Maffei II, The Launching Pad
Commissioner Rocket (sans sling but still in neck brace) runs down the injury report. He quickly glosses over Quest's concussion saying he'll be fine in two shows time. He goes into vivid detail of Pardon's groin injury at the hands of Crossbones and the barbed wire showing replays of the moment and close ups of the pained look on Pardon's face. He ends it with a "What goes around comes around."
Moonlight 's music hits and she's on her way to the ring. She tells Rocket (via Holotron) that she has had enough.
"You wouldn't have the balls to do this if Pardon was here!"
Rocket laughs.
"Funny choice of words seeing as your boyfriend doesn't have them anymore period! It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy! It is a shame Pardon isn't here, he could back you up in your fight. Someone has requested a rematch with you! He'd probably stop you from being blindsided right now!"
Moonlight had no time to react as she's clobbered from behind by an angry Mayham!
MOONLIGHT vs. MAYHAM
Moonlight wins!
Despite having the jump, Mayham comes up short against Moonlight who finishes the job with MONGOLIAN HORDE. (1.5)
From his intergalactic pirate ship Crossbones cuts a promo on Pardon in front of a Pardon dummy hanging from the main mast. He opens a treasure chest filled with doubloons and the FTR title. He invites all to try their luck and take it from him!
URANUS vs. ASTARTE
Astarte wins!
Astarte gets a modicum of revenge by squashing Uranus, ending it with GREATNESS DAWNS. After the match, Astarte grabs a mic and says he's coming after Crossbones and the FTR title!
SWERVE vs. DISCIPLE OF TERROR
Swerve wins via DQ (2.5)
Swerve requested this match after the heinus actions of D.O.T at Catch A Fade. He looks on his way to victory when Murtak jumps in the ring and attacks him with his flagpole causing the Disqualification.
FTR TAG CHAMPIONSHIP
KING TUX & CEPHALOPODIS vs. EUGENICS PROJECT
The champions retain! (3.75)
King Tux hits Crust with a BELLY FLOP to get the win and keep the Cinderella run going for Arctic Empire!

I'm advising my creation (breaking the 4th wall) DISCIPLE OF TERROR to hire the greatest attorney in the Galaxy - Justin Case !!! The FTR needs to be sued for these false accusations and defamation of character.  Although innocent until proven guilty, his actions at Catch a Fade don't help his cause! Maffei II, The Launching Pad
Sonny Rocket once again starts the show, this time already in the ring. Again, he talks about karma and shows the Pardon injury. The Cult in attendance boo and throw things at Sonny who no sells it completely. Rocket pivots to the number one contender Astarte who comes out to polite applause. Before he can speak Moonlight comes out and challenges him to a match!
"Between the two of us, I've won more matches lately, I should be the number one contender! You're only it because your manager is also the commissioner!"
Rocket tries to downplay what Moonlight says but it struck a chord with Astarte who is hot and accepts! He tells Sonny to book the match tonight. "I don't want doubt in anyone's mind who the best is!"
MAD MAXUS vs. MAYHAM & CHAMELEON
Mad Maxus bounce back with a win when Chameleon taps in the Soundwave Spin (2)
Mayham actually gets off to a surprisingly good start but things go south once Chameleon tags in.
CROSSBONES vs. KING TUX
Capt. Crossbones defeats King Tux in a non-title match with a Plunder Kick (3.5)
The champ underestimates King Tux and nearly pays for it. Tux survives two BLACK SAILS before falling to the Plunder Kick.
Earlier in the week at the FTR Performance Center...
Sonny Rocket spots Swerve working out at the PC, decides to throw on his reporter cap, and ask the Titan about his involvement with the Space Powers. Swerve condemns the attack by Murtak and challenges him at Elevation!
"You robbed the fans and me of seeing Disciple get his comeuppance. While you certainly aren't as big a fish as DOT, I'm sure the fans would enjoy watching you get yours!"
SWERVE vs. MURTAK
Murtak wins! (1)
Disciple of Terror knocks out Swerve with a brass knuckle punch to the jaw outside the ring. He picks up the dead weight that is Swerve, rolls him back in the ring for Murtak to hit CONQUEROR'S FLAG.
An independent film crew along with the help of the FTR Backstage Team set out on a journey to find the missing Vacant. After receiving a hot tip saying he returned home after his loss at Catch A Fade, they travel to the jungles of Neptune looking for the wayward star. Deep in the jungle they catch a climpse of something swinging through the trees! "Follow it!" the director shouts as they all head after the creature.

