Totally forgot the draft was tonight. That is how my day has been. I see we took Ron Halland. That is a bit of a shock. His name was NOT one tied to us. Looking at the last ESPN mock he was set to go 13 to the Kings. Seems he was a top guy before his injury that ended his G-League season. A young guy with a lot of upside it seems. It kind of feels like the type of pick the Lions would make. Going with the guy they wanted regardless of where the experts had him going. Hopefully he can be healthy by the start of the season and reach his potential with us.

Zach Edey ended up going 9th to Memphis. I hope we do not regret passing on him.

Well we have a head coach again. We signed J.B. Bickerstaff who was with Cleveland last season. So, once again we signed a guy who had success and was then cut. Hopefully he works out better than our last one. Can't do much worse at least.

They have Cade all wrapped up now too. Hopefully Detroit is turning it around.

They brought Harris back. Hopefully his veteran presence will help the young players develop faster.

The Pistons resigned Simone Fontecchio. That is a good deal for us as he is a really good 3-point shooter which we need badly. Plus, it was 2 years for only $16M. These days that seems like a steal lol.
EDIT: They also signed another 3-point shooter in Malik Beasley to a one-year deal. We are starting to build a decent roster.

Angel Reese currently has three straight games of at least 20 rebounds in the WBNA. When she did it back to back she became the first WNBA player to do that. I am posting this because it is impressive but also because the last NBA player to have at least three straight games of at least 20 rebounds was Ben Wallace. Before him it was Wilt Chamberlin. So, she is in great company.

James Wiseman played a career high 63 games with us last year. In the off season he signed a deal with the Pacers. Last night in the season opener for both teams he tore his Achilles. Coincidence? Bad timing? Well, it is almost Halloween. Ooooooo spooky.  |

Pistons won their first game of the season. Granted it was against the shorthanded Philadelphia 76ers, but a win is a win. I am a bit concerned with Jalen Duren's slow start to the season. I expected him to have a breakout season. At the least be a rebounding machine but he has been up and down.

We already have 4 wins. Just 10 wins from tying last year's win total. We might do it before Groundhogs Day. As it is, we right now are sitting in the 8th spot in the East meaning we would be in the play-in for the playoffs.
