Card #008 Pickens County High School Gymnasium Jasper, GA 2/21/09
1. The Road Warriors defeated Larry Sharpe & Johnny Rodz when Hawk pinned Sharpe after a back breaker. This one was ugly! The Road Warriors were in a bad mood after the commissioner's office made the announcement on World Championship Wrestling that Bob Orton and Mike Dibiase were the number one contenders and not The Road Warriors. Larry Sharpe took the punishment in this one as Johnny Rodz wanted nothing to do with the angry Warriors. Two DOOMSDAY DEVICEs were not enough for Hawk who broke the pin each time. A big back breaker to the helpless Sharpe finally ended the match and the Road Warriors seem determined to inflict similar damage on the Valiants.
2. "Cowboy" Dick Hutton defeated Dewey Robertson w/ corner man Killer Kowalski with an ABDOMINAL STRETCH. A handshake started this one and both men seemed determined to ensure that this one took place within the squared circle. Neither man went for the cheap advantage either which, with the competitive nature of the match, was surprising. Robertson's corner man Killer Kowalski was screaming for Robertson to take it to Hutton, but Dewey continued wrestling a clean match. Kowalski was generating so much heat from the fans for his antics they started throwing trash at him! Robertson could never find the opening he was looking for and eventually submitted to "Cowboy" Dick's ABDOMINAL STRETCH. After the match both men shook hands again and the GCW fans applauded the sportsmanship.
However, Killer Kowalski got into the ring and began berating his Canadian brother. Robertson was clearly trying to laugh it off and head to the back, but Kowalski continued pulling him back into the ring. Robertson shook his head and turned his back on the big man which turned out to be a costly mistake! Kowalski hit Robertson with a big forearm blow to the back of the head and began stomping him! He picked Dewey up and locked in the CLAW HOLD!! GCW security officials tried to make him break it, but Kowalski's iron grip would not loosen! Finally he left a battered Dewey Robertson lying flat in the middle of the ring.
3. $50,000 Challenge: "The Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase w/ Virgil defeated George South with the MILLION DOLLAR DREAM. George South let it be known early that he did not come to lose! Dibiase playfully started the match by "allowing" George South to get the upper hand and South fired off vicious rights and lefts and sent "The Million Dollar Man" outside of the ring running to hide behind Virgil! South continued his assault on the money man and for a couple of minutes, it looked like Dibiase might be in real trouble. Finally Dibiase found an advantage by throwing South out of the ring and allowing Virgil to nail a couple of kicks. South had one more opportunity to take the upper hand in the match, but, unfortunately, Dibiase proved to be too strong. One MILLION DOLLAR DREAM later and George South lay motionless in the ring. After the match, Dibiase shoved $100 bills in South's mouth and called out a challenge to Bobo Brazil.
4. The Sandman defeated "Playboy" Buddy Rose w/ Cherie Dupre with the White Russian leg sweep. Buddy Rose did not continue his winning ways against the the team of Baker, Sandman, & Hutton, however, he continued proving his resilency as he took copious amounts of punishment from The Sandman and his Singapore Cane. By the end of the match Rose's face and his blonde hair were colored red with his blood and even the audience seemed reluctant to cheer on another blow from The Sandman's cane. After the match, The Sandman chased Cherie Dupre to the back.
5. Nikolai Volkoff w/ Nikita Breznikov defeated Ilio Dipaolo with the BACKBREAKER DROP. Before the match Nikita Breznikov antagonized the crowd by saying that Ilio Dipaolo made a grave mistake by aligning himself with "American losers" like Red Bastien and The Destroyer. Dipaolo, he said, now faces the same fate as his friends: defeat. Nikolai sang the National Anthem of the Soviet Union to resounding boos and trash pelting him in the head. When the match finally got underway, Dipaolo quickly assaulted the big man with some heavy blows, but nothing seemed to shake the Communist strong man! Volkoff continued using his overwhelming power to his advantage and eventually nailed the devastating BACKBREAKER DROP for the victory. Can Breznikov's men be beaten?
6. Nick Bockwinkel defeated Frank Gotch with the BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER. Nick Bockwinkel has had quite a chip on his shoulder recently and Frank Gotch has been a favorite target for Bock's harsh words. Gotch, however, has not responded kindly to Bockwinkel's claims and got Bockwinkel to accept this match last week on World Championship. Gotch started out on the offensive, but Bockwinkel quickly gained control and maintained it. After locking his opponent in the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK, Bockwinkel quickly went to his SLEEPER and took his opponent out of competition. After the referee called for the bell, Bockwinkel would not let go of the SLEEPER! He continued holding it until the referee threatened to reverse his decision. Bockwinkel walked out to a chorus of boos and EMTs had to help Frank Gotch to the locker room.
