EDITORS NOTE: I recently realized that I made yet another naming mistake. The character created by Tom was named The Hunter. But since I used Tarval the Trapper for him I ended up calling the character the Trapper. I was going to go back and fix it but decided that might confuse things. Instead, I will correct the error in the future. Comic book style.

Issue #9: Amazing Product Placement
A recap of all the craziness that has gone done. Then we see Skull and The Thinker outside of Amazing Headquarters late at night. The Thinker pulls out a pair of glasses and hands them to Skull
The Thinker: Here, put these on.
Skull: My eyesight is fine. I do not need glasses.
The Thinker: These are no ordinary glasses. They are X-Ray Specs*.
The glasses float from The Thinker's hand and onto Skull's face.
Skull: Amazing. Simply amazing.
The Thinker: Oh, these are not an Amazing product. But they are amazing for sure.
Skull: I can see our target. It will take a small bit of planning, but we should be able to get it easy enough. Let us go and work on and be gone before we are spotted.

At The Crime Stoppers Command Center Buster is talking on a phone. He ends the call just as Blue Dazzler walks into the room.
Blue Dazzler: Have you seen Sunman or Cosmic Woman?
Buster: They go on patrol to give Speedster a break. Me told they looking for bad, bad men.
Blue Dazzler: Ah yes. Well one of those bad men was seen at a pawn shop trying to sell some hot jewelry.
Buster: If it hot, how people wear?
Blue Dazzler: No, not hot like that. It means stolen. I guess I will go handle it. I will check in with the others on my way there. See you later Buster.
Buster: Bye bye blue guy.
Outside of City Pawn we see The Trapper skulking and trying to decide where he can sell the jewelry he is in possession of. Then his day gets worse when Blue Dazzler shows up.
Blue Dazzler vs The Trapper
The Trapper unleashed his frustration on Blue Dazzler for a bit. Then Blue Dazzler found his footing and he fought back. The Trapper, knowing he was in trouble, tried to escape by running into City Pawn. Blue Dazzler ran in after him, grabbed a computer monitor off a shelf and tossed it at The Trapper's legs causing him to crash to the floor. Then Blue Dazzler pulled a guitar off the wall and swung it. It smashed into bits when it hit The Trapper. Seeing The Trapper still had fight in him Blue Dazzler grabbed him again and hit a tombstone piledriver on top of a subwoofer. The Trapper kept fighting back. Blue Dazzler hit another tombstone but this time it was on top of a riding lawnmower. The Trapper had enough and gave up.
Winner: Blue Dazzler
Blue Dazzler waited till the police arrived and he turned The Trapper over to them before returning to Command Center.
At Command Center the whole team and Buster are sitting around and watching a news story about how some researchers found a large rooster that is about three sizes bigger than a normal rooster. It was giving to the City Zoo where they will study it. As they are talking about the rooster there is a delivery man at the front door. Someone has sent The Crime Stoppers a giant pinata.
Sunman: Well, look at that. I have never seen a pinata so big.
Cosmic Woman: There is no info on who it is from nor a card of any kind.
Buster: Is that for me birthday?
Speedster: Is it your birthday Buster?
Buster: Tomorrow is yes.
Blue Dazzler: Well then, I guess we will have to have a party for you tomorrow and we can bust open this pinata then.
Buster: Yey!
Buster starts running around, jumping and dancing which brings a smile to The Crime Stoppers. After the last few days, they could use some fun.
What kind of goodies will be in the pinata? Will Buster also have cake and ice cream? Fun times aside, what is the plan of Skull? What is he up to? Will The Crime Stoppers finally put a stop to Skull and the Killers Four? You know what to do if you want answers loyal readers.

I love the ad reference, such a nice touch and your build with Skull is so cool... I am glad you appreciated the ad. Tried giving the comic book feel to this. Anyone that read a comic from the 60s-80s knows all about those ads. Thanks for reading and the nice comments. |

Issue #10: Trojan Pinata
Once again, we start with a recap about Skull and his Killers Four causing trouble in the city. But what are they up to? Then we see it is night and all members of The Crime Stoppers and their guest Buster are fast asleep. Then the scene turns to the Command Center's main room where an innocent looking pinata sits. A pinata that starts to shake when suddenly the side of it pops out. But it is not candy or little toys that emerges from the pinata but a mist and then...a skull. It is THE Skull to be precise. Archenemy of The Crime Stoppers and the cause of all of their recent troubles. Now, he is roaming free and unnoticed in their home.
Speedster is having a horrible dream. A woman has fallen off a cliff and is headed toward the ground a couple hundred feet below the cliff. He is trying to run to save her but he is caught in mud and is barely moving. Then he wakes up in a sweat. He decided to go get a glass of water before going back to sleep when he sees lights and hears typing from the Command Center's main room. He goes to investigate. He is completely shocked to see Skull floating in front of the main control panel and fingers that appear to be made out of mist typing. He gasps which alerts Skull to his presence. Before Speedster can do anything, Skull engages him in combat.
Speedster vs Skull
The two battled with rage and passion. Skull needed to defeat Speedster to finish whatever he was up to and escape while Speedster needed to defeat the nasty heel before he could do what he wants and instead Speedster take him to jail. Just when Speedster started to gain the upper hand a rubber ball comes flying in and smacks him on the side of his head sending him stumbling out of control into the TV and both hit the ground. Before Speedster can recover Skull used Compression to try and finish him off. Speedster fought off the encroaching blackout. But Skull kept at it and slowly Speedster faded. As blackness creeped in from the corners of his vision the last thing Speedster saw was the person that kicked the ball at his head. It was a smiling Buster.
Winner: Skull
Skull: Good job my little friend.
Speedster: (Barely audible as if talking in his sleep) Buster? Why did you do that?
Buster: Is it not quite obvious? You may be fast of feet but not of brain it appears. You see, I am working with Skull. I infiltrated your Command Center and garnered him important reconnaissance. I am also the one who came up with the idea of having him mailed here inside the pinata. Tell me, has there ever been such a colorful Trojan horse in all of time? I think not.
Skull: I am not sure if he heard you, Buster. I think he is off in dream land.
All of the commotion has awoken the rest of The Crime Stoppers and they come rushing into the main room. Sunman, Blue Dazzler and Cosmic Woman all have shocked and confused looks on their face.
Is this the end of The Crime Stoppers? How could Buster turn his back on them as they opened their home to him and treated him so well? What was Skull doing before being interrupted by Speedster? With only two issues left in the mini-series answers will be coming.
