It’s incredible to see 2087 still alive and kicking decades later. Gotta be the greatest game in the history of games. Great start! Thanks Rob, I really appreciate that especially coming from a veritable COTG legend like yourself. I am having so much fun branching out into COTG since I have been a strictly legends player for so long. I was having a tough time with where to start my fed but I just opted to go back to the roots with 2087. No doubt this is the greatest game if all time. The possibilities are limitless no matter how you decide to play it.

Galaxian Wrestling Federation - 2087 - Deimos - Card #6
1) Actagon (Greece, Earth) defeated Death Knight (Altair)
* The opening contest saw Actagon, one-half of The Greek Gods, take on Death Knight of The Evil Ones. Actagon took advantage of Death Knight’s limited speed to dominate most of the way. Death Knight roughed him up late but Actagon rallied hitting an elbow to the head on a deathjump attack and then locked on the Grecian Sleeper Grip for a submission victory.
2) Vanity (Nereid, Neptune) defeated Red Talon (Andromeda 13)
* Red Talon, claiming to be one of the revered AniMen, has caused frustration for all of his opponents in the GWF thus far and the pompous Vanity was no exception. Talon dominated much of the way, hammering away with the Beak Butt several times, leaving Vanity in despair. Vanity avoided a dropkick late and struck quickly with a fist to the face and a Piledriver for the pin. He literally stole victory from the jaws of defeat in this one.
3) Pit Viper (Titan, Saturn) defeated Duke of Destruction (Altair)
* This rematch between Pit Viper of the Flying Titans and the undefeated Duke of Destruction, an associate of The Evil Ones, was a real war of attrition. It nearly went the time limit as both men exhausted their offensive arsenals. The match even included a ref bump coming off a deathjump by Pit Viper. The Duke had control late but then missed a corner charge. Pit Viper took advantage of that and, after Duke survived a Venom Blast, he locked on a Cobra Nerve Stopper resulting in a submission victory.
Exo-King, the leader of The Evil Ones, showed up at ringside afterward obviously upset with the loss by the Duke. The two had a brief disagreement but no physical contact before Exo-King walked off. The Duke then grabbed the mic and said he never gave up and that one day he will be the true and rightful leader of The Evil Ones.
4) Gladiators of Aethra (Brute & Massacre) defeated Neptunian Space-Croppers (Beast-Rider & Renegade)
* Tag team action saw the popular Neptunian Space-Croppers, Beast-Rider & Renegade, take on the Gladiators of Aethra, Brute & Massacre. This was an all-action bout that saw the Space-Croppers perform impressively against the unbeaten Gladiators. That included Beast-Rider surviving the devastating Decapitator by Brute. The Gladiators had to regroup and they did by taking over the latter stages of the match. It was Massacre that put The Gladiators in the win column once again as he pinned Beast-Rider with the Massacre Slam.
5) Thantos (Maffei II) defeated Pulsar (Titan, Saturn)
* Pulsar of the Flying Titans was looking to avenge the injury inflicted on Lord Nexus by Thantos courtesy of his devastating finisher the Masterlock. Pulsar was relentless in this match and at one point sent Thantos flying out of the ring after a third consecutive flying leg scissors. Thantos was visibly upset but he turned that into anger mounting a strong comeback. Pulsar proved resilient but Thantos ultimately trapped him in the Masterlock winning by submission.
He kept the hold on post-match until Pit Viper ran in for the save. As Thantos rolled out, Pit Viper informed him that Nexus has been cleared to return and the Galaxian Commission has sanctioned a rematch on the next card. Thantos was not pleased, especially knowing that Nexus would be coming back for some revenge.
6) Exo-King & Killer Queen defeated Wolf & Proteus
* Controversial is the best way to describe this tag match pitting Wolf & Proteus against Exo-King & Killer Queen. The pairing of Wolf and Greek Gods member Proteus comes based of Proteus being the lone ally of Wolf in the GWF. Things were going well for them in the closing stretch when Duke of Destruction showed up at ringside. During a referee distraction, the Duke used his weaponized left hand to deliver KO Punches to Wolf. That allowed Exo-King the chance to lock on the Death Vise and with Wolf unresponsive the referee called for the bell.
Exo-King and Killer Queen won it by submission as the Duke pranced around ringside, telling anyone who would listen that he should lead The Evil Ones. Exo-King was not pleased but neither was Wolf who had to be held back by Proteus from going after all three me. The Duke may have gloated there but he was not happy later when the Galaxian Commission informed him that he would be facing an enraged Wolf on the next card in Deimos.
7) Star Warrior, Commander Sam & Omega defeated Society of Death (Invincible Kraken, Mutant & Ghengis Khan)
* Big six-man tag team action was the co-headliner as Star Warrior, Commander Sam & Omega of the Federation Defense Fighters took on the Society of Death team of Invincible Kraken, Mutant & Ghengis Khan. This was a wild bout that featured some nice offensive runs from both sides. It really could have gone either way but Sam took it for the FDF in the end when he hit Sam’s Atomic Drop on Mutant for the pin.
8) Massif (Ceres) defeated Comrade Terror (Cygnus)
* A big time main event saw the popular Massif take on Comrade Terror, the notorious Space Terrorist and member of the Galaxian Villains. This was a brutal battle with both men unleashing some heavy offense. Terror had Massif in trouble several times but the big man kept battling back. A Massif Power Slam netted a two count late and he followed up with two consecutive piledrivers. Terror countered back but was taken down with a big shoulder tackle off the ropes by the 369-lb. giant. Both men were battle weary but Massif dug down connecting with a big Head Butt on Terror to score the pin. It was a pivotal win for Massif who hopes to earn a spot in the upcoming tournament for the vacant GWF Heavyweight title.

