#60 - Power Hour on TBS
(Year 1 - Month 12 - Week 1)
This is Dynamo Powerhouse Wrestling! This is Power Hour LIVE at 6:05 Saturday on TBS SuperStation! Power Hour, as always, comes to you live from our portable arena the DPW FlexZone where we have an exciting Power Hour presentation for you this evening following our big Pay-Per-View spectacular last week, HORSEPOWER! We expect to hear live from the new DPW Champion Warhorse as well as a Huge Announcement from DPW Commissioner Rowdy Roddy Piper! But first, let’s get down to the ring for tag team action!
Pre-Match: Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher make their way to the ring being watched closely from behind by Sefa Fatu. Sefa was unsuccessful in his mission to eliminate The American Dragon Bryan Danielson from DPW and surely will have some penance to make with the leader of The United Empire Kingpin Jeff Cobb. Goro Bros, Danhausen & All Ego Ethan Page, make their way to the stage next. This unlikely friendship has grown over the previous weeks as Danhausen has begun to join Ethan on his toy hunts for his YouTube channel and they have already scored a tag team victory last week on pay-per-view against The Kinkdom, who have been harassing Danhausen & Page; has their beef been squashed?
Post-Match: Ding ding ding ding ding. Davis clubs Ethan Page in the head as Fletcher regains his composure and pulls Danhausen through the ropes. Sefa Fatu at ringside is barking at Aussie Open to continue their assault on the Goro Bros. Referees and officials swarm the ring to stop the onslaught and it’s not until Big Bad Brody King comes charging to the ring to rescue his buddies that Sefa withdraws The United Empire and they retire to the locker room to await instruction from their leader Kingpin Cobb.
Backstage Segment: Commissioner Roddy Piper is backstage at the Interview Set to make his Huge Announcement. “Ladies & gentlemen, as I announced two weeks ago, this month’s pay-per-view will be called NIGHT OF CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS where we’ll hold the Champion of Champions Tournament consisting of every former champion in Powerhouse Wrestling history! The official list of participants is as follows: former world champions Kenny Omega, Macho Man Randy Savage, Big Daddy Drew, Diamond Dallas Page, and Boys Champions Danhausen, Matt Riddle, and Ted Dibiase, and after last week, the final participant will be the new and current DPW World Heavyweight Champion, none other than Warhorse! Also, in two weeks on the “Power Hour One Year Anniversary Spectacular” we will see a big 8-man elimination tag team match pitting these 8 champions against each other and this match will help determine the brackets for the Champion of Champions Tournament. May the most dynamic powerhouse win!”
In-Ring Segment: Coming out to the stage is the new DPW Champion Warhorse! Red & yellow streamers cascade from the rafters of the FlexZone, Warhorse holds his World Heavyweight Title belt over his head as he headbangs wildly and the crowd goes wild. Warhorse lets fans kiss the biceps of the new DPW Champ as he makes his way to the ring. Warhorse takes a microphone, “Being the DPW Champion RULES ASS!” Huge pop. Warhorse thanks the fans and says that he has another very important person to thank, of course, Big Daddy Drew McIntyre! A massive, daddy-sized ovation for Drew as he comes down the aisle and joins Warhorse in the ring. “Drew, your plan to join D-Meditation-Y as a spy and saboteur was GENIUS!” Drew smiles at the new champion, “Well, DDP stole that belt from me and I wasn’t going to sit back and watch as he screwed anyone else out of a belt that they rightfully deserve.” Warhorse thanks him again and Drew adds, “Don’t forget, Warhorse, when the time is right—” Drew is cut off by D-Meditation-Y coming out to the stage. DDP yells for Brother Sydal to fetch him a microphone. DDP begins, “When the time is right, Drew my boy, it is Guru Dallas Page that will be receiving a title shot. It is D-Meditation-Y who was robbed!” Warhorse rebuts, “Page, blow it out your ass!” The crowd goes wild, “If you didn’t hear the announcement just now, it sounds like we got a busy schedule this month but I think The Champ can squeeze you in next week. How about that? Bring your flunkie Sydal and Big Daddy Drew & The Champhorse will take you out before NIGHT OF CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS! And as far as title shots go, Drew will get his shot. Page, you will get your shot, and–” The Champ is cut off, this time by the one and only AJ Styles who shoves his way out onto the stage. “Don’t forget about me. Moi. AJ Styles, new #1 contender for the DPW Title. I’m gonna get my shot–” Everyone ignores Styles as Warhorse’s music begins to play and he and Big Daddy Drew stand atop the corner turnbuckles, banging their heads and flexing their pecs.
