Winner: Rome 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: Antimatter got Rome off to a hot start against the newest member of Paris Legion. --- Justice came in with tape on his shoulder and ribs but he did not let the injuries slow him down. --- Tongsoon was looking for a win for himself and Rome. He had to get past a man who had been one of the best this season. He was really fired up down the stretch of his match. He hit Warrior's Whip and made a cover. Then Battle Cry but again only got a two. He went high risk going to the top and rocked Massacre with a diving head butt. Then he motioned that it was over and after another Battle Cry it was. --- With Paris losing, London secured the top seed as they won the regular season Conference title.
Barcelona Conquistadors (3-4) @ Frankfurt Knights (2-5)

Winner: Frankfurt 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: Pit Viper was struggling so he left the ring for a breather. Sectarian came out and the two brawled. They got back into the ring and Sectarian ended up tossing Pit Viper out. He waited patiently this time. Viper got in at the 8 count and was hit with Sectarian's finisher and pinned. --- Matador of M83 took the fight to Lord Nexus. He came off the top rope with a nasty shoulder block before using his finisher to win. --- Iron Mane almost won three times. Early in the match he hit Final Pounce for close cover. He followed up with an AniMen Ax Handle that again came close to a three count. A second Final Pounce led to a 2 1/2. Wolf showed his toughness by refusing to lose.
Chicago Muscle (6-1) @ Toronto Juggernauts (3-4)
(O) Cannibal (C) beat Demon (T) with Throat Slit. Time: 11:44. Fatigue: Demon-1 (MC) Massif (C) beat Hitman for Hire (T) with head butt. Time: 6:51. Fatigue: Hitman for Hire-3 (ME) Bounty Hunter (C) beat Matter (T) with karate kick. Time: 2:34. Fatigue: Matter-3
Winner: Chicago 3-0
Injuries: None
NOTES: The top team in the North American Conference rolled over the short-handed Toronto team.
Mexico City Fire (2-5) @ Los Angeles Stars (5-2)
(O) Invincible Krakan (LA) beat Brute (MC) with Falling Face Slam. Time: 23:01. Fatigue: Brute-4, Invincible Krakan-1 (MC) Splatter (LA) beat Soldier of Fortune (MC) via DQ. Time: 13:27. Fatigue: Soldier of Fortune-1, Splatter-1 (ME) Actagon (MC) beat Bishop Hell (LA) with Grecian Sleeper Grip. Time: 10:24. Fatigue: Actagon-2, Bishop Hell-2
Winner: Los Angeles 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: With the Los Angeles win Toronto, Mexico City and New York were eliminated from a chance at the playoffs.
London Red Coats (7-0) @ Glasgow Rangers (3-4)
(O) Incredible Badger (L) beat Mad Jester (G) with Death Dive. Time: 11:45. Fatigue: Incredible Badger-1, Mad Jester-1 (MC) King Lear (G) beat Lance At-Las (L) via DQ. Time: 20:52. Fatigue: Lance At-Las-3 (ME) Star Warrior (L) beat Comrade Terror (G) with Nova Launch. Time: 19:43. Fatigue: Comrade Terror-3
Winner: London 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: It took a long time, almost an hour for all three matches, but London got a win to keep their undefeated season going. --- Only negative was Lance getting DQ'd. You could see by the look on his face after he gave King Lear a DVD onto the ring stairs that he realized he had messed up and felt bad about it. At the post-game conference, he apologized to his teammates, the fans and the organization for messing up. He thanked Star Warrior for having his back and getting the W to secure the team win.
Highlight Match of the Week.
Las Vegas Aces (3-4) @ New York Titans (2-5)
(O) Spike (NY) beat Commander Sam (LV) with a Super Destroyer. Time: 7:23. Fatigue: Commander Sam-1 (MC) Dragonmaster (NY) beat Exo-King (LV) via DQ. Time: 21:36. Fatigue: Exo-King-5 (ME) Thantos (LV) Galactic Punisher (NY) with Masterlock. Time: 7:32. Fatigue: Thantos-3
Winner: New York 2-1
Injuries: Thantos has a medium injury. He will not need to miss any time.
NOTES: After Spike won his match, he got a nice cheer from the crowd. He smiled and waved to them. --- Exo-King took a beating in his match. He survived a Titan Drop, Demon Drop and double karate hammer in succession, all followed by a pin attempt. Then a bit later Dragonmaster tossed him out and went after him. There was a wild brawl and King was desperate to get some separation. He grabbed the time keepers bell and hit Dragonmaster leading to the loss for him and Las Vegas. --- At one point in the Main Event, Galactic Punisher hit three straight Life Sentence and Thantos kicked out after each one. It was an impressive show of grit. More so since he came back and won the match. --- With the loss the Aces were eliminated from the playoff chase. This means Chicago and Los Angeles have clinched a spot in the post season. It just remains to be seen who compete in front of their home fans.
