Galaxian Wrestling Federation - 2089 - Trojan Asteroid, Asteroid Belt 57 - Great Horse Coliseum
01) Neptunian Space-Croppers vs. Beauty & The Beast (with Sweet Thing) was a DDQ
* The GWF debut at the Great Horse Coliseum in the Asteroid Belt opened up with grudge tag team action as the popular Neptunian Space-Croppers, Renegade & Beast Rider, faced Beauty & The Beast, Vanity & The Creeper, who were led to the ring by Sweet Thing. Renegade’s obsession with Sweet Thing was evident but for the good of the team he focused on the matter at hand, getting a win over their rivals. This was a great battle that saw Sweet Thing provide a distraction when Renegade had The Creeper locked in the Spinecracker, his camel clutch submission hold. Moments later, it was Beast-Rider connecting with Bulldog Ride on The Creeper but Vanity made the save. That set off a wild four-way brawl that ended the match in a double disqualification.
02) Bounty Hunter (Orion, with Reynard B. Guile) defeated Earthquake (Ceres)
* With his tag team partner Massif injured, Earthquake was itching for a fight and he challenged the undefeated Bounty Hunter to face him. Bounty Hunter, through his manager Reynard B. Guile, accepted the match. Guile looked pleased during the ring introductions but that quickly went away as Earthquake took control early. Earthquake did a great job of dominating with his size and strength forcing Bounty Hunter to rethink his strategy. It clicked for him later and, after back-to-back near falls, he hit a Guile assisted Ambush! on Earthquake to score the pin.
03) Invincible Krakan (CTA-102) defeated Galactic Punisher (Cetus)
* Galactic Punisher, a new enforcer of good in the FDF, had a tough draw facing Invincible Krakan, leader of Society of Death and a former GWF Heavyweight Champion. Punisher has shown that he does not back down from a challenge but his overall inexperience in a GWF ring may have cost him here. Krakan worked a masterful match, including scoring a succession of near falls at one point. He also busted Galactic Punisher open and, in the end, picked up a big win as he nailed him with the Krakan Skullcrusher for the pin.
04) Bomb Squad (with Omega) defeated The Headsmen (with Darkos)
* When FDF leader Omega found out that Darkos would be accompanying The Headsmen, Executioner & Death Knight, to ringside he decided to manage Bomb Squad, Commander Sam & Adam Blast. Omega has largely been a manager of the FDF behind the scenes but he felt that Bomb Squad might need a backup due to the rash of injuries that the Masked Assassins faction have been inflicting on GWF fan favorites. Bomb Squad looked fully prepared for this battle as they did an excellent job of cutting off the ring, isolating Executioner from Death Knight. Darkos was livid as his men failed to mount an effective counter-attack. His interference failed late and that led to Sam hitting Sam’s Atomic Drop on Executioner for the pin.
Omega being at ringside proved to be a pivotal decision as the match played out and, afterward, Omega would unleash a verbal bomb on several fronts. The crowd cheered the popular Bomb Squad unit as Omega grabbed the mic. Noting that the GWF was returning to New York, USA, for Earth 58, he challenged the reigning GWF Tag Team Champions the Gladiators of Aethra to put their belts on the line against Bomb Squad. He concluded by saying that Bomb Squad would do what their rivals Alien Corps failed to do, win the GWF Tag Team Championship!
05) Society of Death defeated AniMen of Andromeda
* The AniMen of Andromeda, Incredible Badger & Battering Ram, faced the Society of Death, Mutant & Ghengis Khan, in tag team action. Both teams were hoping to build momentum for a future shot at the GWF Tag Team Championship and it showed in this highly competitive bout. It could have gone either way but in the end it was Khan catching Battering Ram with a Deadly Throat Chop to score the pin. The Society of Death scored a huge win and, with the big victory by their leader Invincible Krakan earlier, it proved to be a successful night for the villainous faction.
06) Lord Nexus (Titan, Saturn, with Trainer Jim) defeated Spike (Aethra)
* Big time action saw Lord Nexus of the Fighting Titans, accompanied by Trainer Jim, face former GWF Heavyweight Champion Spike representing The Gladiators. This was a hard-fought bout that saw Spike lose focus several times as he was nearly disqualified for his actions outside the ring. He attempted to set up for the Super Destroyer but Lord Nexus was able to avoid it. That proved to be pivotal as Nexus waited for the right time to strike and caught Spike with the Titan Drop for a snake eyes pin.
