We are pretty much in the middle of the state. 50 miles or so from the coast. But most areas on the west coast of Florida around Tampa have mandatory evacuation orders in place now. |

They should make it old school where you can punch out the back of the Happy Meal box and turn it into the couch from the coffee house.

I am actually going to Spain in December but, although I sometimes go to McDonalds in Europe (sometimes it is just easier to get a meal where you are familiar with the food,) I don't plan to try and get that adult Happy Meal even if that promotion is still happening. I just never really got into the Friends show and I also have not been to (or plan to go) to the Friends Experience at the MGM Grand here in Las Vegas. friendstheexperience.com/Vegas/ |

I am actually going to Spain in December but, although I sometimes go to McDonalds in Europe (sometimes it is just easier to get a meal where you are familiar with the food,) I don't plan to try and get that adult Happy Meal even if that promotion is still happening. I just never really got into the Friends show and I also have not been to (or plan to go) to the Friends Experience at the MGM Grand here in Las Vegas. friendstheexperience.com/Vegas/ I feel like today I had a negative tone in some of my posts like the one here. Please forgive me, I was watching the Raiders game today and it has been a frustrating day. |

I feel like today I had a negative tone in some of my posts like the one here. Please forgive me, I was watching the Raiders game today and it has been a frustrating day. I saw no negative tone. I got into Friends a few seasons in, watched reruns back in the late 90s and early 20s and enjoyed it. But today I just do not enjoy the show and cannot get into it when I see reruns on. Not like Seinfeld. I am not sure if I will EVER get tired of watching reruns of that show. Even with seeing each episode at last 2 or 3 times. The adult Happy Meal idea is a good one and if I was in Spain in the next little while I would definitely pick one up as Friends is probably my fourth all-time favorite show just behind The Simpsons, South Park and The Brady Bunch. Seinfeld would round out my top five. In regards to TV shows I used to like that I struggle to watch now I'd have to go with Boy Meets World past the fourth season. I grew up watching the show in elementary and high school and a few years ago on a nostalgia kick I ordered the whole series on DVD. Upon re-watching it the first few seasons are still great; the one where Cory tries to straighten his curly hair and the one where he joins the wrestling team (complete with guest appearance by Big Van Vader) are both still laugh-out-loud classics. However, after about the fourth season the show got WAY too melodramatic and diverted from its original sitcom format. I'm not sure how I didn't notice this back in its original TV run but I sure noticed it the second time around. Plus, the show's continued mention of how Cory and Topanga had been a couple since kindergarten was a complete and total insult to the audience's intelligence as we all knew it wasn't true; They didn't officially become a couple until the beginning of Season Three. While I can see myself going back and re-watching the early seasons again the later season sets will likely sit on my shelf collecting dust. |