North American Conference Record (match results)
Chicago Muscle 7-1 (19-5) y Los Angeles Stars 6-2 (14-10) y Toronto Juggernauts 3-5 (11-13) e Las Vegas Aces 3-5 (10-14) e New York Titans 3-5 (9-15) e Mexico City Fire 2-6 (9-15) e
European Conference
London Red Coats 8-0 (19-5) x Paris Legion 4-4 (11-13) Frankfurt Knights 3-5 (12-12) Barcelona Conquistadors 3-5 (11-13) Glasgow Rangers 3-5 (10-14) Rome Empire 3-5 (9-15)
x = clinched top seed in Conference y = clinched playoff spot e = eliminated from playoffs
Playoff Picture: In the North American Conference Chicago and Los Angeles have both punched their ticket for the playoffs. All that is left to be determined is who will be the home team and who will be the visitors. In the European Conference London has clinched home advantage for the Conference Championship. They just have to find out who they will be facing. With two weeks left the other 5 teams are still alive. Either of those 5 teams could find themselves in the playoffs or possibly with the top pick in the draft once these last two weeks of the season are over. That is how crazy it is in the European Conference right now.
Here is next week's schedule.
Week 9:
New York @ Chicago Toronto @ Los Angeles Las Vegas @ Mexico City London @ Barcelona Frankfurt @ Paris Rome @ Glasgow *

WWL Spring 90
Week 9
Las Vegas Aces (3-5) @ Mexico City Fire (2-6)
(O) Brute (MC) beat Pulsar (LV) with Brute Force. Time: 16:24. Fatigue: Pulsar-2, Brute-2 (MC) Exo-King (LV) beat Soldier of Fortune (MC) with atomic drop. Time: 19:23. Fatigue: Exo-King-3 (ME) Thantos (LV) beat Actagon (MC) with Masterlock. Time: 13:18. Fatigue: Thantos-3, Actagon-2
Winner: Las Vegas 2-1
Injuries: Exo-King has a mild injury but will be fine. There was worry that Thantos aggravated his injury but he is ok.
NOTES: Pulsar put up a good showing against Brute in the Opening match. --- Exo-King took a beating but got the W. --- Thantos was hobbled but as usual, he got the job done. --- Mexico City seems poised to have the top pick in the Fall 90 draft meaning they will have Chaos next season.
Frankfurt Knights (3-5) @ Paris Legion (4-4)
(O) Tendron (P) beat Pit Viper (F) with The Smothering. Time: 4:59. Fatigue: Pit Viper-2 (MC) Matador of M83 (F) beat Justice (P) with running torpedo. Time: 11:39. Fatigue: Matador-2, Justice-2 (ME) Massacre (P) beat Wolf (F) with The Cleansing. Time: 31:13. Fatigue: Wolf-4, Massacre-2
Winner: Paris 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: Tendron picked up his first WWL victory. --- Justice tried to tough it out and get the much-needed win for Paris but he was too banged up. --- Massacre survived an early Wolf Skullcrusher in the first minute and kicked out of a cover. That was the only cover or submission attempt in the first 20 minutes of the match. Massacre survived a Savage Face Claw but just barely. He then used The Cleansing to really wear Wolf down and eventually get the win. --- Paris keeps their playoff hopes alive while Frankfurt was eliminated.
Toronto Juggernauts (3-5) @ Los Angeles (6-2)
(O) Invincible Krakan (LA) beat Demon (T) via DQ. Time: 24:21. Fatigue: Demon-1 (MC) Splatter (LA) beat Hitman for Hire (T) via DQ. Time: 7:32. Fatigue: Splatter-2 (ME) Matter (T) beat Bishop Hell (LA) with Positive Charge. Time: 4:30. Fatigue: Matter-2, Bishop Hell-1
Winner: Los Angeles 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: The first two matches ended the same way. The Tornoto wrestler left the ring, the Los Angeles wrestler went out after them and after a wild brawl around the ring the Toronto wrestler did something to get disqualified. After the game the LA coach accused the Toronto players of trying to injure his players with the playoffs coming up. The Toronto coach said his team would not do that as they know how much injuries hurt a team and suck. --- With the win, LA puts pressure on Chicago. They also could use some help from their nemesis, New York.
London Red Coats (8-0) @ Barcelona (3-5)
(O) Incredible Badger (L) beat Sectarian (B) with Burrow Blast. Time: 5:09. Fatigue: Sectarian-1 (MC) Lord Nexus (B) beat Lance At-Las (L) with karate chop. Time: 2:12. Fatigue: none (ME) Star Warrior (L) beat Iron Mane (B) via DQ. Time: 9:31. Fatigue: Iron Mane-1
Winner: London 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: In the Opening match, Sectarian bailed out of the ring for a breather. Badger waited patiently and when Sectarian rolled back in Badger hit his finisher and got the pin. --- Lance At-Las looked hesitant in his match and lost easily and quickly. Perhaps he was worried about losing his temper again but it cost his team. --- Star Warrior wanted the win to keep the streak going for him and the team. He hit a Nova Launch about 3 minutes in and almost won. He ended up tossing Mane out of the ring and went out himself. They fought each other hard but Mane went a bit too far and lost the match. --- Asked post-game about resting guys before the playoffs Star Warrior said they have a rhythm right now and do not want to disturb that. They will use the same lineup in the last week of the regular season.
