Chad Olson opened the show by welcoming West Coast wrestling legend and IPWās new color commentator, Excalibur!
* The masked man was expressing his gratitude to the fans for their warm welcome when The Closersā theme music interrupted him.
* Mike Verna did the talking, suggesting that if Excalibur wasnāt too much of a coward, heād come out of retirement to fight one of them.
* Excalibur retorted that they already had their hands full tonight, taking on their mortal enemies the Workhorseman in an āanything goesā encounter.
* Excalibur: āBesides, based on your records, if I came out of retirement, I would just beat you.ā
* Verna took offenseāand took a step towards the ringābut Briggs put a hand on his partnerās shoulder and quietly led him back to the locker room.
Six-Man Fray Match: Andrew Palace vs. Danhausen vs. Jake Atlas vs. James Jeffries vs. Petey Williams vs. Sammy Guevara * Palace and Atlas started the match, and the action was fast and furious from the opening moments.
* Petey Williams, Danhausen, James Jeffries, and Sammy Guevara all entered the match (in that order), with no eliminations occurring.
* Jake Atlas struck gold first, pinning Andrew Palace after his
LGB-DDT (16:45).
* A wild melee ensued and lasted quite some time until Sammy Guevara pinned Danhausen after a
630 SENTON (38:21).
* The match essentially became two-on-two after that, with Guevara and Williams teaming up against Jeffries and Atlas.
* The rule breaking tandem proved more effective, as Guevara picked up his second elimination when he pinned Jeffries after a curb stomp (46:43)ā¦
* ā¦and his third when he immediately pinned Atlas following a reverse hurricanrana (47:02).
* From there, the partnership dissolved, but Williams had already absorbed so much punishment that he was easy prey for a curb stomp.

RJ City vs. The Big Picture * RJ City was distracted early as his main rival Death Dealer came out and stood in the aisle, near the ring.
* With one eye on Death Dealer, City fell prey to a powerful onslaught from his opponent.
* A Black Hole Slam put the fan favorite down for two, drawing an animated display of frustration from Death Dealer.
* After reversing an Irish whip into the corner, City scored with a clothesline that left his opponent rocked.
* City climbed to the top rope, but as the official checked on the Big Picture, Death Dealer snuck up and shoved the fan favorite off the turnbuckle.

A THOUSAND WORDS put City on the mat for oneā¦twoā¦and that was all, drawing another angry response from Death Dealer.
* City rolled out to the floor to catch his breathā¦and Death Dealer charged, blasting him in the forehead with his chain!
* The Canadian collapsed in a heap, bleeding from the temple, and the referee called for the bell.

Ringside Interview: RJ City * Incensed by the loss, the Big Picture chased Death Dealer all the way up the aisle and into the locker room.
* Meanwhile, Chad Olson caught up with RJ City, who was rattled, but still coherent.
* City said that this beef between himself had Death Dealer had gone on long enough.
* He laid out a challenge for a one-on-one match on next weekās episode of Uprising.
* City promised victory in that match; specificallyā¦
* City: āDeath Dealer, you will fall to the man who put the entertainment back in sports entertainmentā¦ Rā¦Jā¦Citā¦ugh, my headā¦ā
Wes Brisco vs. āThe Masterpieceā Chris Masters * Masters enjoyed an obvious power advantage and exploited it fully in the opening moments of this match.
* After scoring a one-count after a power slam, Masters tossed his opponent through the ropes and to the floor.
* There, he attempted to whip Brisco into the ring steps, only to have the whip reversed and taste the steel himself.
* After that, the bout was surprisingly one-sided, with Brisco scoring near-falls after a rope-hung DDT and a
BRISCO BOMB.
* After the last kick-out, Brisco transitioned immediately into a figure four leg lock, and Masters struggled mightily just to reach the bottom rope.
* With a look of disgust, Masters rolled out to the floor and limped back up the aisle, ignoring the officialās count.
