Hi I bought 2 copies of Issue #3: One to read, one to collect in Mint condition, yay!  Cool recap! I will have to do that for my CotG fed later today!  A female "Blizzard"? I had forgotten about CotG's attempt at the X-Men! I wonder why we never got more than Blizzard, Wraith, and Max Shield? Oh I can't wait to get to this fed year! It'll be like when I had all those Mego action figures when I was a kid (fighting the Stretch Monster menace), haha!  I can't wait to see what you have in store for the next issue! Yea I had to make Blizzard a female because I was trying to match up with the villains that Tom made up in the book for the Crime Stoppers. The others were easy to match up. Issue #4: Crime...Buster?
A quick recap of Speedster finding The Trapper's latest victim as he prepares to do battle with the underhanded one. Then it is time for their fight.
Speedster vs The Trapper
The Trapper grabbed at Speedster who ducked the move with his speed and rocked The Trapper with a Flash Drive. From there is was all Speedster and he had The Trapper on his heels. Speedster then grabbed The Trapper and used Eye Of The Hurricane to make The Trapper dizzy and that was the end of their fight.
Winner: Speedster
Speedster calls the police to come pick up The Trapper. Then he proceeds to lower the child in the net slowly and release him.
Speedster: Are you ok? My name is Speedster, who are you?
Buster: Yea me fine. Me Buster.
Speedster: Where are your parents? Do you need me to call them?
Buster: Me have no...parents. Me was made in a lab.
Speedster: Wow. Really? Where? By who?
Buster: Me no know. Thank you for saving me. Me go now.
Speedster: Where will you go? Do you have a place to stay?
Buster: Me no know. Me been living in a carboard box but it get wet and no good now.
Speedster: Well, how about you come back with me to The Crime Stoppers Command Center. We have extra bed rooms there. You can stay with us and we can look into your past while planning your future.
Buster: (Gets a big smile) Really? Me can stay with yous?
Speedster: Of course. Let's go. You will like my friends and they will like you.
Buster hops on Speedster's back and Speedster takes off at a slower than usual speed. Neither of them notices two red glowing eyes watching them from the shadows of a nearby building.
Speedster and Buster arrive to the Command Center. Speedster introduces Buster to everyone. It is smiles and good times. Cosmic Woman takes Buster to the sleeping rooms to show Buster where he will be staying. Then the good times are interrupted by the police commissioner comes on the big screen. He tells them that there was a breakout at the jail. Someone freed a dozen or so prisoners including The Untouchable, The Freeze and The Trapper. Sunman thanks him for the information and the screen turns off. Sunman looks at Blue Dazzler and Speedster and tells them it looks like they have work to do. Speedster says he will go get Cosmic Woman and after making sure Buster is settled in, he and Cosmic Woman will join the hunt for the super villains.
Who broke the villains out of prison? Why? Where are they? Can The Crime Stoppers find them and capture them again? Hopefully we will get some answers in our next thrilling issue, #5, It Takes Two to Tag Team.

Hi ...made in a lab = a "test tube baby"! Wow, I remember hearing that term way back when and wondering what the heck that was! So the voice of Buster sounds like? I hope you aren't going to say JAR JAR!  (Then again, the actor playing Jar Jar needs to eat, right?) Neat little narrative! The reveal is going to make this issue worth some serious moolah! There shall be no disparaging remarks about Jar Jar allowed here. While not a great character he gets far too much hate. He was fine for what he was. Comic relief ala C-3PO in the episodes 4-6. Jar Jar getting his tongue zapped was one of the best parts of episode 1 IMO.

Issue #5: It Takes Two to Tag Team
A rundown of what has happened so far right up to the prison breakout and The Crime Stoppers heading out to wrangle up the escapees. We see Cosmic Woman flying over the city when she spots one of the prisoners that got away. It is The Untouchable. She swoops down and lands in front of him. She tells him to surrender. He laughs and launches himself at her.
Cosmic Woman vs The Untouchable
Cosmic Woman hits The Untouchable with a Cosmic Energy Blast. That gave her the upper hand and she held strongly onto it. She used her Blast a couple more times. At one point she lifted an abandoned wreck of a car and threw it at him. That really stunned him. Cosmic Woman finished The Untouchable off with a Shooting Star.
Winner: Cosmic Woman
Meanwhile in another part of the city as Sunman flies over the city Speedster is running below him. Suddenly Sunman is hit with a barrage of ice balls and crashes into the street. A net almost catches Speedster but the quick one has been ready for that trick and easily maneuvers around it. He checks on Sunman who is already getting to his feet. They look a few feet down the street and see The Trapper and The Freeze. It does not look like the villains are here to surrender.
Speedster and Sunman vs The Trapper and The Freeze
As Speedster locks up with The Trapper Sunman squares off with The Freeze. The Trapper tosses another net as Speedster but it was just a distraction. As Speedster evades it, he gets rocked by The Trapper's elbow. The Trapper is on Speedster like white on rice and does not take his foot off the gas. Meanwhile Sunman and The Freeze are at a stalemate as one of them gets in a move or two only to be countered by the other. It is an even steven fight.
The Trapper grabs a metal garbage can from behind a store and smashes it on Speedster's head. Then he places it over Speedster's head, climbs a fire escape a bit and jumps off driving his elbow into the can. Speedster tries to get help from Sunman but he is tied up with The Freeze. The Trapper grabs Speedster and tosses him into the side of a dumpster. Next, he pulls out another net and chokes Speedster until he passes out. Finally, The Trapper throws the net over Sunman. He and The Freeze run off before anyone else from The Crime Stoppers shows up.
Winner: The Trapper and The Freeze
As The Trapper and The Freeze run off, we see two red glowing eyes from on top of a building watching. They pull back and disappear as Blue Dazzler shows up. Blue Dazzler checks on Speedster first and once he sees the youngster gain consciousness and says he is ok Blue Dazzler goes and frees Sunman from the net. Sunman checks in with Cosmic Woman. They are happy that at least The Untouchable was captured and being returned to jail. Now they just need to get back on the trail of The Freeze and The Trapper.
Will The Crime Stoppers get the job done and recapture The Trapper and The Freeze? Who is the mysterious person that has been spying on The Crime Stoppers? Who has an extra few thousand dollars they do not need? We might find out in the next pulse pounding issue as we reach the half way point in the mini-series.