New York Titans (3-5) @ Chicago Muscle (7-1)
(O) Dragonmaster (NY) beat Cannibal (C) with Dragon Drop. Time: 9:16. Fatigue: Dragonmaster-2, Cannibal-2 (MC) Massif (C) beat Spike (NY) with Volcanic Drop. Time: 4:59. Fatigue: Spike-1 (ME) Galactic Punisher (NY) beat Bounty Hunter (C) with Verdict. Time: 18:41. Fatigue: Bounty Hunter-4
Winner: New York 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: Dragonmaster used a double karate hammer and cover right before the Dragon Drop and win. --- Spike was moved back from Opening match to his normal Mid-Card match position and he lost again. --- Galactic Punisher with a Verdict and Life Sentence early to set the pace. He needed two straight Verdicts to finally put Hunter away. --- New York got to play a bit of spoiler here. The sports experts were getting ready to figure out tie breaking scenarios if Chicago won this week and lost to LA next week resulting in them finishing the regular season tied. Now, with this loss, Chicago and LA will be tied going into the last week. Thus, whoever wins next week will win the regular season North American Conference title. LA will be trying for their 2nd in 3 seasons while Chicago looks for their first. --- Also, if Chicago wins, they get to stay home to face LA again in the Conference Championship. If LA wins they get to go home and face Chicago for the Championship.
Highlight Match of the Week.
Rome Empire (3-5) @ Glasgow (3-5)
(O) Whiplash (R) beat Mad Jester (G) with Assassin Drop. Time: 11:07. Fatigue: Mad Jester-4 (MC) King Lear (G) beat Antimatter (R) with The Coronation. Time: 4:44. Fatigue: Antimatter-1, King Lear-1 (ME) Tongsoon (R) beat Comrade Terror (G) with Warrior Whip. Time: 11:34. Fatigue: Tongsoon-2, Comrade Terror-1
Winner: Rome 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: Disappointing seasons are slowly ending for both teams. --- Early on Glasgow had playoff aspirations but those faded and now they look to next season. --- Meanwhile, early in the season Rome was headed toward having the top 2 picks in the Fall 90 draft, theirs and the one they got from New York in a trade. Now, those picks are currently #6 and #7. It looks like their plan to land Chaos failed. --- It should be pointed out that Rome started winning once Tongsoon exploded at a reporter and he was suspended. They still have a slight chance of making the playoffs. They need to win, preferably in a sweep, and they need Paris to lose, preferably in a sweep as well.
North American Conference Record (match results)
Chicago Muscle 7-2 (20-7) y Los Angeles Stars 7-2 (16-11) y Las Vegas Aces 4-5 (12-15) e New York Titans 4-5 (11-16) e Toronto Juggernauts 3-6 (12-15) e Mexico City Fire 2-7 (10-17) e
European Conference
London Red Coats 9-0 (21-6) x Paris Legion 5-4 (13-14) Rome Empire 4-5 (11-16) Frankfurt Knights 3-6 (13-14) e Barcelona Conquistadors 3-6 (12-15) e Glasgow Rangers 3-6 (11-16) e
x = clinched top seed in Conference y = clinched playoff spot e = eliminated from playoffs
Playoff Picture: Frankfurt, Barcelona and Glasgow have joined the ranks of those teams looking toward next season. Meanwhile Los Angeles and Chicago will face off in the last week of the season with the regular season Conference title on the line along with the home advantage for their playoff game. These two teams are set to face each other again in the Conference Championship. Over in the European Conference Paris controls their destiny. Win and they are in. Lose and they will need some help to get in. Either way, not bad for an expansion team.
Here is next week's schedule.

WWL Spring 90
Week 10
Mexico City Fire (2-7) @ New York Titans (4-5)
(O) Solider of Fortune (MC) beat Spike (NY) with The Revenger. Time: 4:39. Fatigue: Spike-1 (MC) Dragonmaster (NY) beat Brute (MC) via count out. Time: 6:12. Fatigue: Brute-4 (ME) Galactic Punisher (NY) beat Actagon (MC) with Life Sentence. Time: 14:46. Fatigue: Actagon-4, Galactic Punisher-6
Winner: New York 2-1
Injuries: Brute has a very serious injury. He will not need surgery and will just have to rest in the off season. He should be ok to go at the start of Fall 90. Galactic Punisher has a serious injury but will be fine come next season. Both men are lucky that their injuries came at the end of the season.
NOTES: After Spike lost in the Opening match some fans sang the Na, Na, Hey, Hey Goodbye song. That was the home fans doing it. --- Brute took a beating in the Mid-Card match and after being body slammed on the concrete floor, he could not beat the referees ten count and was counted out. --- The Main Event was a brutal, exhausting affair. Galactic Punisher, about 5 minutes into the match, nailed Actagon with THREE of his Life Sentence finishers but Actagon refused to be pinned. Around the 10-minute mark Actagon started using Grecian Sleeper Grip to wear Punisher down and try and finish him off. Punisher kept fighting out or getting a rope break. Finally, the two men brawled for a couple minutes on the floor around the ring. Punisher ended up winning the fight. He rolled Actagon into the ring and hit his finisher one more time. --- With the loss, Mexico City has secured the top pick in the Fall 90 draft. It looks like Chaos will be going to Mexico City fire. If so, they will not have the worst record next season.
