Sectarian.

Hello. I was just curious as to why Terak's sidekick is called Sectarian. This word means the member of a sexy or group. What has that to do with the GWF character of the same name? Has this ever been explained??

He's an ape-type animal that Terak had in zoo. His group/species that he is a member of would be of the primates group.

I don’t know his origins or why he was called that but he was one of my favs. Disappointed that he lasted only one year

I have a decent theory based on stuff Tom has talked about regarding Sectarian over the years. He said he originally wanted a Planet of the Apes type character. My guess is that the original plan was for Sectarian to be a sidekick/follower to a leader type ape character that never developed. Tom said he tried his idea again w Mandrill, and was happy w the results. So without any confirmation from the man himself, that’s my best guess.

From what i got from reading his background. he was a orphan found by terak years ago. He got a job working in the cosmic zoo.

Swarm, I'd say that Tom was displeased with Sectarian almost immediately (one-year) and to compare him to Mandrill (former GWF Galaixan Champion) and that he was happier with the results is like saying water is wet.

I always wonder if there are characters he regretted, just based on how quickly they exited or how they quickly fizzled. This one, based on Tom's thoughts in his book, is pretty clear. Just really interesting.