7. GCW World Heavyweight champion "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers & "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka defeated Brutus Beefcake & Greg Valentine when Rogers pinned Beefcake after a dropkick. HUGE heat for Valentine & Beefcake during ring introductions. Last week the two men assaulted Buddy Rogers after his match with Johnny Valentine and the audience showed their disapproval by pelting the men in the head with popcorn and Cokes. Snuka, however, got the crowd's loving approval as he and Rogers team for the first time since the GCW World Tag Team Title tournament. The match itself consisted of Valentine & Beefcake running from "Superfly" and Rogers until Snuka and Rogers could contain them in the ring. Neither Beefcake nor Valentine could get the upperhand over the champion or his partner and the GCW fans absolutely loved it! The match ended with a big dropkick from Rogers to Beefcake that earned the 1-2-3! Buddy Rogers faces a big challenge next weekend in Savannah as he puts his GCW World Heavyweight Title on the line against his hated rival, Johnny Valentine.
8. GCW World Tag Team champions The Valiant Brothers defeated Bob Orton, Sr. & "Iron" Mike Dibiase when Johnny Valiant pinned Dibiase after the TOP ROPE ELBOW. A controversial main event, no doubt, and the fans let the Valiants know exactly how cowardly they feel they are after going to the GCW commissioner to side step The Road Warriors. Orton and Dibiase continued looking like a solid team and at times during the match even seemed like they might be able to pull out the huge upset. However, The Valiants are World Tag Team champions and their chemistry as a team is the main reason why they hold that honor. Dibiase and Orton could never cut the ring in half like The Valiants and, in the end, caused them to fall victim to the champions. After the match Johnny Valiant grabbed the ring announcer's microphone and told the audience that they are all pieces of white trash and no one in the GCW Offices care how they feel about The Road Warriors getting their precious GCW World Tag Team Title shot. The audience was on the verge of rioting and Valiant had to high tail it out of the ring with his brother, and their belts, in order to avoid the crowd's wrath!

Highlights from World Championship Wrestling- Gordon Solie started the show by reading a letter from the GCW Commissioner. This is the letter:
To Whom It May Concern,
The Road Warriors actions this weekend in Jasper, GA were disgusting and despicable. If The Road Warriors are still questioning why I chose not to give them a title shot they should look no further than their mistreatment of Larry Sharpe. The GCW World Tag Team Titles are a symbol of tag team greatness and of achievement and the team will also represent the GCW as a whole. We can not afford to have brawling knuckleheads like The Road Warriors representing us. If The Road Warriors feel any mistreatment by my hand then they should, perhaps, take a look in the mirror and consider an attitude adjustment.
Signed, James E. Cornette, GCW Commissioner
- Johnny Valentine was interviewed and told Gordon Solie that he would give Gordon his first one-on-one interview as the new GCW World Heavyweight champion. When Gordon reminded Johnny that he still has to beat Buddy Rogers for the title, Valentine became a little angry and told Gordon that he has already pinned Rogers cleanly once which is more than Buddy can say. Gordon told the fans in Savannah they should clear their schedules and make sure to be there on Saturday night, because Rogers/Valentine will be an absolute war!
- Killer Kowalski was interviewed about his actions this weekend with Dewey Robertson. Kowalski called Robertson a loser and said that he had carried him around for far too long. Kowalski then said he has a new manager and he will do the speaking for the Killer from now on. Kowalski introduced The Grand Wizard of Professional Wrestling! The Grand Wizard came out and said that both Buddy Rogers and Johnny Valentine had better watch out, because Kowalski has his eyes on one thing: the GCW World Heavyweight Title.
- A fired up Bobo Brazil took the microphone and said that he is sick and tired of Ted Dibiase. Bobo said had he been in town in Jasper that Dibiase never would have had the gall to brutally attack George South the way he did. During Bobo's rant King Kong Bundy made his way out to the podium. Bobo asked Bundy if he was tired of being treated like Dibiase's play thing. Bundy remained silent and Bobo asked him one more time. While Bobo was facing Bundy, Buff Bagwell ran from the back and nailed Bobo with some forearms. Bundy then joined in on the attack! Ted Dibiase made his way out and told Bobo that every man has a price and that price is worth more than all the dignity in the world!
