I kinda want to try this now, except with the GWFZ wrestlers, since those have a massive roster of guys to use. Yes having a larger roster would help especially come the draft. As you may have noticed, my drafts tend to have some of the same wrestlers in there to give a bigger pool to pull from. The thing is I have been wanting to try something like this for awhile but one of the things that kept me was the amount of matches I would have to roll. It was when I decided to dip into the online card pool that I decided to do this as I can roll out matches real fast there. Plus it keeps me from being tempted to influence the matches as they happen. If I was doing this with physical cards I would have a much larger pool to use for the draft and could probably create way more teams but it would take a lot of time to roll out all the games. Right now, for me, I have a nice balance of size and speed. You should give it a go. It is a fun and different way to use the cards and it keeps things fresh. If you do start your own league like this let me know. I'd love to check out the results.

WWL Spring 90
Week 4
Glasgow Rangers (2-1) @ Rome Empire (0-3)
(O) Terak (R) beat Mad Jester (G) when Jester crashed into the turnbuckle and was rolled up. Time: 2:20. Fatigue: none (MC) Antimatter (R) beat Comrade Terror (G) with a reversal of a sunset flip attempt. Time: 8:45. Fatigue: Comrade Terror-2, Antimatter-1 (ME) Whiplash (R) beat King Lear (G) with an Executioner's Clothesline. Time: 6:55. Fatigue: King Lear-2, Whiplash-1
Winner: Rome 3-0
Injuries: None
NOTES: With Tongsoon suspended for this game everyone moved up in the order and Terak made his season debut. It might have been what the doctor ordered. --- Terak got Rome off to a good start with a quick win. --- Comrade Terror was upset that he was moved from Main Event to Mid-Card. Losing does not help his case. With Antimatter getting the win Rome has their first game win of the season. --- Whiplash completed the sweep for Rome. This might kill the talk of Rome tanking in an attempt to assure they have the top pick in the Fall 90 draft. --- On the other side of the equation, Glasgow who started the season hot is falling back to reality quickly.
Chicago Muscle (2-1) @ New York Titans (0-3)
(O) Cannibal (C) beat Spike (NY) with Throat Slit. Time: 4:01. Fatigue: Cannibal-1 (MC) Dragonmaster (NY) beat Massif (C) with Dragon Drop. Time: 14:15. Fatigue: Massif-2 (ME) Bounty Hunter (C) beat Galactic Punisher (NY) via DQ. Time: 4:26. Fatigue: Bounty Hunter-1, Galactic Punisher-1
Winner: Chicago 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: The fall from the top continues for New York. --- Spike was moved to the Opening match in the hopes that a win would spark him to getting on a roll. Unfortunately, he just lost again. --- Dragonmaster, the one bright spot for New York this season continues to roll. --- While most of the attention of New York's failures is put on Spike, it needs to be pointed out that the reigning MVP has struggled this season as well. He falls to 0-4 this season. --- There has been a lot of chatter on the New York sports radio scene about Spike needing The Cleansing. While some point to Massacre as why he needs it, others say it won't help and point to Brute. Time will tell who is right.
Mexico City Fire (0-3) @ Las Vegas Aces (2-1)
(O) Soldier of Fortune (MC) beat Pulsar (LV) with The Revenger. Time: 9:54. Fatigue: Solider of Fortune-2, Pulsar-3 (MC) Exo-King (LV) beat Brute (MC) with a clothesline off the top rope. Time: 8:37. Fatigue: Brute-2 (ME) Thantos (LV) beat Actagon (MC) with Masterlock. Time: 22:40. Fatigue: Actagon-2, Thantos-3
Winner: Las Vegas 2-1
Injuries: Pulsar has a light injury but should be fine. Thantos has a mild injury but will be good to go.
NOTES: Exo-King almost won with Death Vise. He got tired of waiting and released the hold, went to the top rope and hit the clothesline to finish Brute off. --- The Main Event had it all. Move and counter moves. Brawling on the floor. Risk taking with high flying moves. Actagon lost but it was another great performance by him. He might be better suited for the Mid-Card but till Mexico City has someone to take over the Main Event spot it is his.
Paris Legion (2-1) @ Frankfurt Knights (1-2)
(O) Justice (P) beat Pit Viper (F) with a reverse piledriver. Time: 12:47. Fatigue: Justice-4, Pit Viper-2 (MC) Matador of M83 (F) beat Mayhem (P) via DQ. Time: 8:57. Fatigue: Mayhem-1, Matador-1 (ME) Massacre (P) beat Wolf (F) with The Cleansing. Time: 16:08. Fatigue: Massacre-2, Wolf-2
Winner: Paris 2-1
Injuries: Justice has a mild injury but will be ok.