NUMBER ONE CONTENDER
ASTARTE vs. MOONLIGHT
Astarte wins! (4)
The Rocket Man barely gets the win as Moonlight continues to improve. Sonny Rocket had to interfere at one point, pulling Moonlight out of the ring and hitting her with his mic. Astarte hits a +2 GREATNESS DAWNS to get the W and secure his spot as number one contender.

Mafei II, The Launching Pad
Astarte hits the ring with pep in his step. He tells The Launching Pad he's going into Dead Man's Chest as number one contender, and nobody is taking that away from him this time. He says it's a certainty that he is leaving with the FTR title. "Finally, you'll have a champion you can be proud of!"
Capt. Crossbones interrupts Astarte on the Holotron from his intergalactic pirate ship, still hovering above Mafei II airspace.
Crossbones -'Tsk' 'tsk' 'tsk' Astarte, me boy, you barely got past Moonlight and you think you have a chance to beat me? I'll have you walking the plank in no time at all and be back to plundering the galaxy for all its treasure! This will be my easiest challenge yet!
Astarte starts to rebuke the champion, but Crossbones cuts the feed to his ship, leaving Astarte visibly upset and embarrassed in the ring.
CEPHALOPODIS vs. MAYHAM
Mayham wins! (2.25)
Mayham can't believe it. The fans can't believe it either. Mayham hits BACON BITS 4 separate times in the match, the last one doing the job. Mayham goes overboard celebrating his first pin fall victory.
The camera crew continue their search in the jungles of Neptune for Vacant. They come across several rotting carcasses and what appears to be a fresh kill of a creature. The crew slowly approach the creature to film it for b roll, all the while never noticing the eyes stalking them from the brush a few yards away...

NUMBER ONE CONTENDER
MAD MAXUS vs. EUGENICS PROJECT
Mad Maxus win! (Squash!)
Crust convinces Mass to let him start the match with T.A. Big mistake. Mass doesn't move a muscle as Crust is walloped and put down with MAXUS ATTACKS US.
A huge deal is made of Sonny Rocket's return to action. A video package is shown of Sonny's kidnapping and 'heroic" efforts to comeback. The narrator manages to get a dig in on Pardon as well, noting how long his groin injury recovery has taken.
SONNY ROCKET vs. URANUS
Rocket wins! (3)
Sonny's comeback is nearly spoiled! Uranus gets off to a hell of a start almost getting the upset with SON OF JANUS. Rocket gets his footing and tries to end it with Rocket Launcher when Pardon's music hits! Rocket shoots up looking wildly at the entrance, but Moonlight strolls out instead. Rocket nearly losses to a roll up but course corrects and wins with ROCKET LAUNCHER.
The damage to his ego is severe as Uranus kicks out of two big moves and actually gets cheered!
HANDICAPPED MATCH
SWERVE vs. SPACE POWERS
Swerve wins! (2)
Swerve wins by pinning Murtak after a TITAN DROP, knocking Terror off the apron with a dropkick before making the pin. His celebration would be brief because before his hand can be raised Disciple of Terror is all over him with Murtak joining in when he comes back around.
As the beatdown continues, Quest's music hits and the man returns! He jumps in the ring and goes right after D.O.T!
Swerve gets some strength back and attacks Murtak. Both men take out the Space Powers on opposite sides of the ring.
Swerve turns to thank Quest, but he's quickly tagged with DNA Sample and goes down hard!
Quest looks down on Swerve for a moment, turns and walks away!