- The Destroyer announced that he has filed with the GCW Commissioner's Office for another re-match with The Iron Sheik, except this time, The Iron Sheik must wrestle without his boot!
- Nick Bockwinkel was interviewed and told that he had put Frank Gotch on the shelf for six weeks. Bockwinkel said that he has now proven he is the number one contender and once Buddy Rogers and Johnny Valentine get over their love fest then he will gladly take the title off of either Valentine or Rogers. Greg Valentine came out and old Bockwinkel that he had best keep his nose where it belongs and Bockwinkel responded right across Valentine's face! The two men then brawled all over the TBS Studios!
2/28 Preview is NEXT!

February 28th at the Savannah Civic Center in Savannah, GA!!- The GCW World Heavyweight Title is on the line as "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers defends against Johnny Valentine. Everyone knows the history between these two and this one is not likely to be pretty. Johnny Valentine comes into the match with some momentum after his clean pinfall victory over Rogers two weeks ago in Dalton. Can Valentine duplicate his success? Or will Rogers step up his game with the title on the line? Either way, these two had an absolute war in Dalton and it's expected to be an absolute war in Savannah!
- Speaking of red hot rivalries, The Destroyer & Red Bastien can not wait to get their hands on Nikolai Volkoff & The Iron Sheik! The Destroyer and Bastien hold a DQ victory over Sheik & Volkoff, but in singles competition neither man has been able to emerge victorious. Will Sheik & Volkoff find a way to win or will Destroyer & Bastien walk away the winners? The loaded boot will be a factor whether it is seen or not and Bastien & The Destroyer know this. They have promised to fight fire with fire and this is their opportunity to do so!
- The Road Warriors are not happy campers, especially after Commissioner Cornette's letter on World Championship Wrestling. Somehow Animal got a one-on-one match with Johnny Valiant and it promises to be explosive! Animal's tag team partner, Hawk, has already recorded a victory over Jimmy Valiant and Animal plans to do the same this weekend against Johnny. If he does, what argument can Cornette possibly make these men do not deserve a title shot?
- Nick Bockwinkel and Greg Valentine got into an unexpected brawl on television and in Savannah, they will take it to the ring! Nick Bockwinkel can not be convinced that he is not the number one contender for the GCW World Heavyweight Title and Greg Valentine's father, Johnny, is challenging for the belt on this very card. Bockwinkel has been making a strong case for himself thus far, but he faces a formidable opponent in Greg Valentine. Valentine has, this year, recorded victories over Jimmy Snuka and Killer Kowalski.
- Two superstars who have gotten off to struggling starts, Giant Baba & Jimmy Snuka, will face off in the squared circle! Baba approached Snuka with the match and Snuka was ready for the challenge! It's sure to be a great competition between two athletes! However, what will Baba's injured training partner, Frank Gotch, have to say about Baba taking his talents elsewhere?
- Bobo Brazil is the "The People's Champion" and likes to right whatever wrongs he can find! This past weekend his crusading backfired on him after King Kong Bundy and Buff Bagwell ambushed him. Bobo is fed up and is teaming with Ilio Dipaolo. Dipaolo says that Brazil stuck up for him when Dibiase ambushed Ilio after their match in Columbus and Dipaolo wanted to repay the favor. Will Dipaolo and Brazil be able to take out Bundy and Bagwell? Or will the Million Dollar Corporation reign supreme?
- It's the war that keeps on going as The Sandman teams with Ox Baker to face Gorgeous George and "Playboy" Buddy Rose. Sandman bloodied Rose to a pulp last weekend and Buddy would like some revenge. Ox Baker is looking for some revenge of his own after Gorgeous George's cheap victory at The Omni Coliseum. George & Rose would love to walk away from this one with a victory, but one thing is for sure, whoever walks away will likely be wearing a crimson mask!
- Killer Kowalski will be in action and will be accompanied by his new manager The Grand Wizard of Professional Wrestling. Kowalski had better be careful, because no one has heard from Dewey Robertson and he may be waiting around any corner for his revenge on the Killer!
- Also, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan will make his first formal offer to a GCW superstar!
This one is packed and loaded folks! You do not want to GCW action in Savannah, GA!