NOTES: Pit Viper was a bit hobbled in the Opening match but he took the fight to Justice. He just could not put him away. --- Paris moved Mayhem back to the Mid-Card in the hopes he could pick up a win and snap his losing streak. But he will never win if he keeps getting himself disqualified. Matador of M83 was dealing with an injury too but got lucky thanks to Mayhem leaving the ring, Matador went after him and Mayhem lost his cool again. --- With the game tied up at 1-1, the Wolf Pack was loud and rowdy. Unfortunately, their man came up short in the Main Event. The defending European Conference champions continue to struggle.
Barcelona Conquistadors (1-2) @ London Red Coats (3-0)
(O) Sectarian (B) beat Incredible Badger (L) with Simian Stunner. Time: 12:40. Fatigue: Sectarian-2, Incredible Badger-2 (MC) Lance At-Las (L) beat Lord Nexus (B) via DQ. Time: 15:39. Fatigue: Lord Nexus-3, Lance At-Las-1 (ME) Star Warrior (L) beat Iron Mane (B) with Nova Launch. Time: 4:29. Fatigue: Iron Mane-2, Star Warrior-1
Winner: London 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: Sectarian picked up an upset win in the Opening match. Barcelona could not build on that to get a win. --- Lord Nexus came into the match a bit banged up. Perhaps it was the pain or the frustration of not being able to put Lance away but he snapped on the floor and gave Lance a Titan Drop thru the time keepers table. --- With the game knotted up, Star Warrior made sure to get the win in his match so London would get the win and stay undefeated. They have an impressive 10-2 match record so far on the season.
Highlight Match of the Week.
Los Angeles Stars (3-0) @ Toronto Juggernauts (2-1)
(O) Invincible Krakan (LA) beat Matter (T) with Falling Face Slam. Time: 16:23. Fatigue: Invincible Krakan-1, Matter-3 (MC) Splatter (LA) beat Dreadnaught (T) with Hatchet Job. Time: 3:48. Fatigue: Dreadnaught-3 (ME) Bishop Hell (LA) beat Battering Ram (T) via DQ. Time: 5:49. Fatigue: Bishop Hell-3
Winner: Los Angeles 3-0
Injuries: Dreadnaught has a mild injury but looks to be ok going forward. Bishop Hell has a light injury and looks to be able to go next week.
NOTES: Krakan did what he does, got LA off to a quick start. It took a while but the win put them in the driver's seat. --- The rookie Dreadnaught came in with his ribs taped up. Splatter took advantage of that and jumped on him from the opening bell. He hit Hatchet Job but only got a two. He hit the finisher a second time and got the win for him and LA. It was Dreadnaught's first loss in WWL. --- Maybe it was knowing his team had already lost or maybe he was getting tired of not beating Bishop Hell but Battering Ram tossed Hell out of the ring a couple times. The second time he went out and grabbed a chair and used it on Hell to end the match. --- Another expansion team coming back to reality. They were hoping to beat LA in this match of the top two teams in the standing in the North American Conference but LA shut them out. Right now, it looks like we could be headed toward a Los Angeles vs London WWL Cup.
North American Conference Record (match results)
Los Angeles Stars 4-0 (9-3) Chicago Muscle 3-1 (8-4) Las Vegas Aces 3-1 (7-5) Toronto Juggernauts 2-2 (7-5) New York Titans 0-4 (3-9) Mexico City Fire 0-4 (2-10)
European Conference
London Red Coats 4-0 (10-2) Paris Legion 3-1 (7-5) Glasgow Rangers 2-2 (5-7) Frankfurt Knights 1-3 (6-6) Barcelona Conquistadors 1-3 (4-8) Rome Empire 1-3 (4-8)

ESPN Space Breaking News
WWL BREAKING NEWS
Howard Berman: There has been a trade in the WWL. This is the first trade to happen during the season. The Las Vegas Aces have sent Billy Jo Boxer and their 2nd round pick in the Spring 91 draft to Barcelona to acquire Commander Sam. The trade helps Las Vegas by beefing up their bench a bit while saving $10K this season. For the Conquistadors it is about getting rid of a wrestler that they seemed to have no need for, getting a younger wrestler and picking up some draft capital. Aces captain Thantos released this announcement.
Thantos: This trade today is about increasing our chances of making the playoffs and eventually winning the WWL Cup. Exo-King and I have the top two spots on lock and are doing a fine job of dominating our competition. Acquiring Sam, who was simply rotting away on the bench, gives our bench some better depth and I believe that Pulsar and Commander Sam will make a great 1-2 punch from the Opening match position. We can put either one in and feel confident of having a good chance of getting off to a good start. While that is not needed, it is a nice backup in case something goes wrong in the other two matches.
