#64 - Power Hour on MTV

(Year 2 - Month 1 - Week 1)

Welcome back to POWER HOUR on MTV! This is Dynamo Powerhouse Wrestling! This is the spot for the hottest pro wrestling in the world! Power Hour, as always, comes to you live from our portable arena the DPW FlexZone where we are kicking off our second year with a bang! Tonight’s Main Event will determine the FIRST EVER MTV CHAMPION and we also expect to hear a reaction from DPW Boys Champion Absolute Ricky Starks after being unceremoniously attacked by new 2-time DPW Champion Galloway following the Champion of Champions Tournament at NIGHT OF CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS!

In-Ring Segment: DPW Commissioner Rowdy Roddy Piper is on the stage at the entrance curtain underneath the FlexTron standing next to a pedestal displaying the brand-new MTV Championship Title belt. “Welcome to Power Hour on MTV! Welcome to a new era in Dynamo Powerhouse Wrestling, and as the DPW Commissioner I’m proud to announce the new television title, the MTV Title, that will be awarded in tonight’s main event! Also, it will be defended every single week on MTV!” Who will be fighting for the title tonight? “I just so happened to spill some ink onto this open contract here and when I cleaned up the mess, it just so happens that the ink stained the contract in a perfect facsimile of my signature, so I figured, what the heck, I’ll just leave it.” The crowd’s reaction is mixed. “But then who, just who will be my opponent for this brand-spankin-new title belt right next to me? The Hot Rod has never stepped foot inside a Powerhouse Wrestling ring as a competitor, who thinks they have what it takes, eh?” Nobody seems to be answering the call. “Nobody, eh? Well, then, maybe ol’ Hot Rod will just have to proclaim himself the champion since there doesn’t seem to be a single schmuck back in the locker room that can take me? Nobody?” The crowd has begun to boo the Commissioner. This must be a conflict of interest, him competing for the title! The boos mount until a big pop as someone steps through the curtain to shut the loudmouth commissioner up. It’s “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka who snatches the microphone from Piper, “You got a lot of nerve putting yourself in the title match, Commissioner–” Piper snatches the mic back, “Nerve? Nerve? Hey, brother, I thought our beef was settled years ago, I thought you climbed riiiight back up into that tree you fell from and hit your head, right? That’s what makes you think crazy things, and do crazy things, right? Like stepping up to Hot Rod, live on MTV and taking his microphone?” Piper swings at Snuka, Snuka swings at Piper, DPW officials are pulling the men apart and coconuts are flying up into the air. Where did those come from? Anyway, it’s going to be an electric encounter in our main event tonight as Rowdy Roddy Piper and Superfly Jimmy Snuka go one-on-one to determine the inaugural MTV Champion! Stay tuned!



Backstage Segment: In the dark hallways backstage, PME is getting a pre-match pep-talk from their mentor, the mysterious masked man trolling the boiler rooms beneath the arena known to PME only as The Phantom of the FlexZone, who has promised the duo that he will train them to become DPW Tag Team Champions. “I’ve arranged two more world-class opponents for you boys tonight. You will do as I have instructed. You will take them out and you will soon prove that with my help, the sky's the limit. You’ll be holding tag team gold in no time.” Philly C raises his voice, “Do we really have to do all you said? Everything?” The Phantom looks down at his protege and a scowl of disgust creeps from the edges of his white half-mask, “Everything. We’re sending a message to–” The Phantom stops himself, “sending a message to all the teams that stand in my way. I mean, our way. Your way.” Marino opens his mouth to say something and The Phantom snaps, “Go! Now! Do as I have instructed! Get ‘em, boys!” And the men head through the curtain to fulfill their master’s twisted demands.



Pre-Match: PME enter through the curtain, no longer wearing their usual colorful ring gear and no longer dancing and posing for the crowd; their training is becoming more and more evident as the weeks go by, they are serious about this quest for tag team gold. They slide into the ring and stare down their opponents who are already waiting in the ring. The ring announcer is still announcing the team of Steinborn & Stone as Marino T and Philly C jump start the match and begin beating on the men, the ref gets two men out to the apron and calls for the bell.

Post-Match: Ding ding ding ding ding! The timekeeper is going nuts on the ring bell as PME continues their beatdown on Steinborn & Stone. Philly C looks at Marino T and they nod at each other, committing to following the orders of their master. The duo drapes the two men over the ropes from the apron and smashes both men with a HEATSEEKER PILEDRIVER down onto the bare arena floor! A puddle of blood is pooling on the cold concrete with an ivory incisor or two swimming in it. Steinborn & Stone have lost their front teeth! What a gruesome scene! It appears that PME’s mission is complete as they leave their victims lying motionless at ringside and return back to the depths beneath the FlexZone for further training with their mysterious masked mentor. What message are they trying to send? And to whom?



Backstage Interview: BUSSY is backstage at the DPW Interview Set and Allie Katch opens, “BUSSY is ready and willing to compete for the DPW tag team titles, we hit a snag two weeks ago against The Kinkdom but–” Effy cuts her off and continues, “but we’re going to reach around, come from behind, and show everyone the goods.” Allie responds, “Sure, something like that.” Effy finishes, “BUSSY will be waiting for our next opportunity to blow everyone–” Allie adds, “Away! Blow everyone away!” Effy winks at the camera, “Right.” The lights in the Interview Set flicker for a moment before BUSSY leaves giving Effy an uneasy feeling.