Backstage Interview: Bussy, Effy & Allie Katch, are backstage at the DPW Interview Set. Effy begins, “Bussy showed the world at HORSEPOWER that we are not a joke. We are not a punchline. Bussy is a force to be reckoned with.” Allie continues, “We had a good match against PME on the pre-show and we’re itching to show the world what we can do.” Effy whispers, “Is it still itching?” Allie whispers back, “Not all the time,” and they stare at each other before she continues, “We’re gonna let everyone get a taste of Bussy and see how they like it!” Effy adds, “I’m glad to be with a partner who I can really trust. It’s been a while.” Effy and Allie exit the Interview Set moments before a lighting rig falls from the ceiling and crashes to the floor. A figure wearing a white half-mask, reminiscent of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera, retreats from the shadows and up into the scaffolding backstage. Who is this masked man?
Pre-Match: Maria Kanellis-Sullivan stands center stage as The Kinkdom make their entrance, each one giving Maria a kiss on the cheek as they pass by: Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, and finally Kevin Sullivan who sticks his tongue down Maria’s throat and they trail behind Bennett and Taven on their way to the ring for this tag team contest. Philly Marino Experience haven’t had much success in the tag team division here in DPW, most recently losing to Bussy on the HORSEPOWER pre-show, but afterwards a mysterious, masked individual beckoned them backstage promising to teach them to be tag team champions. Has this man been training Philly C and Marino T? Who is this masked man?
Post-Match: Maria and Kevin are busy making out on the timekeeper’s table that they do not notice PME blindsiding Bennett & Taven and wrenching them into stereo submission maneuvers in the middle of the ring: FUJIWARA ARMBARS! DPW officials break up the melee and usher these teams back to the locker room. What a distinct, new offense from PME! Who is this masked man and what has he been teaching them?
Backstage Interview: Vader and his manager Paul Ellering are backstage at the DPW Interview Set. Vader is sweating and growling behind his red, leather mask and Ellering begins, “Kenny Omega. How dare you prance around Dynamo Powerhouse Wrestling and make a mockery of this business? Of this sport? You didn’t beat Big Van Vader at HORSEPOWER, you let that coward referee disqualify Vader! You took the win like the pansy that you are. I hear you got a big tag team match and tournament coming up and as the inaugural WPW World Champion you’re the OG, right? Big Van Vader will see to it that you do not make it to NIGHT OF CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS. Hell, you won’t even make it to the Power Hour Anniversary Spectacular, you’ll be squashed, mashed, stirred & sauteed and the last thing you’ll see before your mainframe shuts down is this red mask. Next week, Kenny. Do you got the microchips?” Vader means business and he’ll be waiting for Kenny Omega in seven days!
Backstage Segment: The United Empire is backstage. Kingpin Cobb is addressing his troops. Assembled in front of him are his Samoan Assassin Sefa Fatu, Aussie Open’s Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher, and Cobb’s Right Hand Man Rohit Raju. “Men, I’m disappointed. You couldn’t get the job done last week at HORSEPOWER, Sefa. Danielson is still a thorn in my side,” he turns to Aussie Open, “and you two couldn't even beat Goro Bros earlier tonight–” he’s cut off by Kyle Fletcher, “Hey, you didn’t beat Ospreay last week eith–” SLAP! Rohit slaps Fletcher across the face and Cobb smirks. “You have failed me, all of you. Well, almost all of you. Fletcher, Davis, Sefa, go back to the cabin and check on the puppy! And Rohit, my Right Hand Man, you’re the only one who has not let me down. You will be my partner tonight and we will shut Danielson and Ospreay up for good. Go. NOW!” His men fall out of line. How much longer can this empire remain united?
Pre-Match: The American Dragon Bryan Danielson has been fending off The United Empire for many weeks now and not even the Samoan Assassin Sefa Fatu could take out The Dragon last week. Ospreay still wants his revenge on Kingpin Cobb for usurping him, kidnapping him, caging him, and et cetera, and Ospreay only got the victory over Cobb last week due to Rohit Raju’s interference. Will Ospreay finally get his hands on The Kingpin? Kingpin Cobb and his partner for the evening Rohit Raju make their way to the ring. Raju looks nervous, he doesn’t want to fail his Kingpin like the others have.
Post-Match: Kingpin Cobb must be at the end of his rope. He cannot deal with this group of losers. At this rate he’ll never get the shot at DPW gold he feels he richly deserves. Cobb will certainly have a lot to say to his men when they regroup at The Cabin and surely Danielson & Ospreay have intentions of shutting down The United Empire for good and ridding Dynamo Powerhouse Wrestling of their presence for good.
