That win by Omega & Star Warrior really had that epic feel to it. The interesting part will see how The Gladiators rebound from taking their first loss. Thanks for commenting and following along my friend.

Galaxian Wrestling Federation - 2087 - Deimos - Card #8
1) Renegade (Nereid, Neptune) defeated Red Talon (Andromeda 13)
* The ferocious Renegade like others has taken exception to Red Talon claiming to represent the AniMen, one of the more revered armies of fighters in the Galaxy. His thirst for some vengeance nearly cost him, though, as Red Talon got control late. Red Talon looked poised to win but then missed a corner charge allowing Renegade to execute a Counter Roll-Up for the pin. It was a quick and sudden finish that pleased Renegade and the fans.
2) Duke of Destruction (Altair) defeated Omega (Cetus)
* The legendary Omega, coming off of a big tag team win at Deimos 7, looked to continue that success against Duke of Destruction. The arrogant Duke, who feels that he should be running The Evil Ones instead of Exo-King, looked really good in this one. Omega may have been still feeling the pain of a match against the Gladiators of Aethra and the Duke took full advantage of that. After Omega had escaped the hold earlier, the Duke locked on the Grip of Doom and scored a big submission victory.
Duke grabbed the mic afterward and said that his win over Omega, the founder of the GWF, should not only lock him into the GWF Heavyweight title tournament but also serve as a message to Exo-King, the “so-called” leader of The Evil Ones. He dared Exo-King to follow his lead against Star Warrior later on saying that he beat the father, Omega, so now Exo-King has to “prove himself” by beating the son.
3) Society of Death (Mutant & Ghengis Khan) vs. Killer Queen & Vanity was a DDQ
* Every tag team match heading into the upcoming GWF tag team title tournament is important in terms of seeding and that was evident in this battle of villains as Mutant & Ghengis Khan, representing the Society of Death, took on Killer Queen & Vanity. Both teams wanted this one bad as evident by Vanity hitting his Pulverizer on Mutant for a big near fall early in the match. Killer Queen got Checkmate on Mutant but Khan broke it up. The match built to a wild finish as Khan hit Twin Thrust on Vanity for what could have been a pin but Killer Queen broke it up setting off a four-way brawl. The end result was a double disqualification as the referee was unable to restore order.
4) Wolf (Andromeda 13) defeated Death Knight (Altair)
* The raging Wolf has been nearly unstoppable in 2087 but his opponent, Death Knight, was looking to put an end to that. Built for destruction, Death Knight is a potent threat but in this match his severe lack of speed cost him. Wolf made a quick counter on a cross body block and went on a strong offensive run. After battering Death Knight outside, Wolf fired him back in and locked on the Savage Face Claw scoring a submission victory.
5) Star Warrior (Cetus) defeated Exo-King (Altair)
* With the specter of Duke of Destruction’s earlier challenge hanging over him, Exo-King attempted to solidify his leadership of The Evil Ones as he took on the popular Star Warrior. He did a great job early including trapping Star Warrior in the Death Vise for a submission chance. Star Warrior was fortunate to get a rope break there and began fighting back with some great offense. He wound up hitting the Nova Launch but Killer Queen, an ally of Exo-King broke up the pin with a distraction.
Star Warrior then took out Killer Queen with a karate chop and went back up top hitting a second Nova Launch on Exo-King for the pin. The Duke of Destruction was no doubt happy wherever he was watching from in the arena knowing that his attempt to take over The Evil Ones may have become more strengthened.
6) Massif (Ceres) defeated Invincible Kraken (CTA-102)
* Two more men looking to claim a spot in the GWF Heavyweight title tournament squared off in a titanic battle as Massif of the Federation Defense Fighters faced Invincible Kraken of the Society of Death. This was a match of heavy strikes and power based offense that left both men the worse for wear. In the end it would be Massif coming out on top after catching Kraken with the Massif Power Slam for the pin.
7) Gladiators of Aethra (Brute & Massacre) defeated The Greek Gods (Actagon & Proteus)
* This battle for the number one seed in the GWF tag team title tournament saw The Greek Gods (Actagon & Proteus) take on their rivals the Gladiators of Aethra, Brute & Massacre. Both teams entered with identical 3-1-1 records so there was a lot to fight for. The Greek Gods went on a dominant run in this one, neutralizing both Brute and Massacre at separate points. Things were getting frustrating for the Gladiators, particularly coming off of their loss to Omega & Star Warrior at Deimos 7. Both men would hit the Gladiator Piledriver late as they homed in on Proteus. The Greek Gods were able to get a tag but the Gladiators were ready and it was Brute nailing Actagon with the Decapitator to score the pin.
8) Thantos, Comrade Terror & Executioner defeated Flying Titans (Lord Nexus, Pit Viper & Pulsar)
* Grudge six-man tag team action in the main event saw the Flying Titans of Lord Nexus, Pit Viper & Pulsar face the Galaxian Villains team of Thantos, Comrade Terror & Executioner. The Titans were out for revenge, particularly due to Thantos having put Nexus out of action briefly with the Masterlock. Unfortunately for the Titans, Thantos has gotten the better of them at seemingly every turn. This match would prove to be no exception as after a hard fought battle it was Thantos trapping Pit Viper in the aforementioned Masterlock. Nexus and Pulsar attempted a save but were fended off by Terror and Executioner. That led to Pit Viper being forced to concede and the Galaxian Villains picked up a submission victory over the Flying Titans.