Card #009 Savannah Civic Center Savannah, GA 2/28/09
1. Killer Kowalski w/ The Grand Wizard of Professional Wrestling defeated Johnny Rodz after a jumping elbow smash. Kowalski got the crowd good and ticked off early. Kowalski absolutely manhandled Rodz, throwing him out of the ring to show the crowd his handy work a bit more closely. The Grand Wizard continued heckling the fans and they did not let him off easily, however, their responses cannot be published here! Kowalski quickly ended the match and began yelling for Dewey Robertson. The Grand Wizard told Kowalski that Robertson was too much of a coward to show up and Kowalski headed to the back.
Gordon Solie introduced Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and detailed Heenan's search for a client. Bobby told Solie that he had an offer that was going to shake the wrestling world at its very core. "The Brain" said he has been searching high and low for the most talented superstars in the world and he has received interest from many, many wrestlers. However, there is only one that he has his eye on: The Destroyer.
Heenan laid out an argument saying that The Destroyer has twice been close to the GCW National Heavyweight Title only to have it stripped because of the disadvantage of not having someone at ringside to help him out. Heenan said that The Destroyer surrounds himself with, "rubes, animals, dunderheads like Red Bastien and Ilio Dipaolo," instead of "men of greater intelligence," like Heenan. Therefore, "The Brain" laid out an offer to be The Destroyer's manager and he promised that Destroyer would be wearing GCW gold within six weeks of Heenan's managerial debut!
2. Gorgeous George & "Playboy" Buddy Rose w/ Cherie Dupre defeated Ox Baker & The Sandman via DQ when Sandman nailed Buddy Rose on the head with the Singapore cane. Another huge brawl between these two teams! The bad blood in this feud just keeps getting worse! Neither team wanted to keep this one in the ring and Buddy Rose wanted no part of The Sandman after last week's vicious beating. Gorgeous George and Ox Baker continued their violent rivalry; allowing their fight to spill out to the arena floor on top of Cherie Dupre. Finally order was restored after George had done some damage to Baker and Rose hit the big BOMBS AWAY KNEEDROP. However, The Sandman did not approve of this and nailed Rose right on the head with the Singpore cane. Buddy was knocked unconscious and he had to be helped from the ringside area. Gorgeous George was screaming about Sandman being a monster and how he must be stopped!
3. Giant Baba defeated "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka with a Russian leg sweep. Two superstars who expected much better fortune in the early weeks of GCW faced off in this one and the crowd got a very sportsmanlike contest. Snuka and Baba began with a handshake and then Snuka tried to use his speed to conquer Baba's great power advantage. However, Baba's mat skills and power turned out to be too great for Snuka to counter and the speedster began relying on other techniques--i.e. throwing Baba out of the ring. However, it wasn't enough and Baba quickly got the 1-2-3 with a big Russian leg sweep. After the match both men shook hands even though Snuka was visibly upset with himself.
4. Road Warrior Animal defeated GCW World Tag Team champion Johnny Valiant via count out after Animal attacked Valiant to the point where he could not respond to the ten count. This was one was pretty brutal. Valiant refused to get into the ring to begin with and the crowd got a tad bit testy. Valiant quickly entered the ring after the finish to last week's main event in Jasper saw the fans riot on the Valiant Brothers. Once in the ring, Animal was a man on a mission. However, that mission didn't seem to be pinning Johnny Valiant. No, Animal merely wanted to put this half of the GCW Tag Team champions into the ER! Throughout the match Valiant kept rolling outside of the ring to break Animal's momentum or to feign going to the back to promptly end the match. Animal eventually had enough of this and met Valiant on the outside. He through Valiant into the guard rail and nailed Johnny's head on the ring post. Animal met the referee's count, however, Valiant could not. What will Commissioner Cornette have to say about Animal's outburst tonight?
5. Bobo Brazil & Ilio Dipaolo defeated Buff Bagwell & King Kong Bundy w/ Virgil when Dipaolo pinned Bagwell after an AIRPLANE SPIN. Dipaolo and Brazil formed quite a formidable tag team in this, their first showing together. Dibiase's henchmen, Bundy and Bagwell, were on the offensive early and laying quite a beating to Bobo, however, Brazil worked himself out of the jam with some big COCO BUTTs to both Bundy & Bagwell. When Dipaolo was tagged the crowd absolutely exploded! He went straight to work on Bagwell and nailed the big AIRPLANE SPIN. Both Virgil and Bundy tried to break the count to continue the match, but Bobo Brazil met both men with some big right hands to the kisser! After the ref finished the three count Bobo and Ilio ran Bagwell out of the ring and Bobo announced to the crowd that he wants Ted Dibiase in the ring!
