half I usually just say roll on level 2 or roll on level 1)

Also, and I believe this is a limitation of Zoom, it would be great if we could pop in and out of breakout rooms ourselves. But I don't think that feature exists in Zoom yet. I do quite a few conferences and meetings virtually. I just found out about one called "Remo", that allows you to move to and from virtual "tables" like you're sitting in a large meeting room. If Zoom doesn't have that feature, to move yourself around, maybe that's an option. One disclaimer, I have no idea how much Remo costs, because it's being used by another professional association that I'm speaking to. I'm not on the planning committee.

I'm very thankful for the virtual rollers, but it's good that people can have the option to roll themselves if they want to. I learn more about how to use COTGOnline every time I watch Troy, TK, or Cman rolling for me!

I think the goal to get more promoters "rolling the dice" is something to shoot for for GalactiCon. I would think the best way to do this is to have some "informal" sessions on Zoom and pullup COTGOnline and play. At G-Con I rolled my on dice for the first match, but it wasn't smooth and we went from there with having one person roll all the matches. I am definitely up for getting together...
On the consistent language...yep, we need to come up with a lexicon and publish it here as "Official Filsinger Games Speak to be used at conventions."
And Finally, I would definitely pay a few more dollar to do a "virtual meet and greet" with the guest with an option to get something signed. My preference would be to have an option to get a Filsinger Games card singed by said guest.
