Galaxian Wrestling Federation - 2087 - Deimos - Card #3
1) Duke of Destruction (Altair) defeated Red Talon (Andromeda 13)
* This opening contest between GWF newcomers saw Red Talon, claiming to represent the superior AniMen race, opposed by the Duke of Destruction. Hailing from Altair, the Duke was representing the Evil Ones who are headed up by Exo-King. Red Talon dominated most of the way scoring a couple of near falls. The Duke rallied back late and caught Red Talon in the Grip of Doom for a snake eyes submission, snatching victory from the jaws of defeat.
2) Killer Queen & Vanity defeated Neptunian Space-Croppers (Beast-Rider & Renegade)
* Tag team action at its finest was observed as the Neptunian Space-Croppers, Beast-Rider & Renegade, faced Killer Queen & Vanity. Both teams were on point trading a series of near falls and utilizing double-team attacks to gain the upper hand. Vanity, formerly a part of the Neptunian Space-Croppers, had his hands full as Beast-Rider and Renegade looked to punish him. In the end it was Killer Queen winning it for his team when he trapped Beast-Rider in Checkmate for a submission win.
3) Invincible Kraken (CTA-102) defeated Pulsar (Titan, Saturn)
* The popular Pulsar of the Flying Titans had his hands full with Invincible Kraken, the leader of Society of Death. He put up a game fight but Kraken used outside ring attacks and roughed him up, ultimately scoring the pin after executing a Backward Leg-Sweep.
4) Wolf (Andromeda 13) defeated Ghengis Khan (Mongolia, Earth)
* What was an anticipated bout turned into a rout as Wolf took the measure of Ghengis Khan. Wolf dominated from the start and never let up, ultimately applying the feared Savage Face Claw for a submission victory.
5) Lord Nexus (Titan, Saturn) defeated Mutant (Unknown)
* The Flying Titans and Society of Death were featured again as Lord Nexus faced Mutant with Nexus hoping to avenge his recent loss to Mutant in six-man tag team action. He got that revenge and more by literally winning the match in one move via a Boston Crab for a snake eyes submission. Pulsar, upset with his earlier loss, ran in and attacked Mutant until Nexus pulled him off. This led to Mutant challenging Pulsar to a match on the next card.
6) The Greek Gods (Actagon & Proteus) vs. Gladiators of Aethra (Brute & Massacre) was a Draw
* Quite a contrast to the previous couple of matches was this long and brutal battle between rival teams The Greek Gods and the Gladiators of Aethra. Both teams utilized every weapon in their arsenal while exhausting double-team and pin save opportunities. Neither team wanted to go down and it showed as it went down to the wire ending with Actagon trapping Massacre in the Grecian Sleeper Grip. While Proteus battled Brute, Actagon tried to get the win for The Greek Gods but Massacre refused to submit and the bell sounded resulting in a time limit draw decision.
7) Thantos, Executioner & Exo-King defeated Star Warrior, Omega & Massif
* Big six-man tag team action saw the Federation Defense Fighters of Star Warrior, Omega & Massif take on a trio of Galaxian Villains in Thantos, Executioner & Exo-King. This was an explosive battle with some heated rivalries coming to the forefront, especially Massif and Exo-King. The two titanic grapplers had some terrific exchanges including Massif surviving the Death Vise and nearly putting Exo-King down for a three count with the Massif Power Slam. Star Warrior later hit the Nova Launch on Exo-King for a big near fall. The finishing stretch saw Thantos taunt Star Warrior as he roughed up his father Omega. The proud veteran fought back valiantly but was ultimately defeated when Executioner caught him with a Flying Knee Drop for the pin.
8) Cosmic Cage Match: Comrade Terror (Cygnus) defeated Commander Sam (USA, Earth)
* This rematch between the popular Commander Sam and Comrade Terror inside the Cosmic Cage saw both men go all out to attain victory. Sam, still reeling from his prior loss to Comrade Terror in the cage as well as a tough time limit draw with Thantos, knew this wasnโt going to be easy. He refused to back down, though, and suffered for it by having his forehead wounds ripped open again. Terror was relentless in assault late in the match, including delivering the Atomic Warhead. The bloody Sam was in a bad way and Terror seized on it executing a Backward Leg-Sweep before escaping out the door of the cage for the win.
Thantos once again made his way to ringside and joined Terror in going inside the cage to attack a defenseless Sam. It was all Star Warrior could take and, unable to get through the locked door, he scaled the cage and dove off on top of both men. Sam recovered and he joined Star Warrior in battling Thantos and Terror until the Galaxian Commission called on security to break into the cage and separate all four men. It was then announced that on card number four at Deimos it would be Star Warrior & Commander Sam facing Thantos & Comrade Terror in tag team action.