6. Nick Bockwinkel defeated Greg Valentine with the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. The crowd wasn't sure who they should be behind in this one, so they were just howling for blood! After the brawl all over the WTBS Studios on World Championship Wrestling, these two men were signed to settle their disputes in the ring. Valentine took the boots to Bockwinkel and "The Most Intelligent Man in Professional Wrestling" seemed to have a difficult time finding any opening on Valentine. However Valentine made the crucial mistake of throwing Bockwinkel out of the ring and taking some time to pose for the audience which created an opening for the still unpinned Bockwinkel, who took full advantage of the situation. After applying the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK, Valentine's own specialty, Bockwinkel easily got the victory. Valentine did take Bockwinkel to the limit and it's hard to see this one just ending here!
7. GCW National Heavyweight champion The Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff w/ Nikita Breznikov defeated Red Bastien & The Destroyer via count out after Sheik knocked The Destroyer out with the loaded boot and rolled him out of the ring. Breznikov's men started with the anthems and the Savannah crowd wanted absolutely no part of it! The Destroyer and Red Bastien didn't allow for the crowd to have much of a reaction as they took the fight to their hated rivals. Bastien and the Sheik had a particularly nasty brawl early on when both men were busted open from punches to each other's forehead. Once The Destroyer took over, the fans went wild! Destroyer went to work on both Volkoff and Sheik and seemingly had Sheik where he wanted him, ready for the pinfall. However, Sheik nailed him with the big loaded boot and then rolled his opponent out to the arena floor. Destroyer could not respond to the count and the crowd was absolutely LIVID! GCW Security had to help Volkoff and Sheik leave the arena and the ring quickly filled up with garbage. There was a fifteen minute intermission for everyone to cool down and so the ring could be cleaned for the main event.
After the fifteen minutes, Gordon Solie made his way to the ring and announced that next week at the Mid-South Auditorium in Griffin, GA The Destroyer and The Iron Sheik would meet in a no DQ, no count out, Bootcamp Match for the GCW National Heavyweight Title! Maybe now, the boot can be effectively countered!
8. Johnny Valentine defeated GCW World Heavyweight champion "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers with the ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER to win the title! The audience was going absolutely mad during the entire main event! Buddy Rogers had the advantage early and with each blow landed on Johnny Valentine the crowd wanted more and more! By the end of the match, both were busted open and looking to find any advantage they could, though neither man seemed able to give in. Valentine dangerously skirted close to disqualification throughout the entire match as he would take the champion outside of the ring and slam his head into the ring post. Toward the end of the match Rogers finally locked on his FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE and it seemed that the challenger would definitely give up. However, Valentine--driven by either his hatred for Rogers or his want to be GCW World Heavyweight champion--refused to give in. He made it to the ropes and the entire Savannah Civic Center fell silent. When Valentine hit the ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER to win the match, and the title, the fans booed heavily and were clearly agitated, but after the war they had just seen Johnny Valentine earned their respect.

Highlights from World Championship Wrestling- The Destroyer kicked off this week's show with an exclusive interview given to GCW reporter Ed Capral. The Destroyer said that he will take the GCW National Heavyweight Title from The Iron Sheik next weekend in Griffin now that the rules allow for fair play. He discussed the vicious attack this weekend in Savannah he received at the hands of The Iron Sheik. The Destroyer said that it is business as usual with Sheik, Volkoff, and Breznikov and that once he finishes The Iron Sheik, he will finish off Nikita Breznikov. Capral asked about Bobby Heenan's offer and The Destroyer brushed it off, saying that he doesn't want to be associated with a man like Bobby Heenan.
- Johnny Valentine, the new GCW World Heavyweight champion, was met in the WTBS Studios with resounding boos. Valentine said that he is a man who lives up to his promises and that last week he promised Gordon Solie the first one-on-one interview with him as GCW World Heavyweight champion. Solie asked Valentine about the return match with Buddy Rogers and all Valentine would say is that no contract has been signed as of yet. Solie also asked about "Number one contender, Nick Bockwinkel," who pinned Valentine's son, Greg, in Savannah. Valentine said that any time Nick Bockwinkel is feeling froggy he can jump.
- Gordon Solie announced that on 3/14 at the VFW Fairgrounds in Carrollton, "Playboy" Buddy Rose and The Sandman will have a chance to settle their disputes in a Singapore Cane match. Rose has been the victim of a caning two straight weeks now and you know he wants to return the favor to The Sandman.
