Williams eventually fought out of the corner and made the tag. The action continued back and forth as bWo held their own against their stronger opponents. It looked as if Blue was going to be pinned multiple times, but a seemingly slow count aided in him kicking out. A Doctor Bomb from Williams finally sealed the deal because no one was going to kick out after being planted the way Williams planted Blue.(Monsoon welcomes everyone to this edition of Legends of Wrestling. Monsoon introduces Heenan and explains how all of the matches on today’s show emanate from the legendary Mid-South Coliseum. LOW WORLD 6-MAN TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT SEMIFINAL D’Lo Brown & PG-13 (JC Ice & Wolfie D) vs. Greg ‘The Hammer’ Valentine & Amazing French Canadians (Jacques Rougeau & Pierre Carl Oulette) w/Jimmy HartReferee: James Beard This seemed to be an even, back and forth encounter as both teams battled and utilized multiple tags. The end came when Wolfie dazed Valentine long enough with a sit-out powerbomb to get the pin.(Monsoon touted this match as an upset as Heenan commented on PG-13 being a couple of thugs that don’t belong in a wrestling ring.) COMMERCIAL (Monsoon introduced the next match by saying official Joey Marella is going to have his hands full with wild men like George ‘The Animal’ Steele and ‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan involved. Heenan: They’re a couple of wildmen that may have one brain cell between them. Monsoon: Would you please stop.) LOW WORLD 6-MAN TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT SEMIFINAL George ‘The Animal’ Steele & British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid) w/Lou Albano vs. ‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan, Ted DiBiase & Stevie ‘Dr. Death’ WilliamsReferee: Joey Marella The match was barely underway when the action spilled out of the ring. Duggan got a little carried away and slammed Smith through a ringside table and Marella uncharacteristically called for the quick disqualification.(Monsoon comments that Marella didn’t give either team much leeway and it cost Duggan dearly. Monsoon transitions to the next match explaining they will take a break from tournament action and that the next match would be a main event anywhere in the country.) Johnny Mantel vs. Tracy SmothersReferee: James Beard Smothers had things going his way until he started jawing with the crowd. Mantel took advantage and beat him with a RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP.COMMERCIAL (Monsoon talked about how the team of Ivan Koloff & Ray ‘The Crippler’ Stevens were victims of a vicious beatdown by The Roughhouse Gang after their match with Road Dogg and Billy Gunn. Heenan: Couldn’t have happened to nicer pair of guys. Monsoon: We join this match already in progress.) ‘Cowboy’ Bob Orton, Jr. & Don Muraco w/Mr. Fuji vs. Ivan Koloff & Ray ‘The Crippler’ StevensReferee: Dick Woehrle Muraco escaped to the ringside area. Koloff followed and grabbed a chair. Woehrle warned Koloff about the chair, but Koloff shoved Woehrle aside and smashed Muraco with the chair. Woehrle disqualified Koloff.(Postmatch: Stevens took exception to Koloff’s use of the chair and got in an argument with his partner. Woehrle tried to get between the two men as they began shoving and managed to separate the two, but the two returned to the locker room separately.) COMMERCIAL (Monsoon welcomes everyone back to the program and talks about how World Women’s Champion Mildred Burke has her first title defense against the woman she defeated to win that title.) LOW WORLD WOMEN’S TITLE MATCH Nora Greenwald vs. LOW Women’s Champion Mildred BurkeReferee: Dick Woehrle Burke dominated most of the match, Greenwald found a sliver of hope after slamming Burke into a ringside table. Escaping disqualification, Greenwald returned the action to the ring, where Burke regained the advantage and ultimately pinned Greenwald with the ALLIGATOR CLUTCH to retain the title.(Monsoon comments on the talent of Mildred Burke as Heenan adds that she’s not bad to look at either.) COMMERCIAL (Monsoon announces that is time for the tournament final and the trio of Brown and PG-13 are unexpected participants. Heenan says that maybe being a thug pays off in the end.) LOW WORLD 6-MAN TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT FINAL D’Lo Brown & PG-13 (JC Ice & Wolfie D) vs. George ‘The Animal’ Steele & British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid) w/Lou AlbanoReferee: Joey Marella This match started out quickly as Steele went after Wolfie as Gary Michael Cappetta was finishing his introductions. Wolfie battled Steele off and the match settled down. The action continued back and forth for several minutes until Smith finally pinned Brown after a piledriver to win the titles.(Monsoon and Heenan wrap up the show by congratulating Albano’s team and inviting the viewers to join them next time.)