Locker Room Promo: Brody King is back in the locker room taping up his fists, “Sefa Fatu, whatever you wanna be called now, The United Empire is dead. It’s gone, but you are still responsible for your actions. You attacked me. You attacked my friends. I don’t care that your cabin burned down and your friends can’t play with you anymore, I’m going to show you what happens when you anger the wrong dog. You’re gonna get bit.”



Pre-Match: Big Bad Brody King makes his way to the ring and he’s ready for a fight. His opponent steps out onto the stage, Sefa Fatu is no longer attached to The United Empire and he’s beginning his own path of destruction. How will SeFa fare without Aussie Open or Rohit Raju to bail him out of a tight spot?

The Samoan Serial Killer SeFa is one to watch out for.



Video Promo: Jim Cornette is in his luxury suite on a caribbean cruise, but he’s not been enjoying his vacation. Not since one of his Tag Team Champions got lost at sea. Cornette hangs up his telephone, “I’ve been on the phone with the coast guard, the marines, the local fishermen, Steve Zisou for the love of God, trying to get news. Boner Bob has gone overboard and he hasn’t turned up. I’ve been waiting and waiting–” the phone rings and Cornette frantically answers it, “Hello?! Oh, Paul, it’s you. Thanks for returning my call — No, we haven’t found him yet — well, that’s why I called. I got a business proposition for you — Vader is still for hire, isn’t he? — That’s what I thought, and do you still keep in contact with your old boys? — You do? Well, I’ll meet you at the FlexZone next week and we’ll talk business. And I’d like the Road Warriors to take out those perverts Taven & Bennett, and maybe I won’t even need Vader’s services — See you next week, Paul.” Cornette suddenly realizes that the camera was still rolling, “What? Hey! You gotta delete that tape! You can’t air that!” Fade to black.



In-Ring Segment: DPW Boys Champion Ricky Starks heads down the aisle carrying a microphone in one hand and his coveted Boys Title belt in his other. Ricky opens, “We were having a great night last week, weren’t we? Everything was going great until someone decided not to play nice with others. I’m referring of course to Big Daddy Drew– or, I’m sorry, GALLOWAY. I’d hate to anger the champ since I know he will kick you in the yambag for no reason whatsoever,” Ricky winces as he remembers the unsolicited low-blow The Stroke Daddy suffered at NIGHT OF CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS last week. “Absolute Ricky Starks could have been in the C.O.C. Tournament– make that should have, so I think it's not truly settled yet who the best of the best is. Galloway, the Boys Champion is calling you out. Absolute Ricky Starks. Galloway. Champion vs. Champion. SLAMALAMADINGDONG!” The crowd goes crazy, everyone wants to see who is the real champion of champions, “And don’t think I’m the only person you p*ssed off last week,” music hits and Warhorse enters the stage and joins Ricky Starks in the ring. Starks hands Warhorse the mic, “Drew, you screwed me. You screwed Ricky. You screwed the fans of Dynamo Powerhouse Wrestling. And you screwed yourself. I may be suffering the effects of your cowardice–” Warhorse pushes the hair off his forehead revealing a large scar from Galloway’s attack with the DPW Title belt last week, “but I’m not letting you get away with this! You screwed yourself because you put a target on your back and now you got me, you got Ricky, AJ, everyone is gunning for you. Do you have the yams to show up next week and answer our challenges?” Ricky Starks poses with his Boys Title and Warhorse does the most vigorous headbang he’s capable of given his injuries; these men have laid down the challenge to DPW Champion Galloway. How will he respond?



Backstage Promo: Claudio Castagnoli is backstage at the DPW Interview Set. “It seems everyone has forgotten about King Claudio. That’s right, I won an 8-man tournament to become the inaugural Dynamo Pro Heavyweight Champion. That’s in the record books. I held that title when Dynamo Powerhouse Wrestling was formed and I defended it on the first DPW pay-per-view event UNDISPUTED. Why wasn’t Claudio in the Champion of Champions Tournament? It’s a conspiracy. I may have to make a date with one Mr. Galloway and see who really can lay claim to Champion of Champions, because I don’t think that Warhorse and Ricky Starks are the only ones coming away from NIGHT OF CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS with more questions than answers.” Claudio looks directly into the camera, “Watch out, Galloway.”



Pre-Match: Claudio Castagnoli makes his way out to the ring, the self-proclaimed forgotten champion, we haven’t seen Claudio since he lost a #1 Contenders match against Diamond Dallas Page on Power Hour several months ago and he has a legitimate argument to face DPW Champion Galloway, but there are several other contenders in his way. Claudio’s opponent this evening is powerhouse wrestling OG Dan the Dad. Dan the Dad suffered terrible injuries a couple months ago after getting squashed in Big Van Vader’s return to DPW, hopefully Dan is at the top of his game to compete against a former Heavyweight Champion this evening.

Claudio makes short work of Dan the Dad. Dan gets walloped by several European uppercuts before being drilled down into the mat with Claudio’s brutalizing NEUTRALIZER and the fat lady has sung.