Lord Nexus and Trainer Jim barely had time to celebrate the victory as the Society of Death led by Invincible Krakan hit the ring. The crowd urged Spike to get involved but he smiled and simply walked off as a three-on-two attack commenced. Trainer Jim was quickly dispatched as the Society of Death homed in on the fallen Lord Nexus. They unleashed a vicious attack ending with Krakan delivering the Falling Face Slam on a chair. Lord Nexus was left unconscious and had to be carried out of the ring on the holo stretcher.
07) Star Warrior (Cetus) defeated Exo-King (Altair, with Royal Overlord) by DQ
* The popular Star Warrior, a former GWF Heavyweight Champion, faced Exo-King of the Royal Court in semi-final action. Royal Overlord accompanied Exo-King to ringside for this one, knowing the importance of a match with Star Warrior. It was a solid battle between the two men, one which saw Royal Overlord provide a distraction at a key point. Star Warrior knew he had to dial up if he was going to overcome that interference and he did just that. He looked to have it won when he hit the Nova Launch on Exo-King but this time Killer Queen ran down and interfered. The referee threw the match out giving Star Warrior the victory via disqualification.
08) Wolf & Proteus defeated Thantos & Killer Queen
* The vile Killer Queen remained in the ring, seemingly proud of his outside interference in the previous match. He was joined by the “Gamemaster” Thantos, head of the Galaxian Villains, for a big tag team match. Their opponents were the reigning GWF Heavyweight Champion Wolf and his longtime ally Proteus of the Greek Gods. Wolf selected Proteus for this match knowing that he was looking for a fight after his tag team partner Actagon was injured by the Masked Assassins. That set the stage for what promised to be a wild main event.
Thantos, on the eve of his rematch for the GWF Heavyweight Title, was focused early on trapping Wolf in the Masterlock forcing Proteus to break it up. Proteus would tag in and go to town on Killer Queen hoping to secure a win. He twice executed the Overhead Toss but each time the pin was broken up by Thantos. That forced the villains into a bad spot as the referee would be more alert to their match saving tactics. That set up a big opening for Wolf who stared down Thantos on the ring apron before catching a stunned Killer Queen with a Face Rake and rolling him up for the pin. Thantos was livid over the loss but pointed to the title belt gesturing that it would be his. Wolf and Proteus celebrated their victory while a battered Killer Queen trailed Thantos back to the locker room.
Injury Report:
* Lord Nexus of the Fighting Titans was diagnosed with a concussion injury as a result of the attack by the Society of Death led by Invincible Krakan. Trainer Jim was visibly upset with the attack on Lord Nexus and has vowed revenge for the Fighting Titans. He issued a direct open challenge to the Society of Death to face him, Billy Jo Boxer, and Pulsar in a six-man tag team match at Earth 58. When that message got back to Invincible Krakan, he laughed it off but accepted on one condition – that they meet in the opening match because his men won’t be able to wait to finish off the Titans. It was fine with Trainer Jim who will be participating in his first official match in the GWF.

Nexus going down with an injury presents Trainer Jim with an opportunity to share the in-ring spotlight... I always love when a heel demands that their match take place at the top of the card because they don't want to 'waste their time sticking around' for the entire event... Classic!
Wolf picks up some great momentum heading into his title defense against The Gamemaster... OWOOOOOOO!

OWOOOOOOO! I like the way you think. It was almost like Krakan was blowing the Fighting Titans off and just wanted to get in and get it over with. Krakan has performed really well for me, including winning the GWF Heavyweight Title, so I have been enjoying rolling out his matches. Wolf vs. Thantos is going to be a classic, at least I hope it will be. So much on the line for Thantos who has yet to hold the title that was taken from him after he broke the Galaxian Code in 2087.

After too long of a layoff, here is my return to Champions of the Galaxy with a big card featuring two major title matches. 2089 rolls on in Project 68: The GWF...
Galaxian Wrestling Federation - 2089 - New York, USA, Earth 58 - Niagara Tower of Lights 01) Society of Death defeated Trainer Jim, Billy Jo Boxer & Pulsar
* The GWF in-ring debut of Trainer Jim for the Fighting Titans saw him team with Billy Jo Boxer & Pulsar to take on their rivals in Society of Death – Invincible Krakan, Mutant & Ghengis Khan. This one had an extra special bitterness added to it as the Titans were looking to avenge the injury of their team leader, Lord Nexus. This was an all-out brawl between the two teams and one that could have gone either way. SOD took it in the end, though, when Mutant nailed Boxer with a Face Mangler to score the pin.
02) Mad Jester (Unknown, with Royal Overlord) defeated Reptillo (Andromeda 13)
* Reptillo, representing the AniMen of Andromeda, faced the crazed Mad Jester of the Royal Court. Accompanied by the Royal Overlord, Jester found himself on the defensive early and often as Reptillo poured in the offense. Reptillo almost won it with a counter roll-up out of the corner before Jester mounted a counter-attack. Using his brutal tactics, Jester took the lead in the match before nailing Reptillo with the controversial Jagged Edge for a snake eyes pin.