Howard Berman: With the trade deadline fast approaching, that being the beginning of Week 6, could we see more trades as teams jockey for playoff positioning? Currently, Las Vegas is on the outside looking in at the third position in the North American Conference where only the top two make the playoffs. That is part of the reason they made this trade. That is all for now but if we get any more late breaking news, we will bring it to you here on ESPN Space. Do not miss our mid-season review coming up soon.

WWL Spring 90
Week 5
New York Titans (0-4) @ Mexico City Fire (0-4)
(O) Brute (MC) beat US Patriot (NY) with Brute Force. Time: 11:07. Fatigue: US Patriot-1 (MC) Soldier of Fortune (MC) beat Dragonmaster (NY) when he crashed into the ring post on a spear attempt. Time: 23:39. Dragonmaster-1 (ME) Actagon (MC) beat Galactic Punisher (NY) with Grecian Sleeper Grip. Time: 7:20. Fatigue: Galactic Punisher-1, Actagon-1
Winner: Mexico City 3-0
Injuries: None
NOTES: A battle of last place teams looking for their first victory of the season. --- Spike was held out to get some rest. There is no truth to the rumors that he left for Aethran for The Cleansing. --- A man who recently got The Cleansing, Brute, finally picked up his first win of the season. --- The one bright spot for New York this year, Dragonmaster, came up short in his match. It goes without saying that when he was drafted by the Titans, this is not how he saw his season going. --- Actagon finally earned a win when he has been so close. This was over the reigning MVP.
Rome Empire (1-3) @ Barcelona Conquistadors (1-3)
(O) Sectarian (B) beat Terak (R) with Simian Stunner. Time: 2:45. Fatigue: Terak-2 (MC) Lord Nexus (B) beat Antimatter (R) with Titan Drop. Time: 19:05. Fatigue: Antimatter-2, Lord Nexus-2 (ME) Iron Mane (B) beat Whiplash (R) with Final Pounce. Time: 2:31. Fatigue: Whiplash-2
Winner: Barcelona 3-0
Injuries: None
NOTES: The Rome coach decided to sit Tongsoon even with his suspension over as he was trying to ride the wave of success they had last week. It did not work out. --- Sectarian had a game plan and he worked it too perfection. It was keep hitting Terak with his finisher till he got the three count. The first two times it did not work but the third, all in a row by the way, did and he earned a fast victory. --- With the game won Iron Mane went out and picked up a fast victory for the sweep.
Las Vegas Aces (3-1) @ Toronto Juggernauts (2-2)
(O) Matter (T) beat Commander Sam (LV) with Atomic Smash. Time:17:51. Fatigue: Commander Sam-1, Matter-2 (MC) Exo-King (LV) beat Dreadnaught (T) with Death Vise. Time: 16:27. Fatigue: Exo-King-2, Dreadnaught-1 (ME) Battering Ram (T) beat Thantos (LV) with Battering Ram. Time:3:04. Fatigue: Thantos-3
Winner: Toronto 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: Fresh off the trade Commander Sam made his debut for Las Vegas. He seemed to have some ring rust and he fell to Matter. --- Dreadnaught seemed to have some sore ribs and Exo-King target them to earn the victory and knot things up. It was up to Thantos to bring the game win home. --- Battering Ram really showed his aggressive side by going full speed ahead toward Thantos. Early in the match he hit a Ram head butt then covered. He followed that up with back-to-back Battering Rams. While they did not secure a pin, they did have Thanos reeling. A bit later Ram tossed him out of the ring and waited for him to finally crawl back in. Soon as he did, Battering Ram hit his finisher again and picked up a quick upset. --- The loss is a setback for Las Vegas but still half a season to go to get back in the hunt.
London Red Coats (4-0) @ Frankfurt Knights (1-3)
(O) Incredible Badger (L) beat Pit Viper (F) with Ani-Men Ax Handle. Time: 4:03. Fatigue: Incredible Badger-2. (MC) Matador of M83 (F) beat Lance At-Las (L) with running torpedo. Time: 10:02. Fatigue: Lance At-Las-1 (ME) Star Warrior (L) beat Wolf (F) with Nova Launch. Time: 12:57. Fatigue: Star Warrior-1, Wolf-1
Winner: London 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: Badger took some damage but got the W. --- Lance At-Las suffered his first loss in WWL. --- Things were set up for Wolf to get the win for Frankfurt and the Wolf Pack were pumped. He just couldn't pull it out. --- London remains undefeated at the end of the first half of the season.