Post-Match: Claudio heads back up the aisle and as he makes it to the stage he’s greeted through the curtain by #1 Contender “The Ace” AJ Styles screaming, “Me! Moi! I’m the #1 contender!” Claudio says, “Listen here, AJ, I’m not taking your title shot, I’m just saying that I deserve it more than you do.” AJ is getting fired up, “You think so? You think so? You think you proved something tonight by beating Dan the Dad?” Dan the Dad is currently being ushered backstage by medical personnel. “I can do that, too. Watch me. Next week, I’m gonna kill Dan the Dad. Just destroy him–” Dan the Dad can be seen protesting to what he’s hearing but the medical staff is having none of it, “I’m gonna bury Dan the Dad on Power Hour and then other than, well, you having been Heavyweight Champion already, you’re no better than me, you got that?” Claudio doesn’t really follow the logic, but whatever, Styles is a bit of a nutjob but he can certainly take care of himself in the ring. Dan the Dad needs to rest up.



Promo Video: The Kinkdom is backstage at the DPW Interview Set. Kevin Sullivan stops making out with Maria Kanellis-Sullivan to say, “Ah, my boys have wormed– I mean, worked their way to this #1 contendership and they’re going to show Nugenix Express who rules the tag team division in DPW when Matt Taven and Michael Bennett challenge Cornette's losers for the Tag Team belts in 3 weeks at SLAMALAMADINGDONG I.” He gropes at Maria and sticks his tongue back down her throat as Bennett continues, “And we don’t care who we have to demolish between now and then. Road Warriors? Who do these guys think they are, Mel Gibson?” Taven interjects, “I only have one question for these Road Warriors: where’d you get your gear? I love the metal studs.” Kevin Sullivan blurts out, “Oh, yes! And the collars! I’ve been wanting to get one for my Princess of Darkness,” Kevin slaps Maria’s derriere. Bennett finishes, “We’re gonna put the brakes on those Road Warriors and take out Nugenix Express and take those belts!” Taven ponders, “Do you think we could add little spikes to the title belts?” They bicker about leather straps, etc. as we head back out to the ring.



Pre-Match: Jake Something boasts an impressive record in DPW. He’d be within grasp of DPW gold if only he’d beaten AJ Styles in their contenders match last month, but he’s still fighting to show everyone that Jake Something is a force to be reckoned with. Jake awaits his opponent. Big pop for Danhausen as he makes his way to the ring. Danhausen has been having much success with Ethan Page as Goro Bros in the tag team division, but his impressive performance in the C.O.C. (namely defeating longest reigning World Champion Macho Man Randy Savage) has inspired Danhausen to keep in single’s contention here in DPW. Can his lucky streak continue?

Danhausen puts up a good fight tonight but Jake Something is a lot of man and he’s got a lot to prove. Danhausen tries his best but Jake Something misses no opportunity to show off his massive strength and power and Danhausen cannot compete with that tonight. Following one MFKR Something plants a foot over the chest of the face-painted one and ref counters a mercifully quick three.

Post-Match: “What’s my name? SOMETHING!” rings throughout the FlexZone as Jake stands tall above the fallen Danhausen. Jake doesn’t want to be left behind in this New Era in DPW and Danhausen will surely find success again soon, whether for the Tag Team Titles or maybe the new MTV Title would be nice to add to the collectionhausen.



Backstage Segment: Bobby “The Brain” Heenan is strolling through the corridors backstage. Heenan appeared on an early episode of WPW Power Hour managing Jim Cornette in the B1 CLIMAX tournament. Who is he backstage to see? As he’s walking past a pile of trash and rusted audio equipment he hears a rustling beneath a heap of wires. As he leans closer to investigate he’s suddenly startled backwards as he hears, “SYSTEM REBOOT! SYSTEM REBOOT!” A figure stands up from the mangled debris and addresses Bobby Heenan, “Are you my… father?” Heenan looks around, “Are you talking to me?” The figure replies, “My system has been rebooted. You are my father.” Heenan is confused, “What? I don’t know what you’re on about, leave me alone!” As Heenan backs away he is followed by a–now evidently nude–Kenny Omega having another existential meltdown. “Father! Come back!”



Locker Room Segment: Absolute Ricky Starks is in the locker room talking with Warhorse. “Galloway had better show up next week and face what’s coming to him!” Warhorse responds, "Ricky, he’s all yours at SLAMALAMADINGDONG, but when he shows his face next week I’m going to RULE ASS all over that backstabber!” Ricky opens his locker and taped to the inside is a blank business card in the distinctive silhouette of the world-famous Playboy Bunny. “Warhorse, did you see who put this in my locker?” Warhorse is intrigued as well, “No, I didn’t see. What does it mean?” The Boys Champion looks at the symbol, “I wish I knew.”



MTV Musical Segment: Cyndi Lauper plays “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” for the live crowd in the FlexZone and to the delight of old-school wrestling fans worldwide, hearkening back to a bygone era where pro-wrestling ruled on MTV, and now it does again!



Pre-Match: Commissioner Rowdy Roddy Piper signed himself into this main event title match which just doesn’t seem fair. The crowd boos the Hot Rod as he walks down the aisle for the first time as a competitor in Dynamo Powerhouse Wrestling. He soaks up the jeers from the crowd and focuses his energy on the task at hand: win the MTV Title by any means necessary. His opponent makes his entrance for his debut in DPW, “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka being valeted by his girlfriend Nancy. She escorts him to the ring where he climbs the turnbuckle and poses for the crowd, flashbulbs exploding all over the FlexZone. This is going to be an old-school brawl! Let’s get it on!