Brilliant main event... Even though Thantos and Star Warrior are consistent favorites to become champion, there is no denying that Massif and Comrade Terror are both real threats... Hoping to see both in the upcoming tourney for the title.
A little disappointing that Proteus & Wolf couldn't get past the Evil Ones... But, at least Wolf will get his chance for revenge against the Duke... OWOOOOOOO!

I am really looking forward to crowning the first champs. The Duke has proven to be a real pest but I think he may regret agitating Wolf.

Massif is grossly underrated. I used to love the way he head butted everyone all the time (IIRC he has two head butt - 3 on his card).

Massif is grossly underrated. I used to love the way he head butted everyone all the time (IIRC he has two head butt - 3 on his card). You are correct. He has the Head Butt - 3 on both level two offense and level three offense. I loved the finish in that match as both were well spent so I pictured Massif just delivering a big head butt and falling on Comrade Terror for the pin. I'm really liking Massif thus far.

Galaxian Wrestling Federation - 2087 - Deimos - Card #7
1) Beast-Rider (Nereid, Neptune) defeated Red Talon (Andromeda 13)
* Beast-Rider requested this match with Red Talon, becoming another in a long line that want a shot at the feathered grappler who claims to represent the revered Ani-Men. Talon was very impressive in this bout dominating most of the way but he was unable to put Beast-Rider away. Beast-Rider survived the Flying Headhunt and came back hitting his trademark Bulldog Ride for the pin.
2) Flying Titans (Pit Viper & Pulsar) defeated Executioner & Death Knight
* Solid tag team action saw the Flying Titans of Pit Viper & Pulsar do battle with Executioner & Death Knight, a real formidable duo. Executioner and Death Knight were teaming for the first time and put in a strong effort, almost winning it when Executioner hit Pit Viper with an illegal foreign object. The Titans persevered and took control in the home stretch culminating with Pit Viper hitting Venom Blast on Death Knight for the pin.
3) Renegade (Nereid, Neptune) defeated Ghengis Khan (Mongolia, Earth) by Count Out
* Most were expecting a wild battle between Renegade and Ghengis Khan and that’s what they got. Khan set the pace using some deadly chops and kicks forcing Renegade to dig down deep. He did that picking up a near fall with a double knee lift and took it to Khan outside with some brawling attacks. That is where the match was decided as he countered a charge by Khan with a backdrop over the ring barrier and dove back into the ring winning it by count out.
4) Killer Queen (Altair) defeated Commander Sam (USA, Earth)
* Commander Sam was hoping to find a big win as he took on Killer Queen, the atomic punk of the GWF. Sam was in control early and hit Sam’s Atomic Drop but Queen got his foot over the bottom rope to break up the pin. Sam went for a deathjump attack but Queen countered with a big superplex. That led to Queen locking on the Checkmate three times but Sam refused to surrender. Queen was frustrated by that but a fourth application of Checkmate later forced Sam to concede. Killer Queen picked up an impressive submission victory over his veteran opponent.
5) The Greek Gods (Actagon & Proteus) defeated Society of Death (Invincible Kraken & Mutant)
