- chapter nine - The next day at the performance center I see Pulsar working with a couple of new students. I immediately head over to voice my displeasure.
"Are you kidding me? Vigilante? That's your 'friend' who we can trust ? Are you out of your damn mind?"
He excuses himself from the side headlock that's happening in front of him and we walk outside.
"Vigilante wants to help, I don't see what the problem is." Pulsar is his usual calm self. I wish his demeanor was rubbing off on me but I was getting even more heated.
"The problem is he's a scum sucking traitor. How can we even trust him?"
"He's apologized for his past actions and is trying to make amends.This is personal for him as well, being from Cetus just like Blue Chip and all." Pulsar says.
"And you forgive him? Just like that?" I knew I sounded condescending but I couldn't help it.
"Yes. If I held a grudge against everyone in this business who turned their on me I'd talk to maybe two people. Besides at my age it's not worth it to stay angry, life is too short." I thought about what he said and begrudgingly nodded that I understood.
"So what did he say? Any suspects he have in mind?" asks Pulsar.
"Yeah, and I admit, he was on my short list. I guess we can bump him to the top - former FTR star Disciple of Terror." |

FTR Elevation (9)
Maffei II, The Launching Pad
Astarte comes to the ring to polite applause from the crowd. He starts in on Capt. Crossbones being the biggest villain in FTR. Astarte says he's here to rid the FTR of evil and take the company into the future!
Fans again politely clap, still upset that Pardon got screwed out of his title last Elevation. Astarte's music hits and he starts to pose as pyro goes off in the Launching Pad.
Mass vs. T.A
(Winner remains at ringside for the next match)
T.A wins the match with a Max Power Slam. Mass heads to the back while T.A gets to be in the corner for the up coming match
Sonny has a pep in his step before his match begins. He grabs a mic and excitedly informs Uranus that his team of Eugenics rejects will meet the Rocket Men in an Ultimate Escape Match at the next special!
Sonny Rocket & Axe vs. Uranus & Crust
NO CONTEST
A decent match between two unusual teams ends in the craziest of ways! Mid match, cameras cut from the ring to the back where Pardon pulls up in a Hover Pick-Up! Hedrives right up to the Gorilla position, grabs a chair out of the truck bed, then heads out to the ring. T.A goes to stop him but takes a huge chair shot to the head. Pardon climbs in the ring nailing Uranus first, then Electric Axe. Crust tries his hand but eats steel too. Sonny tries to flee but Pardon grabs him by his mullet and hits FUTURE ENDEAVORS! Pardon slaps cuffs on Rocket and drags him out through the crowd. Astarte and security try following him but are blocked by The Cult! Pardon tosses Sonny in the back of the pick-up and peels out of The Launching Pad.
After a brief break...
Order is restored after a brief intermission. Astarte divides Mad Maxus and security into search and rescue teams and they're off. .Quest passes by an annoyed Astarte who shouts out to him. "Shouldn't you be investigating this?! Isn't this what you do?!"
Quest continues walking offering a smirk and a word. "Nope."
Quest vs. Vacant
Quest wins in a squash with a gut punch. He grabs a mic and says a few of his prime suspects appear to be busy for the next special so he's calling out an old face he has some questions for.
"If you can make some time in your busy schedule, Disciple of Terror, I'd love to chat!"
The Rocket Men and security get a hot tip about where Pardon has taken Rocket. They rush to their Land Cruisers and take off, security in tow. As soon as they rush out the parking lot the pick up truck pulls slowly back in...
FTR TAG TITLE MATCH
King Tux & Cephalopodis vs. Mayham & Chameleon
The tag champions successfully defend the tag titles when King Tux pins Mayham after a BELLY FLOP.
The Fate of Rocket...
Following the main event the Holo-tron shows us the Commissioner's office where Pardon is standing next to Rocket's desk.
Pardon - I've had a chance to have a one on one conversation with our Commissioner and he feels terrible about how last weeks title bout went down. Ain't that right Rocket? Oh sorry."
Pardon violently turns Sonny Rocket's chair around to show the commissioner beaten and bruised, black eyes and bloody nose.
Pardon - He's decided to give me a chance to get another title match next week? Ain't that right?
Pardon smacks Rocket in the head and Sonny blindly nods.
Pardon - Here's the contract...sign it!
Sonny tries to pick up a pen but can't due to several broke fingers. He finally manages to and signs the paper!
Pardon - It's official, next Elevation me vs. Astarte winner goes on to face Crossbones at Catch A Fade for the FTR title! Oh and Rocket, don't bother to press charges or get out of this, it's all taken care of in that piece of paper you just signed!
I'll see you next Elevation, Astarte!