Snuka hits Piper with a devastating samoan drop which knocks the Commissioner silly for a moment but once Piper hooks in his signature SLEEPERHOLD it’s all over and we have our first TV champion!

Post-Match: Jimmy Snuka’s girlfriend Nancy is smacking him in the face trying to get him to wake up. Commissioner Rowdy Roddy Piper is holding his MTV Title belt up claiming supremacy over Snuka as somebody walks up from behind him and taps him on the shoulder. Piper turns to be face-to-chest with none other than Gorilla Monsoon! Monsoon has a mic, “Piper! You violated your commissioner contract the moment you signed your name to that championship match contract!” Piper is yelling back, “What are you talking about?” Monsoon continues, "Piper, the DPW Board of Directors will not stand for this! You are being stripped of your commissionership!” Piper is furious, “What? You can’t do that? Who do you think you are?!” Gorilla Monsoon subtly smirks, “Who do I think I am?” “Yeah!” Gorilla Monsoon scoops Roddy Piper up over his chest and plants him in the middle of the ring with a giant body slam! “I’m the new Dynamo Powerhouse Wrestling Commissioner! That’s who!” Piper is writing in pain next to his MTV Title belt and the crowd is going wild for this turn of events!

Welcome back to POWER HOUR on MTV! This is Dynamo Powerhouse Wrestling! Power Hour, as always, comes to you live from our portable arena the DPW FlexZone where tonight we expect to hear a response from DPW Champion Galloway after being challenged by Boys Champion Ricky Starks and Warhorse! #1 Contenders for the Tag Team Titles The Kinkdom square off against the Road Warriors and we’ll kick things off with the very first defense of the MTV Title by former Commissioner Rowdy Roddy Piper, and speaking of commissioner…

In-Ring Segment: DPW Commissioner Gorilla Monsoon welcomes the crowd to Power Hour on MTV right here in the FlexZone! “As you recall last week, Boys Champion Ricky Starks challenged DPW Champion Galloway to a match in two weeks at SLAMALAMADINGDONG I and Warhorse challenged him to a match tonight.” the crowd goes wild, “however, Galloway has not arrived at the FlexZone yet this evening–” massive prolonged boos from the crowd, “We will keep you up to date when we hear from the Champion. We know that—” Monsoon is distracted by MTV Champion Rowdy Roddy Piper who saunters down the aisle making mockery of the new Commissioner. Just last week Piper was body slammed in the middle of this ring by his new boss just after becoming the inaugural television champion. Piper steps into the ring and approaches Monsoon. “What do you want, Piper?” Roddy Piper snatches the microphone out of his hand, “What do I want? I want to kick your ass is what I want, but, but, but, I ain’t gonna do that, nuh uh, no. What else I want, though, is for you to tell me who it is I’m going to be defeating tonight to keep this shiny MTV Title belt around the waist of Hot Rod?” Gorilla Monsoon has a glint in his eye and a smirk on his lips, “There is one man who contacted me and asked for a match with you. Someone who feels you slighted him a time or two, a disgruntled former co-worker, if you will–” Piper shouts, “Just tell me who it is, Monsoon!” Gorilla replies, “Alrighty then, Piper. The first challenger for your MTV Championship will be… former Dynamo Pro Commissioner, your former DPW Assistant Deputy Commissioner, Olympic gold-medalist Kurt Angle!” Piper is furious! He actually didn’t remember if he was still in jail somewhere after Angle’s spat with Danhausen. Kurt Angle’s theme hits and the Legendary Olympian makes his way to the ring to a big pop from the crowd. The Commissioner passes by Angle as Monsoon returns to the Gorilla Position behind the curtain and this match is underway!

Kurt Angle’s pent up aggression towards his former boss is let loose upon the MTV champion; many nights spent in jail due to Piper’s mismanagement has not been forgotten. Piper, though, uses his street smarts and cheating tactics to keep the upper hand on his olympic opponent. Angle hoists Piper up into an OLYMPIC SLAM but a quick poke to the eyes causes Angle to lose his grip allowing the champ to catch the challenger in a SLEEPERHOLD.

Result: Roddy Piper d. Kurt Angle by knockout with a SLEEPERHOLD to retain the MTV Title

Post-Match: Rowdy Roddy Piper has made his first successful defense of the MTV Title and he snatches the belt from the referee while shouting to the back, “Gorilla, that was nothing! Why don’t you give me a real challenge?” Gorilla Monsoon steps through the curtain to shout back and forth with the boisterous champ in the ring. Gorilla reaches through the curtain to grab a microphone, “Piper, you won’t have to wait until next week to learn who your next challenger is. Get ready for next week–” Ride of the Valkyries blares through the speakers and Commissioner Monsoon is joined on the stage by Bryan Danielson! “YES! YES! YES!” The crowd is in an uproar! Will The American Dragon be able to wrestle the MTV Title away from The Hot Rod? Tune in next week!



