Friday Night Fury -- AT&T Center (San Antonio, Texas) -- Feb. 17, 2023
Gordon Solie welcomes the viewers to the AT&T Center in San Antonio for tonight's edition of Friday Night Fury that features a Taped Fist Match between Sgt. Slaughter and Hacksaw Jim Duggan while Tony Garea & Larry Zbyszko challenge for the Tag Team belts in the main event. To the action ...
Big John Studd (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan") defeated Nacho Barrera via submission
After putting up surprisingly stiff resistance, Barrera couldn't withstand Studd's Backbreaker.
Doctor X defeated "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant (with Captain Lou Albano) by disqualification
The debuting Doctor X had little trouble with the "Boogie Woogie Man" and was awarded a DQ victory when Captain Lou dropped an elbow on him while he had Valiant caught in the Figure-Four leglock.
King Kong Bundy (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan") defeated Jake "The Milkman" Milliman by pin (5-count)
An Atlantic City Avalanche was all she wrote for The Milkman, with Bundy demanding and easily getting a 5-count.
Al Snow defeated "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase (with Virgil) by pin
In a surprisingly one-sided affair, Snow humiliated DiBiase (5 tokens), finally putting an end to the contest with a hurricanrana and a hasty exit from the ring before Virgil could exact revenge.
The Killer Bees ("Jumping" Jim Brunzell & B. Brian Blair) defeated Mr. Fuji & Mr. Saito (with Captain Lou Albano) by disqualification
The Bees were buzzing early with Blair getting the best of Saito & Fuji, catching them both in Sleeper holds. In what has turned into a terrible night for Albano, he was caught slipping a foreign object to Saito after he was trapped in yet another Blair sleeper, leading to a disqualification for his charges.
King Harley Race (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) defeated Bob Backlund (with Arnold Skaaland) by pin
The amazingly resilient Backlund (5 tokens) looked like he was finally going to record a win in one of his now trademark DCWF wars, but he and Skaaland were outsmarted by The Brain. After Race (also 5 tokens) had missed a running shoulder-block attempt in the corner that left him in a heap, Heenan rang the bell just as referee James Beard was about to reach 3. In the ensuing confusion, Race grabbed Backlund and nailed a piledriver and a 3-count to score the tainted victory.
Taped Fist Match -- Sgt. Slaughter defeated Hacksaw Jim Duggan via submission (referee stoppage)
In the expected brutal affair, Slaughter emerged victorious after Duggan passed out while caught in The Cobra Clutch. Looking to make a statement, the big Marine wouldn't release the hold after the bell sounded until he finally relented with Solie pleading to him that it was enough. Sarge then issued an open challenge to any and all competitors, proclaiming that his path of destruction has just begun and that he won't be satisfied until he has gold around his waist.
Tag Team Championship -- Mark Henry & D'Lo Brown (with Ivory) (c) defeated Tony Garea & Larry Zbyszko by countout
Garea & Zbyszko's teamwork was on full display with them nailing a double dropkick on Brown and then combining for a remarkable double body slam of the behemoth Henry, but it still wasn't enough to dethrone the champions. While Brown & Garea were exchanging pleasantries (and right hands) by the announcers' table, Henry splashed Zbyszko on the arena floor to earn the victory after Zbyszko couldn't beat the 10-count.

Really like the small adjustment to the presentation, my friend... Offering those quick results at the beginning of the summaries helps to follow the action, imo... Fun stuff!