* The Greek Gods, Actagon & Proteus, took on Society of Death members Invincible Kraken & Mutant in a classic tag team battle. Both teams looked good during this bout which could definitely decide seeding in the upcoming GWF tag team title tournament. Kraken was a real force taking the fight to The Greek Gods late in the bout. Proteus, the powerhouse of the team, rallied The Greek Gods to a big victory when he pinned Mutant with the Overhead Toss.
6) Wolf (Andromeda 13) defeated Duke of Destruction (Altair)
* A grudge match was up next as Wolf took on Duke of Destruction. After the Duke caused him to lose on the prior card at Deimos, Wolf was gunning for revenge making Duke of Destruction hesitant to get into the ring. Once things got underway Wolf was dominant barely letting the Duke get any offense in. Controversy ensued when Wolf locked on the Savage Face Claw but the Duke delivered a low blow to escape. Duke then went for a body slam but an enraged Wolf slipped out and blasted him with a Running Clothesline to score the pin.
7) Omega & Star Warrior defeated Gladiators of Aethra (Brute & Massacre)
* Feature tag team action saw the father-and-son team of Omega & Star Warrior face the undefeated Gladiators of Aethra, Brute & Massacre. Omega reverted back to his prime in this match not only delivering solid offensive support to his son but also surviving a Decapitator by Massacre. Star Warrior hit the Nova Launch on Massacre at one point but Brute made the save. Brute had a great head-to-head battle with Star Warrior late in the bout thrilling the fans. Star Warrior then caught Massacre with a reverse piledriver and, after a tag, Omega delivered the Tomahawk Thrust and scored the pin. The crowd went wild for the victory by Omega and Star Warrior who handed the Gladiators their first defeat in tag team competition.
8) Thantos (Maffei II) defeated Lord Nexus (Titan, Saturn)
* Lord Nexus, just cleared to return from injury after taking a vicious Masterlock from Thantos, no doubt was hungry for revenge. Unfortunately for the popular star from Saturn victory would elude him. They don’t call Thantos the Evil Gamemaster for nothing and, instead of focusing on the injured knee, he struck quickly with a Shoulder Breaker and pinned Lord Nexus snake eyes style just minutes into the match. Thantos looked for a post-match attack but Pit Viper and Pulsar ran in to fend him off, with the Flying Titans issuing a challenge to Thantos and his Galaxian Villain army.

Love seeing Star Warrior and Omega hand the Gladiators their first tag loss. Historic. Thanks Swarm that match was incredible. It felt like Omega went back to his prime years and it was a shocker when he and Star Warrior beat the Gladiators of Aethra. It's just one of those great things about this game as you never know what will happen and where the results can take you.

Very cool. My brother and I played this game back in 1990. We played for a few years and then got our drivers license and that was the end of that. Now we are back playing again, but this time there is 3 of us and we are playing competitively. We have a jackpot at the end of the season, which is 4 months.
We have sets 2087 to 2097. We held a draft and drafted 20 wrestlers each. Used Excel to set up a round ronin schedule. We also used excel to set up a very detailed point system. It’s pretty impressive after we got the finished product. We even set up a method for earning title shots and extra points for winning or defending your title. Each wrestler has 40 matches. One match against every other wrestler on the opponents roster.