Outside the Launching Pad...
Crossbones has landed his Intergalactic Pirate Ship in the landing/parking area of the Launching Pad! He taunts fans who have gathered around the ship before cutting a promo on Astarte and how he has a better chance of finding buried treasure than he does taking the title off of him.
KING TUX vs. ELECTRIC AXE
Axe wins! (2)
Old wounds resurfaced in this rivalry renewed. Both men brawl outside the ring prompting Pardon's Cult to chant "This is awesome!" Axe puts the penguin away with Crowd surfing and keeps Mad Maxus hot going into Dead Man's Chest.
The Fate of the Camera Crew
The last video arrives from the crew on Neptune. What was seen was disturbing to say the least. A shaky video of a lone crew member running through the jungle as screams are heard in the distance. The crew member stops to digitally send the video along with an S.O.S call when they go down hard. The Camera is picked up and we see a wild-eyed bearded Vacant! He examines the camera, snarls, screams and destroys it.
Note - The updated card for Vacant will be used going forward.
ASTARTE vs. CRUST
Astarte wins a tune up match with GREATNESS DAWNS (1.5)
Although a pretty decisive victory, Crossbones appears on the Holo-Tron to heckle Astarte that Crust kicked out of his finisher twice. "This will be even easier than I expected!"
In a backstage interview, Uranus drops a bombshell announcing his newest signee will debut at Dead Man's Chest! He hypes up his new man as the best pure athlete the FTR has ever seen. Mayham interrupts the gushing of The Overmatched to hand him an invitation to the celebration of his first pinfall victory, also taking place at Dead Man's Chest!
SPACE POWERS vs. SWERVE & QUEST
Swerve & Quest manage to put aside their differences to get the win! (2.75)
Although a fan of Swerve, Sonny Rocket couldn't turn down an opportunity to make Quest's life a little more difficult, hence this match.
Quest gets the pin on D.O.T after a Running Body Check that catches the Cygnusian by surprise. Swerve makes sure to pay back Quest for his actions last Elevation by catching Quest off guard with a TITAN DROP.
Sonny Rocket is out next demanding Moonlight come to the ring. He blames her for nearly ruining his comeback. She retorts he didn't need any help ruining it at all, he took care of it on his own. The Cult mock Rocket who is red with anger. Moonlight tells Sonny that Pardon is coming for Rocket at D.M.C. Rocket says he has it under good authority Pardon won't be cleared by then. He pauses then says, "but you're cleared tonight." Before she can react, he spikes her with his mic then calls for the bell.
SONNY ROCKET vs. MOONLIGHT
Sonny wins in three moves with a ROCKET LAUNCHER
Blood pours from Moonlights head but Sonny doesn't care. A big kick in the corner, springboard forearm and Rocket Launcher end it.
Astarte takes exception to Crossbones comments and heads out to the parking lot to confront the FTR champ! The two men jaw-jack back and forth before Crossbones challenges Astarte to do something about it. Astarte takes him up on it and climbs aboard!
Both men go at it throwing fists aboard the ship until Astarte catches a charging Crossbones with a Rocket Booster that send the champ overboard and crashing down on the roof of a light speed cruiser! Astarte grabs the FTR title out of the chest and holds it high as the fans in the parking lot give Astarte the biggest reaction he's gotten to date!

This was a very bad string of matches for Disciple of Terror, I believe this may be the last match I rolled using his first card, I'll have to check the notes. I mean, look at that face, Swerve could NEVER be the culprit...could he??? Thanks for checking things out, Dead Man's Chest is next, hoping to post it tonight or tomorrow! |

DISCIPLE OF TERROR vs. SWERVE vs. QUEST
Disciple of Terror wins! (3.75) Swerve looks unbeatable throughout the match and on his way to victory when Vacant returns looking more savage than ever! He attacks Swerve and fights with him through the crowd bloodying the Titan good and taking him out of the match. Terror takes advantage of the situation clocking Quest with brass knuckles knocking him out. Disciple hits Atomic Warhead for good measure and gets the win. CELEBRATION!
Mayham and Chameleon come out for his big celebration of his first pinfall victory. Chameleon stands with one green balloon while Mayham goes on and on about his win. He has the production team replay the clip of him winning then chides everyone for not showing up to his party. He asks for the clip one more time when Uranus and Eugenics interrupt.
Uranus - I'm not here to celebrate you, Pig. You interrupted my interview at Elevation, I'm here to return the favor. Mayham, you are about to go down in history as the first victim of the newest member of The Stable....STALLION!
STALLION vs. MAYHAM
Stallion wins! (Squash!) The newest signee of Uranus shows off for a few minutes before ending it with LUCKY HORSESHOE. After the match Uranus climbs in the ring to cut a promo but Stallion grabs his mic. Stallion - The FTR is on notice! Stallion is here and along with The Overmen by my side we're taking over this fed! Now if you excuse me, I have to go meet my partners, outta my way pipsqueak! Stallion pushes past Uranus as Stallion goes searching for the Sons of Janus. Sonny Rocket comes out to huge chants for Pardon. He eggs them on then laughs them off.
Rocket - Sorry to disappoint but Pardon won't be making good on his promise after all. He's letting you down again, just like he did at Catch A Fade!
Moonlight appears on the Holo-Tron but says nothing. A doctor walks into frame and hands her a tablet.
Moonlight - I hold in my hand an official record of clearance for Pardon, as of this morning. Sorry for the theatrics, Rocket but you know how he likes to make an entrance!
Pardon's music hits and he makes his way through the crowd! Sonny can't believe it!
SONNY ROCKET vs. PARDON
Pardon wins! (3) Sonny survives the early onslaught of Pardon to make this a really good match. Rocket doesn't have enough in the tank to finish the job and goes down to a CENTAURUS CRUCIFIX. Pardon celebrates his comeback win with the Cult in the crowd. FTR TAG TITLES
KING TUX & CEPHALOPODIS vs. MAD MAXUS
Mad Maxus wins the FTR Tag Titles! (3.25) Sonny Rocket manages to limp down to the ring halfway through the match distracting King Tux. Meanwhile, T.A executes a catapult on Cephalopodis right into Axe and his guitar! Axe tags in who immediately uses the Axe Grinder (forearm "chainsaw") and Cephalopodis taps! FTR HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
CAPT. CROSSBONES vs. ASTARTE
Astarte wins the FTR Title! (2.5) Astarte hits a huge (4) GREATNESS DAWNS and gets the win! New FTR Champion! Rocket and Mad Maxus make their way out to celebrate as The Rocket Men now hold all the gold! Crossbones comes to and tries to attack Astarte, but the numbers are against him. The Rocket Men beat Crossbones down then put him into a treasure chest that had been there for decoration and lock it! Mad Maxus carry the chest out to Crossbones' pirate ship and throw it on board. Astarte hits a few buttons on the control panel then hops off as the ship sails off into deep space! |