Monday Night Mayhem -- American Airlines Center (Dallas, Texas) -- Feb. 20, 2023
Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan welcome the viewers to American Airlines Center in Dallas for this week's edition of Monday Night Mayhem. Heenan proclaims that justice will be served tonight when Adrian Adonis reclaims the DCWF World Championship despite Commissioner Teddy Long's ridiculous decree that bars him from ringside. Monsoon counters that it will be a true test of champions to see who really is the better man when they go mano a mano while Heenan counters "Are you having a stroke?" To the action ...
The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James & "Badd Ass" Billy Gunn) defeated The Love Brothers by disqualification
The Love Brothers were in total control, working over the Road Dogg before their penchant for bending the rules (or outright disregarding them) kicked in ... "Rotten" Reginald smashed a steel chair over James' head as the DCWF's most hated team made it a perfect 3-for-3 in earning disqualifications.
"Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig defeated George South by pin
Mr. Perfect squashed South, ending the contest with a Perfect Plex.
The Glamour Girls (Judy Martin & Leilani Kai with "Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart) defeated Rockin' Robin & Trish Stratus by pin
Stratus' only involvement in the match was to break up a couple of pin attempts as The Glamour Girls decimated Rockin' Robin with a pair of Martin powerbombs providing the finish.
The Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff (with "Classy" Freddie Blassie) defeated Koko B. Ware & The Unpredictable Johnny Rodz by submission
The Sheik & Volkoff put a savage beating on Ware (5 tokens) but The Birdman refused to tap out to repeated applications of The Camel Clutch and kicked out after a running stomp, so instead, they took out their frustrations on The Unpredictable One, with Rodz unable to withstand The Camel Clutch.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage defeated George "The Animal" Steele by pin
Savage controlled most of the action, but did get caught in a pair of flying hammerlocks before putting away The Animal with a vaulting neck snap/piledriver combo.
The Dream Team (Brutus Beefcake & Greg "The Hammer" Valentine with "Luscious" Johnny Valiant) defeated The Long Riders (Scott "Hog" Irwin & "Wild" Bill Irwin) by pin
Both teams had near falls, but The Dream Team picked up their second straight victory when Valentine dropped the elbow hammer on "Wild" Bill.
"Rowdy" Roddy Piper (with Cowboy Bob Orton, Jr.) defeated Bruiser Brody by submission
"Rowdy" Roddy had surprisingly little trouble putting away the big Bruiser, nailing a knee lift before locking in his Sleeper for the victory.
Commissioner Teddy Long came out to escort The Brain and his personal bodyguard Mr. Hughes to the back before the main event, reiterating that any funny business will result in lengthy suspensions.
World Championship (all DCWF competitors barred from ringside) -- Big Van Vader (c) defeated Adrian Adonis by pin
Without the Heenan Family to support him at ringside, Adonis seemed a bit overwhelmed at the start in his attempt to regain the DCWF World Championship, with Vader getting 2-counts after a suplex, a release powerbomb and a powerslam but the former champ showed great resolve and began to assert himself. Just when it looked like Adonis had Vader in serious trouble, setting up to back body drop him over the top ropes, Vader reversed the attempt with a rollup pinning combo to earn the victory.
Heenan stormed out and got into a shouting match with Long, claiming Vader had a handful of tights and that the match should continue, but his complaints fell on deaf ears and Vader blew him a kiss from the ring while holding the belt aloft, further infuriating The Brain.

Vader retains the title with a rollup pinning combination... Gotta love that visual... And then blows Heenan a kiss for good measure... Classic!
I'm also enjoying this run of DQ losses by the Love Brothers... A very interesting (and unplanned) development... Fun stuff!

