I decided to go to this MLW show in Tampa Bay during a 3-day weekend at work in late March. This will be my first-time going to Tampa Bay, I was originally going there for Mania Weekend 2020 but the pandemic canceled those events and I have been meaning to get there at some point. With lots (lots= 5 months worth) of retro pay coming due to winning arbitration, I should definitely be able to go to both Tampa Bay for this trip and then to Philadelphia the following weekend for Mania Weekend. For this show, I think MSL's faction will be one of the sides in the War Chamber match. I attended the first MLW War Chamber event in North Richland Hills Texas, with Team Von Erich taking on Contra. It was a well done match, but MLW's smaller ring (I am pretty sure they were using a 16' X 16') and one ring set up made the match feel very crowded... Claustrophobic almost.

Claustrophobic almost. yeah 8-10 wrestlers inside a cage around only 1 ring is a packed environment, MLW went to the single cage War Chamber matchup after they came to an agreement to allow the WWE to obtain the War Games rights which MLW had earlier trademarked and part of the agreement was that MLW would no longer use either the War Games name or concept. |

Tickets went on sale this morning and (during my prep using my personal laptop which I brought to work today as I can't use my work computer to buy tickets) I bought myself a front row ticket.
Not counting going to next-door California (which I have done several times recently) or Rome (a family-based trip,) this will be my first trip anywhere since Galacticon last July.

of course right after I buy my ticket to this show today I find out at work that our 10% raise will not show up on checks next week as we were originally promised and instead it will now start to show up on the first February check but thus make the retro pay check in March even bigger as it will now include the missed increased pay for January, if I knew that originally I would not have planned to make this trip
but I am still going to this show as I already have my ticket and my flight home, I was going to buy my flight there next week with my raise but now I will use my credit card for that flight (I have my eye on one particular flight at a good time and price that I do not want to lose) and just wait until the raise kicks in for any more trip-related purchases such as Blue Jays/Rays ticket etc

Well, that bites. But I guess as long as they don't push your money back any further you should be ok. Put it on the card and pay the card off soon as you get the money. Plus, being a Rays game means you will have NO trouble getting a ticket at any time. Heck, you could walk up right before first pitch and probably get a good if not great seat right there and then.

It looks like this trip is indeed happening as I saw that my 10% raise starts on tomorrow's paycheck (on a side note our superintendent, who for no reason at all delayed this raise given to us from the Nevada legislature for almost 6 months, is leaving as he is also currently under investigation by the US Department of Justce for misusing COVID funs for "recruiting trips" to places such as Waikiki and Miami Beach that resulted in zero hires.) MLW earlier this week did announce Unagi Sayaka will make her MLW debut on this show. She is currently a free agent.  |
