#57 - Power Hour on TBS
(Year 1 - Month 11 - Week 2)
This is Dynamo Powerhouse Wrestling! This is Power Hour LIVE at 6:05 Saturday on TBS SuperStation! Power Hour, as always, comes to you live from our portable arena the DPW FlexZone where we have a wild night of wrestling action in store for you! Let’s get down to the ring for our opening contest!
Pre-Match: Danhausen enters the stage accompanied by his new buddy All Ego Ethan Page. Ethan Page and his Toy Hunt Vlog Crew seem to have taken in the wayward Danhausen, which is good, he needed some real allies in DPW. His opponent steps out onto the stage, reigning DPW Boys Champion Million Bitcoin Man Ted Dibiase. Dibiase was called out last week by Absolute Ricky Starks who challenged Dibiase for the Boys Title at HORSEPOWER two weeks from tonight. Dibiase faces Danhausen on his way to the pay-per-view, Danhausen being the inaugural Boys Champion, capturing the belt 8 months ago at WPW BOYS ‘R’ US. A win against Dibiase might put the former champ back into contention for that coveted championship.
Post-Match: Danhausen wins! The Boys Champ suffers an embarrassing defeat and certainly must be in a bad mood now. Dibiase confronts Starks at ringside, insults volleying back and forth and suddenly popcorn is flying through the air, what the hell happened? All we know is that Starks is now standing over an unconscious Boys Champion who is now covered in salty, buttery goodness. Starks poses as we head backstage to the DPW Interview Set.
Backstage Interview: Backstage at the Interview Set is Big Van Vader and his new manager Paul Ellering. Ellering says, “You all saw last week when Big Van Vader sent Dan the Dad to the retirement home! He’s a beast! He’s a menace!” Vader is grimacing and growling behind his red, leather mask. “Vader is back and he’s on a mission. Big Van Vader was insulted in World Powerhouse Wrestling! He was disrespected! And he’s returned here in DPW to get that respect back! If you ever crossed paths with Big Van Vader, be ready, cause you’ll be meeting him again. Real soon–” Paul Ellering is interrupted as Boys Champion Ted Dibiase passes by after leaving the ring for his match. Dibiase interjects, “Ellering, listen to me, you tell this monster what to do now, right?” Ellering nods suspiciously. “Well, I would like to hire your monster for one week. I want Big Van Vader to take out Absolutely Worthless Ricky Starks next week on Power Hour. Make sure he doesn’t even make it to HORSEPOWER, you hear me?” Ellering thinks it over, not even consulting the monster himself, “I think we have a deal.” Dibiase lights up, “Excellent! HAHAHAHA! Alright, how much Bitcoin is this going to cost me? Vader immediately begins to growl menacingly. Ellering responds to Dibiase, “Cash. Cold. Hard. Cash.” Dibiase grumbles as he fumbles for his wallet, “Fine, next week! Squash Starks!”
Video Package: D-Meditation-Y has gone out into the desert on some sort of a Vision Quest. It appears that DPW Champion Dallas Page & his flunkie Brother Matt Sydal have eaten some funny cactus or something. Is that what’s been causing this all along? Guru Page & Brother Sydal emerge from a small teepee brimming with a strange, colorful smoke that billows out as the two men exit the tent. Sister Leyla Hirsch brings the men a drink and some fresh fruit. The men are dripping with sweat, the beads running down the chest of the champion and cascading off of the heavy, leather-strapped DPW World Heavyweight Title belt that festoons the waist of Guru Page. Hirsch inquires, “Tell us, Guru. What from the Cosmos? What does it tell you?” A wild spark ignites behind the eyes of the champion, “Sister Hirsch, the Cosmos has told me– has told us– that my reign as DPW Champion has been foretold in the stars and will last forever and ever, until the last star in the universe has collapsed upon itself and the world begins anew.” Sister Hirsch seems to understand and agree with this gobbledygook, “Yes, Guru. But what shall we do about… Warhorse?” The expression on Page’s face never changes, “The Cosmos is not concerned with these matters. Brother Sydal,” Page turns his attention to his minion, “Go, Brother Sydal. Go forth next week and show Warhorse what you have learned, what the Cosmos has taught you, make your Guru proud, and eliminate this threat to our cause.” The wild spark that we saw in Page erupts behind the eyes of Brother Matt Sydal, “Yes, Guru.” At his command, Sister Hirsch and Brother Sydal fall on their knees in front of Dallas Page and bow to him while chanting, “My savior, my Guru, my champion! My savior, my Guru, my champion!”
