Any truth to the rumor that Deva will be releasing an album that covers the new handbook? Perhaps something along the lines of a rock opera.

Hey there gang! I am up to nearly 24,000 words for the ORIGINS 2139 handbook and still not done! I have four more teams to write and at least one of them has significant new membership, so still a long way to go!
I guess I get too into this.
Darryl and I wrapped up a new character that will be interesting to talk about after the game is released. I wrote the playing card last night (I wait to see card art before writing game stats). I think this character provides a good balance to everything else coming in 2139 and I will explain more on that later also.
I am enjoying this forum and bringing back "Inside Tom's Brain" after this blog debuted in the 90s! Wish I'd thought of this sooner.
Don't take anything said here as official. I am sharing my day to day thoughts with the most loyal of loyal promoters right here on this board. Formal plans for myself and future COTG releases will be decided when I'm finished with ORIGINS 2139.
And I'm having a great time getting there! Lots of nuance in ORIGINS 2139 in addition to the big reveals and shockers. I think it is a game edition for the "true fan." I am trying to be loyal to the subject matter, letting it flow through me and trusting that approach.
Thanks to everyone that keeps supporting me and my creative visions. As I have always said, the greatest game fan base in the galaxy!

Also completed a list last night of my top ten feuds I am looking forward to promoting in my fed when 2139 begins.
I do this not only because I am psyched to play, but also to get a feel for what seems "hot" about the new edition. It helps put my creating and writing in perspective which wouldn't be the same if I was only a writer and not a player.
I'll hold on to my list and compare with other people when ORIGINS 2139 is released.

Very interesting idea making a top ten feud list (2138 has been one of my hottest years playing the game since before Black Death). Looking forward to 2139 and all the secret twists and turns to play out  Fantastic work Tom and company! |

Man, this is getting out of hand!
I am over 25,000 words and still not done with the handbook. Apparently I am being very wordy and I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing!
Most of the other handbooks are around 22,000 words so adding around 4,000 is a big jump. Maybe I'll edit it down when I'm proofreading.
Feel free to share your thoughts. Do you prefer shorter handbooks or larger ones?

I like a medium handbook. Enough to get a feel for everything but leaving some room for my own creativity.

To be honest, I think more is a good thing. At the very least, promoters can skim or just not use all the info. But the upside is it allows for much more depth, nuance, character motivation and quirks, etc...