03) Norse Gods (with Solaris) defeated Blood Brothers
* The Norse Gods, Man-Mountain & Lightning, were accompanied by Solaris as they hit the ring to take on the Blood Brothers, Pit Viper & Splatter, representing the Masked Assassins. Even though Darkos was not at ringside, Solaris had to be wary of a potential plan orchestrated by the villainous manager. After a great struggle, that plan showed up in the form of Death Knight who attempted to interfere as Lightning caught Pit Viper in the Norse Sleeper Grip. Solaris quickly alerted Man-Mountain who tackled both Splatter and Death Knight as Lightning secured the hold giving the Norse Gods the victory via submission.
04) Alien Corps defeated AniMen of Andromeda
* More tag team action followed as the popular AniMen of Andromeda, Incredible Badger & Battering Ram, took on the villainous duo of Alien Corps, Comrade Terror & Tongsoon of Cygnus. This was a great battle that ended in a flurry of action. The turning point came when the AniMen delivered the Andromeda Drop on Comrade Terror but Tongsoon broke up the pin. Alien Corps then unleashed a vicious double-team on Battering Ram, narrowly avoiding a disqualification. As Tongsoon took Badger to the outside, Comrade Terror leveled Battering Ram with the Atomic Warhead for the pin.
05) Bounty Hunter (Orion, with Reynard B. Guile) defeated Beast-Rider (Nereid, Neptune)
* Beast-Rider signed for one-on-one action against the thus far undefeated Bounty Hunter, who was accompanied by his manager Reynard B. Guile. Beast-Rider had control early nailing Bounty Hunter with a barrage of flyting head butts. It took Bounty Hunter by surprise but once he regained his footing he began to dominate. The turning point came when Bounty Hunter went for a deathjump (ch) and shoved Beast-Rider to the mat as he attempted to counter. Beast-Rider had a bad landing and, moments later, Bounty Hunter nailed him with a Karate Kick to score the pin.
06) Star Warrior, Mesmer & Galactic Punisher (with Omega) defeated Bishop Hell, Exo-King & Killer Queen (with Royal Overlord)
* It was the Federation Defense Fighters against the Royal Court in six-man tag team action. GWF founder Omega, and head of the FDF, accompanied Star Warrior, Mesmer & Galactic Punisher to ringside to counter Royal Overlord, leading his team of Bishop Hell, Exo-King & Killer Queen. The action was fast and furious in this match which saw both teams come close to victory. Omega’s presence went a long way in keeping Royal Overlord in check and that was a big boost to the FDF threesome. The finish of a hellacious battle saw the others fighting at ringside as Star Warrior blasted Exo-King with Combo Punches and covered him for the pin.
07) GWF Tag Team Titles: Bomb Squad defeated Gladiators of Aethra© by DQ
* The Bomb Squad, Commander Sam & Adam Blast, looked to strike gold as they challenged the 2nd GWF Tag Team Champions the Gladiators of Aethra, Brute & Massacre. The first time these two teams met for the championship, back at Sagitta 37, it was the Gladiators prevailing. The Bomb Squad were hoping for a different result and to put an end to the incredible title reign of the Gladiators. They did a great job of neutralizing Brute, including scoring near falls with Sam’s Atomic Drop and the Megablast. Just when it looked like the Bomb Squad might prevail, the Gladiators took the easy way out. That came when Brute took it outside and was disqualified snake eyes style as he tossed the referee aside while attempting to use a chair on Sam.
The crowd jeered the decision which resulted in a successful version fourteen title defense for the Gladiators. An angry Sam grabbed the mic and called the Gladiators out for their tactics. He also called on the Galaxian Commission to step in and give the Bomb Squad their rightful rematch. It was later learned that a championship rematch would indeed take place under No DQ rules at Deimos 60 as part of a big night to crown the first GWF InterPlanetary champion.
08) GWF Heavyweight Title: Thantos (Maffei II) defeated Wolf (Andromeda 13) to win the title
* The main event was for all the marbles as the 7th GWF Heavyweight Champion Wolf, a two-time title holder, faced the man that betrayed the Galaxian Code resulting in his being stripped of the title in 2087, the “Gamemaster” Thantos. It has been a bitter nearly two-year quest by the villainous Thantos to ascend the throne that he once held and was erased by the betrayal of the code. Countless plots, attacks and other villainous actions by Thantos preoccupied him even in his chances at the championship. This time he was bound and determined to win the gold, though he would have to go through the savage Wolf to procure it.
