Nitro Wrestling 9.39 JR and The Franchise welcome the fans to the show and hype the main event, Wilbur Snyder vs. Wahoo McDaniel with the winner challenging for the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title in three weeks. JR announces that next week, Bad News Allen, Eddie Graham, and Sgt Slaughter will wrestle in a round robin challenge for the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title. The winner will be champion and the two losers will leave town for a minimum of six months.
1. Great Malenko Vs. Cuban Assassin Malenko and the Assassin battle back and forth. Malenko hits the Malenko Stomp for a two count. Malenko locks on the Russian Sickle but Assassin is able to reach the ropes. Malenko whips the Cuban Assassin to the buckles. Assassin dodges a turnbuckle charge and rolls Malenko up for the win.

JR says that’s a big win for the Cuban Assassin. Douglas introduces the next match.
2. Nick Bockwinkel Vs. Brickhouse Brown Bockwinkel takes Brown down and locks on the figure four but Brown fights his way to the ropes. Bockwinkel locks on the Bockwinkel Sleeper for the win.

4. Eddie Graham vs. Sgt Slaughter Sarge and Graham battle back and forth. Graham locks on the leglock and crossface, wearing Slaughter down. Sarge makes a comeback and hits a vertical suplex for a two count. Sarge hits the throat drop on the ropes for the win.

Douglas says Eddie Graham is gone for six months. It’s all down to Bad News and Slaughter in the main event. JR introduces the next match.
5. Angelo Mosca vs. Masa Saito Mosca and Saito battle back and forth. Mosca nails Saito with an elbow smash to the face and covers him for a two count. Mosca locks on the sleeper and Saito taps out.

6. Dynamite Kid vs. Larry Zbyszko Dynamite mows down Zbyszko at the bell. Zbyszko makes a comeback and takes off a turnbuckle pad. Zbyszko tries ramming Dynamite’s head into the buckle but Dynamite suplexes him over the top rope to the floor. Dynamite mauls Zbyszko and hits a tombstone piledriver for a two count. Zbyszko makes a comeback and goes to the top rope but Dynamite goes up after him and superplexes him back into the ring. Dynamite goes to the top and nails Zbyszko with a diving head butt for a two count. Zbyszko makes a comeback and slams Dynamite’s head into the buckles, busting him open. Zbyszko whips Dynamite into the exposed turnbuckle and hits a piledriver for a two count. Zbyszko hits a neckbreaker for a two count. Zbyszko hits another neckbreaker but Dynamite gets his foot on the ropes before the three count. Zbyszko throws Dynamite out of the ring and slams him back first into the ring post. The referee calls for the bell.

After the match, Larry Zbsyzko puts Dynamite in a Boston Crab until security is able to pull him off. Dynamite has to be helped to the back. JR and Shane Douglas introduce the main event.
7. Bad News Allen vs. Sgt Slaughter Bad News and Slaughter come out throwing bombs. Bad News nails Slaughter with the Ghetto Blaster for a two count. Bad News hits a second Ghetto Blaster but Sarge gets his foot on the ropes. Bad News hits a third Ghetto Blaster for the win.
Winner - Bad News Allen by pinfall to retain the gold, his first title defense. Sgt Slaughter and Eddie Graham are gone for a minimum of six months.

JR reminds the fans that Bad News Allen will be defending the gold against Wahoo McDaniel next week. Douglas says the Dynamite Kid was treated for a back injury at a local medical facility last week and has demanded a No Disqualification match against Larry Zbsyzko. No word from Zbyszko yet. JR introduces the first match.
1. Angelo Mosca vs. Ranger Ross Mosca bulldozes Ross at the bell. Ross bounces back and hits the combat kick for a two count. Ross hits another combat kick for a two count.