Backstage Interview: Will Ospreay is backstage at the DPW Interview Set, “What a year it’s been for Will Ospreay. After all the ups and downs I’ve been able to move on from The United Empire and look forward to a bright future in DPW,” Ospreay looks directly into the camera lens, “To all the competition in DPW: whether we’ve wrestled 100 times before or never once, this is a new Will Ospreay, a new Aerial Assassin… you’ve never wrestled anyone like me before… bruv.”



Pre-Match: The Aerial Assassin Will Ospreay makes his entrance to a big pop. The former leader and eventual destroyer of The United Empire is looking to forge a fresh start here in DPW and the crowd is definitely behind him. Ospreay’s opponent makes his way to the ring next, no longer tied to his brother Randy Savage (and no longer forced to wear Elizabeth’s old evening gowns), Lanny Poffo wants to make a name for himself in today’s hottest wrestling organization. Poffo executes a few cartwheels around the ringside area before getting checked by the referee.

Backstage Interview: Jimmy Snuka is at the Interview Set with his valet, his girlfriend Nancy Argentino, "Brothas! Now that Superfly is here in DPW, brotha, everyone better look up, you know what I mean, brotha? The Superfly is gonna come SPLASHING down on you! And sooner or later, Superfly is gonna land on THE CHAMPION, brotha, and Superfly is gonna hold that DPW Championship belt! Tonight I’m scheduled to wrestle Nohit Raju–” His valet Nancy clears her throat, “Umm, Jimmy, his name is Rohit.” Snuka raises his hand as if to backhand slap his girlfriend causing her to recoil, “I know that! I called him Nohit because he’s got “No Heat.” Now let’s get out there, come on–” Snuka grabs Nancy by the arm and drags her away from the set. An off-screen slap and a whimper can be heard before we transition back to ringside.



Pre-Match: “His mother calls him sun cuz he shines like one,” Rohit Raju makes his way out onto the stage. Rohit had a good gig as Kingpin Jeff Cobb’s Right-Hand Man, basically being Cobb’s bitch, but now he also has to move on from The United Empire and thinks he can take out a wild and wildly athletic opponent like Snuka and that should raise his profile. Snuka makes his way out next barking at his valet Nancy as she tries to keep up with him.

Rohit Raju is learning how to survive without an Empire of cheaters in his corner and it looks like he’s saying something to Nancy Argentino on the outside. Snuka comes up from behind Rohit and smashes him in the head with a coconut. Wait, where did that come from? Anyway, a jealous Snuka grabs Nancy by the arm and drags her back up the aisle.



Backstage Interview: BUSSY is backstage at the DPW Interview Set. Allie Katch says, “Effy, did you get this strange invitation in your locker, too?” Effy pulls a similar invitation on the same distinctive stationery out of his fishnets, “You did, too? Who is it from?” Allie says, “It appears to be a challenge for a match for the #1 contenders for the Tag Team Titles at SLAMALAMADINGDONG I, but I don’t know who signed it… ‘LA SEL DE LA TERRE.’ What does it mean?” Effy jests, “Sorry, my Frenching is limited.” Allie replies, “Well, this invitation tells us to meet them right here next week to accept the challenge—” The lights flicker at the Interview Set sending a chill up Effy’s spine. Who is it that has been harassing BUSSY?



Video Package: In a dark corridor beneath the FlexZone a small fire pit illuminates the faces of Philly Collins and Marino Tenaglia, Philly Marino Experience. “Your training is almost complete,” the shadowy figure presiding over PME is still wearing his white half-mask and obscuring his body with a flowing black cape. “You have one more task to complete.” Philly & Marino look up at their sensei. “You will complete this task next week on Power Hour,” The Phantom hands a familiar piece of distinctive stationery to Philly C and Marino T and they pore over it in the dim fire light. “Is this our new name? I can’t even pronounce that,” Marino comments. The Phantom ignores him, “This is your shot, boys. Do NOT screw this up.” Philly looks to his mentor, “What, sir, do you get out of this?” The Phantom shudders at the question, “What do I get? What do I get??” The Phantom of the FlexZone reaches into his cape and tosses a handful of mystical powder into the fire pit causing multicolored flames to leap high into the air, licking the concrete walls and ceiling beneath the arena, “REVENGE!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!”



Pre-Match: The Kinkdom enter the stage with Kevin & Maria Kanellis-Sullivan trailing behind Mike Bennett & Matt Taven, #1 contenders for the DPW tag belts. They have been eagerly awaiting their shot at the titles since last month but the DPW Tag Team Champions have been away on a Caribbean cruise, more on that later. The Kinkdom’s big shot is coming up at SLAMALAMADINGDONG I, they’d better not blow it. Their competition here tonight— “WHAT A RUSH!!!!” The FlexZone becomes unglued as The Road Warriors enter the stage. Jim Cornette, manager of the Tag Team Champions Nugenix Express, pulled a few strings and booked Hawk & Animal to take Bennet & Taven down a peg or two before the big title match. We’ve never seen a team so impressive looking in DPW as The Road Warriors, this will be quite the challenge for Bennett & Taven.

Post-Match: The Road Warriors may not have long before they’re challenging for tag team gold here in DPW. The Kinkdom may have their work cut out for them in two weeks at SLAMALAMADINGDONG especially if Nugenix Express doesn’t come back from their cruise. Would it be a forfeit? We haven’t seen the Tag Team Champions in almost two months now, what in the world is going on?



