It's quite likely I went to some events before this one since my dad was a big fan, but this is the first one I remember -- I thought Andre really broke Killer Kowalski's leg in the main event:
WWWF @ Trenton, NJ – Civic Center – March 28, 1975 Manuel Soto & Pete Sanchez defeated Jack Evans & Johnny Rodz Butcher Vachon defeated Mike Paidousis The Wolfman defeated Bill White Victor Rivera & Gorilla Monsoon defeated WWWF Tag Team Champions Jimmy & Johnny Valiant Andre the Giant defeated Killer Kowalski

Been nice if there had been a 19 KOT. But thanks for one of the great signings for the game. There actually was a 2019 King of Trios, the last one! Nick Gage and Scott Steiner were both involved in the event. But yes of course I meant 2009. Man that was a long time ago!

Is that the one where they had a swear jar for Steiner? Indeed it was!!! There's probably enough money in Steiner's swear jar that we'll never have to hear the words "debt ceiling" again! LOL

I have a really hard time remembering my first live wrestling event. I'm 99% the first event I was a WCW house show at the Target Center. I don't remember much from the event. For some reason I remembered Rick Steiner being on the card. SO, after consulting Cagematch, it seems likely that the April 25th, 1999 WCW house show was my first live event, meaning Vampiro vs. Silver King was my first live match. The card looks like it was a solid card on paper, especially for a house show, but I don't remember anything from it. I think I vaguely remember Konnan doing his usual shtick on the mic, which I'm sure I enjoyed. I haven't been to a massive amount of live wrestling events in my life. Someday I'd love to get to some more but for now, I'm happy to watch from home. The view is a ton better on my screen than the nosebleeds.

I mentioned the first match, but here is the whole show. Looks to be the WWF B Show at the time, headlined by the Bunkhouse Brawl Come as You are Battle Royal. For those curious the NWA Bunkhouse Stampede ran in this same venue 3 weeks later the same night as the Royal Rumble. So not only did WWF counter program that night but also ran the same style match ahead of the NWA. The pinnacle of pettiness!

Hopefully Lanny was wearing the suit of armor for the Battle Royal. No surprise Bigelow won.

The view is a ton better on my screen than the nosebleeds. Even though I love going to live cards, especially the IPW HOF card in Waterloo each July, I know what you mean about watching from home, Justin. I know there are rumors of WrestleMania coming to U.S. Bank Stadium in 2025. While it would be great for Minnesota to finally get to host a 'Mania, the thought of finding parking, fighting through crowds, and trying to get a view of the ring from the Bank doesn't excite me too much! We'll see what happens.