Frankfurt Knights (3-6) @ London Red Coats (9-0)
(O) Incredible Badger (L) beat Pit Viper (F) with dropkick off turnbuckle. Time: 8:31. Fatigue: Pit Viper-2 (MC) Lance At-Las (L) beat Wolf (F) with Martian Manhandler. Time: 7:24. Fatigue: Wolf-3 (ME) Star Warrior (L) beat Matador of M83 (F) with Nova Launch. Time: 18:40. Fatigue: Matador-1, Star Warrior-1
Winner: London 3-0
Injuries: Wolf has a medium injury but nothing to be concerned about.
NOTES: Lance At-Las bounced back nicely after a couple tough losses the last two weeks. He was facing Wolf as Wolf had said before the game that Matador of M83 deserved to be in the Main Event. Lance took the fight to the legend and got the W. That secured the game win and undefeated season for London. --- The coach could be seen talking to Star Warrior before the Main Event. It is believed he was trying to talk Warrior into sitting out the match to stay healthy for the playoffs. But Warrior went out there and had the match. --- Near the end of the Main Event the two men had a wild sequence. Matador tried to toss Star Warrior into the corner but the move was reversed THREE times and it ended up being Matador that was sent crashing into the corner. Warrior followed up with a nice flying dropkick. He then climbed to the top to hit his finisher and get the win. --- London sent a message going into the playoffs. They are on top of their game. --- London got the sweep in the last week of the regular season. Now it remains to be seen if they sweep the WWL awards. Warrior as MVP and Lance as Rookie seem a lock. Badger has some competition for Ignitor
Toronto Juggernauts (3-6) @ Las Vegas Aces (4-5)
(O) Demon (T) beat Pulsar (LV) with Demon Death Grip. Time: 9:00. Fatigue: none (MC) Exo-King (LV) beat Hitman for Hire (T) via DQ. Time: 6:26. Fatigue: Exo-King-3 (ME) Matter (T) beat Thantos (LV) with Positive Charge. Time: 3:52. Fatigue: Thantos-2
Winner: Toronto 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: The two North American Conference expansion teams went at it and Toronto came out on top. --- Hitman for Hire performed Hitman's Card a pair of times and came close to getting the win but King kept kicking out. That might have made Hitman mad as he tossed King out of the ring and proceeded to beat down on him on the floor resulting in the DQ. --- At the post-game press conference Thantos said he will be working out hard in the off season to get better and he will be working with Pulsar to get him to improve and reach his potential. --- Once the press conference was over an announcement of "Exo-King has left the building" was made.
Barcelona Conquistadors (3-6) @ Rome Empire (4-5)
(O) Sectarian (B) beat Anitmatter (R) via count out. Time: 1:41. Fatigue: none (MC) Lord Nexus (B) beat Whiplash (R) with a cross body block off the top turnbuckle. Time: 5:05. Fatigue: Lord Nexus-1, Whiplash-2 (ME) Iron Mane (B) beat Tongsoon (R) with Final Pounce. Time: 5:37. Fatigue: Tongsoon-1
Winner: Barcelona 3-0
Injuries: None
NOTES: The Opening match started with Antimatter tossing Sectarian into the ropes. He tried a back body drop but Sectarian stopped and hit a nasty piledriver on him. He tossed Antimatter out and waited. Antimatter finally crawled in at the 8 count. Sectarian tossed him out again and hit a falling elbow off the apron. Sectarian waited in the ring but Antimatter did not beat the 10 count. --- After that match Barcelona just cruised to the shutout. Sadly, that hurt their placement in the draft. --- Rome had an outside chance at the playoffs but they got swept right out of that. So, no playoffs and no Chaos for them. --- The loss by Rome clinched the playoff spot for Paris.
Glasgow Rangers (3-6) @ Paris Legion (5-4)
(O) Mad Jester (G) beat Tendron (P) with Jagged Edge. Time: 4:50. Fatigue: none (MC) Justice (P) beat King Lear (G) with Shock Probation. Time: 1:26. Fatigue: Justice-2 (ME) Massacre (P) beat Comrade Terror (G) with The Cleansing. Time: 3:33. Fatigue: Comrade Terror-1, Massacre-2
Winner: Paris 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: After Tendron lost to Mad Jester the rest of the team went to send a message as they head into the playoffs. --- Justice, fighting thru an injury, made short work of fellow rookie King Lear. He looks to do the same against rookie Lance At-Las in the Conference Championship game. --- Massacre stayed red hot to get the W for Paris and give them a winning record. --- One can only imagine how good this team would be if their 1st round pick, Mayhem, had lived up to the hype. --- Comrade Terror stormed out of the arena after his match. He did not even wait for the post-game press conference.
Highlight Match of the Week.
Los Angeles Stars (7-2) @ Chicago Muscle (7-2)
(O) Invincible Krakan (LA) beat Cannibal (C) with Falling Face Slam. Time: 8:47. Fatigue: Invincible Krakan-3 (MC) Massif (C) beat Splatter (LA) with overhead toss. Time: 9:06. Fatigue: Splatter-2, Massif-1 (ME) Bishop Hell (LA) beat Bounty Hunter (C) with Hellfire. Time: 3:06. Fatigue: Bishop Hell-2
Winner: Los Angeles 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: The home crowd was hot and fully behind Chicago. --- In the Opening match, Cannibal rocked Krakan with Cannibal Bloodbath and got a close 2 1/2. A couple times during the match Krakan tried a sun set flip only to have Cannibal counter it and make a pin attempt. A tired Krakan hit a clothesline off the top rope and then his finisher to get LA off to a good start. That quieted the crowd some. --- The crowd got back into it after the Mid-Card match. Splatter appeared to use a foreign object and covered for two. He then tried an eye rake but Massif blocked it. He then lifted Splatter and tossed him across the ring leading to the pin. --- It came down to the Main Event. Who would win the match and thus the game and thus get home field for the Conference Championship? --- Bounty Hunter was too aggressive and he crashed and burned trying a spear in the corner. Hell rolled him up for only a 1 count. He sensed that Hunter was wobbly so quickly performed Hellfire out of the ref's sight. That was the end. The crowd went silent then started booing Bishop Hell and the ref.