Chicago Muscle (3-1) @ Los Angeles Stars (4-0)
(O) Cannibal (C) beat Invincible Krakan (LA) with Throat Slit. Time:3:53. Fatigue: Invincible Krakan-1 (MC) Massif (C) beat Splatter (LA) via DQ. Time: 9:39. Fatigue: Splatter-3 (ME) Bounty Hunter (C) beat Bishop Hell (LA) with karate kick. Time: 2:57. Fatigue: Bishop Hell-1
Winner: Chicago 3-0
Injuries: Splatter sustained a light injury but will be fine.
NOTES: A matchup of the two teams on top of the North American Conference did not live up to the hype as Chicago sent a message to the whole Conference. --- Do not look now but Cannibal is putting together a nice string of victories. He is now 4-1 with his sole loss being by DQ. You may not like the underhanded way he is doing it but he is getting results. In this match he used Cannibal Bloodbath to set up for his finisher. --- Massif was dominating Splatter who made a desperate attempt to turn the match around while brawling on the floor. He slammed Massif onto the time keepers table smashing it into bit. He grabbed a broken table leg and was about to hit Massif with it when the ref called for the bell. Realizing he cost himself the match and Los Angeles the game Splatter held the table leg close to him as if it were a teddy bear. --- Bounty Hunter made quick work of Hell to complete the sweep. --- The home crowd left in silence as they saw their team take their first loss of the season but worse, they were manhandled at home. --- Is Chicago now the favorite to win the NA Conference?
Highlight Match of the Week.
Paris Legion (3-1) @ Glasgow Rangers (2-2)
(O) Mad Jester (G) beat Vanity (P) with a flying elbow. Time: 1:43. Fatigue: Vanity-1 (MC) King Lear (G) beat Justice (P) with The Coronation. Time: 1:08. Fatigue: none (ME) Massacre (P) beat Comrade Terror (G) with The Cleansing. Time: 13:43. Fatigue: Massacre-2, Comrade Terror-1
Winner: Glasgow 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: One of two match ups this week between expansion teams. This one was over in no time at all. --- Mayhem was a healthy scratch as the coaches are working on keeping his temper down and trying to get him to stay away from disqualifications. --- It appeared Mad Jester used a foreign object before hitting the flying elbow to win the match. Paris is filing a complaint with the league. --- With his team up 1-0, King Lear made short work of fellow rookie, Justice. --- Comrade Terror was happy to be back in the Main Event. He might not have felt that way by the end of the match. His loss only cost Glasgow the sweep.
North American Conference Record (match results)
Chicago Muscle 4-1 (11-4) Los Angeles Stars 4-1 (9-6) Toronto Juggernauts 3-2 (9-6) Las Vegas Aces 3-2 (8-7) Mexico City Fire 1-4 (5-10) New York Titans 0-5 (3-12)

ESPN Space Special Report
WWL Mid-Season Review
Howard Berman: Welcome to the WWL Mid-Season Review. I am your host Howard Berman and as always, I am joined by the very talented Alice Bundy.
Alice Bundy: Thanks Howard. It is always a pleasure to work with you. What an exciting first half of the Spring 90 season it has been. We have seen the expansion teams come out of the gate hot, we have seen the defending WWL Cup winners unable to buy a win and we had our first trade during the season. Let's start off with taking a look at the North American Conference. Here are the current standings.
Chicago Muscle 4-1 (11-4) Los Angeles Stars 4-1 (9-6) Toronto Juggernauts 3-2 (9-6) Las Vegas Aces 3-2 (8-7) Mexico City Fire 1-4 (5-10) New York Titans 0-5 (3-12)
Howard Berman: What stands out most is the defending champs are down at the bottom at 0-5. Major Cup hangover for them. Meanwhile at the top Spring 89 WWL Cup champions, Los Angeles, is tied with Chicago but Chicago holds the tie breaker in both head-to-head games and match records plus overall match records. Los Angeles started hot and were undefeated till they got swept by Chicago this last week. Chicago has quietly been getting better and better. The Savage One, Cannibal, has been getting them off to hot starts. He has an impressive record so far even if his tactics are questionable.
Alice Bundy: Questionable tactics indeed but you cannot question his impact on their record. Meanwhile, Las Vegas who made the big trade to get Thantos and then made the recent in season trade have seen mixed results. They started hot and have been up and down since. They currently are tied for 3rd but sit in 4th due to tie breakers. Yet, they are just a game out of first. Right now, it appears to be a four-team race for the two playoff spots. New York and Mexico seem to be looking at a top draft pick. Well Mexico City is, New York's picks both go to Rome off the trade that brought them Dragonmaster. Now, let's look at the European Conference. Here are the current standings there.