For an event with no titles on the line, this was a very pivotal card... Thantos and his henchmen assert their dominance over the Titans... The Duke gets brazen after defeating the legendary Omeg, making his move against the King for leadership of the Evil Ones... The Gladiators rebound from losing their first match with a brutal victory over the Greeks... And the Ultimate Savage remains undefeated! OWOOOOOOO!

Galaxian Wrestling Federation - 2087 - Deimos - Card #9* The Galaxian Commission addressed the crowd prior to the show to make two major announcements, revealing the seedings and pairings for both the GWF Heavyweight title tournament at Deimos 10 and the GWF tag team title tournament at Deimos 12. GWF Heavyweight title tournament:
Wolf (#1) vs. Invincible Kraken (#8) Star Warrior (#3) vs. Exo-King (#6) Comrade Terror (#4) vs. Massif (#5) Thantos (#2) vs. Duke of Destruction (#7)
GWF tag team title tournament:
Gladiators of Aethra (#1) vs. Executioner & Death Knight (#8) Killer Queen & Vanity (#3) vs. Neptunian Space-Croppers (#6) Society of Death (#4) vs. Flying Titans (#5) The Greek Gods (#2) vs. Commander Sam & Omega (#7) 1) Pit Viper (Titan, Saturn) defeated Ghengis Khan (Mongolia, Earth)* It’s always a war when the Flying Titans and Society of Death go at it whether in singles, tag team or six-man tag team action. Pit Viper of the Flying Titans looked the better here against Society of Death member Ghengis Khan. He used a second Venom Blast of the match to take out the tough Khan and score a pinfall victory. 2) Renegade (Nereid, Neptune) defeated Killer Queen (Altair) by Count Out
* There is no love lost between Renegade and Killer Queen as shown by the intensity in this battle. Killer Queen put up a solid offensive midway through, including applying Checkmate for a submission chance, but then missed a deathjump (ch) attack. Renegade scored a quick near fall and went on an aggressive attack taking it outside the ring. After taking a Cropper Slam on the floor, Killer Queen retreated to the back dropping a count out decision to Renegade. 3) Omega (Cetus) defeated Death Knight (Altair)* Omega of Cetus, the founder of the GWF, took on his arch-rival Death Knight who was basically created to destroy him. Death Knight was dominant in this match rocking Omega with moves like Death Ride. It was a late counter by Omega that led to the Cosmic War Dance, a series of lightning fast knee lifts, and a pinfall victory. 4) Beast-Rider (Nereid, Neptune) defeated Vanity (Nereid, Neptune)* After their respective tag team partners Renegade and Killer Queen battled it out, Beast-Rider and Vanity went at it in a hard fought bout. Vanity’s betrayal of his Neptunian brothers to join Killer Queen and the Galaxian Villains has forged a fierce rivalry in the GWF. This was a brutal battle which included Beast-Rider surviving the Pulverizer from Vanity. With his female accomplice urging him on, Vanity hoped to win it but Beast-Rider was relentless late and he hit the Beast Knee Shuffle to score the pin. 5) Comrade Terror (Cygnus) defeated Lord Nexus (Titan, Saturn)* Lord Nexus of the Flying Titans was left on the outside looking in when the seedings were announced for the GWF Heavyweight title tournament. Nexus has had some setbacks of late, especially when tangling with Thantos, so he requested this match with Thantos’ right hand man Comrade Terror. Seeded fourth in the title tournament, the feared Terror was looking to send notice to everyone as he took on Nexus. This was an exciting bout that could have gone either way but unfortunately for Nexus it was Terror hitting the feared Atomic Warhead piledriver for the pin. 6) Actagon (Greece, Earth) defeated Brute (Aethra)* Singles action between The Greek Gods and the Gladiators of Aethra saw Actagon take on Brute. Actagon was hoping to avenge his defeat at Deimos 8 when Brute pinned him to win a tag team bout. This one was fought as much outside the ring as it was inside. Brute managed to survive the Grecian Sleeper Grip several times but was also busted open when Actagon ran him into the ring post. Massacre interfered on behalf of Brute at one point helping him go on an offensive. Brute executed the Gladiator Piledriver on Actagon for a big near fall as a result. The wild battle ended when Actagon caught the bloody Brute with a Backward Leg-Sweep for the pin. 7) Wolf & Proteus vs. Invincible Kraken & Mutant was a DDQ* The first of a double tag team main event saw Wolf team up with Proteus of The Greek Gods to face Society of Death members Invincible Kraken & Mutant. This was also something of a preview of the GWF Heavyweight title tournament where Wolf will face Kraken in the opening round. Proteus was a standout in this match showing great resilience as he twice escaped from the Temple Grinder of Mutant. Wolf had to do some heavy lifting later in the bout as he tried to give Proteus a breather. The battle between Wolf and Kraken was intense and it led to the finish as both men were disqualified as they traded blows outside the ring. 8) Star Warrior & Massif defeated Exo-King & Duke of Destruction* A titanic main event featuring four men competing in the GWF Heavyweight title tournament saw Star Warrior & Massif of the Federation Defense Fighters opposed by Exo-King & Duke of Destruction representing The Evil Ones. The hostility between Exo-King and Duke of Destruction, with the latter stating he should be leading the villainous faction, played a part in the end. After a hard fought battle, the Duke bailed out leaving Exo-King on his own. That led to Massif getting the better of his rival as he nailed Exo-King with the Volcanic Drop for the pin. Exo-King was vehemently angry post-match shoving aside several officials as he went to the back calling out Duke of Destruction.