Video Package: Ethan Page, Danhausen, and Brody King are pulling up to a small mom-and-pop toy store that Page has featured on his Toy Hunt Vlog before. “We’re here at Sunshine Toy Dream, owned and operated by the Trudeaux family, James and Catherine, they’ve always been so nice to us, they let us spend a lot of time here, we always find the best finds—” as they approach the storefront Ethan Page realizes something is wrong, “they said they would stay open late for us, I don’t know why the door is locked…” Danhausen says, “Egon! Over here!” There’s a window broken out on the side of the shop, Brody King kicks the rest of the glass in when they spot the grisly scene through the cracks. Ethan Page is speechless. There, lying on the floor of the toy store, barely breathing, covered in blood, are the elderly proprietors of this very shop, Ethan’s friends. “Danhausen, call 9-1-1, now!” Brody bellows over the eerily quiet sales floor. Who could have done such a thing? “Cut the camera! Cut the camera! Holy sh*t—” Black.



Backstage Interview: “The Ace” AJ Styles is backstage at the DPW Interview Set. “Waiting. I’ve been waiting for what feels like months now for my damn title shot. This is getting ridiculous! First, that idiot Warhorse won the belt, then every idiot ever got to compete for it in that damn C.O.C.K. Tournament, now Galloway might be wrestling Stupid Ricky at SLAMALAMADINGDONG? What the hell?! What about me?! Moi?! I’m the #1 contender! And now I got that idiot Claudio breathing down my neck saying he gets a shot at Galloway. Nah nah. That shot is gonna be for me! Moi! AJ Styles! The One & Only! Now I’m gonna show Claudio how to REALLY beat Dan the Dad. Idiots.”



Pre-Match: Dan the Dad is in the ring awaiting his opponent. Poor Dan the Dad was trounced last week by former Heavyweight Champion Claudio Castagnoli and on Dan’s way to the medical offices after the match he overheard AJ Styles laying out the challenge, and trooper that he is, Dan the Dad is here. “Me! Moi! AJ Styles!” Styles shouts on his way to the ring, driving home the point that he is indeed the #1 contender for Galloway’s championship.

Post-Match: A predictable victory for the #1 contender. Was Claudio even watching? Dan the Dad, despite being in immense physical pain, grabs his coffee cup and crawls underneath the ring before he accidentally gets roped into another match, probably some Triple Threat match with the two meatheads! AJ Styles is crowing about his victory in the ring, but Claudio will certainly have some words to say to Styles next week on Power Hour!



Locker Room Segment: The camera is close-up on the locker room door. KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK. “Come in.” The door slowly creaks open and out pops the head of James E. Cornette. “Paul, are you there?” A hand reaches out and snatches Corny by the goozle and holds him up against the wall. The camera pans back to see Paul Ellering looking on as Big Van Vader suspends his former manager up in the air by one hand. “Come on in, James,” Ellering chuckles. “Vader! Put me down!” “Vader, do not put him down,” Ellering interjects. “You see, Jim, Vader does what he is told… when given the right incentive. What can you give my monster that I cannot?” Vader is growling and sweating and scaring the bejesus out of Corny, “Money! Power!” Vader growls louder. Ellering chimes in, “I have money. Vader has power. I repeat, what does Vader get out of this arrangement?” Vader begins to shake Cornette violently when he notices a light rattling sound coming from Corny’s jacket pockets. Corny reaches in and pulls out bottles of Nugenix Total-T, aka dick pills. Vader stops growling and starts sniffing. Corny looks relieved, “Eh? I think we’re in business, Mr. Ellering,” Corny is able to squeak as Vader slowly lowers Cornette down to his feet. Rattle rattle rattle.



Backstage Interview: Bobby Heenan is backstage at the DPW Interview Set, “Ladies & gentlemen my name is Bobby Heenan, those that are smart call me “The Brain,” cuz they know I’m smarter than they are. Those that know me know I’m the greatest manager in the history of professional wrestling. Those that know me know that I’ve managed world champions. Those that know me know to stay away from any member of the Heenan Family. Watch out, Dynamo Powerhouse Wrestling, the Heenan Family has found a new home.”



In-Ring Segment: DPW Boys Champion Ricky Starks and Warhorse head down to the ring. Warhorse begins, “The time has come, Galloway! Get your ass out here and fight me!” The crowd would like nothing more than to see this transpire. Ricky asks Warhorse for the mic, “Galloway, come down to this ring like a man and accept our challenges. I want you in 2 weeks at SLAMALAMADINGDONG–” Warhorse snatches the mic back, “AND I WANT YOU RIGHT NOW!” Warhorse is ready for a fight. The long silence continues. Suddenly a video begins to play on the FlexTron, it’s DPW Champion Galloway, “Greetings, gentlemen. You didn’t think that the Champion of Champions would show up on Power Hour, did you? Pathetic. Starks, you little pissant, I’m gonna shut you up in 2 weeks, don’t you worry about that. In the meantime, Starks & Warhorse, I’ve sent someone in my stead for you to take turns against… he’s one of the most feared professional wrestlers from ANYWHERE in the world today. He is my henchman. He is my proxy. He is WALTER.” Holy hell! The Champion’s Proxy WALTER emerges through the curtains and marches down to the ring. What a challenge this will be for Warhorse!