The defending champion was on top of his game, leaving Thantos frustrated early and often. Thantos eventually found his opening but Wolf was up to the task of matching him hold for hold and strike for strike. A big shoulder tackle (ch) by Wolf late led to a near fall that rattled Thantos. After taking an atomic knee drop, Thantos bailed out of the ring where Wolf followed. That is when disaster struck for the champion. Wolf was distracted by a fracas near the entrance way as Bounty Hunter and Reynard B. Guile dragged an unwilling Amazonia out with them. That distraction was all it took as Thantos rammed a chair into the back of Wolf’s knee out of view of the referee.
Thantos, knowing this was his chance, fired Wolf back into the ring and applied the Masterlock. Wolf refused to give in as he clawed towards the ropes still distracted by Amazonia being held against her will. The AniMen of Andromeda rushed out and saved Amazonia but it was too late for Wolf who, unable to escape, was forced to concede the match. It was a crushing defeat for the proud Wolf as Thantos was declared the winner by submission and the new GWF Heavyweight Champion. Wolf hobbled to the back seeking some justice as Thantos grabbed the title belt and raised it in victory, his long quest finally over as he became the new kingpin of the GWF.

Galaxian Wrestling Federation - 2089 - Mercury 59 - Fire Island
01) Tongsoon of Cygnus (Cygnus) defeated Reptillo (Andromeda 13)
* Reptillo went up against the dangerous Tongsoon of Cygnus in the opening contest. Tongsoon is known to hate Earth but he doesn’t have much love for Andromeda 13 either. Reptillo was in for a tough fight but he held his own, even kicking out after Warrior Whip. Following a double clothesline out of the corner, Tongsoon retrieved a Foreign Object and blasted Reptillo with it to score a controversial pinfall victory.
02) Billy Jo Boxer (Titan, Saturn) defeated Ghengis Khan (Mongolia, Earth) by Count Out
* The classic Boxer vs. Karate rivalry between Billy Jo Boxer and Ghengis Khan, a part of the bigger Fighting Titans vs. Society of Death feud, took center stage next. Trainer Jim was not at ringside with Boxer as he was back on Titan tending to the injured Lord Nexus. Khan was ferocious in this one and nearly scored the pin with his deadly Twin Thrust. Boxer recovered and, during a battle outside, he knocked Khan silly with a left hook to score a count out victory.
03) Spike (Aethra) defeated Proteus (Greece, Earth)
* Claiming to be using this as a “warmup” for the InterPlanetary Title Tournament, former GWF Heavyweight Champion Spike faced Proteus of the Greek Gods. Proteus accepted the open challenge as he was awaiting the imminent return of his Greek Gods tag team partner Actagon from injury. It was an acceptance he would regret as Spike ambushed him and won it in two moves – an overhead slam and the Super Destroyer – for an impressive pinfall victory.
04) Neptunian Space-Croppers defeated Beauty & The Beast (with Sweet Thing)
* A bitter tag team rivalry was featured next as the Neptunian Space-Croppers, Renegade & Beast Rider, faced Beauty & The Beast, Vanity & The Creeper, who were accompanied by Sweet Thing. Renegade somehow focused on something other than Sweet Thing during this one and that proved to be a great strategy. The Space-Croppers dominated and did a great job neutralizing Vanity. That led to Renegade trapping Vanity in the Spinecracker for a submission victory.
The Space-Croppers knocked The Creeper out of the ring post-match and inflicted more punishment on Vanity. They even threatened to toss him to Beast-Rider’s wild beast at ringside but stopped when Sweet Thing pleaded with them. It was a frightening situation for Vanity who afterward demanded a match with Beast-Rider, which he eagerly accepted and that one-on-one match will take place at Deimos 61.
05) Exo-King (Altair) defeated Man-Mountain (Polaris)
* A battle of the behemoths saw Man-Mountain take on Exo-King. A combined 919-lbs. collided and Man-Mountain, of the Norse Gods, was getting the better of it. He continually frustrated Exo-King but ultimately that cost him. After a big offensive barrage, Man-Mountain executed an airplane spin but Exo-King countered out and delivered a Flying Body Crusher for the pin.
06) Galactic Punisher (Cetus) defeated Comrade Terror (Cygnus)
* The popular Galactic Punisher of the FDF faced a formidable challenge in Comrade Terror, the inaugural GWF Heavyweight Champion. Comrade Terror dominated the early action and hit a flying skullcrusher for a two count. It was a late reversal that changed the fortunes of Galactic Punisher and, after hitting a Galactic Cannon for a near fall, he nailed Comrade Terror with Life Sentence to score the pin.