That was some serious action as we prepare to witness an event that will ultimately crown the inaugural champions... Very interesting that Thantos did not appear on the card... I have to assume that he wanted to keep himself fresh for the demands of the upcoming tournament... Wolf has to remain a heavy favorite, but he must remain focused and not allow his savage tendencies to get the best of him... Exciting times!

Galaxian Wrestling Federation - 2087 - Deimos - Card #10 - GWF Heavyweight Title Tournament
Quarter-Final Round:
1) Wolf (Andromeda 13) defeated Invincible Kraken (CTA-102)
* A fired up Wolf took on Society of Death leader Invincible Kraken to kick off the tournament. Kraken was in good form early reversing several attacks by Wolf and delivering devastating moves like the reverse piledriver. Wolf was able to absorb the punishment and turned the tide driving Kraken out of the ring with a shoulder tackle. That set off a strong offensive from Wolf and a route to victory as he pinned Kraken after delivering the Wolf Skullcrusher.
2) Star Warrior (Cetus) defeated Exo-King (Altair)
* The popular Star Warrior was matched up against Exo-King, the leader of The Evil Ones, in a first round battle. It was looking good for Exo-King until Star Warrior made a counter and laid him out with the combo punches. That led to Star Warrior delivering the Nova Launch but somehow Exo-King kicked out before the three count. Star Warrior stayed on him, though, and quickly followed up with a Reverse Piledriver to score the pin.
3) Comrade Terror (Cygnus) defeated Massif (Ceres)
* This intense rematch from Deimos 6 between Massif and Comrade Terror was now for higher stakes with the winner advancing to the next round. Massif won that first showdown with a head butt, a strike that he used several times in this match. Terror had some trouble with the size advantage held by the 6’10” and 369-lb. Massif but he managed to trap him in the Comrade Neck Clutch at one point. Massif nearly put Terror away with a grinding bear hug before it went to the floor. Terror gained control there and back inside executed the Atomic Warhead for the pin.
4) Duke of Destruction (Altair) defeated Thantos (Maffei II)
* An upset of epic proportions took place as Duke of Destruction defeated Thantos to move onto the second round. It was a battle of Galaxian Villains that saw the Duke impressively hold his own against the heavily favored Thantos. For a good stretch it looked like Thantos, who was looking to regain the title that was taken from him by the Galaxian Commission, would win as he hit such moves as the Satanic Skull Smasher and full power slam.
Things were looking bleak for the Duke late until Exo-King interfered. It backfired as Exo-King was looking to strike the Duke but hit Thantos instead. The Duke avoided that fatal shot and took advantage applying the Grip of Doom and with Thantos unresponsive the referee called for the bell. The Duke won it by submission as an enraged Exo-King looked on at the man who has been trying to supplant him as the leader of The Evil Ones.
The Duke smugly stared down Exo-King but then ran off as Thantos recovered. That set the stage for a wild scene as Thantos went after Exo-King with the two brawling back to the locker room area. Thantos was then overheard calling for Comrade Terror to “bring me the head of The Duke” when the two meet in the second round.
Non-Tournament Match:
5) Proteus (Greece, Earth) defeated Massacre (Aethra)
* The Greek Gods and Gladiators of Aethra met in singles action as Proteus took on Massacre. Their respective tag team partners, Actagon and Brute, were barred from ringside for this match. This was a hard fought bout from the opening bell with both men gunning for victory. It went right down to the wire with Proteus scoring a reversal and connecting with the Proteus Smash on Massacre for the pin.
Semi-Final Round:
6) Wolf (Andromeda 13) defeated Star Warrior (Cetus)
* A match that could be a main event anywhere in the galaxy took place in the semi-final round as fan favorites Wolf and Star Warrior squared off. After receiving pre-match advice from his father Omega, Star Warrior attempted to shake hands with Wolf but he refused. That got things off to a tense start and that would be evident later on as the two had some vicious battles outside the ring. Star Warrior had Wolf in trouble a number of times, including knocking him clean out of the ring with a Running Star Blast. Wolf struck back with his own big offense and, after a few near falls, he delivered a flying clothesline deathjump style and then locked on the Savage Face Claw. Star Warrior tried to escape but ultimately succumbed to the hold allowing Wolf to punch his ticket to the finals with a submission win.