- chapter ten -
I spend the gap between shows strategizing with Vigilante over my next move with Disciple of Terror. I'm made aware several times that it's an unwritten law in wrestling that any challenge that's made or attack that happens on one show can only be addressed the following show.
"Wrestlers, for the most part, are insecure spotlight hogs, who constantly need attention." Vigilante says. "DOT will respond in some form at the next Elevation, so keep your head on a swivel."
I have to admit, Pulsar was right. Vigilante isn't that bad of a guy. I've learned a lot from him these last couple of weeks, mostly about wrestling but some insight to his days as a GalactiCop as well. His intell into how Cygnusians fight is pretty solid as well.
We talk more about some of my other suspects, mainly Johnny Rocket and his boy Sonny.
"I've watched him pretty closely whenever I'm in the Launching Pad, he seems the kind of person to step over anyone to get to the top, even a dead body, but I don't think he would kill for it. Still..." I trail off as I think about the Commissioner. Vigilante brings me back.
"Well, you should keep an eye on the Rocket Men. I agree, they might not necessarily had anything to do with Blue Chip, but I'm sure you didn't endear yourself to them by refusing to help look for Rocket." |

Maffei II, The Launching Pad
Highlights show us how we got our main event tonight. We then go to FTR champion Capt Crossbones who is just outside of Maffei II airspace on his pirate ship. In the Captain's Quarters the champion watches the action on a huge Holoscreen. Without taking his eyes off the HDHV he says it doesn't matter who wins tonight, they'll end up in a Deep Space Locker!
Moonlight vs. Mayham
An impressive victory for Moonlight who wins with a Khan Nerve Pinch.
In a neck brace and arm sling, Sonny Rocket watches from his office, seething. "I know she had something to do with it I know it!" He pounds a fist on his desk then screams in pain as all his fingers are bandaged too. "She'll pay, just like Pardon!"
Mayham walks past King Tux who is doubled over laughing at Mayham's latest embarrassment. "I've had it with you! We demand another shot! You pick the stipulations, I don't care!"
King Tux shoots him down! "You don't deserve another shot! Besides, we already have a six man tag match booked at Catch a Fade! Someone wanted to get their hands on you as much as we do, who are we to deny someone their wish? Think you'll be able to find someone foolish enough to want to be your partner?"
Swerve vs. Uranus
Five moves is all it takes for Swerve to defeat Uranus who falls to a TITAN DROP.
Disciple of Terror appears on the FTR-TRN to huge pops.
D.O.T - I hear my name is on the lips of people in my old stomping ground! I hear I've been called out! This disrespect will not go unpunished! I'll be at Catch a Fade and Quest we are going to throw down! There just may be another body added to the list of dead!
T.A vs. Crust
Crust gets the upset win with Eugenics Projectile.
T.A had the match nearly won with Awesome Finisher until Mass pulled him out of the ring and clocked him with his nub. The Axe attack on Mass was too little too late as Crust wins.
Astarte vs. Pardon
Pardon gets the victory!
Astarte was in control the majority of the match and most likely would have won if not for a Cult member jumping into the ring and causing a huge distraction. A desperate ear slap led to Pardon biting Astarte in the face. A CENTAURUS CRUCIFIX led to FUTURE ENDEVORS and Pardon steals one! The Cult goes nuts as Pardon grabs a mic and challenges Crossbones to a Brymstone Burning match!