08-26-21 KNOXVILLE CIVIC COLISEUM KNOXVILLE, TN Johnny Mantel vs. KonnanReferee: Joey Marella This action spilled out of the ring early and as both men brawled, Mantel grabbed a chair. Marella tried to prevent Mantel from using the chair, but was shoved aside, leading Marella to call for the disqualification.Curt & Larry ‘The Axe’ Hennig vs. Masked Superstar & Scott ‘Hog’ IrwinReferee: Dick Woehrle Superstar & Irwin isolated Curt and battered him pretty good. Curt kept trying to find respite outside the ring, but his opponents kept up the assault until Curt smashed Superstar into the ringpost. Curt managed to tag Larry and Larry came in a house-a-fire. He took on both opponents successfully for several minutes, but Superstar regained the advantage and tagged Irwin. Larry regained the advantage and eventually put Irwin away with THE AXE.Johnny Saint vs. B. Brian BlairReferee: James Beard This was a fantastic up tempo match. Blair seemingly had Saint beat several different times, but Saint somehow found a way out of trouble. Saints luck eventually ran out and Blair pinned him with a flying body press.Nora Greenwald vs. Ida Mae MartinezReferee: Joey Marella This match was very even as both ladies battled back and forth. Martinez finally beat Greenwald after on final DROPKICK.Greg ‘The Hammer’ Valentine & Amazing French Canadians (Jacques Rougeau & Pierre Carl Oulette) w/Jimmy Hart vs. The Crusher & Flying Redheads (Red Bastien & Billy Red Lyons)(Referee: Dick Woehrle This was a very competitive match with multiple near falls. The end came after Bastien locked Valentine in a sleeper. The other members of the match brawled uncontrollably as Woehrle checked Valentine. Valentine was quickly rendered unconscious and Woehrle called for the bell.George Hackenschmidt vs. Tracy SmothersReferee: James Beard Smothers seemed to be in over his head in this one. Hack locked in the RUSSIAN BEARHUG and couldn’t get the submission, but released Smothers and immediately made the pin.The Roughhouse Gang (Road Dogg & Billy Gunn) vs. The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers)Referee: Joey Marella Both teams executed multiple tags in an attempt to gain the advantage. Both teams battled back and forth until The Fantastics delivered a double monkey flip that sent Gunn out of the ring. The Fantastics delivered back to back FANTASTIC FLIPS before Rogers pinned Dogg with a crucifix roll-up.LOW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH Jim Londos vs. LOW Heavyweight Champion Jackie FargoReferee: Dick Woehrle Londos gained and small early advantage, but Fargo completely overwhelmed Londos after that with his rough house tactics. Fargo tossed Londos from the ring to the ringside area with reckless abandon, using a chair multiple times. Woehrle quickly grew tired of Fargo’s antics and called for the disqualification. Londos won the match, but Fargo retained the title.

