Issue #1: Eel of the Century
The Crime Stoppers (Sunman, Blue Dazzler, Speedster and newest member Cosmic Woman) are sitting around their Meeting Conference Table in their Command Center. They are talking about their most recent adventure, beating the mutant Moray Eel for a second time. Sunman hopes that is the final time. Moray Eel has been quite a handful and if not for the help of Cosmic Woman they might not have won this time.
The giant video screen in the room turns on and the police commissioner is on the screen. He tells The Crime Stoppers that a man calling himself The Untouchable is causing havoc downtown. He has already held up a handful of jewelry stores and the police cannot stop him. They have tried shooting him with a beanbag gun to neutralize him but he appears to have an invisible shied that protects him. The beanbags just bounce off of it. He says they need The Crime Stoppers' help.
Speedster says he will take care of this nuisance. Sunman tells him if he needs help not to hesitate to call in the rest of the team. Speedster says of course before taking off in a blur.
In the downtown part of the city The Untouchable walks out of a jewelry store with a big bag that he puts some gold necklaces in. He laughs and says they will go nice with all the diamond rings and watches he already has. Then Speedster shows up and tells him to surrender. The Untouchable just laughs some more before dropping the bag and rushing at Speedster.
Speedster vs The Untouchable (Max Shield)
In a rarity Speedster was caught off guard and not fast enough to react to the attack. The Untouchable tosses Speedster into a telephone pole. Speedster hits hard then bounces off of it. Both men hit a clothesline and crash onto the ground. The Untouchable is taking the fight to Speedster and has him in trouble. The youngster is able to fight back for a bit but it does not last long. Knowing he is in trouble Speedster taps a button on his belt buckle to call for help. Not long after that he is thrown hard into the wall of a clothing store shop and crumbles to the ground.
Winner: The Untouchable
The criminal smiles and is about to make his getaway but he turns around and comes face to face with the Blue Dazzler.
Blue Dazzler vs The Untouchable (Max Shield)
The two men brawl on the street and for a while it looks like Dazzler might have to call for backup himself. Then he hits The Untouchable with Optic Blinder a couple times to turn the tide into his favor. It is a Crime Stopper Splash that finishes off the criminal.
Winner: Blue Dazzler
The police come over and slap handcuffs on The Untouchable. Blue Dazzler says he will accompany the police to the jail to make sure they have no problem with their prisoner. Speedster says he will patrol the area to see if any serious damage occurred due to his fight with The Untouchable and make sure things are safe. Speedster is walking around when he hears a call for help from a back alley. He walks down there then suddenly a trap is sprung and he finds himself hanging a few feet off the ground in a net. As he hangs there trying to figure out what happened a man walks to a spot under the net. He says he is The Trapper (Tarval the Trapper) and Speedster is his prey.