Promo Video: Jim Cornette and the DPW Tag Team Champions Nugenix Express are standing in line at airport security. “Nugenix Express has proven time and again that they are the best team in professional wrestling today. Boner Bob Backlund and Cocky Khosrow Vaziri are two athletes in their prime and–what? My shoes?” A TSA Agent is instructing Corny to remove his shoes and belt. “My belt, too? Ya hear that boys? Take ‘em off.” Boner Bob and Iron Sheik remove their DPW Tag Team Title belts and drop them with a clang on the conveyor belt. “Step through here, sir.” “What?” Corny turns to the camera, “Listen, Nugenix Express has earned some time off, and that’s where we’re going. Vacation. Those perverts and weirdos and other ‘contenders’ in DPW can fight amongst themselves for a month. We’ll be back once we’re good and tan and–” “Sir, are you flying with any medication?” “Why, what did you find in my bag? Hey, now don’t touch those, those DICK PILLS are expensive!!” As they unzip Corny’s carry-on the TSA agent discovers bottles and bottles of Nugenix Total-T. “Hey, don’t touch that!” Corny turns to the camera and says, “This is gonna be a long month,” as Backlund and Sheiky can be seen in the background arguing over which identical tag team title belt belongs to whom.
Backstage Interview: AJ Styles is at the DPW Interview Set. “I’m tired of getting looked over here in DPW. I’m no longer crap. I’m no longer #2. I’m The Deuce no more. I’m now the #1 contender for the DPW Title, I’m the One & Only, The Ace AJ Styles and when my time comes I’m taking out the DPW Champion, whoever that may be, and nobody is going to stop me. Matt Riddle gets a shot in the CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS Tournament because he was Boys Champion? That’s cute. Tonight I’m gonna put him down like a dog and prove that I should be in that tournament, not him, and soon The Ace is gonna be at the top of DPW.” Styles flips his hair and leaves to go to the ring for his match.
Pre-Match: We haven’t seen Matt Riddle in DPW for months, but as the man who defeated inaugural Boys Champion Danhausen to hold the title, Matt Riddle will be in the CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS Tournament in 3 weeks. Matt Riddle successfully defended the Boys Title one time, against Rohit Raju at WPW CLASH AT CASTLE CORNETTE before losing the title to current-champion Ted Dibiase. On the other hand, AJ Styles challenged for the WPW World Title at WPW IN HeAT but now is deserving of his first shot at the Undisputed DPW World Heavyweight Championship and The Ace thinks he’s #1. Styles traverses the aisle way with purpose and he means business tonight.
Post-Match: Riddle may have an uphill battle this month because there’s no telling which former DPW champions he’ll come up against in the CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS Tournament. AJ Styles will be watching closely as well, biding his time until he can pounce on the DPW Champion and take the gold for himself. When will his time come?
Locker Room Segment: Macho Man Randy Savage is back in the locker room, “Champion of champions, yeah, that’s the night, that’s the tournament, that’s the name of the game. Champion of champion of champion of champions. Macho Man held that world championship longer than anyone, yeah. It’s MY belt. It’s mine. I was the first Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion, yeah. UNDISPUTED! Dig it? Macho Man still has the best win-loss record of all time and this month you will see why Macho Madness lives forever and forever and forever and forev—-”
In-Ring Segment: As we prepare for our main event we’re surprised by the arrival of DPW Boys Champion Million Bitcoin Man Ted Dibiase. He walks out to the ring and takes a mic, “All week long I’ve been harassed by DPW fans angry that Ricky Starks did not win the Boys Title. COULD not win the Boys Title is more like it, HAHAHAHAHAHA! He doesn’t deserve a rematch,” the fans boo relentlessly at this comment, “but maybe I’ll give him one. We’ll see how he fares during tonight’s main events against one of the greatest of all time, former DPW Champion Macho Man!” Dibiase joins the commentary desk to observe this main event contest.
Pre-Match: Absolute Ricky Starks makes his way to the ring to a big pop. The fans are still behind The Stroke Daddy in his quest for Boys gold here in DPW. Ricky Poses on the corner and then continues spouting verbal assaults at Dibiase at ringside. Dibiase cheated to retain the Boys Title at HORSEPOWER and neither Starks nor Starks’ fans will let the Million Bitcoin Man forget it. “Pomp & Circumstance” brings Macho Man Randy Savage out to the stage. Savage has had his ups and downs since dropping the DPW Title to Big Daddy Drew but he plans to use these opportunities this month to show the world that Macho Man is truly the greatest champion that DPW has ever seen.