07) Powerhouse defeated The Headsmen
* The popular Massif, put out of action by the Masked Assassins, returned from injury teaming with Earthquake to face The Headsmen, Executioner & Death Knight. Powerhouse looked like they didn’t miss a beat and if Darkos had any plan masterminded behind-the-scenes it didn’t work out in this match. The Headsmen went at it alone and Massif, especially, had revenge on his mind. Powerhouse dominated most of the way and, after a few near falls, it was Earthquake crushing Death Knight with Cliffhanger for the pin.
Powerhouse released a statement on Galaxian Twitter afterward and Massif said that while he is still competing in the InterPlanetary Title Tournament it will not affect the plans of Powerhouse going forward. Massif vowed to win the new title, continue going after the Masked Assassins, and eventually claim GWF Tag Team Championship gold.
08) AniMen of Andromeda defeated The Gamehunters
* After the heinous actions of Bounty Hunter and his manager Reynard B. Guile at Earth 58, where an attempt to kidnap Amazonia contributed to Wolf’s loss of the GWF Heavyweight Title to Thantos, the Galaxian Commission took quick action. They ordered The Gamehunters to compete in tag team action against Wolf’s associates the AniMen of Andromeda, Incredible Badger & Battering Ram. Guile protested being forced to compete in the ring but a lifetime suspension was threatened and the weaselly manager couldn’t back out.
The AniMen were pumped to get this chance to avenge Wolf. Bounty Hunter, who is undefeated in singles action, did his best to prevent them from getting at Guile. In fact, Guile only tagged in after big moves hit by Bounty Hunter resulting in some frustration for the AniMen. That all changed, however, when Guile tagged in looking to attack Badger but he was distracted by Amazonia who had come down to ringside. Guile then sent Badger into the ropes but that was a big mistake as he came off with a Counter Sunset Flip to score the pin. The AniMen tossed Bounty Hunter outside afterward as Amazonia went after Guile but the frightened “weasel” managed to escape running to the back.

Galaxian Wrestling Federation - 2089 - Deimos 60 - Intergalactic Arena - GWF InterPlanetary Title Tournament
Quarter-Final Round:
01) Spike (Aethra) defeated Mesmer (Dimension X)
* Mesmer, Master of the Occult, went up against Spike in the opening match of the tournament. This was all Mesmer early and he caught Spike with two consecutive deathjump attacks for near falls. Spike looked to be in serious trouble but he stayed in the fight. After an eye blinder by Mesmer, Spike bailed out of the ring and turned it around. Mesmer went out after him but that was a big mistake as Spike gave him a Gladiator Piledriver on top of a table. The referee waved it off and Spike took full advantage of that back inside delivering the Super Destroyer for the pin.
02) Bishop Hell (Parts Unknown) defeated Pulsar (Titan, Saturn)
* The popular Pulsar of the Fighting Titans had a tough draw facing Bishop Hell of the Royal Court. The thought of taking Hellfire is enough to discourage anyone from facing Bishop Hell but Pulsar went right at him. So much for being branded a “wimp” by his ex-tag team partner Pit Viper. This was a competitive bout that had a controversial finish as Bishop Hell used a Face Rake on Pulsar and rolled him up for the pin. The win by Bishop Hell set up a highly anticipated battle of the villains in the semi-final round as he will face Spike of The Gladiators of Aethra.
03) Star Warrior (Cetus) defeated Mad Jester (Unknown)
* Former GWF Heavyweight Champion Star Warrior faced the crazed Mad Jester of the Royal Court in first round action. Jester is normally accompanied by his manager, Royal Overlord, but the Galaxian Commission ordered that no managers should be allowed at ringside in order to protect the integrity of the tournament. That may have been to the disadvantage of Star Warrior who faced Jester unleashed and the lunatic had a star making performance. He kept Star Warrior on the defensive and nearly pinned him with a foreign object attack. Star Warrior bounced back late and, after both men collided out of the corner, he blasted Jester with a Karate Chop and fell on top of him for the pin.
04) Massif (Ceres) defeated Invincible Krakan (CTA-102)
* A battle of former GWF Heavyweight Champions saw the popular Massif clash with Invincible Krakan, leader of Society of Death. The key moments in this match came via mistimed deathjumps by Krakan. The first took out the referee and led to Massif delivering a wicked offensive, including hitting the Volcanic Drop. Krakan came back and delivered the Falling Face Slam for a two count. He later went for another deathjump but this time Massif moved out of the way and followed with the Massif Power Slam to score the pin. Massif advanced to the semi-final round where he will face his good friend Star Warrior in a battle of GWF fan favorites.
