This won’t be a super popular opinion but I’m going to say it anyways. We’re at the point where they should give us nothing. Just the memories included with your convention fee moving forward.
It all started a long time ago when Con attendees were no longer allowed to know the names in the new set first without complaints. People immediately needed spoilers on the board or it was unfair.
Then it wasn’t fair to get the sets first, or hear exclusive spoilers from Tom, or get exclusive Con cards.
Now we have gone ALL THE WAY BACK to the start by getting black and white cards in an effort to please everybody while effectively pleasing almost nobody.
So just stop doing it.
Maybe just stop doing the Cons all together. Because at this point where we get no real spoilers, surprises or anything special for attending —- honestly it’s really just a few hours of watching Troy play COTG Online.
Wolfie D was outstanding though. Best part of the whole thing.

What I suggested on the Discord was that if people wanted to get a black and white printing of Classics 74-75, they should email or message Tom directly. This. Chad Olson's comments were an encouragement to those of us that wanted the Early Classics released in B&W, as a form of nostalgia should email Tom so he understands the support for the venture. I myself, even though I am done with EC - played through with the original cards, as I am playing through the history of the fed with the original cards as well - I still bought them. I believe that almost all of us that are calling out for B&W cards, would buy each set of the EC in B&W and color.

The only other option I could see would be that these "exclusives" at Cons means you get them first but then they are made available for purchase when new sets are released as singles or at a discount rate if you order all of them as a bundle.

I do not get this, really I don't.
Why shouldn't there be an incentive to attend the cons in person or now virtually?
Until this whole virtual thing started, if you didn't attend Galacticon you just missed out on any con exclusives or bootlegs that were there.
Nobody complained, that's just the way it was - hence why I don't own the ORIGINAL Akuma card.
We knew to get our butts to Galacticon or possibly miss out on something special.
I don't know..... NM
Carry on.

I'm an online player. I have to agree with @travis605 that it is weird that the charts aren't correct. To be honest, Online was a complete dumpster fire when I signed up a few years back, so credit should be given for the improvements made since then. It's more reliable in terms of availability & speed and all the main sets are playable. There's still more to do though. The Simulator doesn't really work if we are honest and the whole game table interface is really old fashioned. There's been many questions asked regarding the gallery for 2039 (only the 2039 wrestlers appear rather than all wrestlers)and I haven't seen an answer (sorry if I've missed it).

Here's my two cents on the exclusive con cards:
Unlike most people, I don't have online access at my fingertips 24/7. I go to the library to use a computer so it's impossible to attend a virtual con.
It also doesn't make financial sense for me to buy a ticket for a con I can't attend just to get one or two cards when I don't even know who they'll be. Would it be nice to own a complete set of cards? Sure it would. But I won't lose any sleep over not having more jobbers, alternate versions, or indie stars now on TV. I have plenty of cards to occupy my time, but if the exclusives were sold individually or as a set, I'd probably buy them.
Now if they ever have con exclusive cards for big names like Flair, Hogan, Bruno, Austin, etc., then I'd really be mad! Until then, I just have to hope that the old black & white PDF cards that I don't have like Johnnie Stewart, Dark Patriot, Abe Lincoln, Wrestling Bear, etc. will be sold--not exclusives.
Sorry if this sounds like a rant. That wasn't my intention. Just explaining my situation. I'm a long-time fan who still enjoys the game after all these years, and I'll continue buying new sets until the day I die, but then I hope I can become a zombie so I can still play! LOL

I am going to make a guess that if we ever get the names you listed they wouldn't be con exclusives for that very reason.

On Grant’s board, Chad made a suggestion to voice concerns to Tom and company, so I thought why not make this thread. Now lets get something out of the way. I love this game and It’s a hobby that’s lasted from 1989 until today. I promote the hell out of it in hopes of getting it to grow, but like people, no company is perfect, but if people express their issues and/or concerns, it can prove to be helpful because it may not even be known by those in charge. So lets start: 1) Secrecy. I wish this game had a million fans, but it doesn’t. It’s a niche game and that’s ok. It makes it a close community as many of us are personal friends, talk outside of the COTG bubble, but the secrecy is confusing. I’m not talking about who is the next big Legends signing or which Gladiator will get a Cleansing in the next edition, but with what happened at the end of last year in Promoter Prime. If that was explained beforehand, I guarantee all players would’ve been okay with the situation. All that was needed to be said at the beginning, instead of weeks of speculation and frustration, “Hey promoters. The Q3 GWF offering didn’t turn out like we hoped, so we’re just going to delay and release it with the Q4 offering. We apologize for the delay, but we want to make sure the best product available is out there.” And make sure these, or any, announcements aren’t buried within an ongoing thread. Make sure it’s posted on the main site, facebook, twitter…even pin those announcements at the top of the discussion boards. Make sure that stuff is posted anywhere eyes will see it. The secrecy and unwillingness to take ownership of lackluster communication is probably my biggest concern. It comes across as "we took your money and we will send the cards out if/when we feel like it". I know that is not the true view of FG, but the deathly silence makes this an issue. Travis' recommendation was a 3 second fix that would have instantly solved last Fall's uprising. I also buy games from a 2 person company and communication of good or even bad news is never an issue. That company has no such rumblings due to simple communication. I also agree Con cards should be available at a future point (minus the types of cards Vegas astutely pointed out).
