The show opens with the tune, "Poison" by Alice Cooper playing overhead. VELVET SKY struts down the ring ramp, waving at the cheering fans.

Velvet: Heartland- WHAT IS UP!?!?!? I am FIRED UP to be here! So many cool things are happening all around Milwaukee. The Brewers are in the playoffs… and DAMIAN F'N LILLARD is coming to the Bucks! But more importantly, the Killer Queens of Heartland Ladies' Wrestling are here to rock this party and rock it hard. Unless you live under a rock, I am sure you know that the Filsinger Cup Tournaments are underway! And tonight, the first match of the Ladies' Bracket will go down when SUMIE SAKAI hits the mats against SHERRI MARTEL. And- the Main Event tonight is going to be a banger! HOLIDEAD and LUFISTO are going to get it on once against in a Number One Contender's Match for the Heartland Ladies' Championship- and this time, there will be NO DISQUALIFICATION! It's gonna be off the charts from start to finish, people- so let's take care of business!

Velvet: That was a grueling match- and a HUGE win for the Kimber Bombs as they try to get back into title contention. Tough loss for Malia and Jazz- but they have already punched their ticket to the Filsinger Cup Ladies' Tag Team Tournament at the 2023 Tournament of Champions. And now- we will see the first match in the Ladies' Singles Tournament!


FILSINGER CUP TOURNAMENT MATCH:
SUMIE SAKAI pinned SHERRI MARTEL*** with the Smash Mouth

Velvet: That's a shocker! Sherri is a previous Filsinger Cup winner- but she is OUT! And Sumie has qualified for the Final Four in the Ladies' Tournament on October 22 in Denver. And finally- our Main Event- a rematch for the Number One Contender's position for the Heartland Ladies' Championship. HOLIDEAD and LUFISTO had an unbelievable battle in Cincinnati that went to a Double Count-Out. So tonight- it is No Disqualification!


MAIN EVENT: HEARTLAND LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP- #1 CONTENDER'S MATCH (NO DISQUALIFICATION)
LUFISTO pinned HOLIDEAD***** with the Burning Hammer

Lufisto and Holidead kept it clean for the most part, but it was still an action-packed and hard-hitting faceoff. Things got crazy when the ref was knocked down. Fists continue to fly, and it was Lufisto who got the better of the brawl and dumped Holidead with a Burning Hammer on the arena floor. Holidead was knocked loopy, and Lufisto brought her back to the ring and dumped her with a second Burning Hammer for the pin.


Velvet: Lufisto gets the win! These two have some serious heat between them- but tonight belongs to Lufisto and she has earned her shout at the Heartland Ladies' Championship. What a battle to end a fantastic night! Kudos to Lufisto for the win- and props to SUMIE SAKAI for a huge win in the Filsinger Cup Tournament! Thanks to on_the_edge and barfly2021 for the strong words! neilybob- as I have stated before- I try to get a show up on YouTube every Saturday to the extent that my schedule permits. It was a little later in the day this week. I am glad you enjoy the shows, but you need to understand that there will be some weeks that I run late, or I have to wait until Sunday, and even some weekends that I am not able to broadcast at all.

EpicDave: Hey, fans! Welcome to Heartland Championship Wrestling! October is upon us- and the Filsinger Cup Tournaments are in full swing! We are here tonight on South Beach in the gorgeous city of Miami with a full night of action, brought to you by the Atlantic Wrestling Federation. We have some exciting debuts in store tonight, along with four outstanding tournament matches. The Main Event is going to be the renewal of an old rivalry in the Filsinger tournament as BOB BACKLUND takes on BUDDY ROGERS. And tonight's feature matches will be streamed live on the Epic Sports Broadcasting Network. It's crunch time, folks- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!

BIG JOHN STUDD** (with BOBBY 'THE BRAIN' HEENAN) defeated FRANK GOTCH by disqualification after outside interference

Another unexpected surprise for the Heenan Family! Gotch was giving Studd a workout in the ring before Studd finally pitched Gotch out to the arena floor. Studd came out to escalate the fight, but Studd was attacked out of nowhere by STAN HANSEN! Hansen assaulted Studd with his cowbell, and Studd was busted open. Unfortunately, Gotch was disqualified as a result of the interference, but the damage was done and Studd required assistance from the Heartland Trainers to be removed from ringside.

EpicDave: STAN HANSEN is back! Hansen has been on the shelf with a leg injury after his last encounter with Big John Studd- but he is back with a vengeance and the battle rages on. All right, fans- it's time for tonight's Filsinger Cup matches- which will be presented live on the Epic Sports Broadcasting Network!

EpicDave: A big win for the ROAD WARRIORS! Would you believe, Hawk and Animal have NEVER won the Filsinger Cup? Perhaps 2023 will be the year that PAUL ELLERING leads the Warriors to glory! And now- fans- it's time for the Main Event. It's only the round of sixteen in the Filsinger Cup, but tonight we get to see two of the all-time greats- and HUGE rivals- square off in another chapter of their storied history.


FILSINGER CUP SINGLES TOURNAMENT: SECOND ROUND
BOB BACKLUND defeated BUDDY ROGERS******* by submission with the Crossface Chicken Wing

It was a dominant performance by Backlund in the Main Event! Both men are skilled grapplers, but Backlund had the power advantage and worked it in his favor. Rogers got no respite on the arena floor, where Backlund managed to suplex Rogers onto the concrete! Rogers took the full impact with his back and grimaced in pain, enabling Backlund to drag Rogers back into the ring and lock in the Crossface Chicken Wing! Rogers wasted no time in tapping out as the fans cheered for the victor!


EpicDave: Backlund was at the top of his game tonight, without a doubt. I suppose Rogers had a business decision to make there- he IS the reigning Patriot Heavyweight Champion- and he intends to continue defending that title to the best of his ability. But Backlund TOOK that match from him tonight, and Backlund deserves all the credit for a remarkable victory. Congratulations to all of tonight's winners in our Filsinger Cup Tournaments! Funk and Valentine locked horns in an absolute banger! Both Jimmy Hart and JJ Dillon made their presence felt, but as the match wore on, it was the superior power of Valentine that prevailed. Funk pulled out everything in his arsenal, including a nasty Piledriver on the ring steps. But Valentine kept his cool and punished Funk with chops and suplexes, finally earning the win after nearly caving in the chest of Funk with a brutal flurry of chops.

MAIN EVENT: FILSINGER CUP TOURNAMENT- QUARTERFINALS
CHEERLEADER MELISSA* pinned SAVANNAH EVANS***** with the Kudoh Driver

It was power vs. power in the Main Event, but the experience of Melissa prevailed. Savannah did plenty of damage, but was unable to get Melissa down. Melissa picked her spots, wearing down her powerhouse opponent with a couple of nasty Samoan Drops to set up the Kudoh Driver for the win.


Velvet: So Melissa moves on to the semifinals of the Filsinger Cup Ladies' Championship! She has punched her ticket to the 2023 Tournament of Champions pay-per-view, which is going down in Denver in just two weeks! Melissa will face KELLY KLEIN in one semifinal, and the other final will be NICOLE MATTHEWS taking on SUMIE SAKAI. It's anyone's trophy to win! the Road Warriors beat the Midnight Express one step closer to the Filsinger Cup...they never held it for me either, usually they get DQ'd second or third round and counted out twice in back-to-back years in first round.
a win over the Atlantic Tag champs could get them future shots...right? Express v Road Warriors is an 80's classic or so I think when I think about NWA in the eighties.