Warhorse is still feeling the effects of the concussion he suffered at the hands of Galloway at N.O.C.O.C. WALTER shows all of DPW what a physical menace he is as he tosses Warhorse around the ring. Warhorse gets a round of offense in but WALTER quickly shuts it down. Suddenly a woman is walking down to ringside, quite a voluptuous woman at that! She’s dressed in the famous Playboy Bunny costume and she’s blowing kisses across the ring to Boys Champion Ricky Starks. Warhorse is distracted by the commotion at ringside as Ricky begins to approach the Playboy Bunny but she begins to retreat back up the aisle. Starks follows her through the curtain as WALTER spins Warhorse around and executes an Earth-shattering POWERBOMB.

Post-Match: The Champion’s Proxy is victorious over the former DPW Champion Warhorse and Ricky Starks is up to bat next, just one week before Starks’ showdown with 2-time Champ Galloway at SLAMALAMADINGDONG I on MTV! Whomever sent the Playboy Bunny to ringside clearly has intentions towards Boys Champion Ricky Starks, who in the world could have sent them? Can Starks make it through one more Power Hour before SLAMALAMADINGDONG?

Welcome back to POWER HOUR on MTV! This is Dynamo Powerhouse Wrestling! Power Hour, as always, comes to you live from our portable arena the DPW FlexZone where tonight DPW Boys Champion Ricky Starks will go one-on-one with DPW Champion Galloway’s Proxy, the ruthless WALTER and The American Dragon Bryan Danielson will challenge Rowdy Roddy Piper for the MTV Title and much, much more as we are just one week away from the inaugural SLAMALAMADINGDONG right here on MTV!

Will Ospreay is on a roll lately and he’s ready for his next challenge. Suddenly hardcore indie legend Jon Moxley strolls out onto the stage. What a surprise! Mox has arrived in DPW! Will Ospreay, despite the surprise challenge, conquers the debuting Moxley in a fantastic opening match. Moxley can’t be happy about this debut loss and will surely look to delay Ospreay’s rise to the top of DPW.

BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW:



“The Ace” AJ Styles and former Heavyweight Champion Claudio Castagnoli face-to-face backstage at the DPW Interview Set. Styles insists that he is the undisputed #1 contender for the DPW Title, “Me! Moi!” and Claudio insists that he is, indeed, disputing that. AJ says that he pinned Dan the Dad faster than Claudio so that proves that Styles is superior. Claudio argues, rightfully, that AJ’s logic is flawed, suggesting that AJ is “simple-minded” which riles up The Ace. AJ challenges Claudio to a match next week at SLAMALAMADINGDONG and after only a few more insults AJ is goaded into putting his #1 contendership on the line! Neither athlete trusts the other and they insist on choosing a truly unbiased special referee. Unfortunately for Dan the Dad he happened to be standing nearby and Claudio & AJ agree that since they both kicked the crap out of him recently he can’t favor one over the other. Maybe Claudio is as ‘special’ as AJ after all.



MATCH 2:

The Black Lads

[Jay Lethal & Swerve Strickland]

The Road Warriors

[Hawk & Animal]

The Black Lads haven’t had a win since before challenging Nugenix Express for the Tag Team Titles at HORSEPOWER and are certainly the underdogs going into this match. A short match sees Jay Lethal battle with Hawk until Lethal hits Hawk with a surprise LETHAL INJECTION but Hawk makes it back to his feet before Lethal does! Lethal hits him with a second and Hawk pops right back up again. After a bit of back and forth, Lethal hits a third LETHAL INJECTION on Hawk and Swerve pulls Animal off of the apron as the ref counts three. Hawk & Animal will definitely be seeking vengeance for this “fluke” win over the beefy powerhouses.

BUSSY, Effy & Allie Katch, are waiting backstage at the interview set holding those fancy invitations that were mysteriously left for them last week. They were instructed to arrive here and await a challenge for a #1 contendership match for the DPW Tag Team Titles. The lights begin to flicker and Effy is filled with a looming sense of dread. Suddenly Effy & Allie Katch are attacked by Philly Collins & Marino Tenaglia, Philly Marino Experience. They are slammed into the set and video equipment and the lights continue to flicker. It’s hard to make out through the strobing light, but Effy & Allie Katch both have blood streaming down their faces. “Who are you?” Suddenly they are joined by a fifth person. It’s The Phantom of the FlexZone! “Who are we?” the Phantom asks and he pulls a blood-stained letter opener out of his cape and plunges it into the shoulder of Effy causing Effy to cry out. “We are LA SEL DE LA TERRE. We are THE SALT OF THE EARTH and we will see you next week at SLAMALAMADINGDONG to prove that we are the superior tag team, we are the superior wrestlers, and we are championship material, not you pathetic losers.” The menacing trio retreat to the corridors beneath the FlexZone as DPW officials arrive to witness the bloody fallout from this encounter and pull the letter opener from Effy’s shoulder. Will BUSSY be ready for their big match next week?