The Greeks and the Gladiators battling until the clock ran out was very exciting... This rivalry is so evenly matched... One of the best of this era, imo.
On the flip side, it was great that Sam showed a lot of guts in that Cosmic Cage main event... Unfortunately, the man is obviously past his prime and cannot hang with Terror on a consistent basis... The upcoming tag match pitting him and Star Warrior against their respective rivals, Terror and Thantos, should be a wicked draw however.
Really enjoying this project, my friend... Keep 'em rollin'!

Thanks my friend and I am enjoying it as well especially getting to fully learn about all of these great names for the first time. As you know I have been wanting to do something with the COTG cards for a while and I finally decided to just start from the beginning. The Greek Gods vs. The Gladiators was a great match and I look forward to running that again. Comrade Terror has proven to be very tough so far. Two wins over Commander Sam inside the Cosmic Cage is impressive. The best thing about this is I have found a balance with my LOW fed where I can run shows in both each week so I don't have to push one or the other aside.

Galaxian Wrestling Federation - 2087 - Deimos - Card #4
1) Mutant (Unknown) defeated Pulsar (Titan, Saturn)
* This opening grudge match between Pulsar of the Flying Titans and Mutant of Society of Death took on extra heat after Pulsar attacked Mutant on the prior show. Pulsar had something to prove and had Mutant in trouble several times but could not put him away. Mutant took things outside and mauled Pulsar before locking on the Temple Grinder for a submission victory.
2) Duke of Destruction (Altair) defeated Pit Viper (Titan, Saturn)
* The popular Pit Viper was hoping to win one for the Flying Titans as he took on Duke of Destruction, an associate of the Evil Ones. Pit Viper had some strong offensives but Duke kept countering or escaping from the ring. Those antics were enough to frustrate Pit Viper and allowed Duke to steal this one when he locked on the Grip of Doom for a submission win.
3) The Greek Gods (Actagon & Proteus) defeated Society of Death (Invincible Kraken & Ghengis Khan)
* The Greek Gods, Actagon & Proteus, took on Society of Death members Invincible Kraken & Ghengis Khan in a match with some importance heading into the upcoming GWF tag team title tournament. The Greek Gods were on their game in this one and shocked the Society of Death with a quick victory coming when Proteus pinned Kraken after delivering a Flying Elbow Drop.
4) Beast-Rider (Nereid, Neptune) defeated Killer Queen (Altair)
* One of the fiercest rivalries in the GWF involves Beast-Rider of the Neptunian Space-Croppers and the peculiar Killer Queen. This singles bout saw Killer Queen frequently distracted by the โbeastโ that Beast-Rider rode to the ring on. His early advantage was countered by Beast-Rider who stormed back hitting the Beast Knee Shuffle for a two count. That left Killer Queen easy prey for the Bulldog Ride allowing Beast-Rider to score the pin.
5) Renegade (Nereid, Neptune) defeated Vanity (Nereid, Neptune)
* One time tag team partners collided as Renegade took on Vanity. The betrayal by Vanity of his Neptune brethren still stings especially for Renegade who watch his partner join the Galaxian villains. This was an intense bout, but a quick one ending when Renegade caught Vanity in the Spinecracker scoring a submission victory. Even the female accomplice of Vanity couldnโt console him after this tough loss.
6) Massif & Omega defeated Exo-King & Death Knight
* Major tag team action saw Massif & Omega, representing the Federation Defense Fighters, go against the Evil Ones combination of Exo-King & Death Knight. The respective rivalries between the four men have been a focal point of the GWF in 2087, in particular the intense rivalry between Massif and Exo-King. Those two had some great exchanges in this match but it came down to the two other rivals, Omega and Death Knight, deciding it. Death Knight was brought to the GWF specifically to eliminate Omega, the company founder. That didnโt happen here as a late tag by Massif led to Omega storming in and executing the Cosmic War Dance on Death Knight for the pin.
Exo-King, frustrated over the loss, issued a challenge to Massif for a Titan Death Match on the next event. Massif had no problem accepting that and promised Exo-King that he would fight to his last breath to defeat him.
7) Wolf (Andromeda 13) defeated Executioner (France, Earth)
* The rivalry between Wolf and Executioner has electrified the GWF in 2087 and this match was proof of that. This was an extreme, hard fought battle that was fought outside of the ring as much as inside it. There was even outside interference by Ghengis Khan who broke up a Savage Face Claw by Wolf before being ejected from ringside. Two key momentum changes came on missed deathjump attacks by each man setting up near fall opportunities. The finish saw Wolf regain control and he locked on the Savage Face Claw for a second time resulting in a submission win.
8) Star Warrior & Commander Sam defeated Thantos & Comrade Terror
* You would be hard pressed to find a bigger tag team main event than Star Warrior & Commander Sam of the Federation Defense Fighters against the Galaxian Villains team of Thantos & Comrade Terror. The heat between the two sides has lit up the GWF in 2087. Thantos nearly won it early with the Masterlock on Star Warrior but the fan favorite reversed out of it into the ropes. Terror followed hitting the Atomic Warhead on Star Warrior but Sam made a big save. That reversed the momentum as from there the FDF duo managed to keep Terror separated from Thantos. The finishing stretch saw Star Warrior batter Terror with combo punches, boxing jabs and the forearm hammer. That beating led to Sam hitting Samโs Atomic Drop on Terror for the pin as Star Warrior prevented a save by Thantos. It was sweet revenge for Commander Sam coming off his recent Cosmic Cage Match losses to Comrade Terror.