08-27-21 DOTHAN CIVIC CENTER DOTHAN, AL Leilani Kai w/Jimmy Hart vs. Jazz w/Teddy Long(Referee: Joey Marella) Jazz overpowered Kai early, but it was Kai who gained the advantage after a couple of slams. Jazz recovered and the action continued back and forth. Kai whipped Jazz into the buckle and delivered a vicious clothesline as Jazz bounced forward. Kai followed up with a RUNNING SPLASH to make the pin.D’Lo Brown & PG-13 (JC Ice & Wolfie D) vs. Bruiser Brody, Stan Hansen & Jimmy ‘Superfly’ Snuka(Referee: Dick Woehrle) Brody, Hansen and Snuka were all over their opponents, delivering a vicious beating. Hansen pinned Brown after a LARIAT.Jim Londos vs. Greg ‘The Hammer’ Valentine w/Jimmy Hart(Referee: James Beard) Both men battled back and forth, but it was the deliberate style of Valentine that came out on top when he made Londos submit to the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK.Mad Dog Vachon & The Crusher vs. The Primadonnas (Chris Candido & Tom Prichard) w/Tammy Sytch(Referee: Joey Marella) Crusher and Vachon dominated the match, overpowering their opponents throughout, but a tactical error made by Crusher cost the duo the victory. Crusher attempted a rare high risk move from the top turnbuckle, but Candido countered with the PRIMADONNA PLUNGE to get the win.Tommy Rogers vs. Ric McCord(Referee: Dick Woehrle) After a very evenly matched contest, McCord made Rogers submit to a figure four leglock.Candi Devine vs. Joyce Grable(Referee: James Beard) Devine dominated the match and pinned Grable with a CROSS BODY BLOCK.‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan, Ted DiBiase & Steve ‘Dr. Death’ Williams vs. Masked Superstar & Long Riders (‘Wild’ Bill Irwin & Scott ‘Hog’ Irwin)Both teams battled back and forth before DiBiase scored a flurry of near falls on Scott then made the pin after a backbreaker.LOW JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH Stevie Richards w/Blue Meanie & Nova vs. LOW Jr. Heavyweight Champion Ricky Morton(Referee: Joey Marella) (Prematch: The bWo came through the crowd and high fived the fans as they made their ring entrance. Morton even got into the act as he cheered them on as the bWo entered the ring. After the fanfare, both Richards and Morton got down to business.) After all the craziness of the bWo entrance, Morton nearly ended this match immediately with a hurricanrana shortly after the opening bell. Richards weathered the storm and battled back. Morton once again gained the advantage and looked to have things won with a CROSS BODY BLOCK, but Meanie and Nova entered the ring to disrupt the count. Morton met them head on, dropkicking Meanie out of the ring before clotheslining Nova out of the ring as well. Morton connected with a second CROSS BODY BLOCK and made the pin to retain the title.

09-17-21 SUNDOME TAMPA, FL Jim Brunzell vs. Sam HoustonReferee: Dick Woehrle The match started out with a handshake, but at some point, sportsmanship went out the window. Houston lost his temper and smashed Brunzell with a chair while outside the ring. Woehrle didn’t hesitate to call for the disqualification.Melina vs. Malia HosakaReferee: James Beard This was a great back and forth match with each woman capitalizing on the other’s mistakes. Hosaka finally pulled out a victory with a FRANKENSTEINER.PrimaDonnas (Chris Candido & Tom Prichard) w/Tammy Sytch vs. Curt & Larry ‘The Axe’ HennigReferee: Joey Marella Curt grabbed the early advantage before the action spilled out of the ring. Out of desperation, Candido tossed Hennig through a table and was disqualified.