Maffei II, The Launching Pad
Sonny Rocket stands in the ring a proud man. Not even the taunts of The Cult can ruin this moment. He is about to introduce his team, and they hold all the gold. First out is Mad Maxus - Axe holds the belt in one hand, broken electric guitar in the other. T.A. blares the same song New Order used as a theme when they won their first tag title from his Speaker-Pads. New FTR champion Astarte is next, and he truly looks made for this moment.
Rocket hypes his team until Pardon's music hits. Standing in The Cult, Pardon is handed a mic.
Pardon -Holding a win over Astarte pretty much guarantees me a FTR title shot sooner than later. (The crowd goes wild and Rocket looks worried) But not yet. See I'm going to take everything The Rocket Men have, and I'm starting with those!
Pardon points to the FTR Tag titles!
Pardon- I want the tag titles
Moonlight- Actually, WE want the tag titles!
Pardon & Moonlight start to make their way through the crowd and to the ring but security flood the area between the guardrail and the apron. The Rocket Men and security are so focused on Pardon and Moonlight they fail to see the 7ft Cephalopodis step over the top rope and double choke slam Mad Maxus as a caught off guard Astarte bails from the ring!
CEPHALOPODIS vs. SONNY ROCKET
Sonny Rocket wins! (2.5)
The losing streak of Cephalopdis continues. Sonny survives the ordeal winning after back-to-back frog splashes.
Stallion stands waiting by the loading dock. A backstage reporter sees him and runs up for an interview. They ask Stallions a bevy of questions, most notably, what are you doing standing here?
Stallion informs them he is waiting to meet The Overmen and this is the exact spot they told him they'd be. He says his search at Dead Man's Chest came up short but the Sons of Janus will be here and domination is imminent.
The reporter tries to break the news to Stallion about Uranus being the only "Overman" here, but Stallion has long stopped paying attention.
VACANT vs. KING TUX
King Tux wins by disqualification.
Vacant goes too far outside the ring tossing everything he can find on top of Tux.
Stallion is shown still waiting impatiently for "The Overmen".
Meanwhile, Mass gets a Com-Call on his way to the ring.
Uranus - MASS! MASS! ARE YOU LISTENING?! I NEED YOU TO RUN TO STALLION AND TELL HIM I'M STUCK IN TRAFFIC I'LL BE THERE SOON!
Mass - Match now. Goodbye!
PARDON & MOONLIGHT vs. EUGENICS PROJECT
Pardon & Moonlight win!
Pardon & Moonlight look incredible teaming for the first time. A springboard facebuster does the job on Crust.
Uranus, sweaty and red as a beet, catches up with Stallion who was finally leaving the loading dock area. Trying to catch his breath, he grabs the Pegasusian by the arm.
Uranus- Sta', Sta', Stallion! ('heavy breathing') I'm Ur-
Stallion - "I'm ur liaison for The Overmen" or something, ha-ha I get it! Hazing the new guy. Do not worry, you let them know I will prove my worth to them next Elevation!
Stallion walks off with a purpose as Uranus catches his breath.
CYGNUS BRASS KNUCKLES
DISCIPLE OF TERROR vs. QUEST
Quest wins! (4)
A knock down drag-out bloody brawl between two of the best in FTR today.
D.O.T masters the match but Quest uses his fighting and boxing past to help him gain victory with DNA Sample.
After the match both men are spent. On the mat in the middle of the ring next to each other they lay.
Disciple -You know it wasn't me, right? I didn't do it. I'd rather beat his ass in the ring.
Quest chuckles then coughs up blood.
Quest - You're cleared. We might do this again for the hell of it. But as far as I'm concerned Disciple of Terror is no longer a suspect.

Awesome stuff. I loved using Quest. Great to see him doing his detective work in other corners of the galaxy.