It's always great to see Sam pull out a big win over Terror... It keeps the feud interesting... And yeah, tag matches like this main event are a really nice touch.
Plus, Wolf remains undefeated... OWOOOOOOO!

OWOOOOOOO! Wolf is a beast...literally! I have a feeling he is going to be very tough to beat and he will probably be claiming one of the top seeds, if not number one, in the GWF Heavyweight title tournament. I was happy when Commander Sam came out on the winning side especially because Comrade Terror has been getting the better of him. Thanks for checking out the action my friend I am having a lot of fun with this journey...

Galaxian Wrestling Federation - 2087 - Deimos - Card #5
1) Mutant & Ghengis Khan defeated Pit Viper & Pulsar
* The Flying Titans of Pit Viper & Pulsar took on Society of Death members Mutant & Ghengis Khan in grudge tag team. This was a very intense bout that built to a controversial finish. Pit Viper looked to have it won with Venom Blast on Mutant but Khan interfered with a deadly throat chop. Pulsar then tackled Khan but Mutant took advantage of the situation locking the Temple Grinder on Pit Viper for a submission victory.
2) Red Talon (Andromeda 13) defeated Death Knight (Altair)
* In what could be termed an upset, Red Talon pulled off a victory over the tough Death Knight. This didnโt last long as Talon recovered first after a double clothesline off the ropes and used the Feather Smother on Death Knight. That left Death Knight disoriented allowing Red Talon to cradle him for the pin.
3) Comrade Terror & Duke of Destruction defeated Commander Sam & Omega
* Another grudge tag match saw Commander Sam & Omega lock horns with Comrade Terror & Duke of Destruction. The clashes between Sam and Terror proved that nothing has been resolved between the two with the hatred just being too deep. Omega used his veteran skills to get the better of the Duke for a good stretch until he countered with KO Punches. That turned the tide in this one and Terror took it into the home stretch pinning Omega after an Atomic Knee Drop. Terror glared at Sam post-match before slithering out of the ring with the Duke.
4) Killer Queen & Vanity defeated Neptunian Space-Croppers (Beast-Rider & Renegade)
* Quite a rivalry has been developing between the Neptunian Space-Croppers, Beast-Rider & Renegade, and the flamboyant pairing of Killer Queen & Vanity. This rematch between the two teams could have gone either way in what was a long and exhausting battle. The end came when Beast-Rider was left in a bad way and Vanity seized on that hitting the Pulverizer from the top rope for the pin. With the GWF tag team title tournament upcoming every win could get you a better seeding and on this night it was Killer Queen & Vanity that edged a little further in that regard.
5) Star Warrior (Cetus) defeated Invincible Kraken (CTA-102) by DQ
* A notable singles match pitted the popular Star Warrior against Society of Death leader Invincible Kraken. This was a great back-and-forth battle that saw each man pick up near falls. Star Warrior kicked it into gear late and had Kraken in trouble before the action spilled out of the ring. Kraken wound up being disqualified snake eyes style after using a chair on Star Warrior. It didnโt end there as Mutant and Ghengis Khan ran down joining Kraken in a three-on-one attack. That led to Omega and Commander Sam hitting the ring for a six-way brawl which, after it was broken up, led to the Galaxian Commission ordering a six-man tag team match between the two sides on the next card.
6) Thantos (Maffei II) defeated Lord Nexus (Titan, Saturn)