London Red Coats 5-0 (12-3) Paris Legion 3-2 (8-7) Glasgow Rangers 3-2 (7-8) Barcelona Conquistadors 2-3 (7-8) Frankfurt Knights 1-4 (7-8) Rome Empire 1-4 (4-11)
Howard Berman: London is red hot right now. First team to start a season 5-0 and looking to build on it. If they win their next game, and if this was a 6-game season like the last two seasons, they would have finished the regular season undefeated. This season being 10 games means they have a way to go to achieve that. However, they are sitting in the driver's seat for top seed in their conference. They have a two-game lead over Paris and Glasgow. Unless they collapse in the second half, they should be going to the post season. Who will join them will probably come down to Paris, Glasgow and maybe Barcelona. That means two of the expansion teams are in the hunt for post season and one is likely to make it. Down at the bottom is Rome who looked early on like they would remain winless but they pulled up a surprise sweep in Week 4 and without their top star in the lineup. If they are not careful, they will lose their chance at the top pick and drafting the man they want...Chaos.
Alice Bundy: That is right. Chaos has officially committed to joining the WWL. He has also already signed endorsement deals with a soda company, shoe company and a luxury car company. No doubt, he will be the most sought-after man in WWL history. While Rome may not have the top pick themselves, they do have the New York pick. So based on current standings they would have both the #1 and #2 pick. Needless to say, Rome is set to be a major player next season and beyond.
Howard Berman: So true. Chaos has all the tools. He is big, powerful and fast. He seems to be almost flawless. But he does have one weakness. His ego. He seems to let the crowd affect him via his ego too much. In front of pro Chaos fans, he is almost unstoppable. However, put him in front of crowds against him and it gets in his head. Don't get me wrong, he is still powerful. Just not at the same level as when fans are behind him. That should mean he will probably be 5-0 at home and 4-1 or at worst 3-2 on the road. That is a record, especially in the Main Event, you can live with it. It means the other two guys just need to get one win and you will win a ton of games.
Alice Bundy: Good point. One last thing we should touch on is the first in season trade. Vegas picks up Commander Sam from Barcelona for the price of Billy Jo Boxer and their Spring 91 2nd round draft pick.
Howard Berman: While not nearly as flashy as the trade to get Thantos it is a solid trade for Vegas. Commander Sam has been on the bench for a while but mostly due to politics I think rather than skill. In fact, before he was traded, he had a winning record. Even with his Week 5 loss he still has a .500 record. He supplies Vegas with an upgrade from Billy Jo and it cost them a draft pick down the road. Once Sam gets back into the swing of things, he will be a nice addition to either use in the Opening match or have on the bench in case of injuries.
Alice Bundy: Well that about wraps it up for this mid-season review. The first half has been exciting and the second should be even more so as we head toward the playoffs. For Howard Berman I am Alice Bundy and we will see you at the matches.

WWL Spring 90
Week 6
New York Titans (0-5) @ Los Angeles Stars (4-1)
(O) Spike (NY) beat Invincible Krakan (LA) with Atomic Spike. Time: 19:31. Fatigue: Spike-1, Invincible Krakan-1 (MC) Splatter (LA) beat Dragonmaster (NY) with Hatchet Job. Time: 16:20. Fatigue: Dragonmaster-3, Splatter-2 (ME) Galactic Punisher (NY) beat Bishop Hell (LA) with Life Sentence. Time: 5:11. Fatigue: Bishop Hell-2
Winner: New York 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: Spike was back and he earned his first win of the season. He and Krakan had a good long match and he finally got the pin. --- Splatter keeps on being impressive. --- Reigning MVP got the win and like Spike it was his first of the season. He hit Verdict and after a two-count performed Life Sentence for the win. --- With spike and Punisher getting their first wins New York got its first win of the season. It probably felt better being against their natural rivals. --- Los Angeles is in a bit of a skid after starting the season hot. Can they turn things around?