The inaugural MTV Champion Roddy Piper faces yet another capable challenger, this time Bryan Danielson steps up to the plate. Piper has been beefing with new DPW Commissioner Gorilla Monsoon who has been setting up world-class challengers for the TV champion and Bryan Danielson is no slouch. After spending much of the year leading D-Meditation-X Danielson made it within arm’s reach of the DPW title before being surpassed by Diamond Dallas Page however The American Dragon’s latest venture was to banish Kingpin Jeff Cobb’s United Empire from DPW alongside Will Ospreay and The United Empire is no more and Danielson has new goals: DPW gold. Piper tries to use the same cheating tactics that won him his coveted title but Danielson is able to get a rope-break or wrestle free of Piper’s dreaded SLEEPERHOLD. Building to an exciting climax The American Dragon is able to counter another SLEEPERHOLD with his own CROSSFACE CHICKENWING and Piper is shaking his head side-to-side before screaming out in submission. Bryan Danielson becomes the second MTV Champion and as he heads back up the aisle and goes to exit through the curtain he’s stopped by someone standing in his way. It’s Danielson’s former partner Jake Something! Is he here to congratulate Danielson? We saw a heartwarming D-Meditation-X reunion 4 weeks ago on Power Hour but Jake isn’t as friendly tonight as Matt Sydal & Leyla Hirsch were, kicking the new MTV Champion in the gut and then executing a MFKR on Danielson on the entrance stage. Jake Something reaches down and picks up the MTV Title belt, holding it above Danielson indicating that he’ll be Danielson’s first-ever defense of the belt next week at SLAMALAMADINGDONG I. “WHAT’S MY NAME?”

BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW:



At the DPW Interview Set face-to-face are the tag team champions and challengers: The Kinkdom with managers Kevin & Maria Kanellis-Sullivan and Cocky Khosrow The Iron Sheik who is standing alongside his manager Jim Cornette. Kevin Sullivan says that he hears that Boner Bob Backlund is missing and therefore Nugenix Express should have to forfeit their Tag Team Titles to The Kinkdom next week. “I knew you’d say that, Sullivan, there’s a little thing called the Freebird Rule meaning another member of the team can be substituted in a title defense and that man is none other than: Vader! But not just the same old Vader, this is a new & improved Big Van Vader. This Mastodon is powered by Nugenix Total-T, the only testosterone supplement with man-boosting ingredient Testofen, aka dick pills aka the life blood of my boys.” Vader enters the frame looking bulkier (and girthier) than he ever has, his leotard being stretched to the limit in all-new places, “Ladies & gentlemen, let me introduce to you the newest member of Nugenix Express, the man who will be defending these belts alongside The Meat That Can’t Be Beat, the 10-Inch Terror The Iron Sheik, ladies & gentlemen, this is BIG VEIN VADER!” Iron Sheik & Vader as defending Tag Team Champions? Pray for Bennett & Taven!



LOCKER ROOM SEGMENT:



Ethan Page, Danhausen, and Brody King are in the locker room discussing the horrible attack on the proprietors of one of Ethan Page’s favorite collectible & toy stores last week. They have no idea who perpetrated the assault and Page is afraid it wasn’t random, they were targeted. There's suddenly someone standing in the locker room doorway: Sefa Fatu. SeFa tells them that he’s sorry to hear about that senseless attack and he hopes that authorities will find the culprits, but adds that it’s unlikely they will because, “We went to every possible length to not leave any DNA evidence–” The Toy Hunt Vlog Crew is dumbfounded; it was SeFa? Why? SeFa offers no explanation and says that nobody embarrasses him and gets away with it and that Brody King did this to them by defeating SeFa on Power Hour. Brody King challenges SeFa to another match but SeFa declines saying that he wants Goro Bros, he’ll bring a partner of his own, and they’ll regret ever having messed with The Family. What has Brody gotten Page & Danhausen into?



BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW:



Superfly Jimmy Snuka is at the DPW Interview Set giving a promo when he’s interrupted by Bobby “The Brain” Heenan who issues a challenge to Snuka. Heenan says he’ll debut the first member of the Heenan Family in DPW next week at SLAMALAMADINGDONG I and that Snuka should accept the challenge unless he’s a coward. Snuka accepts and rages at Heenan who scurries away before getting hit in the head with a coconut or something.

If anyone is a coward it’s DPW Champion Galloway who refuses to show up on Power Hour and has unleashed his “proxy” WALTER on DPW to fight his battles. Last week we saw WALTER destroy Warhorse as Starks got led away by a mysterious Playboy Bunny, what was that about? This week Starks will take on Galloway’s Proxy just one week before squaring off against the Champion of Champions at SLAMALAMADINGDONG I. Starks holds his own for a while but suddenly in the middle of the match TEN women dressed as Playboy Bunnies walk down to ringside in unison. The beautiful Playboy Bunnies are lining the entire entranceway, waving and blowing kisses to Boys Champion Ricky Starks. WALTER takes advantage of the distraction and plants the Boys Champ with a debilitating POWERBOMB and gets the pin. Starks chases after the Playboy Bunnies trying to get answers, leaving Warhorse in the ring with WALTER. Warhorse is still beat-up from his match last week and WALTER is easily able to keep the former champ at bay. WALTER leaves the bloody Warhorse in the ring and goes to leave but Warhorse still has some fight in him, grabbing a mic and challenging The Champion’s Proxy to a NO DISQUALIFICATION MATCH next week on MTV. WALTER says, “Ja.”