* Another big singles match ended in controversy as Lord Nexus of the Flying Titans took on Thantos, the head of the Galaxian Villains. Both men were on point in this match which could have gone either way. In the end, though, and perhaps out of desperation, Thantos executed a Choke Using Ropes and then grabbed the ropes for leverage as he held Nexus down for a snake eyes pin.
Thantos wasnโt finished there as he applied the Masterlock on Nexus also using the ropes for leverage until Pit Viper and Pulsar rushed into the ring. Pulsar was fired up and he challenged Thantos to face him. Thantos accepted smiling and said that the Masterlock will claim another victim. Nexus had to be helped out of the ring by his partners as a result of the attack.
7) Wolf, Actagon & Proteus defeated Brute, Massacre & Executioner
* Big six-man tag team action saw Wolf team up with The Greek Gods, Actagon & Proteus, to take on the Gladiators of Aethra, Brute & Massacre, and Executioner. The Gladiators and the Executioner jumped their foes before the bell getting this one off to a wild start. It was so wild that it didnโt last long. With the others brawling outside the ring, Actagon nailed Brute with a Reverse Piledriver to score the pin. The battle continued post-match until Wolf and The Greek Gods gained the upper hand driving the opposition out of the ring.
8) Titan Death Match: Massif (Ceres) defeated Exo-King (Altair)
* The intense conflict between Massif and Exo-King led to them squaring off in a Titan Death Match. First introduced in 2086, the Titan Death Match is a perfect way to settle a grudge as there as basically no rules. Exo-King has been getting the better of Massif on recent events so this was a huge match for the star from Ceres. Massif was at his absolute best as he tore into Exo-King, including busting him open midway through the match with a run into the ring post. After a ref bump, Exo-King turned it around but that only proved to be momentary. Massif, who failed to put the bloody Exo-King away with the Volcanic Drop, then locked on an Abdominal Claw grinding it in until Exo-King had no choice but to concede. Massif won it by submission, sending a message to his storied rival in the process.
Injury Report:
* Lord Nexus suffered a minor knee injury courtesy of Thantos and his Masterlock and will miss the next GWF card. Nexus has already demanded a rematch with Thantos but first up it will be his Flying Titans ally Pulsar who will take on the Galaxian villain.

Thoroughly enjoyed that six-man tag match even though it was somewhat brief... The friendship between Wolf and Proteus is something I always found difficult to explore... And for some reason, I never thought of teaming up Executioner with the Gladiators - which is a really cool idea.
Excited for a Nexus vs. Thantos rematch... And hopefully, Pulsar doesn't wind up using crutches after his own upcoming encounter with the Gamemaster... Fun times!

Itโs incredible to see 2087 still alive and kicking decades later. Gotta be the greatest game in the history of games. Great start!

And hopefully, Pulsar doesn't wind up using crutches after his own upcoming encounter with the Gamemaster... Fun times! I went with Wolf and Proteus just based on what the 2087 handbook says and it will be interesting to see how they work together. I will never break up The Greek Gods (I love that team!) but it is fun to use Proteus with a different partner for some matches. It also frees up Actagon for some singles action. As for the Gladiators and Executioner teaming it was because I needed a third man to team with Brute & Massacre for the match and since they are all villains I figured why not? He seemed to fit right in with them. Thantos has thus far proved to be a real force, much like Wolf, and the Flying Titans crew could regret going up against The Gamemaster. We shall see. Thanks for the comments and interest my friend, and especially thanks for inspiring me to get into the COTG side of things.
