Thanks for the comments Crimson Cross and WTIC and for following. Yes, Skull has finally arrived and no he is not red. Well unless you bring up his past as the President of the Jonathan Taylor Thomas Fan Club when he was a youngster. But that red does fade. |

Issue #7: No Body Knows The Trouble I Have Seen
After the recap of what happened in the last issue, we see The Crime Stoppers gathered in front of the Amazing Headquarters. A police officer walks over to talk to them.
Sergeant Phil Singer: Hello folks. I am Sergeant Phil Singer and the lead man on this case. Far as we can tell this, The Thinker fella did not steal anything. As far as who helped him unfortunately, they must have used more smoke bombs because the cameras were obscured by a smokey mist and were unable to catch the perpetrator.
Sunman: Thank you, Sergeant Singer. My team and I will scour the city till we find these dastardly criminals and turn them over to the authorities.
Sergeant Phil Singer: This is not the only problem we have. I just got word before I came over here that there was a prisoner escape from a transport bus. It was The Untouchable and, I know this will sound crazy, but the...person, that freed him was described as a floating skull.
Speedster: Floating skull? Sounds like we have a real head case on our hands.
Sunman: This is no joking matter Speedster, but you are correct. I suggest we head off in different directions as we have a lot of area to cover, and it seems numerous targets. Be safe everyone and call if you need help.
With that the four head off in different directions as they are on the hunt.
Speedster is patrolling the streets and back alleys of the city when he runs into a mist that does not seem natural. He slows down and looks around. When he sees two glowing red eyes and then a skull emerges from the mist, he knows he has found one of the team's targets.
Speedster vs Skull
Skull tried to blind Speedster with his mist but some quick running by Speedster dispensed the mist. Then the youngster used some throat chops. Well, he chopped where a throat should be. A bit later Speedster grabbed the back of Skull and slammed his, well skull, into a trash can. It worked so well the first time he later tried it a second time but Skull blocked it somehow. Skull pounded on Speedster and used Compression to force Speedster to pass out.
Winner: Skull
Skull does not have time to celebrate or do anything as the other three members of The Crime Stoppers show up and surround him. It seems Speedster got off a signal for help before passing out.
Sunman: Give up you fiend. You are surrounded.
Skull: No, my friend. It is you who are the ones surrounded.
Suddenly blasts of ice hit Sunman and Blue Dazzler while a net snags Cosmic Woman. Then we see The Untouchable, The Trapper, The Freeze and The Thinker surrounding The Crime Stoppers.
Skull: Let me introduce my team. You have met them all, I do believe but you have not known their name. They are the Killers Four and thus we are Skull and the Killers Four.
Blue Dazzler: Sounds like a garage band that does a mix of 50's pop and punk rock. Just awful.
Skull: Make your jokes my friend. Soon you will be unable to do anything but rot in a grave. The Trapper and The Thinker, take care of them. The rest of you come with me.
Skull, The Untouchable and The Freeze leave as The Trapper and The Thinker surround The Crime Stoppers.
What is Skull's plans? Is the end of The Crime Stoppers? They seem vulnerable with half of the Killers Four moving in to finish them off.

Issue #8: Killers Four
The recap of how the last issue ended with The Thinker and The Trapper moving in for the kill. But Sunman heats his way out of the ice trap he was in then he frees Blue Dazzler. At the same time Speedster had come to and he helped Cosmic Woman out of the net.
Sunman: Cosmic Woman and I will take care of these two. You guys track down Skull and the others then call us when you find them. We are going to put Skull and his Killers Four in prison once and for all.
Blue Dazzler and Speedster nod their understanding and take off. Sunman and Cosmic Woman decide who they will face off with and then all four square off to do battle.
Cosmic Woman vs The Trapper
The Trapper had the early advantage thanks to his net but he could not hold it. Cosmic Woman shocked him with a Cosmic Energy Burst then she went to work. A Shooting Star seemed to have The Trapper beat but he had a bit of fight left in him. Cosmic Woman used Vortex Unleashed to put an end to that.
Winner: Cosmic Woman
Sunman vs The Thinker
The Thinker used his power to gain control early in their fight. But Sunman showed his grit by fighting back. The men fight their way into a pool hall. That is where Sunman suplexs The Thinker onto a pool table and that finishes The Thinker. Sunman easily takes him into custody.
Winner: Sunman
Sunman and Cosmic Woman turn over their opponents to the authorities at the jail. Sunman contacts the other members of The Crime Stoppers. He is informed that they have had no luck tracking down Skull and his goons. Sunman says everyone should regroup at the Command Center.
The Crime Stoppers have returned to their base and as they walk in Blue Dazzler is blasted with a ball to his head that stuns him. The other members of The Crime Stoppers take defensive positions to face this new attack. Only it turns out not to be an attack at all. Standing there with an embarrassing look is Buster.
Buster: Me sowwie. Me just playing with ball I found. I no mean to hurt no one. Me bad. You kick me out now, I guess.
He lowers his head and starts to walk off when Speedster stops him.
Speedster: No Buster. It is ok. It was just a simple mistake. Just don't play ball inside anymore, ok?
Buster: (Nods his head and has a serious look on his face) Me understand. Me no play ball inside. Is Mr. Blue guy ok?
Sunman checks on Blue Dazzler who is a bit frazzled but seems to be ok. Blue Dazzler tells everyone he will be ok and tells Buster he knows it was an accident so he should not feel bad about it.
Sunman: Ok team, time to refocus. We still have Skull and a couple of his team running free out of there. We need to track them down and bring them in.
Cosmic Woman: Not to mention, find out what he is up to. I doubt it is just about a few small common crimes and breaking his men out of custody. I feel he is up to something much bigger.
Is Cosmic Woman right? Is Skull up to something huge? What could it be? How do you defeat someone that in a way is not even there? Issue #9 will be out before you know it and hopefully it contains some answers.

4 issues to go or will you have more? I look to see what Skull will do... 4 more in this mini-series. I have some future plans seeing as the response to this is good. Not going to give away too much but I am planning on doing a 4-issue mini-series after this one and then a one-off limited edition. |