Friday Night Fury -- Smoothie King Center (New Orleans, La.) -- Feb. 24, 2023
Gordon Solie welcomes the viewers to the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans for tonight's edition of Friday Night Fury that features Sensational Sherri's first defense of the DCWF Women's Championship against The Fabulous Moolah, a No. 1 Contenders Tag Team match pitting The Road Warriors against The Brisco Brothers and The Sandman challenging for "The Franchise" Shane Douglas' TV title. To the action ...
Pat Patterson defeated Mike Jackson by pin
Patterson put away Jackson with the Bombs Away.
"Superfly" Jimmy Snuka defeated S.D. Jones by disqualification
Jones survived a Superfly splash on the arena floor, but got carried away in the ensuing brawl and was disqualified after smashing a TV monitor on Snuka's head.
Rob Van Dam (with Bill Alfonso) defeated Hillbilly Jim by pin
An RVD Five Star Frog Splash was all she wrote for Hillbilly Jim.
The Magnificent Don Muraco (with Mr. Fuji) vs Sam Houston ended in a double disqualification
Muraco was controlling the match, but things got out of hand when the action spilled outside the ring with neither man heeding Joey Marella's order to get in the ring, eventually leading to a double disqualification.
Women's Championship -- The Fabulous Moolah (with Captain Lou Albano) defeated Sensational Sherri (c) by pin
Moolah steamrolled Sensational Sherri to become the new DCWF Women's Champion, hitting a jackknife cradle, two body presses and a second jackknife cradle to claim the title. During the post-match celebration, Trish Stratus comes out and says she deserves the belt which elicits a hearty laugh from Moolah.
Solie interviews Sgt. Slaughter who says nobody is man enough to face him but his boast is cut short when "Medal" starts playing in the arena and out steps Kurt Angle saying that he's going to kick his ass ... "It's true, It's true!" Solie quickly extracts himself from the ring and it's on.
Kurt Angle defeated Sgt. Slaughter by pin
Angle was true to his words, putting down Slaughter with a series of Olympic Slams. The embarassed marine knocked over a table and threw the ringside steps as he departed.
No. 1 Contenders -- The Road Warriors (with Paul Ellering) defeated The Brisco Brothers by pin
All four competitors accumulated at least three tokens in a wild affair that turned when Ellering slipped a foreign object to Hawk who used it to slow down Jack. The resilient Briscos fought on, but the end came when Animal used a flying shoulder ram on Jerry. While the exhausted Legion of Doom celebrated their victory, Jack touched off a wild brawl when he flattened both Ellering and Hawk with chair shots.
TV Title -- The Sandman defeated "The Franchise" Shane Douglas (with "Head Cheerleader" Francine) (c) by disqualification These old rivals from a previous promotion seemed right at home using whatever they could get their hands on. With referee James Beard down, The Sandman repeatedly used his Singapore Cane on the champ who fought back with a shot below the belt. Francine tried to even the score by tossing a baseball bat to Douglas, but Beard came to and signaled for the bell, giving the DQ victory to The Sandman while The Franchise retained the belt.

Monday Night Mayhem -- Mobile Civic Center (Mobile, Ala.) -- Feb. 27, 2023
Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan welcome the viewers to the Mobile Civic Center in Alabama for this week's edition of Monday Night Mayhem. While Monsoon is excited about the card that features a pair of tag-team matches and Bob Backlund vs "Rowdy" Roddy Piper in a main event that could headline any pay-per view, Heenan is quite subdued (likely due to Adrian Adonis' failed attempt to reclaim the DCWF gold last Monday night). To the action ...
"Pretty Boy" Larry Sharpe defeated "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase (with Virgil) via disqualification
DiBiase's frustration at being relegated to the opener poured out as he and Virgil administered a savage beating of Sharpe outside the ring that led to a disqualification.
Cowboy Bob Orton, Jr. (with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper) defeated Frogman Leblanc by pin
Orton put away Leblanc with a superplex in the expected squash.
"Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant (with Captain Lou Albano) defeated Val Venis by pin
The Boogie Woogie Man survived a Money Shot before rebounding with a pair of moonsaults to silence Venis.
Molly Holly defeated Melina by pin
Melina hit her Last Call twice, but it wasn't enough to put away the rugged Holly who scored the fall after a Flipping Seated Senton.
Mr. Fuji & Mr. Saito (with Captain Lou Albano) defeated The Killer Bees via submission
Fuji & Saito controlled the action early on before The Bees began to assert themselves and both teams teased victory before the end came when Saito locked in his sleeper on Brunzell.
Bruiser Brody defeated Doctor X by pin
Brody made short work of Doctor X, finishing him off with a Jumping Knee Drop after a brawl outside the ring.
The British Bulldogs defeated Barry Windham & Tully Blanchard (with J.J. Dillon) by pin
The Bulldogs had no problems with Dillon's charges; Davey Boy's Missile Dropkick flattened Blanchard for the 3-count.
Bob Backlund (with Arnold Skaaland) defeated "Rowdy" Roddy Piper (with Cowboy Bob Orton, Jr.) via disqualification
Piper hit the ring in a bad mood and pulled out brass knuckles early on which really seemed to brighten Heenan's mood. Before the match could really develop, Piper went to the well once-to-often and was caught pulling out the knuckles a second time, earning an instant DQ. Skaaland quickly gathered Backlund and beat a hasty retreat from the ring before things could get out of hand. As they're signing off, Heenan promises that his entire Family will be in action Friday night with a trick-or-two up their sleeves.