7) Comrade Terror (Cygnus) defeated Duke of Destruction (Altair)
* Thantos wanted Comrade Terror to “bring him the head” of the Duke of Destruction and it almost happened. This was a pretty one-sided affair that ended quickly as, after an outside ring attack, Comrade Terror planted the Duke with the dreaded Atomic Warhead and scored the pin. The win sent Comrade Terror to the tournament finals against Wolf and left the Duke pondering his next move. As for the true leader of The Evil Ones, Exo-King is scheduled to face Thantos at Deimos 11 following their wild brawl earlier in the night.
Non-Tournament Match:
8) Flying Titans (Lord Nexus, Pit Viper & Pulsar) defeated Killer Queen, Vanity & Death Knight
* The Flying Titans of Lord Nexus, Pit Viper and Pulsar took on a combination of The Evil Ones in Killer Queen, Vanity and Death Knight. Vanity is more of an associate due to his alliance with Killer Queen. This was a fantastic bout that saw both teams lay it all out on the table. Pulsar put in another resilient performance surviving both the Pulverizer by Vanity and the Death Ride by Death Knight late in the match. That seemed to revive the Titans as they mounted a big comeback. Pulsar nearly pinned Vanity with the Whirlwind and then gave way to Nexus. The finish saw Nexus deliver the Titan Drop on Vanity for the pin.
Final Round:
9) Comrade Terror (Cygnus) defeated Wolf (Andromeda 13) to win the title
* The main event was for all the marbles as Wolf took on Comrade Terror in the tournament final for the vacant GWF Heavyweight title. This was a savage battle between two violent competitors with plenty of the action taking place outside the ring. Comrade Terror took control after one outside battle and hit the Atomic Warhead for a big near fall. Wolf barely kicked out of the pin causing Terror to aggressively stalk the referee. Wolf regrouped after that and picked up big near falls of his own with the Wolf Skullcrusher and the atomic knee drop. Comrade Terror did a brilliant job of avoiding the Savage Face Claw and utilized his own Terror Face Claw to great effect. A hot finishing sequence saw Terror with a counter into a second Atomic Warhead for the pin. Just like that it was over and Comrade Terror was crowned the new GWF Heavyweight champion.
Thantos led a host of Galaxian Villains into the ring for post-match celebration as Comrade Terror roared and held up the title belt. The Space Terrorist proved to be the top star of the night and for that he left with the gold belt around his waist and the potential beginning of an “Era of Terror” for the GWF.

What an exceptional turn of events, leading into the crowning of your inaugural champion and the start of the Era of Terror (love that catchphrase, btw)... Duke over Thantos was an epic upset, to say the least... This is definitely going to hurt his chances of taking over leadership of the Evil Ones whether he realizes it or not... Something tells me the Gamemaster is going to get that head on a silver platter... Sooner rather than later.
As soon as he took out Star Warrior, I really thought Wolf was going to claim the title... Looks like he and Terror really tore the house down... SAVAGE!

What I do like is how it adds more tension between him, Exo-King and now Thantos on the villains side. I felt the same about Wolf. I was figuring after he beat Star Warrior he was a lock for the title but Comrade Terror stepped up his game big time in the finals. Terror has been really impressive as has Wolf for that matter. On I side note I just received my order of 2088 and I am looking forward to adding the new characters once this 25 event season for 2087 ends. In the meantime it gives me a chance to study up on the cards and the new storylines. I am already psyched to add Bishop Hell and Mesmer also looks pretty cool but I'm liking the set as a whole.

Oh, yeah... You're gonna have fun with 2088, my friend... You've already mentioned Bishop Hell and Mesmer... Plus, the tag team division gets a wicked shot in the arm with the additions of the AniMen, Norse Gods, Billy Jo Boxer, Adam Blast and The Creeper... They're not all marquee players obviously, but they certainly open up a lot of doors... And then there's Spike... 'Nuff said! HA!