(Post-match: Sytch attempted to sweet talk Marella into changing his decision, but Marella resisted her advances.) Johnny Saint vs. Brian ChristopherReferee: Dick Woehrle After an early back and forth, Christopher gained the advantage and dominated the match for several minutes. Bruiser Brody, Stan Hansen & Jimmy ‘Superfly’ Snuka vs. The Crusher & Flying Redheads (Red Bastien & Billy Red Lyons)Referee: James Beard Brody was brawling with Lyons when the match was joined. Both men battled back and forth before tagging out. Hansen gained the advantage on Bastein and got the three count after a LARIAT.COMMERCIAL (Monsoon and Heenan discussed the next match, the main event. They discussed Ivan Koloff’s split from his former partner, Ray Stevens, and how Koloff has retained the services of Mr. Fuji.) Jack Brisco vs. Ivan Koloff w/Mr. FujiReferee: Joey Marella Brisco missed a turnbuckle charge early on then weathered a brutal onslaught by Koloff, which included multiple RUSSIAN SICKLES, Russian Hammers and falling face slams. Brisco absorbed a lot of punishment before slowly battling back. Brisco had Koloff locked in a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK twice, only to have Fuji provide a distraction that pulled Marella’s attention away from the action. Brisco’s assault eventually overwhelmed Koloff, who attempted to escape to ringside. Brisco delivered multiple dropkicks that sent Koloff reeling. Brisco returned to the ring and Koloff was not able to beat Marella’s count, giving Brisco the count out victory.(Monsoon and Heenan wrap up the show, congratulating Brisco on a hard fought victory, but also lauding Koloff for giving the Oklahoma product all he could handle. 09-24-21 D.C. ARMORY WASHINGTON DC Rock ‘n’ Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) vs. Bruiser Brody & Stan HansenReferee: Dick Woehrle This was a brutal contest, but RnR held their own. The power of Brody and Hansen was too much and Hansen pinned Gibson after a piledriver.Stevie Richards w/Blue Meanie & Super Nova) vs. Bobby FultonReferee: James Beard (Pre-match: bWo came through the crowd and played to the fans. Richards was all business once the bell rang though.) Richards dominated the early going, but couldn’t even get a near fall. Fulton battled back, surviving interference from bWo, and after several near falls pinned Richards with a FANTASTIC CRADLE.Konnan vs. George HackenschmidtReferee: Joey Marella Konnan gained the early advantage and after several near falls, Hackenschmidt recovered. Konnan regained the advantage and put Hackenschmidt away with a belly to belly suplex.Candi Devine vs. Malia HosakaReferee: Dick Woehrle Hosaka dominated the match and beat Devine with a FRANKENSTEINER.Ric McCord vs. Jim BrunzellReferee: James Beard This was a classic, back and forth match. Lots of great action with Beard showing some leniency as both men bent the rules slightly while out of the ring. The end came as McCord pinned Brunzell with a FLYING BODY PRESS.The Roughhouse Gang (Road Dogg & Billy Gunn) vs. Miracle Violence Connection (Steve ‘Dr. Death’ Williams & Terry ‘Bamm Bamm’ Gordy)Referee: Joey Marella Dogg and Gunn had their work cut out for them against MVC. MVC overpowered their opponents throughout the match, but Dogg and Gunn endured. Gunn eventually caught Williams in a compromised way and made the pin after a STANDING LEG DROP.Leilani Kai w/Jimmy Hart vs. ‘Sensatonal’ Sherri MartelReferee: Dick Woehrle This proved to be a grueling back and forth contest. Martel had a sure pin after a TOP ROPE SPLASH, but Hart distracted Woehrle. Hart inconspicuously dropped his megaphone in the ring only for Martel to gain possession and deck Kai with it. Martel couldn’t put Kai away, even after a second TOP ROPE SPLASH. Kai regained the advantage and finally pinned Martel after a butterfly suplex.Greg ‘The Hammer’ Valentine w/Jimmy Hart vs. Jack BriscoReferee: James Beard Brisco gained an early advantage, but Valentine battled back. Brisco regained the advantage and had Valentine locked in the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Hart jumped up on the apron and caused the distraction. Brisco turned his attention to Hart and Valentine grabbed Brisco from behind. Hart attempted to deck Brisco with the megaphone, but blasted Valentine instead. Brisco quickly rolled Valentine up with a ROLLING REVERSE CRADLE for the victory.