ESPN Space Special Report
WWL releases
With the Spring 90 season over the non-playoff teams are making roster moves. Here is the latest list.
Mexico City Fire: They do not resign Brute, Man-Mountain or Count Necros. The other two men are entering the Fall 90 draft.
Las Vegas Aces: They resign Pulsar to a one season deal at $90K. They do not resign Commander Sam and he has decided to enter the Fall 90 draft.
Toronto Juggernauts: They do not resign Hitman for Hire or Vlad Hammer. Both men will enter the Fall 90 draft.
Rome Empire: They do not resign Tongsoon, Antimatter, Terak or Mr. Galaxy. Tongsoon is a FA. The other three men are entering the Fall 90 draft. This leaves just one man on their roster, Whiplash who they had the team option on the second year of his rookie contract.
Barcelona Conquistadors: They resign Sectarian to a one season contract at 100K.
Frankfurt Knights: They do not resign Pit Viper or Rogue. Both are entering the Fall 90 draft.
Glasgow Rangers: They do not resign Earthquake. Comrade Terror has left the WWL so of course they did not resign him either. Earthquake will enter the Fall 90 draft.

ESPN Space Special Presentation
WWL Conference Championships.
Howard Berman: Welcome to ESPN Space and our special presentation of the WWL Conference Championships. This is the first time we have had Conference Championships and it should be some exciting action.
Alice Bundy: So true Howard. Four teams are trying to secure the two spots in the WWL Cup this season. In the European Conference, which will be the first game, we have Paris Legion at the London Red Coats. Paris is trying to live the fairy tale of Cinderella and be the expansion team that goes all the way. Doing it all with no help from the top pick in the draft, Mayhem. He went 0-6 before injuries ended his season. On the other side, London is undefeated and wants to stay that way. They will try and be the first European Conference team to win the WWL Cup.
Howard Berman: In our second matchup it will be the Chicago Muscle at the Los Angeles Stars. For Chicago they will try and be the third different team to represent North America in the WWL Cup and win it all. They have watched New York and LA do it. After seeing the coast teams win it all they want to win it all for the Midwest. However, after jumping to the top of the Conference they lost their last two games to those coastal teams and went from first to second. Thus, they are on the road and facing the team that beat them just last week, Los Angeles. LA is looking to go to the WWL Cup for the second time in the first three seasons and be the first two-time Cup winner.
Alice Bundy: Between the two games we will reveal the three season award winners. After the second and final game we will announce the All-Star teams. As a reminder, the six men who make up the All-Star teams will face off in a battle royal next week. The Conference the winner of that battle royal is from will see the team from their Conference have the home advantage in the WWL Cup. OK, it is time for our opening game. So, let's get to it.
European Conference Championship
Paris Legion (6-4) @ London Red Coats (10-0)
(O) Incredible Badger (L) beat Tendron (P) with dropkick off the top turnbuckle. Time: 1:38. Fatigue: none (MC) Justice (P) beat Lance At-Las (L) with Shock Probation. Time: 18:14. Fatigue: Justice-3 (ME) Star Warrior (L) beat Massacre (P) via DQ. Time: 5:18. Fatigue: Star Warrior-1.
Winner: London 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: The home crowd was jumping. --- Badger started his team off red hot with a fast win. After punching Tendron in the face he went to the top and hit a dropkick. Then he did it again and made the pin. Tendron didn't even get any offense in. The crowd went wild. --- In the Mid-Card Lance At-Las hits a flying head scissors early in the match and almost got the three. Then it was a few minutes of grueling back and forth action. Justice went to the top and Lance ran up to meet him. The two struggled and Justice pushed Lance to the mat. He came down and performed Shock Probation. He didn't perform it the best but it was enough to get the pin and even up the game. --- The place was full of tension as two of the best this season squared off. Massacre was looking for the pin and upset win for Paris. Star Warrior wanted to keep his match and London's unbeaten streak alive. Star Warrior tossed Massacre into the corner and rushed in. Massacre missed and Warrior hit his shoulder and fell down to the floor. Massacre went after him and in the ref's eyes went too far with his attack resulting in the DQ. Massacre was beside himself after as he knew he cost his team. --- London is moving on to the WWL Cup.
Howard Berman: London did it. They are going to the WWL Cup with a perfect record. Will they stay perfect and win the WWL Cup or will they see their first loss of the season at the worst possible time? Who will they face, Chicago or Los Angeles?
Alice Bundy: Before we find the answer to that last question it is time to reveal the season award winners.