MILKY WAY FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE
SWERVE vs. VACANT
Squash!
Swerve takes care of business! Vacant takes incredible punishment getting powerslammed through an Andromeda Jungle Cruiser, suplexed from the ring apron into the crowd, and finally Tomb-stoned on the ringside steps to get the win. After the match, Swerve didn't look happy or relived with the win, more upset about the lengths he went. MURTAK, MAYHAM & CHAMELEON vs. KING TUX, CEPHALOPODIS & FALLER
Squash! Faller makes short work of Murtak. Chameleon gets on the mic and demands the match be made into a Survivor match. Arctic Empire and Faller gladly accept! Mayham gets torn apart by the tag champs and is pinned by Cephalopodis. Chameleon hurls some threats towards the ring as she takes the count out loss. Faller and Arctic Empire celebrate their easy victory. DISCIPLE OF TERROR vs. QUEST
Quest wins with a Running Body Block (3.5) Brutal match where Quest yelled at Disciple to confess his involvement in Blue Chip's disappearance. A back and forth fight with Quest coming out on top but the bell would not be the end! As Quest celebrates and trash talks into the nearest Flying VidMon, DOT recovers and attacks Quest from behind hitting Dreadnaught three times on a steel chair! Quest refused help to the back but fell several times in the aisle on his way to the curtain. Sonny Rocket comes to the ring still in a neck brace and sling. He breaks the news that he isn't cleared to fight tonight which draws more than a few boos. He announces that Astarte will take his place in the Ultimate Escape Match! Uranus interrupts crying foul saying he should get a substitute as well! Rocket looks him up and down saying you look perfectly healthy to me so NO!
ULTIMATE ESCAPE MATCH
ASTARTE & MAD MAXUS vs. URANUS & EUGENICS PROJECT
ELIMINATIONS - Mass walks out against Axe (Astarte and T.A tried to stop him to no avail) Uranus pins Axe after SON OF JANUS Crust completes the sweep with EUGENICS PROJECT on Axe! Fans boo the Rocket Men as Sonny and Astarte (who never got into the ring legally) are completely embarrassed while T.A checks on his partner. BRYMESTONE BURNING
FTR CHAMPIONSHIP
CAPT. CROSSBONES vs. PARDON
Crossbones wins with DEATH IN SPACE Not even his cult could get him a win in his signature match. Barbwire comes into play only once as Pardon climbed back into the ring after a brawl on the outside. Out of desperation, Crossbones (still outside the ring) grabs Pardon by the legs and pulls "posting" Pardon on the barbwire! Fans feel his pain but the challenger never recovers and falls to DEATH IN SPACE. Fans are not happy. Two squashes to start the night and hardly any blood in the Main Event lead to boos and trash thrown in the ring. |

I'm advising my creation (breaking the 4th wall) DISCIPLE OF TERROR to hire the greatest attorney in the Galaxy - Justin Case !!! The FTR needs to be sued for these false accusations and defamation of character.  |

The FTR needs to be sued for these false accusations and defamation of character. Although innocent until proven guilty, his actions at Catch a Fade don't help his cause! If anyone can get him off though, it would be Justin Case. Thanks for checking in! |

Just got caught up. Amazing stuff. Man, I miss FTR. Same here. I had to take a break from playing everything to play taxi to my kids but with sports winding down I'm trying to ramp it back up again. I figure posting some of my FTR cards would get the mojo going again and I was right, I'm ready to go! I'm going to post more now that I have spome more time, thanks for checking things out! |

My bell was rung. I was knocked silly. I had my clock cleaned. He's seeing stars. He got dinged. He got popped hard.
I heard them all after my encounter with Disciple of Terror. The thing I heard the most was I was on the shelf for the next two shows. I'm sure that makes the FTR roster breathe a little easier. Enjoy it. When I'm cleared, I'm coming guns blazing. No more dicking around, it's time to find the perp. I'm going to put this on hold too. I have to train harder, can't let the little things get in the way. Besides, every key that hits the paper sounds like my head hitting that chair. I'm going to lie down. |
