Card was solid top to bottom, was surprised Tragos didn't fair better, but that's how the dice roll sometimes. Looking forward to using Hillbilly Jim in my fed he seems to do better than I imagined. Race and Muldoon classic, Blanchard is very nice garnish....if you get a chance BILL checkout the happenings in my GNW,your input is always welcome. Love me some MLW!!!!

William Muldoon & Val Venis, what a team! That might be one of the strangest pairings I've ever seen but hey it worked, and Muldoon got one over on Race. I loved that British Bulldogs-Windham/Fernandez angle plus the Bulldogs getting that tag win. Great action as always, my friend.

Thanks for checking out the action and glad to see you are enjoying it. Tragos has been a mid card competitor at best for me and has been on the bubble of the roster for some time. Hillbilly Jim has had some success in Maple Leaf Wrestling but that is more to do with how he has been booked as opposed to his skill level.

Strange pairing indeed. I wanted to keep Muldoon v. Race simmering until the next Canadian Heavyweight Title defense (February 5th episode of Ringside!) when the two should square off next for the gold (unless the dice have other plans). So I decided to combine their program with the Blanchard - Venis program and this was the result. I have been toying with the idea of turning Windham for a while (I was going to have him turn on Magnum T.A. if Allen won his feud with Tully Blanchard) and his current partner can wear both white and black hats so I am going to see where it goes.

I believe Barry Windham can go either way, good or bad. I use him as a babyface. But yes I'd like to see him team up with Tully, that would be interesting to see where that goes too.

I use Windham as a face but his card suggests heel.

Although Windham & Blanchard are a natural pairing, I kinda prefer your choice of teaming him up with the Raging Bull... They've certainly made formidable enemies straight outta the gate... Looking forward to more!

Card 44 - Maple Leaf Wrestling – Ringside – Guelph Memorial Gardens, Guelph, Ontario (2022.01.22) Canadian Open Tag Team Champions Road Warriors and Paul Ellering are interviewed by Gordon Solie to start the episode off and they promise continued dominance in the tag team division along with a pile of broken bodies.Canadian Open Tag Team Champions Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) w/Paul Ellering v. Chris Candido & “Mr. Electricity” Steve Regal – Non Title MatchReferee: Morgan Dollar Dollar sends the Paul Ellering to the back and the Champions are not happy. Regal and Candido seem amused and the Warriors make them pay. Animal tosses Regal into the ring post battering ram style and Mr. Electricity is counted out of the ring and then stretchered out of ringside! Winner: Road Warriors by count-out. DUD Jake “The Milkman” Milliman v. Fritz Von GoeringReferee: Morgan Dollar This one is over in about five moves and ends with a BACKBREAKER from Von Goering. Winner: Fritz Von Goering. DUD Never for a loss of words, Captain Lou Albano leads the Valiant Brothers out to be interviewed by Gordon Solie. The Valiant Brothers boast about being the next tag team champions before heading to the ring for our next match.Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) v. Valiant Brothers (“Handsome” Jimmy Valiant & “Luscious” Johnny Valiant) w/Captain Lou AlbanoReferee: Dick Woehrle This was a great battle from start to finish. The Fantastics brought their best and dominated the match with their double teaming. A PRESS SLAM/SPLASH looked to have ended it when Albano could not cause a distraction but Jimmy Valiant got a shoulder up at the last second. With the fans roaring, the Fantastics kept the pressure on. Things broke down when Johnny Valiant jumped in for a pin save. The action went to the floor and Albano tried to smash Fulton with a chair but Rogers stopped him. Fulton grabbed the chair and decked “Luscious” Johnny with the weapon. Woehrle called for the bell and Albano collected his team and retreated to the back leaving the fans and the Fantastics frustrated in the ring. Winners: Valiant Brothers by disqualification *** Jackie Fargo v. Masked SuperstarReferee: Morgan Dollar Dollar has strict instructions for the competitors before the bell. This was an intense battle with both men trading blows early. A roaring forearm nearly knocks Superstar’s head off and gets a near fall. Fargo cannot put Superstar away with an ATOMIC DROP before the action goes outside. Superstar reverses a whip and Fargo eats the ring post shoulder first. The fans are livid but Dollar lets it go. Fargo draws on the fans support and gets the best of another brawl on the floor and then puts Superstar down for the win with a second ATOMIC DROP. Winner: Jackie Fargo. ** ½ Trillium Title Tournament Trish Stratus (6) v. Rockin Robin (14)Referee: James Beard Handshake starts the action. They trade holds before Stratus lands forearms. Punches and chops come back from Robin who then catches Stratus with BULLDOG for a huge near fall. Robin comes off the top with a smash and then hits her finisher three more times to finally put Stratus down for the victory. Winner: Rockin Robin ** ½ Gordon Solie congratulates Rockin Robin for her victory and Robin thanks the fans for their support and promises the fans that she will fight with everything she has to reach the tournament final and claim the Trillium Title. Singapore Cane Match – Sandman v. Jim LondosReferee: James Beard It does not look like Londos will last long after Sandman comes off the top with a Singapore cane blast to the skull for an early near fall followed by another SINGAPORE CANE shot for a second two count. Londos is in the fight of his life and responds using science to work the arm of his opponent before going to work with his own Singapore cane as the fans cheered each blow. A BOSTON CRAB nearly breaks Sandman and then a fireman’s carry slam onto a chair rocks the fans and allows Londos to execute an AIRPLANE SPIN for the win. An awesome victory for Londos to close out the card... Relying on his skills as a mat technician to beat Sandman in his own signature match... I think our friend, stu, would really appreciate this one... Brilliant!