Non-Tournament Matches:
05) Norse Gods (with Solaris) vs. The Headsmen was a No-Contest
* This scheduled tag team grudge match pitting the Norse Gods, Man-Mountain & Lightning, against The Headsmen, Executioner & Death Knight, never officially got underway. Darkos, leader of the Masked Assassins, clearly orchestrated an attack on the Norse Gods before the bell as Blood Brothers, Pit Viper & Splatter, ran in for a four-on-two attack. That led to Solaris, head of the Supreme Gods, calling for the Greek Gods, Actagon & Proteus, to assist. Now it was all even and after a wild brawl the Supreme Gods stood tall with The Headsmen and the Blood Brothers bailing out. That was until the Galaxian Commission ordered Pit Viper & Splatter back to the ring for the next match…
06) Blood Brothers defeated Greek Gods
* The return of Actagon from injury saw him fired up and ready to lead the Greek Gods into battle against the Blood Brothers. He exploded on offense early and nearly put Pit Viper away with the Grecian Sleeper Grip. Proteus then caught Pit Viper with the Overhead Toss but The Headsmen interfered. That distraction allowed the Blood Brothers to turn the tide and Splatter nailed Proteus with Hatchet Job for a snake eyes pin.
Chaos erupted post-match as the Masked Assassins tied Actagon in the ropes and gang attacked Proteus. The Norse Gods headed down but were fended off as at least a two-on-one attack continued on Proteus. Order was finally restored when GWF officials swarmed the ringside area and forced the Masked Assassins to retreat. Actagon was finally let free and along with the Norse Gods tended to Proteus who was clearly injured. The holo stretcher was called for and Proteus was taken for medical observation.
Semi-Final Round:
07) Bishop Hell (Parts Unknown) defeated Spike (Aethra)
* Two of the more feared villains in the GWF squared off with a chance to go to the finals. Former GWF Heavyweight Champion Spike, representing the Gladiators of Aethra, faced the dangerous Bishop Hell of the Royal Court. This was an intense battle with the crowd equally as intense in their split support of the two. Heavy blows were traded in and out of the ring, almost resulting in a disqualification decision a few times.
Bishop Hell survived both the Decapitator and the Gladiator Piledriver, while somehow avoiding the Super Destroyer. Perhaps sensing defeat, Bishop Hell unleashed Hellfire and scored the pin. As Spike recovered from the burning attack, he went after Bishop Hell but he escaped from the ring taking with him a spot in the tournament final.
08) Star Warrior (Cetus) defeated Massif (Ceres)
* Two longtime friends squared off as Star Warrior took on Massif. The crowd was split in their support of the two very popular stars who shook hands during the introductions. Control switched early and often with both men displaying a great ability to counter. That led to some interesting situations where neither wrestler could gain a distinct advantage. It finally broke down a little when Massif missed a corner charge and fell out of the ring. Massif lured Star Warrior out and turned the tight using some roughhousing tactics. Star Warrior is not one to back down, though, and rallied back against his larger foe.
In the end, Star Warrior delivered a flying dropkick (ch) and mounted the top rope delivering the Nova Launch. The end result was a snake eyes pinfall victory for Star Warrior and a spot in the tournament finals against his rival Bishop Hell. Massif took the defeat in stride and shook hands with Star Warrior, wishing him luck in his quest for the title.
Non-Tournament Match:
09) GWF Tag Team Titles - No DQ Match: Gladiators of Aethra© defeated Bomb Squad to retain the titles
* This No DQ title rematch was demanded by the Bomb Squad, Commander Sam & Adam Blast, against the 2nd GWF Tag Team Champions the Gladiators of Aethra, Brute & Massacre. That came after the Gladiators saved their titles with a disqualification loss to the Bomb Squad at Earth 58. Many thought that this could be the best chance to take the titles from the Gladiators but the only problem was that they could also benefit from the No DQ rules. This was a total war as the two teams battled in and out of the ring. There were several scares for the champions but they overcame them. The end result was another victory for the Gladiators when Massacre hit the Massacre Slam on Commander Sam for the pin.
It was a successful version fifteen title defense for the Gladiators who show no signs of slowing down. Brute and Massacre were joined by Spike, still bitter from his tournament elimination, for a post-match victory celebration. Spike grabbed the mic and angrily declared himself ready for a fight. He said that while his time tonight is done he is declaring war on the entire GWF and that soon the Gladiators will have a major announcement that will leave everyone shaking in their boots. He slammed the mic down and joined Brute and Massacre in a further celebration before leaving the ring.
