1. One Man Gang vs. Brickhouse Brown Gang throws Brickhouse out of the ring and mauls him. Gang throws Brickhouse into the second row and the referee calls for the bell.

JR says getting disqualified isn’t going to win the Sandow Cup. Douglas introduces the next match.
2. Stan Hansen vs. Cuban Assassin Hansen steamrolls the Cuban Assassin and hits a slingshot elbow drop for a two count. Hansen hits a power bomb for a two count. Cuban Assassin makes a comeback and hits Fidel’s Backbreaker for a two count. Fidel hits a falling head butt for a two count. Fidel hits Fidel’s Backbreaker for a two count. Fidel hits a back suplex for a two count. Assassin hits a back suplex for the win.

1. Bob Backlund vs. Ranger Ross Backlund and Ross battle back and forth. Ross can’t stand up to Backlund’s sheer athleticism. Backlund hits the atomic drop for the win.
Winner - Bob Backlund by pinfall 2. Nick Bockwinkel vs. Stan Hansen Bockwinkel goes to work on Hansen at the bell. Bockwinkel locks on the figure four leglock, wearing Hansen down. Bockwinkel chokes Hansen on the ropes and locks on the figure four again but Hansen fights him off. Bockwinkel hits a piledriver for a two count. Bockwinkel locks on the Bockwinkel Sleeper for the win.
Winner - Nick Bockwinkel by submission. Bockwinkel will wrestle Bob Backlund in round 2.
3. Bull Curry vs. Larry Zbyszko Zbyszko gets in some offense. Curry makes a comeback and drills Zbyszko with brass knuckles. The referee calls for the bell.

DiBiase hits a sunset flip for a two count to turn things around. DiBiase wears Gang down with a figure four. DiBiase nails One Man Gang with the loaded glove and covers him for the win.

2. Dynamite Kid vs. Dan Spivey Dynamite mows Spivey down at the bell and hits a gut wrench suplex for a two count. Dynamite muscles Spivey up and hits a superplex for the win.

Nitro Wrestling 9.48 JR and The Franchise welcome the fans to the second round of the Sandow Cup and get right to the action.
1. Bob Backlund vs. Nick Bockwinkel Bockwinkel goes to work on Backlund and wears him down with the abdominal stretch. Bockwinkel hits the knee smash to the back and rolls Backlund up for a two count. Backlund and Bockwinkel brawl on the floor and Backlund comes out on top. Backlund hits the atomic drop for the win.
Winner - Bob Backlund by pinfall. Backlund advances to the third round.
Nick Bockwinkel is leaving ringside when Paul Orndorff jumps the guard rail and attacks him! Orndorff goes to piledriver Bockwinkel on the concrete but security pulls him off. Once order is restored, the participants come down for the next match.
2. Larry Zbyszko vs. Wilbur Snyder Zbyszko dominates Snyder early on. Snyder takes control and clamps on the Abdominal Stretch. Zbyszko fights toward the ropes and Snyder rolls him back for a two count. Snyder works over Zbyszko and nails him with a dropkick for a two count. Snyder hits a flying tackle for the three count.

1. Bob Backlund vs. Wilbur Snyder Snyder gets the early advantage. JR mentions that Snyder has won the Ryder cup once and been to the final rounds of the Sandow Cup once. Nitro Wrestling 9.50 JR and The Franchise welcome the fans to the show and hype the main event, Wahoo McDaniel vs. the Dynamite Kid for the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title. JR says that Stan Hansen, One Man Gang, and Bad News Allen have left the territory and of the four guest competitors in the Sandow Cup, only Bull Curry has elected to stay. Douglas announces that Paul Orndorff and Nick Bockwinkel will wrestle in a steel cage in next week’s main event. JR introduces the first match.
1. Joe Malenko vs. Mark Fleming Fleming goes to work on Malenko and locks on the STF but Malenko is able to reach the ropes. Fleming hits a belly to belly suplex for a two count. Fleming locks on the STF and Malenko taps out.
Winner - Mark Fleming by submission
JR puts over Mark Fleming. Douglas introduces the next match.
2. Rip Rogers vs. Nord the Barbarian Rogers and Nord battle back and forth. Rogers hits The Hustle for a two count. Nord makes a comeback but Rogers rolls him up after a missed turnbuckle splash for a two count. Nord makes a comeback and nails Rogers with a clothesline for a two count.