Frankfurt Knights (1-4) @ Rome Empire (1-4)
(O) Antimatter (R) beat Pit Viper (F) with a Blackhole Slam as he caught Viper jumping off the top. Time: 16:06. Fatigue: Antimatter-1 (MC) Whiplash (R) beat Matador of M83 (F) with a Thumbscrew. Time: 9:35. Matador-1, Whiplash-2 (ME) Wolf (F) beat Tongsoon (R) via DQ. Time: 1:19. Fatigue: none
Winner: Rome 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: Pit Viper was in control in the Opening match. He hit Venom Blast and got a two count. He followed it up with a Cobra Clutch Suplex and then went high risk and paid for it. He came up with an attempted Ax Handle but Antimatter caught him and performed a Blackhole Slam in one motion for the win. --- Whiplash with a Thumbscrew but the reigning Rookie of the Year got a rope break. Whiplash with his finisher again and he secured the win. The sophomore slump seems to be hitting Matador. --- Perhaps it was anger over being held out last week or the fact that Rome got the win without his help but Tongsoon was in a foul mood. He took it out on Wolf with a Mexican uppercut down on the floor and the ref saw it leading to the DQ. Wolf kept his team from being swept but he was in no mood to celebrate. --- The win puts Rome ahead of Frankfurt, thus risking the top pick in the draft. --- Meanwhile, Frankfurt is seeing any playoff hopes slipping away. They are not eliminated from playoff contention but they have been eliminated from the top seed which comes with the home arena advantage.
Toronto Juggernauts (3-2) @ Mexico City Fire (1-4)
(O) Matter (T) beat Brute (MC) via DQ. Time: 32:41. Fatigue: Matter-4, Brute-4 (MC) Soldier of Fortune (MC) beat Dreadnaught (T) with The Revenger. Time: 17:50. Fatigue: Dreadnaught-4, Soldier of Fortuen-2 (ME) Actagon (MC) beat Battering Ram (T) with Grecian Sleeper Grip. Time: 14:18. Fatigue: Battering Ram-5, Actagon-2
Winner: Mexico City 2-1
Injuries: Matter has a serious injury but should not miss any time. His injury will slow him but not effect his wrestling much. Brute has a medium injury but will be fine. Dreadnaught has a medium injury but is good to go. Battering Ram has a very serious injury. He will have some exams to further diagnosis the situation but the early picture is not good.
NOTES: The opening match was an instant classic. The only down side was the DQ finish. It was a brutal affair that saw both men kick out of the others finisher. The match was full of momentum swings. In the end Brute rolled out of the ring for a breather and Matter would not leave him alone. Brute finally snapped and rammed Matter's head repeatedly into the ring post resulting in the DQ. --- Soldier of Fortune tied the game up with a fairly long battle of his own. Dreadnaught kept fighting back but finally he was beaten. --- In the Main Event Actagon kept applying his finisher and Battering Ram kept finding a way out. Until the last time when he faded and Actagon got the W for him and for Mexico City.
Glasgow Rangers (3-2) @ Barcelona Conquistadors (2-3)
(O) Mad Jester (G) beat Sectarian (B) with Mad Sleeper Grip. Time: 3:23. Fatigue: none (MC) Lord Nexus (B) beat King Lear (G) with Titan Drop. Time: 4:11. Fatigue: none (ME) Iron Mane (B) beat Comrade Terror (G) via DQ. Time: 9:26. Fatigue: Comrade Terror-1
Winner: Barcelona 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: Comrade Terror had the chance to give his team a win and improve their chances at the post season. But his temper got the better of him. He and Iron Man fought on the floor and he grabbed a chair. When the ref tried to stop him, he shoved the ref onto his backside. That ended the match. Looks like Terror will be getting a fine from the League.
Paris Legion (3-2) @ London Red Coats (5-0)
(O) Incredible Badger (L) beat Mayhem (P) with a dropkick off the turnbuckle. Time: 14:22. Fatigue: Mayhem-6 (MC) Lance At-Las (L) beat Justice (P) with Martian Manhandler. Time: 26:49. Fatigue: Justice-4, Lance At-Las-2 (ME) Star Warrior (L) beat Massacre (P) with Nova Launch. Time: 11:37. Fatigue: Star Warrior-1
Winner: London 3-0
Injuries: Mayhem is very serious hurt. It is possible he could miss time or even that Paris shuts him down for the season. Now what Paris expected when they drafted him #1 overall.
NOTES: Right now, no one is on their game like the Red Coats. The undefeated record proves that. --- Mayhem was back from his healthy scratch and he had a more subdued attitude. He also has the bruises to prove it. He took a butt kicking in this match that Badger finally won. --- In a matchup of rookies Lance At-Las put Justice in the Martian Manhandler early and he survived but did not survive yet another after a long grueling match. London had the win but they wanted the sweep. --- They got the sweep as Star Warrior remained perfect and he gave Massacre his first loss of the season.
Highlight Match of the Week.