Final Round:
10) Star Warrior defeated Bishop Hell to win the title
* The highly anticipated tournament final saw Star Warrior, representing the FDF, facing Bishop Hell, representing the Royal Court. Star Warrior went in holding a 1-0 record against Bishop Hell, winning their only singles match to date which was held at Deimos 43. Bishop Hell obviously had that loss on his mind and was looking to erase it while at the same time winning his first championship in the GWF. You could cut the tension with a knife as the two men circled each other before locking up. The crowd was ready and so were Star Warrior and Bishop Hell.
Star Warrior thwarted an aggressive start by Bishop Hell and staggered him with a well versed attack. That included hitting the Nova Launch with Bishop Hell barely kicking out before the three count. Bishop Hell needed a breather and he got it when he avoided a corner charge causing Star Warrior to fall out of the ring. Bishop Hell began a comeback and scored a two count with the Bishop Blast. His goal, obviously, was to deliver Hellfire but Star Warrior deftly avoided that dangerous attack. Star Warrior ramped it up in the closing stretch and delivered a second consecutive Cross Body Block on Bishop Hell to score the pin.
History was made as Star Warrior was crowned the first GWF InterPlanetary Champion and also became the first man to hold both that and the GWF Heavyweight Championship. Any thought of a post-match attack by Bishop Hell was put to the side as Omega and the rest of the FDF hit the ring for a victory celebration. The crowd cheered the big victory as Omega hugged his son and strapped the title belt around his waist.
Injury Report:
* The Masked Assassins struck again, this time injuring Proteus of the Greek Gods on the same night Actagon had just returned from injury. Proteus suffered an injury to his right shoulder and will miss some ring time. Additionally, the Galaxian Commission took quick action and ordered a suspension of one GWF card for Darkos and the Masked Assassins based on yet another attack leading to injury.

Galaxian Wrestling Federation - 2089 - Deimos 61 - Intergalactic Arena
* The Galaxian Commission addressed the crowd making it known that Darkos and his Masked Assassins (Pit Viper, Splatter, Executioner & Death Knight), collectively known as the Masked Assassins, would not be appearing due to being suspended for injuring Proteus of the Greek Gods at Deimos 60. Refunds were offered to those upset by the decision to suspend Darkos and his men for this event, but few took that offer. In revising the card, the Galaxian Commission said that the main event between Wolf and Bounty Hunter, with Amazonia at ringside to counter Reynard B. Guile, was now going to be contested under Titan Death Match rules. The crowd cheered that announcement as the bell rang signaling the start of the show…
01) The Creeper (Nereid, Neptune) defeated Reptillo (Andromeda 13)
* The AniMen were represented in the opener as Reptillo faced The Creeper, the beastly bodyguard of Vanity. This was a slog of a match but one with some real highlights as each man twice survived their opponents finisher. They showed some real grit battling to the end which saw The Creeper crush Reptillo with a Cropper Slam for the pin.
02) Alien Corps defeated Powerhouse
* The two top ranked teams in the GWF standings squared off as Powerhouse, Massif & Earthquake, took on Alien Corps, Comrade Terror & Tongsoon of Cygnus. Obviously a victory here would gain the attention of the championship committee so both teams pulled out all the stops hoping to win. All four big men even delivered deathjump attacks which was very uncharacteristic. Massif survived the Battle Cry from Tongsoon and that looked to give Powerhouse momentum but it didn’t last. Alien Corps scored a hard fought win when Tongsoon deliver a Flying Cross Body Block deathjump-style on Earthquake for the pin. This was the first loss for Powerhouse as a team and a huge win for Alien Corps.
03) Galactic Punisher (Cetus) defeated Mad Jester (Unknown, with Royal Overlord)
* An intense battle saw Galactic Punisher, a new weapon of the FDF, collide with the maniacal Mad Jester, who was led to the ring by the Royal Overlord. The Royal Court was looking for a big win here and Jester came very close, busting the Punisher open and hitting Jagged Edge late but somehow he kicked out of the pin. Galactic Punisher showed tremendous resiliency there and, despite a distraction by Royal Overlord, he delivered a flurry of offence on Jester before delivering a Swift Kick for the pin.
04) Vanity (Nereid, Neptune, with Sweet Thing) defeated Beast-Rider (Nereid, Neptune)
* After what happened to him at Mercury 59, when Vanity was nearly tossed into the awaiting teeth of Beast-Rider’s galactic zoo companion, the arrogant one insisted on a singles match. Beast-Rider was happy to accept and said that maybe his beast would feast on both Vanity and Sweet Thing! Renegade, Beast-Rider’s tag team partner in the Neptunian Space-Croppers, was not pleased when he heard that due to his infatuation with Sweet Thing and refused to accompany him to ringside. The beautiful valet, however, bravely accompanied Vanity to ringside for this grudge match.