Pre-Match: #1 Contenders for the DPW Tag Team Titles The Black Lads make their entrance. Jay Lethal & Swerve Strickland were challenged last week by the Tag Team Champions’ manager Jim Cornette to two singles matches and tonight is the first, pitting one member of the #1 contenders against one member of the champions. Swerve Strickland is talking last-minute strategy with his partner Jay Lethal as Nugenix Express make their way to the stage. Boner Bob Backlund & Jim Cornette accompany Iron Sheik Cocky Khosrow Vaziri to the stage. The Black Lads tried to abscond with Corny’s dick pill stash last week, but of course he keeps much more than what’s in his jacket pockets. Can Sheiky show Swerve who the better wrestler truly is?
Post-Match: The Black Lads can count this as a victory but Cornette is shouting that the result was tainted and that “Lethal started it!” Lethal & Strickland pose and gloat in the ring, proclaiming that they are the superior professional wrestlers, they will capture the DPW Tag Team Titles, and that next week on “Road to HORSEPOWER” Power Hour Jay Lethal is going to prove the same to Boner Bob Backlund.
Backstage Promo: The Deuce, #2 AJ Styles is backstage at the DPW Interview Set. “That’s right, you’re looking at the Big Number Two. The Deuce. AJ Styles, #2 contender for the DPW World Title, doesn’t that have a lovely ring to it? Well, I can’t be #2 forever. My reign will have to end eventually, and it may be soon. Bryan Danielson, you and your buddy Jake Something are having a little match tonight to see who moves up the card. Guess who will be waiting? Me. Sort out your beef, boys, and give me a holler. I think I have the night free in two weeks at HORSEPOWER, who thinks they can take on The Gainesville Steamer himself?” AJ Styles ever so briefly reconsiders his choice of words but decides that, no, that’s what he wants to say. Okay.
Locker Room Segment: Ethan Page, Brody King, & Danhausen are back in the locker room celebrating Danhausen’s victory over Boys Champion Ted Dibiase earlier this evening. “I knew you could do it, buddy. You were champ for a reason, and you will be again one day, I’m sure.” Danhausen knows this is true, “Danhausen knows this is true,” he agrees. There’s a knock at the door, “Hello, Toy Hunters!” It’s Kevin Sullivan with Maria Kanellis-Sullivan draped over him. “What the hell do you want, Sullivan? Get out of here.” Sullivan smirks, “Oh, I won’t be staying, I just wanted to let you know about my new YouTube Channel.” The group looks at each other confused, “YouTube Channel?” Sullivan continues in his gravelly, sing-song tone. “Oh, yes, a YouTube Channel where my Kuckdom and I go on Toy Hunts. And Vlog about it.” Ethan Page erupts, “Hey, that’s what we do! And we’ve been doing it for a long time!” Sullivan doesn’t falter, “Not like this, boy. We have an ADULT TOY Hung Vlog, and boy, you should see what we picked up last week: Hahahahahaha, one of my Maria’s Grails! A double-sided–” SLAM, Danhausen slams the door in Sullivan’s face. “There you go, problem solved,” says Danhausen as he rubs his hands together like some sort of cricket man.