Rookie of the Season: Lance At-Las
Ignitor of the Season: Incredible Badger
MVP of the Season: Star Warrior
Howard Berman: As expected, it was a clean sweep for the London team. Some men like Cannibal, Exo-King and Massacre might have won some of those awards in another season but the record of those three men that won was top notch. That is to be expected of an undefeated team. Now, it is time for our second Conference Championship.
North American Conference Championship
Chicago Muscle (7-3) @ Los Angeles Stars (8-2)
(O) Invincible Krakan (LA) beat Cannibal (C) with Krakan Skullcrusher. Time: 10:44. Fatigue: Cannibal-2 (MC) Massif (C) beat Splatter (LA) with Volcanic Drop. Time: 3:17. Fatigue: Splatter-1 (ME) Bishop Hell (LA) beat Bounty Hunter (C) with Hellfire. Time: 7:55. Fatigue: Bounty Hunter-1
Winner: Los Angeles 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: The stars were out for the Stars once again. The crowd was anticipating a second trip to the WWL Cup in three seasons. --- The Opening match was a hard-hitting affair. In the end Krakan pulled it out. The crowd loved that. A "We want London" chant broke out. --- Massif took the fight to Splatter knowing he could not afford to lose if Chicago was to advance. He hit a head butt and covered for a two count. Then he hit a piledriver. Splatter rolled out to try and break Massif's momentum. When he got back in Massif hit Volcanic Drop and the match was over. The game was tied 1-1. --- Two men who knew each other well faced off in the Main Event. Hunter put up a good fight but Hell got the win. The crowd exploded as their team was going to the WWL Cup.
Alice Bundy: Los Angeles did it. They are going back to the WWL Cup. This goes to show how important the home advantage can be. Both home teams won today. Thus, the All-Star battle royal is important for both teams as they want to be at home for the WWL Cup. They will be pulling for the men from their Conference to win the battle royal.
North American Conference All-Stars: Bounty Hunter (C), Massif (C) and Invincible Krakan (LA) - Exo King (LV) will replace Invincible Krakan who will be competing in the WWL Cup.
European Conference All-Stars: Star Warrior (L), Lance At-Las (L) and Massacre (P) - Lord Nexus (B) and Wolf (F) will replace Star Warrior and Lance At-Las who will be competing in the WWL Cup.
Alice Bundy: This is the first All-Star selection for Invincible Krakan, Star Warrior, Lance At-Las, Massacre, Wolf and Exo-King. It is the second one for Massif who won the Spring 89 battle royal. Lord Nexus and Bounty Hunter are selected for the third time.
Howard Berman: Well, that wraps up this special presentation. All that is left is the All-Star Battle Royal and then the WWL Cup. It has been exciting Spring 90 season and we are coming to the end. Fall 90 looks to be just as exciting with the arrival of Chaos. So, for Alice Bundy I am Howard Berman and we will see you at the matches.

3rd WWL All-Star Battle Royal
Howard Berman: Welcome to the third WWL All-Star Battle Royal. Three men from the North American Conference and three men from the European Conference will have a battle royal. Along with winning $10,000 for themselves the winner of the battle royal will earn the home advantage for their Conference in the WWL Cup.
Alice Bundy: As we have seen the last two seasons, winning the battle royal has been HUGE for the Conference as the home team has won both WWL Cups. Let's take a look at the six men who were voted as All-Stars all though not all will compete in the battle royal.
North American Conference: Bounty Hunter (Chicago), Massif (Chicago), Invincible Krakan (Los Angeles)
European Conference: Star Warrior (London), Lance At-Las (London), Massacre (Paris)
Alice Bundy: Invincible Krakan, Star Warrior and Lance At-Las will be competing in the WWL Cup so will not be in the battle royal. Let's look at the alternates who will take their place in the battle royal.
North American Conference: Exo-King (Las Vegas)
European Conference: Lord Nexus (Barcelona) and Wolf (Frankfurt)
Howard Berman: It looks to be another great field for the battle royal and any man could win.
Alice Bundy: The one man with a slight advantage is Massif. Not only has he competed before, he won the one time he was in the battle royal in Spring 89.
Howard Berman: The time for talk is over. Let's get to the ring for the All-Star Battle Royal.
All-Star Battle Royal
- Exo-King wasted no time trying to show dominance by going after Bounty Hunter and shoving him over the top rop and down to the floor. (:17) - Not sure if that was wise by King as he eliminated a fellow North American Conference wrestler. - Wolf tried to toss Lord Nexus but could not get him over the top rope. Both men were putting a lot of effort into this. - Massacre rushed at Massif but the big man ducked and performed a back body drop sending Massacre over the top and crashing to the floor. (1:51) - There is a lot of fighting as the four remaining guys go from one opponent to the other. - Exo-King tosses Lord Nexus over the top rope however Nexus grabs the ropes and hangs on, his feet do not touch the floor. He performs skin the cat and re-enters the ring. - Exo-King then charges Massif who ducks and pulls the top rope down. King's momentum takes him over the top and onto the floor to be eliminated. (3:03) - Lord Nexus was not paying attention as he charged at Massif and also found himself deposited out to the floor like Massacre and Exo-King. (4:54) - Just like in Spring 89 Massif is dominating the action. We are down to just two men, Massif and Wolf. One man from each Conference. Who will win the home advantage for their Conference and $10,000 for themselves? - Massif gets Wolf in a bear hug then turns it into a belly-to-belly suplex and sends Wolf over the top rope and crashing to the floor. (5:56) - Massif has done it again. He has won his second All-Star Battle Royal and once again home advantage for the Los Angeles Stars. LA needs to send him a thank you of some kind.