Post-Match: HAHAHAHAHAHA! Dibiase enters the ring and stands above the fallen body of Ricky Starks. Dibiase pulls a few $100 bills out of this breast pocket and hands them to Macho Man. It’s a pay off! Dibiase calls for a microphone, “Hey, Ricky Stinks. If this is all you got, I don’t mind stepping into the ring with you one more time because I don’t think you’re even the slightest threat to me or my DPW Boys Title. If you want me, you got me, next week on Power Hour, but Ricky, if you don’t win the title next week, that’s it. You hear that, little buddy? You won’t get to challenge me for the DPW Boys Title belt again. EVER!” Dibiase drops the mic right onto the ribcage of poor Ricky and steps through the ropes. Dibiase is going to defend the Boys Title belt against Ricky Starks one last time next week on Power Hour! You don’t wanna miss it!

Goro Bros (1-0)
[Ethan Page & Danhausen]
vs.
The United Empire’s
Aussie Open (3-3)
[Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher]
w/ Sefa Fatu
What a contest to open Power Hour this week on TBS! Both Goro Bros and Aussie Open make quick tags and both teams demonstrate that they are bound for Powerhouse gold in the future. Ethan Page hits his EGO’S EDGE on Kyle Fletcher but Mark Davis makes the save. After a few more strategic tags Ethan Page hits Fletcher this time with his RKEgo and goes for the cover. 1-2-no! Mark Davis grabs the ref and tosses him out of the ring to save his partner but in the process gets his team disqualified.
Result: Goro Bros d. Aussie Open by DQ when Davis attacks referee during a pinfall attempt
Post-Match: Ding ding ding ding ding. Davis clubs Ethan Page in the head as Fletcher regains his composure and pulls Danhausen through the ropes. Sefa Fatu at ringside is barking at Aussie Open to continue their assault on the Goro Bros. The Kinkdom (0-2)
[Matt Taven & Mike Bennett]
w/ Kevin & Maria Kanellis-Sullivan
vs.
Philly Marino Experience (1-5)
[Philly C & Marino T]
The Kinkdom bring their A-game tonight but PME do not go down without a fight. Marino and Philly take their time double teaming Matt Taven outside the ring, even performing what looked like a HEATSEEKER PILEDRIVER on the concrete floor. PME show much more of an edge in their offense this evening but in the end Mike Bennett rolls up Philly C after a spot-on superkick right to the chin. 1-2-3.
Result: The Kinkdom d. PME when Bennett pins Collins following a superkick
Rohit slaps Fletcher across the face and Cobb smirks. “You have failed me, all of you. Well, almost all of you. Fletcher, Davis, Sefa, go back to the cabin and check on the puppy! Raju looks nervous, he doesn’t want to fail his Kingpin like the others have.
Bryan Danielson & Will Ospreay
vs.
The United Empire’s
Kingpin Cobb & Rohit Raju
Danielson and Ospreay take their turns wearing down poor Rohit Raju for the majority of the match. Ospreay misses a SHOOTING STAR PRESS giving Raju a second wind but Danielson comes back in and takes him down. Raju is unable to make it back to his corner to tag out of this contest as Danielson and Ospreay take him to task. Cobb does help break up several pinfall attempts, but Rohit meets the same fate as his contemporaries, losing to the foes of The United Empire as Ospreay gets the cover on Rohit after a neckbreaker. Cobb seems to gesture that he’s done bailing out his Right Hand Man who cannot recover this time.
Result: Danielson & Ospreay d. United Empire when Ospreay pins Raju following a neckbreaker
Promo Video: Jim Cornette and the DPW Tag Team Champions Nugenix Express are standing in line at airport security. “Nugenix Express has proven time and again that they are the best team in professional wrestling today. Styles traverses the aisle way with purpose and he means business tonight.
#1 Contender for DPW Title
“The Ace” AJ Styles (12-5)
vs.
Matt Riddle (6-5)
Matt Riddle may put in a good performance in the CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS tournament but tonight he shows his ring rust and just cannot keep up with the veteran AJ Styles. After a spirited battle, Riddle whips Styles into the ropes and bends to deliver a back drop when Styles scouts this and hooks Riddle into a STYLES CLASH, covering the shoulders for the 1-2-3.
Result: AJ Styles d. Matt Riddle by pinfall following STYLES CLASH
Absolute Ricky Starks (10-12)
vs.
Macho Man Randy Savage (19-6)
Starks is able to hit his ROSHAMBO on the former world champ but Macho Man kicks out at 1. Other than that, this match consists of a barrage of flying elbows and knee drops to the young, up-and-coming contender. Dibiase is enjoying every second of it at the commentary desk. Ricky Starks ascends the turnbuckle when Macho Man recovers and tosses young Ricky off the rope to the middle of the ring. Dibiase stands up, shouting, “Do it! Do it, Macho! Drop the elbow!” Macho Man does it. He drops the FLYING ELBOW DROP right across the throat of Ricky Starks and hooks the leg for the pinfall victory.
Result: Macho Man d. Starks by pinfall following FLYING ELBOW DROP