Hi Nice little issue #5! Cosmic Woman's playing stats are way too good! I wonder why she was made this way? Trapper & Freeze escape? Now THAT'S comic book writing there! The mystery at the end is what comic books thrive on, oh yes! My guess? The mystery person is not a person at all -- but I won't say who I think it is just yet... I gave my extra copy to Crimson Cross, hope he enjoys it! Todd C WTIC |

Issue #6: What Do You Thinker About That?
A quick recap of what has happed over the previous 5 issues and then we see Buster looking over the master control panel at The Crime Stoppers headquarters. Cosmic Woman walks in Buster hops a bit from being startled.
Buster: Me sowwie. Me was curious what this all do.
Cosmic Woman: It is ok Buster. That is the control panel for all of the equipment we use here. From the big screen that we use to communicate with each other, the police and other important people and companies to the security system here at our Command Center to simple things like the sprinkler system for our lawns and the climate control inside to keep us cool or warm as needed among other things.
Buster: Cooooool. Me think it neat.
Cosmic Woman: (Chuckles) Yes, it IS neat isn't it.
Just then the screen came on and it was the police commissioner. He tells Cosmic Woman that an alarm went off at the main headquarters for Amazing, the multinational technology and commerce company, which is on the outskirts of downtown. A police cruiser investigated and reported a scary looking individual walking around inside. He said he thought it might be a job for The Crime Stoppers. She tells him that she will go look into it. She uses her communicator to inform the rest of the group what is going on and that she will call if she needs backup. Then she tells Buster to be good while she is gone. She tells him there is a game room down the hall if he wants to do something fun. Then she flies off.
Cosmic Woman is flying around the Amazing headquarters. Then she sees someone walking by a third-floor window. Someone that does not look like an Amazing worker. She quickly enters the building and meets him on the third floor. He tries to run by going thru a door, but it is just a large conference room with just the one way in and out. He turns around to go back thru the doorway, but Cosmic Woman is standing there.
Cosmic Woman: And who would you be?
The Thinker: I am The Thinker. I am the smartest man on the planet.
Cosmic Woman: Yet you walked into a room with no means of escape. Not a very good plan.
The Thinker: Well, we all make mistakes. Lucky for me not only am I a genius I am a pretty qualified fighter. I think you will soon find out just how dangerous I am.
Cosmic Woman vs The Thinker (Doomsayer)
The Thinker tried to take the fight to Cosmic Woman, but she washed over him like a tidal wave. She lifted him and slammed him hard onto a conference table. Then she really rocked him with her Cosmic Energy Burst. Then she jumped in the air and landed a Shooting Star on him. He started to crawl away but in the opposite direction of the door. Cosmic Woman went to finish this fight and performed Vortex Unleashed. She went to bind him up to be taken to jail when suddenly a pair of smoke bombs were thrown into the room. Smoke poured out and quickly filled the room. When the smoke finally started to dispense Cosmic Woman was the only one in the room.
Winner: none
Cosmic Woman looked around the room and then quickly flew down the hallway and out of the building. She looked around but there was no sign of The Thinker or who might have helped him escape. She got on her communicator to let the rest of The Crime Stoppers know what happened.
A prison transport bus is driving down the road right at dusk. It is transporting some prisoners from the local lockup to the bigger county jail. Inside the bus we see The Untouchable. Suddenly a floating skull is seen in front of the bus causing the bus driver to slam on the brakes. The skull floats over to the door which is pried open. The skull floats in toward a terrified bus driver. A mist is seen engulfing the bus driver who grabs at his throat as he grasps for air. Soon he is unconscious. A button is pressed on the dashboard and the door leading from the front of the bus to the back opens. The skull with a set of keys floating by him moves towards The Untouchable. The other prisons seem spooked and try and move far from the floating skull.
The Untouchable: About time Skull. I thought I was going to have to eat jail house slop for dinner tonight.
Skull: No, my friend. You will have a fine meal tonight. Then we have business to take care of.
Who is the mysterious Skull? What is his connection with The Untouchable? What diabolical business do they have? Where did The Thinker go and who took him? Why was he snooping around at the Amazing Headquarters? Was he trying to get his hands on the hottest toy for Christmas before it was available to the general public? Probably not but if you want to find out make sure to pick up issue #7 of The Crime Stoppers mini-series titles, No Body. The answers might just be in there. As long as no one stole them.