Winner: Massif for North American Conference
Eliminations:
Exo-King-1 Massif-4
Alice Bundy: There you have it. Massif is the winner of this season's Battle Royal. He wins $10,000 for himself and home arena advantage for Los Angeles in the WWL.
Howard Berman: It was not as impressive as his win in the Spring 89 Battle Royal where he eliminated all 5 men but eliminating 4 is still pretty damn dominating.
Alice Bundy: Actagon, last year's winner, almost earned the nod to this year's All-Star team. It sure would have been fun seeing both of them compete in the Battle Royal
Howard Berman: Who knows, maybe next season. Well that wraps it up for us tonight. Stay tuned for Roller Derby from Mars and after that the Gravity Ball league will be in action. As far as WWL action, next will be the WWL Cup so make sure you tune into that to see who wins the Cup, Los Angeles or London. For Alice Bundy I am Howard Berman and we will see you at the matches.

WWL Cup Spring 90
Howard Berman: Welcome to the WWL Cup Spring 90. We have an exciting matchup as the winners of the European Conference, London Red Coats, will face the home team and winners of the North American Conference. Los Angeles Stars.
Alice Bundy: The fans are excited to see their Stars play in the WWL Cup game for the second time in three seasons. Stars from movies, TV, social media and music have come out to see the Stars. It's time to get things started and see who wins the Cup this season.
WWL Cup Spring 90:
London Red Coats (10-0) @ Los Angeles Aces (8-2)
(O) Incredible Badger (L) beat Invincible Krakan (LA) with Burrow Blast. Time: 7:39. Fatigue: Incredible Badger-1, Invincible Krakan-4 (MC) Lance At-Las (L) beat Splatter (LA) with Atlas World Beater. Time: 19:29. Fatigue: Lance At-Las-3, Splatter-3 (ME) Bishop Hell (LA) beat Star Warrior (L) with Hellfire. Time: 14:44. Fatigue: Star Warrior-4, Bishop Hell-1
Winner: London 2-1
Injuries: None
NOTES: The home crowd, full of Hollywood elite, were pumped for this game. Chants of "repeat" were heard before things started. --- The Opening match was between two of the best at starting things off including current Ignitor of the Season winner, Incredible Badger. Badger took the fight to Krakan and was dominating the action. The only time Badger came close to losing is when he came off the top rope and Krakan caught him and turned it into a power slam. Krakan covered and got a two. Once Badger got the win the crowd quieted down some. --- Speaking of Ignitor of the Season winners, a former winner was in the Mid-Card as Splatter won it in Spring 89. He was looking to ignite his team to avoid losing the game. The match had it all. Both men brawling on the floor a couple times. Both men going for high risk moves off the top rope. They both hit their finishers early to no avail. Finally, right before the 20-minute mark Lance got the win for himself and for London. --- London did it. They remained undefeated thru the regular season and post season to win the Cup. They became both the first European Conference team to win the Cup and the first team to win it on the road. --- The game was not over as there was the Main Event. Star Warrior wanted to keep his perfect record this season going. He hit a Running Star Blast and got a 2 count. He tossed Hell out of the ring but got too close to the edge. Hell grabbed his legs and dragged him to the floor. After tossing Star Warrior into the barricade around the ring he took control. This was about 7 minutes in and Bishop Hell hit Hellfire but did not get the pin. He followed up with Flying Cross and Warrior kicked out again. In the end Hellfire ended Warriors bid for perfection. For Bishop Hell it was bitter sweet as a Cup win would have been better. --- During the post-game celebration Star Warrior stated the win would have been sweeter if it had happened in front of their home fans as it should have as they had a better regular season record than Los Angeles but it is what it is. --- Incredible Badger was awarded the Playoff MVP, a new award due to two rounds of playoffs.
Alice Bundy: I am not sure if you can call this an upset as London was the road team but had the better record. Either way it was historic for them and the European Conference who win their first WWL Cup.
Howard Berman: With the Cup over the Spring 90 season is officially over. We enter the off season and head toward Fall 90. Stay tuned to ESPN Space for info on any team transactions from the four playoff teams and news about any possible trades as we head toward the Fall 90 draft. For Alice Bundy I am Howard Berman saying we will see you, at the Fall 90 draft, and then, at the matches. Good night, everyone.

WWL Roster Moves and News
With the playoffs over, the four playoff teams have made their roster moves. Here they are.
Chicago Muscle: They did not resign Proteus or Renegade. Both men are entering the Fall 90 draft.
Paris Legion: They did not resign Executioner or Tendron. In addition, they released Vanity. All three men will enter the Fall 90 draft.
Los Angeles Stars: They did not resign Lightning or Scourge. Both men will enter the Fall 90 draft.
London Red Coats: They did not resign Mesmer. He will enter the Fall 90 draft. They tried to resign Incredible Badger but he did not want to resign and instead becomes a free agent. Considering his recent track record, he should be well sought after.