Pre-Match: The American Dragon Bryan Danielson enters the stage to chants of “Yes! Yes! Yes!” There’s no bad blood going into this next contest, just friendly competition and pure pro wrestling ability. Former partners and former foes, Danielson and Something have had a rocky relationship over the past eleven months. Both men, though, find themselves with an impressive win-loss record here in DPW and both with enough ambition to aim for the top: DPW World Heavyweight gold. This match will determine which man moves up in the rankings, inching closer and closer to Guru Dallas Page and the DPW Title. “What’s My Name?” Jake Something enters to a big pop. Jake is big. Jake is powerful. And Jake is unpredictable. Which man will move on and possibly challenge their former partner Dallas Page for the most sought-after prize in pro wrestling?
Post-Match: Ding ding ding ding! Danielson and Jake Something both had endured a grueling wrestling match and neither has the energy at the moment to defend themselves against this madman wielding such a weapon and they roll to safety. The referee is shouting at the masked man who removes his mask and hood. Who is it? It appears to be a wrestler of Samoan descent and we have not seen this man in Dynamo Powerhouse Wrestling before, but he’s clearly the new hire in the United Empire, the man that Kingpin Cobb had hired to get retribution against The American Dragon. So far the Samoan has earned his pay.
Backstage Interview: Ricky Starks is backstage at the Interview Set. “Dibiase, you punk ass little bitch, you think you can hide behind Ellering? Hide behind Vader? I’m coming for you and I’m taking that DPW Boys Title off you for good, you elitist piece of trash. I’ll kick Vader’s ass. I don’t care. Will he kick my ass too? Probably, but I don’t care if I’m crawling on my hands and knees, I’m gonna see you in that ring at HORSEPOWER, I’ll see you live on pay-per-view, and one way or another, that Boys Title belt is going home with The Stroke Daddy… bitch.” Fade out.
Locker Room Segment: Warhorse is in the locker room and as he closes his locker he finds himself face-to-face with former DPW Champion Big Daddy Drew. Warhorse exclaims, “Whoa! Drew you snuck up on me!” Drew apologizes, “Listen, Warhorse, D-Meditation-Y has challenged you to a match next week before the pay-per-view.” Warhorse says, “Oh, yeah, I know, but it’s just against Matt Sydal–” Drew cuts him off, “Don’t take Sydal lightly, Warhorse, he’s learning something from Dallas Page, and that must make him even more dangerous.” Warhorse implores the former champ, “Drew, will you come to ringside with me during that match? I could sure use another pair of eyes to look out for D-Meditation-Y’s goofy bullcrap.” Drew looks pleased, “For sure, Warhorse. I’m glad you asked.” The two men must be formulating some sort of plan to combat the wiliness of Page, Sydal, and Hirsch.
Backstage Segment: The United Empire is waiting at the Interview Set. Kingpin Cobb with the sniveling Rohit Raju behind him, face-to-face with Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher, Aussie Open. The masked Samoan enters the shot. Cobb opens, “United Empire, let me introduce to you the newest member of our group. He’s my hired hand, he’s my Samoan assassin, his name is Sefa Fatu.” Kyle Fletcher whispers a comment to Davis when the Kingpin barks, “He’ll bite off your nose and swallow it and call you the next day to ask you how his sh*t smells, do you understand?” Kyle Fletcher quiets himself. “Sefa, you did a good job tonight. Keep up the good work. And you two,” Cobb addresses Aussie Open, “You have a job to do as well. Take out that psycho Omega and that loser Ospreay. For good. Ospreay had better now show up to HORSEPOWER in two weeks with four functioning limbs, do I make myself clear?” Cobb sends his minions out to the stage for our main event of the evening.
Pre-Match: Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! Aussie Open make their way to the ring, still thinking about their group meeting moments before. Would Sefa bite off their noses if the Kingpin demanded? They have a task at hand: remove Omega and Ospreay from competition. Easy enough. The lights dim and The Terminator 2 Theme begins to play over the speakers. Smoke fills the stage and from the cloud emerges Will Ospreay, former leader and former captive of The United Empire and Kenny 2.0mega, former World Champion who claims to have been cybernetically upgraded in the future by robots and probably aliens too, who knows? Omega is wrestling his first match on Power Hour in over seven months and we haven’t seen Ospreay in action since before he was kidnapped by Jeff Cobb. Will Ospreay make it through to HORSEPOWER to get his revenge on his kidnapper?