- Ted Dibiase announced that he and Virgil will be wrestling a warm-up match next weekend in Griffin. Dibiase said that he has to get limber for his encounter with Bobo Brazil on 3/14 and that he wants to show Bobo exactly what he's going to do to "The People's Champion,"!
- Nikita Breznikov was interviewed and said that Bockwinkel continues boasting about his "unpinned streak" but he has failed to look at another man who holds the same credentials: Nikolai Volkoff! Breznikov said that no man has pinned Volkoff in singles competition and that he deserves just as much consideration as Nick Bockwinkel in the #1 contender argument. Bockwinkel's friend, Harley Race, showed up and said that any complaints about the "number one contender" go through him. Breznikov said that Volkoff would pin both Race and Bockwinkel in the middle of the ring at the same time! Race said he will end Volkoff's unbeaten streak in Griffin!
March 7th at the Mid-South Auditorium in Griffin, GA!!- It's a HUGE main event as The Iron Sheik defends his GCW National Heavyweight Title in a boot camp match against The Destroyer! Anything goes in this one, folks and The Destroyer can't wait to take all that built up aggression out on The Iron Sheik!
- In a rematch from Savannah, "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka will face Giant Baba! Snuka was disappointed by his performance last weekend and wanted one more chance to prove himself in the ring with the big man.
- Nikita Breznikov's mouth may have bitten off more than it can chew this week as not only does his champion, The Iron Sheik, face The Destroyer, but Nikolai Volkoff faces Harley Race. Whatever business agreement Bockwinkel and Race have, it's working, because everyone must go through Race before they get to Bockwinkel!
- Their announcement as number one contenders for the GCW World Tag Team Titles stunned the world and now Bob Orton, Sr. and "Iron" Mike Dibiase face The Road Warriors! The Road Warriors felt like they were real number one contenders and now they get to take out that aggression on Orton and Dibiase. However, Orton and Dibiase have been known to pull out the surprising victories this year and just because of the loss to the Valiants does not mean these men should be underestimated!
- He put King Kong Bundy in the hospital and now he must face The Walking Condominium! Ox Baker and King Kong Bundy will go at it again and, folks, do not let the children see this one! Bundy is one of the most brutal individuals in GCW and he is seeking revenge in this one! It could be very, very nasty.
- Ted Dibiase and Virgil wrestle a warm-up as Dibiase prepares to face Bobo Brazil in Carrollton. However, one of their opponents will be George South and, folks, South still has some unfinished business with Ted Dibiase. South teams with the "Firebrand from the Bronox", Johnny Rodz. It's an uphill battle, but Rodz and South are looking for a fight!
- Killer Kowalski will be in action against The Sandman! Kowalski looked devastating last week in Savannah and no one knows what to expect from the big man since aligning himself with The Grand Wizard. The other unknown: Dewey Robertson! Will Robertson find his retribution in Griffin? Or will he leave GCW fans waiting another week?
- Plus, a big tag team contest as Red Bastien & Ilio Dipaolo team up to face Gorgeous George & "Playboy" Buddy Rose!
- Bobby Heenan will be in attendance and you know his attention will be turned to the GCW National Heavyweight Title match! The Destroyer had some not so nice words for Heenan on World Championship Wrestling. Will that turn "The Brain" away? Or simply make him try harder?

Card #010 Mid-South Auditorium Griffin, GA 03/07/09
1. Gorgeous George & "Playboy" Buddy Rose w/ Cherie Dupre defeated Red Bastien & Ilio Dipaolo when Dipaolo submitted to George's SPINNING TOE HOLD. George and Rose looked exceptionally focused after last week's victory over The Sandman & Ox Baker was taken away from them. Rose was sporting a bandage on his forehead after the Singapore Cane attack and looked very ginger in the ring. Bastien & Dipaolo tried to focus their attack on the weaker Rose, but after a flurry of offense from Bastien early, the team could never get back on track. Rose and George effectively double teamed Dipaolo setting up The Gorgeous One's big TOE HOLD, that brought the team victory. Rose gets ready next week for his big Singapore Cane match with The Sandman.
2. Killer Kowalski w/ The Grand Wizard of Professional Wrestling defeated The Sandman via pin fall after a jumping elbow smash. Kowalski drew a ton of heat and the Wizard continued agonizing the fans and eventually got a cup of Coca-Cola right in the face for his actions. Before the match, Sandman grabbed a microphone and got the crowd even more worked up!