10-13-21 COBO HALL DETROIT, MI ‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan, Ted DiBiase & Steve ‘Dr. Death’ Williams w/Terry Gordy vs. bWo (Stevie Richards, Blue Meanie & Super Nova)Referee: Joey Marella Nova got in some early offense against Williams, but Williams recovered and tagged out. Nova tagged out as well and the match continued back and forth with both teams executing multiple tags. All three members of bWo absorbed a lot of punishment and survived as long as they could, but the result was basically inevitable as Williams pinned Richards after a second OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE.Bobby Fulton vs. B. Brian BlairReferee: Dick Woehrle Fulton dominated most of the match, but Blair countered with a quick offensive only to have Fulton roll through a sunset flip and make the pin himself. Fabulous Moolah vs. Beverly ShadeReferee: James Beard Moolah dominated the match, but Shade held tough, even throwing Moolah through a ringside table. Moolah wasn’t fazed and eventually pinned Shade with a BODY PRESS. (Gorilla Monsoon welcomes everyone to the program and introduces his broadcast partner Bobby Heenan. The two men discuss the huge program they have, including three title matches. Monsoon also announces all of the matches take place from the legendary Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan. Monsoon talks about the first match on the show, how it features the new LOW 6-Man Tag Team Champions and how they won the titles in Buffalo last week.) NON-TITLE MATCH LOW World 6-MAN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS Bruiser Brody, Stan Hansen & Jimmy Snuka vs. ‘Hot Stuff’ Eddie Gilbert, Doug Gilbert & Tommy RichReferee: Joey Marella Rich survived and early onslaught from Hansen that included a chair to come back and lock Hansen in the WILDFIRE SLEEPER. Hansen escaped and after another near fall, Rich tagged Doug. Doug also survived a steel chair, but ran into a LARIAT from an agitated Hansen and that was all she wrote as Hansen pinned Doug.(Heenan comments on if Doug’s wrestling boots were returned to him after Hansen knocked Doug clear out of his boots and into next week.) COMMERCIAL (Monsoon talks about how the next match is the first of their three title bouts. He also talks about Ric McCord’s winning streak and how it has earned him this match.) LOW WORLD JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH Ric McCord vs. LOW World Jr. Heavyweight Champion Ricky MortonReferee: Dick Woehrle McCord was all over Morton and the champ was on the ropes most of the match with McCord gaining numerous near falls. McCord pinned Morton with a FLYING BODY PRESS to win the title.COMMERCIAL (Monsoon welcomes everyone back and throws it to their broadcast colleague, Bill Apter, who is standing by with a special guest. Apter interviews Curt & Larry Hennig regarding an upcoming match against the Miracle Violence Connection. The Hennigs talk about how MVC likes to rough up their opponents, but the Hennigs can be plenty rough as well. Steve ‘Dr. Death’ Williams and Terry ‘Bamm Bamm’ Gordy appear and tell the Hennigs that they will be lucky not to be in the hospital after their upcoming match.) The Pitbulls w/Francine vs. Amazing French Canadians (Jacques Rougeau & Pierre Carl Oulette) w/Jimmy HartReferee: James Beard The Canadians isolated Pitbull #1 early on, but P1 absorbed the punishment and battled back. From there the match deteriorated into an all out slobberknocker. The brawl continued inside and outside the ring. Both Canadians were victims of the Doomsday Device outside of the ring. The Canadians got their licks in as well, gaining several near falls along the way. The end came in a wild exchange after Rougeau covered P1 after a double sledge. P2 and Oulette both entered the ring and as Beard was preoccupied with Oulette, P2 dropped an elbow on Rougeau and reversed the pin. Monsoon talks about what kind of talented competitor Jack Brisco is while Heenan mentions Jackie Fargo’s gang of thugs and how Brisco needs to be aware of where they’re lurking. LOW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH Jack Brisco vs. LOW World Heavyweight Champion Jackie FargoReferee: James Beard Fargo didn’t wait for the bell to ring as he attacked Brisco. Both men exchanged punches and Fargo briefly had the upper hand. Brisco managed to gain the advantage and that’s all she wrote. Fargo managed to escape the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK, but Brisco followed up with a ROLLING REVERSE CRADLE to make the pin and win the title.(Post-match: Brisco celebrated his victory only to be attacked by The RoughHouse Gang. All four men worked Brisco over with several devastating moves as well as a steel chair. Fargo even spat on the new champion as he led his gang away once officials ran them off.)