Post-Match: Kenny 2.0mega and Will Ospreay are victorious! What a tag team they make! Ospreay is shouting at Aussie Open as they scurry back up the aisle, “Go on! Tell your Kingpin that The Aerial Assassin is back. Will Ospreay is back! I’ll see him in two weeks!” Kenny Omega slips on his shades and leather jacket and celebrates in the ring with Ospreay as our program fades to black.

Boys Champion
Ted Dibiase (11-10)
Vs.
Danhausen (9-9)
w/ Ethan Page
The Boys Champion has his way with Danhausen for a majority of this contest. Danhausen, however, is too wily for Dibiase to cinch in his fatal finishing maneuver. As Dibiase drops a falling elbow onto his opponent he notices Ricky Starks has taken a seat at ringside. Starks is smirking behind his sunglasses and casually munching on popcorn. Dibiase sees this and begins shouting outside the ring at Starks. The referee is trying to get Dibiase’s attention as Danhausen hits the Boys Champ with a slingshot German suplex and holds the bewildered Bitcoin Man’s shoulders to the mat. 1-2-3.
Result: Danhausen d. Boys Champion Ted Dibiase by pinfall following a slingshot german suplex in a non-title match
Backstage Interview: Backstage at the Interview Set is Big Van Vader and his new manager Paul Ellering. Ellering says, “You all saw last week when Big Van Vader sent Dan the Dad to the retirement home! He’s a beast!

The Black Lads tried to abscond with Corny’s dick pill stash last week, but of course he keeps much more than what’s in his jacket pockets. Can Sheiky show Swerve who the better wrestler truly is?
Swerve Strickland (5-6)
w/ The Black Lads
vs.
Tag Team Champion
Iron Sheik Khosrow Vaziri (12-4)
w/ Jim Cornette & Boner Bob
Iron Sheik uses his strength and power to his advantage but Swerve Strickland proves that youth and agility are effective attributes as well. Swerve gets several pinfall attempts on Khosrow but is unable to keep his opponent down. Khosrow gets Swerve in a never-ending Boston Crab and that’s when Scorpio Sky distracts the ref allowing Jay Lethal to smash Sheiky in the face breaking the hold. This angers Sheiky. Khosrow grabs Cornette’s tennis racquet from his manager’s hands and takes out his frustrations on Jay Lethal however Scorpio makes sure the ref turns around to witness it. Ding ding ding.
Result: Swerve Strickland d. Iron Sheik by DQ when Sheiky hits Swerve with Cornette’s tennis racquet
Backstage Promo: The Deuce, #2 AJ Styles is backstage at the DPW Interview Set. “That’s right, you’re looking at the Big Number Two. The Deuce. Bryan Danielson (12-10)
vs.
Jake Something (10-6)
What a spectacular match between these two talented individuals! Danielson tries early to hook the CROSSFACE CHICKEN WING on Jake Something but Jake’s arms are much too powerful. The action goes back and forth until Jake Something begins a series of Something Bombs on Danielson that leave him gasping for breath. Danielson makes a thrilling comeback and is finally able to hook in his CROSSFACE CHICKEN WING. Danielson is wrenching on Something, Something is biting his lip, trying to ignore the pain. WHAM! A hooded and masked individual has stormed the ring and begun smashing both men with a steel chair!
Result: Match deemed No Contest after a masked, hooded man attacks both participants

Will Ospreay (2-11) &
Kenny 2.0mega (7-4)
vs.
Aussie Open (3-2)
A spectacular tag team contest graces our main event this evening! Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis prove why they are a world renowned tag team, but Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay are on another level. Davis saves Fletcher from pinning combinations one too many times and gets the ire of the referee and when Will Ospreay hits the ESSEX DESTROYER on the agile Fletcher, Omega expertly stops Davis from saving his partner a final time.