"Hey, Kayla--hahaha--how'd you like to meet my Singapore Cane?"
Sandman never got the opportunity for a proper introduction of the two. Kowalski tore into him and quickly disposed of his opponent and went to taunt the fans with his manager. However a man in a black leather jacket came out of the crowd and grabbed The Sandman's beloved Singapore Cane! It's Dewey Robertson! Robertson tapped Kowalski on the shoulder nailed the big man with the cane and continued with a vicious assault! After it was clear that Kowalski was down, Robertson turned his sights on The Grand Wizard who was already high tailing it to the dressing room.
3. "The Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase & Virgil defeated George South & Johnny Rodz via submission when South gave up in Virgil's COBRA CLUTCH. Dibiase proclaimed this a warm up match for his encounter next weekend in Carrollton with Bobo Brazil. Dibiase started against George South and South was still looking for that coveted pin fall over "The Million Dollar Man". However, whenever South had a strong offense going, Dibiase would roll out of the ring, much to the dismay of the Griffin crowd. Eventually Dibiase performed a couple of moves on South and evenly loosely applied the MILLION DOLLAR DREAM, but then he declared that he was done for the evening and allowed Virgil to come in the ring and finish off South. South was desperately struggling to tag in Rodz, but even Virgil was too much for him at this point. Dibiase and Virgil humiliated both men after the match and walked to the back with trash pelting them in the head.
4. King Kong Bundy defeated Ox Baker after a running power slam. Virgil could not be there for his Million Dollar Corporation companion, after just wrestling in the previous match. Bundy didn't need the help anyway, absolutely plowing through Ox Baker. Bundy mimicked the HEART PUNCH, but instead just used his awesome size to throw Baker, no small man, around like a child. After Bundy was done, he was nailed the big power slam and put Baker down for the three count.
5. Bob Orton, Sr. & "Iron" Mike Dibiase defeated The Road Warriors when Orton pinned Hawk after a PILEDRIVER. You read that one right, folks! Another HUGE upset by Orton & Dibiase and this one probably ended what little chance The Road Warriors had of facing The Valiant Brothers next weekend in Carrollton. The Roadies could never find the upper hand and Dibiase and Orton used their chemistry to absolutely dominate this one. A BIG piledriver from Orton put Hawk down the count and Dibiase kept Animal out of the equation, with a big shoulder block--that had every little bit of the much smaller Dibiase behind it--giving Orton and Dibiase another upset victory. How can you not root for these guys?
6. Nikolai Volkoff w/ Nikita Breznikov defeated Harley Race via count-out. Volkoff had a sweat shirt on prematch that read: "USSR's #1 CONTENDER!"Like last week's Bockwinkel/Greg Valentine match, the crowd wasn't exactly sure who they should be behind in this one. It seems their hatred for Breznikov and Volkoff overcame all as Race wound up getting most of the cheers, but he certainly wasn't welcoming them. This was a pretty lengthy brawl and almost turned into an all out war, until Volkoff got the upper hand and absolutely assaulted Race on the outside of the ring. Volkoff beat the ten count and goes home with a victory over Harley Race.
7. "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka defeated Giant Baba via pin fall after a flying headbutt. This friendly competition continued, not spilling out of the ring a single time which is quite a feat with Jimmy Snuka involved. Baba again tried to exploit the same weaknesses Snuka showed last weekend in Savannah, but Snuka seemed to have actually studied the videotape and done everything to improve on his weaknesses the previous weak. Baba's strength was still a little overwhelming, as it would be to anyone, but Snuka kept in check by playing a cat and mouse game with the big man. Eventually Snuka hit the flying headbutt and responded to Baba's victory last weekend with a victory of his own!
8. Bootcamp Match: GCW National Heavyweight champion The Iron Sheik w/ Nikita Breznikov defeated The Destroyer after an attack with the loaded boot to retain his title. Talk about a war! The Destroyer came into this one seeking retribution and buckets of blood, he certainly got the buckets of blood! Both men hit one another with chairs, ring bells, boots, Destroyer had loaded his mask with something, they spilled into the crowd which was dangerous as fans started attempting to stick Sheik! The men took it back into the ring where Destroyer launched into an assault with a steel chair that produced the bloodiest man in the history of the GCW! Destroyer thought he had the match won there, however, Sheik somehow found the will to keep going! Destroyer went outside to grab the GCW National Heavyweight Title belt and attempt to destroy the Sheik with that. However, Sheik found the time to get his boot off and he crushed it right on Destroyer's head. The referee counted the 1-2-3 and Sheik walked away again, still the champion.