Las Vegas Aces (3-2) @ Chicago Muscle (4-1)

Winner: Chicago 3-0

NOTES: Cannibal continues winning which helps Chicago get off to a hot start. --- Massif rode that momentum and got a win himself to seal the game for Chicago. London is hot but so is Chicago. --- In the Main Event, about 7 minutes in, Thantos with a Satanic Skullcrusher and cover that almost got him the win. About 3 minutes later he hit another and covered but only got a two count. He followed up with Masterlock and it looked like it would be over. However, Hunter found a way to escape. At the end of the match Bounty Hunter hit a Bounty Skullcrusher but only got a 1 count. He followed that up with the Ambush and win. --- Thantos could not say anything about his teammates losing as he came up short himself. In fact, he did not say anything at all as he did not appear at the post-game interview. Looks like another fine for the Aces leader.

WWL BREAKING NEWS
Battering Ram, during his match against Actagon, pulled something in his shoulder while trying to escape the Grecian Sleeper Grip one of the last times Actagon applied it. Today he had an MRI and some other tests and it appears he has a slightly torn rotator cuff. After discussions between Battering Ram, the doctors and the Toronto officials it was decided to put him on IR, ending his season, and for him to have surgery. It is hoped that he will be back for the start of Fall 90. It is believed that worse case, he would miss 2-3 weeks at the start of the Fall 90 season. This is a blow to Toronto who are in the hunt for one of the top two spots in the Conference which would put them in the playoffs. Ram was their top star. He was just one of many wrestlers injured in Week 6 but clearly the one with the worst injury. In fact, all three starters for Toronto left Week 6 banged up.

WWL Spring 90
Week 7
New York Titans (1-5) @ Toronto Juggernauts (3-3)
(O) Spike (NY) beat Hitman for Hire (T) via DQ. Time: 1:19. Fatigue: none (MC) Matter (T) beat Dragonmaster (NY) with Positive Charge. Time: 9:17. Fatigue: Dragonmaster-3, Matter-3 (ME) Galactic Punisher (NY) beat Dreadnaught (T) with Life Sentence. Time: 4:04. Fatigue: Dreadnaught-6
Winner: New York 2-1
Injuries: Matter has aggravated his injury plus has a mild one. Again, he should not miss time but will be fighting thru the injuries. Dreadnaught has a very serious injury. He needed help to leave the ring. Early word is he is done for the season.
NOTES: A banged up Toronto came into this game without their top star, Battering Ram, who was placed on IR ending his season. Ironically, his first missed game was against his former team, New York. --- Hitman for Hire got the nod to start things off as everyone else in the lineup was moved up in the rotation. He was having trouble with Spike so he rolled out of the ring. Spike followed and the two brawled. Hitman shoved a member of the TV crew out of the way as he went for Spike resulting in the DQ. --- Matter was hobbled in his match but he fought thru it in a hard-hitting affair to secure the win. He hit a piledriver and covered for 2 1/2 then quickly followed up with Positive Charge for the pin. --- Going for the game win, Galactic Punisher unleashed a brutal assault on an already injured Dreadnaught and showed everyone why he was last season's MVP in dominating fashion. He hit Verdict two times AND Life Sentence two times in the first couple minutes to have Dreadnaught reeling. It was a blitzing attack that Dreadnaught, nor many, could survive. The third Life Sentence got him the win. Dreadnaught looked in really bad shape after the match. --- New York keeps their slim playoff dreams alive while Toronto is slowly seeing theirs slip away.
Rome Empire (2-4) @ London Red Coats (6-0)
(O) Antimatter (R) beat Incredible Badger (L) with Negative Charge. Time: 8:46. Fatigue: Incredible Badger-1 (MC) Lance At-Las (L) beat Whiplash after a failed sunset flip and he sat down. NOTES: Antimatter with the upset in the Opening match to get Rome off to a good start. --- The Mid-Card was a barnburner that went over half an hour. Finally, both men exhausted, Whiplash went for a sunset flip but did not have enough to get Lance over. Lance simply fell to his knees and sat on Whiplash's chest and the ref counted three. --- Star Warrior secured the win for London as they remain undefeated. With the win London has clinched a playoff spot. Now they will focus on the top seed and the home advantage as they hope to bring the WWL Cup to London and merry old England.
Glasgow Rangers (3-3) @ Frankfurt Knights (1-5)
(O) Mad Jester (G) beat Pit Viper (F) with Jagged Edge. Time: 6:47. Fatigue: Pit Viper-1 (MC) Matador of M83 (F) beat King Lear (G) with Bullwhip. Time: 3:30. King Lear-1 (ME) Wolf (F) beat Comrade Terror (G) with Savage Face Claw. Time: 5:50. Fatigue: Comrade Terror-1, Wolf-2

NOTES: Mad Jester got things started for Glasgow but then the home boys came roaring back with the one-two punch of Matador and Wolf. The Wolf Pack was ecstatic about their boy getting the win.