In other news Rome is wheeling and dealing again. They, along with a few other teams, have been in talks with Mexico City to acquire the top overall pick. But so far, Mexico City is not budging. They want Chaos. Even with unconfirmed rumors that Rome offered two of their 1st round picks this draft and their 1st round pick in Spring 91. Rome did however make a trade. They sent the picks they got from the London Red Coats in a previous trade, 1st round pick Fall 90 (#12) and 2nd round pick Fall 90 (#24), to the New York Titans for Spike. It is well documented that Spike did not live up to the hype since New York made a trade in the first draft to get a second 1st round pick and they took Spike. Maybe a change of scenery will help as it has for some other wrestlers. Rome is also counting on The Cleansing to help out. As it is, Aethrans have been a mixed bag Cleaning or not. Outside of Spike, Massacre and Brute were the first Aethrans. They were decent the first season. They went thru The Cleansing and Massacre became a star while Brute has struggled. Then there is Mayhem who came in with a lot of fanfare as the top overall pick in the Spring 90 draft. He went a miserable 0-6 with mostly DQ losses before injuries ended his rookie season. Time will tell if The Cleansing will help Spike or not.
The reigning MVP is Star Warrior who went an impressive 10-0 in single matches this past season while leading his team to the WWL Cup. As good as he was last season, he may be even better this season. He has been working out hard with his dad and older brother, Alpha Force who me may see in the WWL in the not-so-distant future, and word is he has lost weight, put on muscle and improved his speed and agility. He looks to be even harder to beat this season.
Another man that has improved but not without controversy is Serpent Unman. He went into a machine call the Transevolver. He came out taller, heavier and more powerful. WWL officials have looked into the situation and declared that while the machine does not classify as a performance enhancing drug Serpent Unman, now going by the name Doomsday Creature, did not give the WWL office proper notification about the procedure and so will be suspended for the first two games of Fall 90. Las Vegas Ace's captain Thantos was not happy about the suspension but said it is what it is. He is happy about the new look of Doomsday Creature.
Speaking of Thanos, he is also happy with the progress of Pulsar. The two have been working out and Thantos says Pulsar is finally making the big jump he expected. Not the small improvements of last couple seasons but something big. In accordance he has dubbed Pulsar as Pulsar Prime going forward. Thantos says with the improvement of the team they will be serious contenders for the next season. Even before drafting anyone. Speaking of the draft, the ESPN Space WWL Draft preview will be coming up soon followed of course by the WWL Fall 90 draft. There is more buzz about this draft than any before it. Not only due to Chaos but names like young upstarts Bloodline and Encubus and veteran Raven make this a stacked draft. Stay tuned to ESPN Space for these specials in the near future.

WWL The Three
3) WWL officials crack down on disqualifications with new rule.
During the Spring 89 season of WWL, their first, there was a rash of matches that ended in DQ. So, going forward officials told their referees to have a bit more leeway. They did however there were still a good amount of DQs. Thus, they created a new rule. If a wrestler picks up two DQs in the season they will be suspended one game. Two more DQs will result in a two-game suspension. As unlikely as it is, if they pick up yet two more DQs they will be suspended for three games which would carry over into the next season if need be. DQs do not roll over. The front office of the Paris Legion is said to be concerned as their top draft pick, Mayhem, lost most of his matches via DQ. They are said to be working hard with him this off season to get him to pull back from the rough stuff so as not to be disqualified so much.
2) Free Agency period ends with just one signing.
There were four men available to be signed in the small post-season FA period before the draft. They were Incredible Badger, Brute, Tongsoon and Antimatter. The only one to sign was Brute who signed with the Rome Empire for 2 seasons at $120K per season. Most experts think they overpaid. As far as the top FA, Incredible Badger, he was in talks with several teams but did not come to a deal with any of them. Some still believe that after the draft he will resign with the London Red Coats.
1) Rome Empire continue to make trades.
The team that made headlines before last season when they traded Thantos away for multiple picks and turned those into numerous draft picks in the Fall 90 draft have made some more trades. They made a deal with the team they traded Thantos to, the Las Vegas Aces. Las Vesgas sent Rome their 1st round pick in Fall 90 (#5) and Rome sent Las Vegas their 1st round pick in Fall 90 (#8), their 2nd round pick Fall 90 (#16) and a 2nd round pick in Spring 91 (TBD). The 1st round pick Rome sent is one they got from New York in a trade last season. The 2nd round pick was their own. This gives Rome the #4 and #5 picks. It seems since they cannot get the top pick to select Chaos, they are trying to bulk up their roster with some of the other great talent at the top of the draft. They were not done dealing however. They finally made a trade with Mexico City Fire. Just not the one they wanted. Instead of the pick at the top of the 1st round they got the one at the top of the 2nd round. Mexico City sent their 2nd round pick Fall 90 (#13) and Rome sent them two of their 2nd round picks in Fall 90 (#17 and #20). Those were picks Rome received from Las Vegas and New York respectively in previous trades. With the trade Rome will be able to pick someone solid for their bench while Mexico City can pick a couple guys for their bench.
- In other news this looks to be the last draft for the Fall season. WWL officials have decided that there will be only one draft per year, before the Spring season. If teams want to improve in the Fall, they will have to do it via trade or FA signings as there will be no Fall draft after Fall 90.

"More leeway"? So the double roll for DQ is now a TRIPLE roll? Now wouldn't THAT be an interesting house rule? Todd C WTIC