Bobby Heenan came down post match and helped The Destroyer get out of the ring. I doubt Destroyer knew who was helping him, but "The Brain" helped carry the defeated challenger to the back.

Highlights from World Championship Wrestling- Frank Gotch was interviewed and talked about meeting with the GCW Commissioner next week to discuss a possible suspension for Nick Bockwinkel for his refusal to release his sleeper hold two weeks ago in Jasper. Gotch did announce that he would wrestle an exhibition against "a true gentleman, Dick Hutton" in Carrollton.
- Dewey Robertson was interviewed and he discussed his caning of Killer Kowalski in Griffin. He said that Killer's assault in Jasper was uncalled for and that he [Robertson] had been home recovering from the attack. He said that he is fully healed and that the Singapore Cane should be the least of Kowalski's concerns now, because he is ready to finish off the Killer!
- Buddy Rogers & Jimmy Snuka were interviewed and the two men said that they are more ready than ever to take out the Valentines and they have the opportunity to do so this weekend in Carrollton. GOrdon Solie also announced that on March 21st in Athens, GA Buddy Rogers would get his rematch against Johnny Valentine for the GCW World Heavyweight Title.

March 14th at the VFW Fairgrounds in Carrollton, GA!- Bob Orton, Sr. & "Iron" Mike Dibiase proved last week in Griffin that they were no one trick pony with their defeat of The Road Warriors. They get another shot at GCW Tag Team gold this weekend as they face The Valiant Brothers. The last time these two teams faced off The Valiants won with relative ease, but Orton and Dibiase will be riding a wave of momentum after taking down The Roadies. Will they be able to walk away tag team champions? Or will The Valiants--once again--put the GCW's favorite underdog team down for the count?
- Buddy Rogers teams with Jimmy Snuka to take on GCW World Heavyweight champion Johnny Valentine and his son, Greg Valentine. These teams last met in the GCW World Tag Team Title tournament and this time promises to be no less explosive than the last. Buddy Rogers will get his rematch for the title next week in Athens and you know he would like to soften Valentine up for that encounter.
- Bobo Brazil and Ted Dibiase have been after one another ever since Bobo embarrassed "The Million Dollar Man" at The Omni in Atlanta, when Bobo put George South on Dibiase and counted the 1-2-3. Dibiase has seemingly been on a war path since that encounter to prove that he cannot be regulated. However, Bobo finally has him in a one-on-one match up and you know Brazil will not waste the opportunity!
- Harley Race was shocked last weekend when Nikolai Volkoff defeated him via count-out in a one-on-one match. This weekend Race teams with the self-proclaimed #1 contender to the GCW World Heavyweight Title, Nick Bockwinkel to face Volkoff and his tag team partner, the GCW National Heavyweight champion The Iron Sheik. Sheik will be merely one week removed from his contest with The Destroyer and no one knows for sure if the battle scars will be removed. If Volkoff scores a pin on either Bockwinkel or Race, his stock as the #1 contender to the GCW World Heavyweight Title--a moniker he clams for himself--will certainly rise.
- Frank Gotch returns to wrestling action for the first time since being put on the shelf by Nick Bockwinkel in Jasper. Doctors have advised Gotch to take a six week break before returning to the squared circle, but he is breaking their orders with an "exhibition" contest against "Cowboy" Dick Hutton.
- Dewey Robertson will be in action and we know that Dewey certainly has one thing on his mind: taking out Killer Kowalski. Kowalski isn't booked for the card in Carrollton, but you know Robertson will be looking to send a message to the big man.
- The Sandman is looking to settle some bad blood with "Playboy" Buddy Rose when the two men square off in a Singapore Cane match! The war between these two men has finally reached a point where GCW Officials could no longer over look and they sanctioned this one as a result! This one is sure to be an all out brawl and, folks, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near it!
- Also, Ilio Dipaolo will face off against Ted Dibiase's "Insurance Policy" King Kong Bundy. Is there anyway that Dipaolo can lift "The Walking Condominium" for the big AIRPLANE SPIN? Or will Bundy make Dipaolo a victim of the AVALANCHE?
It's going to be an all out war in Carrollton and you do not want to miss this one, folks!!!