Mexico City Fire (2-4) @ Chicago Muscle (5-1)
(O) Brute (MC) beat Cannibal (C) via DQ. Time:2:59. Fatigue: Brute-1 (MC) Massif (C) beat Solider of Fortune (MC) with overhead toss. Time: 2:25. Fatigue: none (ME) Bounty Hunter (C) beat Actagon (MC) with Ambush. Time: 11:54. Fatigue: Actagon-1, Bounty Hunter-2
Winner: Chicago wins 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: Brute came in slightly injured but he fought thru it and did no additional damage. He tried a back body drop but Cannibal grabbed him and turned it into a power bomb. Then Cannibal tossed Brute out of the ring and went after him. The two brawled then both picked up a chair. They swung and the chairs cracked together. The ref was about to call for the bell but realized he didn't know which to DQ. He had his answer when Cannibal swung again and smacked Brute. --- Massif evened things up quickly and set it up for Bounty Hunter to bring home another game win. --- About 6 1/2 minutes into the Main Event, Actagon applied his Grecian Sleeper Grip and almost got the win. In the end, Hunter needed two Ambush to put Actagon away but he did. --- Chicago keeps rolling and the fans were loving it.
Los Angeles Stars (4-2) @ Las Vegas Aces (3-3)
(O) Incredible Krakan (LA) beat Pulsar (LV) with Falling Face Slam. Time: 6:48. Fatigue: Pulsar-3 (MC) Exo-King (LV) beat Splatter (LA) with Death Vise. Time: 3:20. Fatigue: Splatter-1 (ME) Bishop Hell (LA) beat Thantos (LV) with Hellfire. Time: 2:23. Fatigue: Thantos-1
Winner: Los Angeles 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: Pulsar put up a good fight in the opener, but Krakan is just too good and too experienced. --- Exo-King almost won early with a flying body crusher. Later he used a flying back elbow off the top rope right before he applied his finisher. --- At 1-1 the home crowd was anticipating the victory. Dueling chants of "Let's go Aces" and "Stars destroyer" rang out. Sadly, Thantos did not come thru. He struggled with Bishop Hell. Bishop used a Bishop Blast and a cover to weaken Thantos. Then he argued a bit with the red and pointed toward the crowd to distract the ref so he could use Hellfire. That was all she wrote. --- LA gets back in the win column while Las Vegas continues to slide.
Highlight Match of the Week.
Barcelona Conquistadors (3-3) @ Paris Legion (3-3)
(O) Sectarian (B) beat Mayhem (P) with Simian Stunner. Time: 3:11. Fatigue: Mayhem-3 (MC) Justice (P) beat Lord Nexus (B) with Shock Probation. Time: 7:13. Fatigue: Justice-3 (ME) Massacre (P) beat Iron Mane (B) with falling knee crunch. Time: 8:21. Fatigue: Iron Mane-3
Winner: Paris 2-1
Injuries: Justice has a very serious injury. It looks like he will not have to miss any time but he will be wrestling less than 100% for a few weeks. They will have to decide if they want to rest him with the chance at the playoffs on the line.
NOTES: Mayhem, against doctor's advice and the desire of the coaching staff went out there to compete. He lost again but at least did not seem to do any more damage to himself. Post-game rumors are that Paris might shut him down for the season by placing him on IR. That way he can rest and they can sign someone else to the roster. --- In the Mid-Card match, around the 5-minute mark, Lord Nexus attacked Justice on the floor then returned to the ring to get the count out win. Justice made it in at the 6 count. He was met by a Titan Drop and a close 2 1/2 count. Nexus thought the win was in hand so he hit another Titan Drop but Justice kicked out at 1. Justice fought back and got the win to tie up the game. --- Massacre continues to impress since getting The Cleansing. He did not win with his finisher of the same name but did use it to soften Iron Mane up before putting him away.

WWL BREAKING NEWS
The injuries are piling up and the IR list is getting bigger. First, Toronto put Dreadnaught on IR as he will be having surgery. This means that Toronto's top pick in both the expansion draft and standard draft have had their season's cut short. Dreadnaught had been the #2 pick overall in the Spring 90 draft and in early talks for Rookie of the Year. To fill the roster spot, they signed Vlad Hammer. They still have a spot open but no plans to fill it with only a few weeks left and little chance of post-season action.
Second, Paris shut down Mayhem for the rest of the season and placed him on IR. They signed Tendron to fill the roster spot. He is not expected to need surgery but simply time to heal.
In other WWL news, officials have released next season's salary cap. It will be $650K. That is up $50K from this season. Stay tuned to ESPN Space for the latest WWL news.
