So how many shots does a guy get at a belt before it's time to go with someone else? I had Curt Hennig leave town after three failed attempts and Jerry Lynn after two. I think it's good to keep a main event scene fresh and I also think it's better for a top guy to leave than get pushed down the card. Another great topic! For me, overall star quality of the previous title matches plays a role... If two individuals continuously display awesome chemistry in the ring, I might give someone as many as three title shots in a row before giving someone else a chance... However, I'm not going to let that challenger stray too far because I might need to bring him back if the title scene is looking pretty stale... Just to inject some fire onto those cold embers.

I don't really have a "you've already had X shots...you're done..." number, but I also only defend the major titles once every four months (3 times per game year), so getting multiple title shots would probably be spread out over a year or more.

Not that I run anything standard, but I'd probably go the old MSG rule of 3 title matches and then moving along.

I like to keep track of wins/losses and have a record keeping question for you all Let's say you have a 4v4 survivor series match. The team that won had a wrestler who was eliminated. Even though the eliminated wrestler’s team won, does it still count as a loss for the eliminated wrestler since they were eliminated? Or is it a win since his team won overall? For me, specialty matches like that don't count toward a wrestler's win-loss record. Same with battle royals.

Based on several recent remarks, I think this is a pertinent question... How do you view your fed(s)? Shoot or Work?I treat all of my feds as a 100% work... So, the fun (for me) is mainly derived from trying to interpret why the bookers (aka the dice) made the choices that they did during each card. I'm a fan of the Jim Cornette style of booking - Two guys/girls are gonna fight, who's gonna win, so I'm 100% shoot. I stick to one on one competition and don't really do tag teams, as I can't do them in a way that makes sense to me.

Been rewatching early EVOLVE on Peacock (Very quaint and interesting as a booking case study but by no means a must watch) and Gabe’s solution to multiman scramble matches in a Win/Loss fed is that only the wrestler who scored the fall and the wrestler who was pinned or submitted had their record updated. Otherwise I agree with pike unless you are tracking 8-man tags as it’s own division.

Has anyone done a fed where you have a loop of six (or however many) towns and cycle guys in and out at the end of each loop? I keep thinking about doing it but it seems like a big undertaking if you're going to do an entire year of it.

I only run shows in the same towns that the Florida territory ran in. The only caveat is I will sometimes do small spot shows in really small towns in Florida (i.e. Chiefland, Old Town, Bartow, Starke, Lawtey, Leesburg, etc.)

I initially did that, but it got to be a lot - even for one fed. Running 5-6 shows per week takes a lot of work. IRL it can work, but on the tabletop it can be daunting. So now I run one show per week, but I run those cities in a particular order. Then after the list of cities has been run through, I have a show from 106 N Albany St, Tampa, FL at the "Tampa Sportatorium" and that is treated as a "Super Show" to end the circuit. Next week, we start the circuit again in Tampa from the Fort Homer Hesterly Armory on N Howard St in Tampa and the next week we go to St Petersburg, West Palm, Miami, Sarasota, Jacksonville, Orlando, etc.