Beast-Rider was pretty dominant in this bout, forcing Vanity to retreat when he had the chance. He also nearly collided with the beast on an Irish whip outside but managed to just stop his tracks in time and scurry back into the ring. Sweet Thing feared for the life of her man but in the end it would be Vanity snatching victory from the jaws of defeat, so to speak. Vanity managed a late counter and stunned Beast-Rider before delivering the Pulverizer to score the pin.
05) Spike (Aethra) defeated Pulsar (Titan, Saturn)
* Two men who lost to Bishop Hell in the recent GWF InterPlanetary Title Tournament squared off as Pulsar of the Fighting Titans faced Spike, a feared member of the Gladiators of Aethra. This was all Spike. Period. He didn’t let Pulsar get a move in and impressively dominated before hitting the Decapitator for the pin.
06) Bishop Hell, Exo-King & Killer Queen (with Royal Overlord) defeated Star Warrior & Bomb Squad (with Omega)
* Newly crowned GEF InterPlanetary Champion Star Warrior joined the Bomb Squad, Commander Sam & Adam Blast, for this battle of the FDF against the Royal Court. Omega was at ringside for the FDF while his managerial rival Royal Overlord was in the corner of Bishop Hell and the Royal Family, Exo-King & Killer Queen. This was a quick but exciting battle that ended in controversial fashion as Bishop Hell pinned Commander Sam with Hellfire.
Challenges were thrown down post-match and at Deimos 62 and it will be Omega joining his FDF team to take on Royal Overlord and the Royal Court in explosive eight-man tag team action.
07) Society of Death defeated Titan Power (with Trainer Jim)
* A lot was on the line in this semi-final battle as the winning team would challenge the Gladiators of Aethra, Massacre & Brute, for the GWF Tag Team Titles at Deimos 62. Lord Nexus was making his return from injuries suffered at the hands of Society of Death and was determined to reunite with Billy Jo Boxer to gain revenge. Fighting Titans manager Trainer Jim led Titan Power into battle against Mutant & Ghengis Khan of Society of Death for this all-important bout.
Both teams were at their best for this battle, although Lord Nexus may have been at a disadvantage dure to his injury recovery time. The Society of Death got the heat on Nexus for extended stretches, leaving Boxer pleading for a tag and Trainer Jim worried about his good friend. Nexus managed to battle back and nearly took it when he hit the Titan Drop on Mutant. He followed up with a much needed tag and it was off to the races from here. A number of near falls followed in what turned into a thrilling battle. This could have gone either way but in the end a failed distraction by Trainer Jim saw Khan nail Boxer with Twin Thrust to score the pin.
A disappointing defeat for Titan Power as their Society of Death rivals earned the tag team title opportunity. It will be the first chance for Mutant and Khan to win the championship but unseating The Gladiators is a tall order as the two have dominated holding the belts since 2087. Invincible Krakan joined his men for a post-match celebration and warned The Gladiators that the Society of Death will relieve them of the titles at Deimos 62.
08) Titan Death Match: Wolf (Andromeda 13, with Amazonia) defeated Bounty Hunter (Orion, with Reynard B. Guile)
* The ultimate battle, a Titan Death Match, was the main event as Wolf took on his arch-rival, the undefeated Bounty Hunter. Normally the rules for this match don’t allow managers or seconds at ringside but the Galaxian Commission permitted it so that Amazonia could counter Reynard B. Guile, a man who has attempted to kidnap her in the past. It was a bold move by the commission but Amazonia demanded the chance to get revenge on Guile. That would come but not after and intense and bloody battle.
This was a war with both men battling in and out of the ring, even to the outskirts of the massive Intergalactic Arena which, when sold out, seats a crowd of 203,438 fans who come from across the galaxy. Bounty Hunter ran Wolf into a vehicle in the parking lot area at one point. Guile did his best to avoid Amazonia knowing that he could certainly come out on the wrong end of a physical confrontation. Weapons were very present, specifically chairs, which Wolf used with reckless abandonment. He got the Savage Face Claw on but a Guile distraction helped save Bounty Hunter.
Guile tried to play a big role late when Bounty Hunter went for Ambush! but Amazonia countered it. She clobbered Guile with her shield knocking him out! The move failed and Bounty Hunter was now left without his manager for the rest of the match. He fought on, though, attempting to keep his unbeaten record but in the end Wolf proved to be too much and, after a bloody Face Rake, he executed a roll-up to score the pin. Bounty Hunter finally tasted defeat but one can be rest assured that this rivalry between him and Wolf is far from over.