Big win for the Bulldogs... And that main event was quite entertaining... Probably a wise move by Skaaland to get Backlund out of the danger zone so quickly.
A sinister declaration by Heenan to close out the show... Has me wondering what he has planned... Fun times!

Friday Night Fury -- Enterprise Center (St. Louis, Mo.) -- Mar. 3, 2023
Gordon Solie welcomes the viewers to the Enterprise Center in St. Louis for tonight's edition of Friday Night Fury that features the entire Heenan Family in action plus The Road Warriors challenge for the DCWF Tag Team Championship. To the action ...
Mr. Hughes (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) defeated Keith Steinborn by pin
The Brain's personal bodyguard saw his first in-ring action in a month, but didn't show any signs of rust as he easily put away Steinborn with a release gut-wrench suplex.
The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James & "Badd Ass" Billy Gunn) defeated The Mulkey Brothers by countout
Bill Mulkey couldn't beat the 10-count after The Road Dogg DDT'd him on the arena floor.
Big John Studd (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) defeated Al Snow by disqualification
Snow was getting the best of Studd for much of the match but as the momentum shifted, Snow got himself disqualified after repeatedly hitting Studd with Head.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan defeated King Kong Bundy (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) by disqualification
After Duggan speared Bundy, the rest of The Heenan Family made their way ringside and clearly rattled Duggan. The Walking Condominium seized control of the match and punished Duggan, eventually putting him through the announcers' table (which earned him a disqualification). Heenan then told Solie that they're going to show no mercy until they've reclaimed the gold.
Tony Garea & Larry Zbyszko defeated The Love Brothers by disqualification
Garea & Zbyszko isolated "Horrible" Hartford early in the match, but couldn't put him away thanks to some timely interventions by "Rotten" Reginald. As referee Joey Marella tried to get the action back in the ring, he ate a right cross from Reginald, earning the Loves a fourth straight DQ.
Adrian Adonis (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) defeated Koko B. Ware by submission
The former champ barely worked up a sweat, putting Ware to sleep with Goodnight Irene.
King Harley Race (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) defeated "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig by pin
Race was all over Mr. Perfect from the opening bell, hitting a piledriver, vertical suplex and a second piledriver to score the easy victory. After the match, Race told Solie that he deserves a title shot while Heenan added that he's already beaten Vader once and he'll do it again and demanded that Commissioner Teddy Long give them a shot next week.
Long made his way out onto the ramp and said "It's true that Mr. Race holds a victory over the champion" as Heenan interrupted that he needs to address him as "King, not Mr." Undeterred, Long continued "And it's true that, ahem, King Race looked good tonight, BUT ... he's going to need to wait his turn as Kurt Angle will be getting the title shot next Friday night!" The crowd erupts while Heenan and Race are furious.
Tag Team Championship -- Mark Henry & D'Lo Brown (with Ivory) (c) vs The Road Warriors (with Paul Ellering) ended in a double disqualification
The crowd was roaring again after The Road Warriors hit an improbable Doomsday Device on Henry, but D'Lo made the save. After trading a couple of near falls, the arena turned on the Legion of Doom when Animal tossed Ivory out of the ring like a ragdoll after she broke up another pin attempt. An incensed Henry smashed Hawk into the ringside steps and, eventually, all four began brawling on the outside. Referee Dick Woehrle couldn't get them back in the ring and called for the bell, disqualifying both teams.

The Love Bro's continue their interesting streak... Makes for great storytelling and proves their 'horribly rotten' nicknames are well earned... But, unlikely to help them move up the rankings in this competitive tag team division.
D'Lo and the WSM accomplish the improbable by escaping their title defense against the Roadies with the belts still in their possession... Technical decision or not, you gotta give the champs credit for doing what needed to be done... Fun stuff!

Growing up in WWWF territory, I really wasn't familiar with The Love's work, but it definitely looks like they would've been favorites of mine as a kid.
