The show opens with the tune, "Poison" by Alice Cooper playing overhead. VELVET SKY bursts through the curtain and sashays down to ringside, greeting the cheering fans. Velvet wears a gold sweatshirt and a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball cap, drawing even more applause as she hits the ring.

Velvet: Heartland- WHAT IS UP?!?!? I am PUMPED to be here! It's spring, and baseball season is here- so let's root, root, root for the home team and enjoy some Heartland Ladies' Wrestling! We've got a new Number One Contender for the Heartland Ladies' Championship, so tonight it will be KILLER KELLY taking her shot at KELLY KLEIN for the championship in tonight's Main Event. And the Epic Sports Broadcasting Network will be here for tonight's feature matches- so let's take care of business!

Velvet: All right! We are off to a great start here tonight, gang. A brand new wrestler and a brand new tag team getting wins- and a big upset win for that little scamp PORTIA PEREZ. Now, fans- we take you to the Epic Sports Broadcasting Network for tonight's feature matches!

TRISH ADORA pinned ALLISON DANGER**** with an Olympic Slam

Velvet: Trish Adora is just about unstoppable- and now she is in line for a Number One Contender's Match. But if she wants a title shot, she's gonna have to go through HOLIDEAD. That match is gonna be a banger! Next up- a HUGE tag team battle with title implications.


THE HEX (ALLYSIN KAY & MARTI BELLE) battled CHEERLEADER MELISSA & MSCHIF**** to a double-disqualification

Manager KARLEE PEREZ had her team ready for this important match. The Hex showed great teamwork throughout the contest, keeping control of the pace of the match against their hard-hitting opponents. The Hex wore down MsChif with a series of double-teams, forcing Melissa to hit the ring to protect her partner. All four women took to brawling, and the battle raged out of control to cause the referee to throw the match out.

Despite the DQ, all four ladies continued to brawl. Karlee Perez raised her enchanted stone, and SAGE HALE emerged from under the ring. Sage grabbed the ring microphone and cracked Melissa on the back of the head! Melissa went down, and Sage joined Marti in putting a beating on the fallen Melissa. Allysin pitched MsChif out of the ring, and Karlee tossed a chair into the ring. Marti Belle slid the chair around the arm of Melissa, and Sage stomped repeatedly on the chair. Melissa screamed helplessly as Sage stomped on the chair! The assault continued until wrestlers poured out of the backstage area to chase away the attackers, but the damage had been done.

Velvet: Oh my gawd! That was horrible! What in the hell just happened? Melissa! Ohmigawd her arm looks like it went through a meat grinder. I have never seen her in so much pain. What is the problem with Sage? Karlee Perez has some kind of mind control thing going on with that weird stone… that is SO bizarre! I don't really know Sage, but she never seemed like the type of girl who would be capable of something like THAT. This is really disturbing. I hope Melissa is okay. And that wasn't even supposed to be a Grudge Match. NOW it's time for tonight's Grudge Match which came out of a Tag Team match from a couple of weeks ago.


GRUDGE MATCH- NO DISQUALIFICATION:
DEBBIE COMBS defeated LUNA VACHON** by submission with the Inverted Surfboard

Following their previous brawl, Luna and Debbie were anxious to settle their issues. Luna tried to intimidate Debbie, but Debbie stood her ground. Debbie wrestled a smart match, taking Luna to the canvas and keeping her there. After a few minutes of frustration for Luna, it was Debbie who locked in the Inverted Surfboard to force the submission.

After the match, Debbie was attacked in the ring by JOANIE LAURER & IVELISSE! Luna quickly joined in, and Debbie found herself on the receiving end of a beating until JESSICKA HAVOK & ROSEMARY dashed to ringside to chase away the assailants.

Velvet: Joanie and Ivelisse? Why are they out here? This doesn't concern them! I guess Joanie is just a bully who couldn't resist the chance to be a bully. And now the fans are screaming for a six-woman tag match- so we're gonna book it! Our next HYPE show is April 27 in Cleveland- and our first match is booked! JOANIE, IVELISSE, & LUNA vs. HAVOK, ROSEMARY & DEBBIE COMBS! That will be insane. And now- it's time for the Main Event!


MAIN EVENT: HEARTLAND LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP
KELLY KLEIN (c) defeated KILLER KELLY** by submission with The End of the Match

It was business as usual for the champ, as she overpowered the Killer. It took less than 10 minutes for Klein to trap Killer Kelly in the End Of The Match for the tapout.

KELLY KLEIN RETAINS THE HEARTLAND LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP

Velvet: How impressive was that? KELLY KLEIN has all the momentum right now. She put away NICOLE MATTHEWS last month, and today she just obliterated the new number one contender. She is dominating Heartland Ladies Wrestling! That's it for tonight, Heartland- thanks for another awesome night of wrestling here in Pittsburgh! Heartland will be headed to Mississippi on Wednesday night for a big night of action from the Atlantic Wrestling Federation. LOU THESZ will be there to defend the Dixie Heavyweight Championship- but I don't think they know who his opponent will be. But isn't that part of the fun? Come check it out!

EpicDave: Hey, fans! Welcome to tonight's exciting presentation of Heartland Championship Wrestling! We are proud to present all the action from the Atlantic Wrestling Federation as they continue their 2024 tour of the Southeastern Conference. Tonight brings us to the University of Mississippi in the beautiful town of Oxford, lovingly referred to as Ole Miss. We would like to thank the fine folks here in the Magnolia State for their amazing hospitality. Who doesn't love a good Mississippi Mud Pie? But tonight, we're here for wrestling- and we need a number one contender for the Atlantic Heavyweight Championship! Interestingly- there are two men who have qualified- and both are members of the HEENAN FAMILY! So tonight, here in Oxford, it will be BIG JOHN STUDD vs. CURT HENNIG for the Number One Contender's spot!

A commotion erupts as BOBBY HEENAN storms onto the set.

Heenan: Listen up, EpicDave. I don't know what you are trying to pull here- but Big John Studd is NOT going to wrestle Curt Hennig.

EpicDave: We need a number one contender, Brain.

Heenan: Problem solved. We already discussed this within the Family. Big John Studd is going to wrestle LOU THESZ for the Dixie Heavyweight Championship, and Curt Hennig will be the number one contender for the Atlantic Heavyweight Championship.

EpicDave: You can't do that. You don't have the power to make matches, and you don't have the power to name the Number One Contender.

Heenan: I just did. The Heenan Family has the top two guys in the rankings, and I am entitled to sign their matches.

EpicDave: I can see what you are trying to pull here, Brain, and I give you credit for being shrewd. But we are going to need a ruling on that from the AWF Commissioner.

The crowd cheers as GORDON SOLIE makes his way to the podium.

Solie: Good evening to you all, and thank you to the great fans of AWF Wrestling for being here tonight. Now, Mr. Heenan, there is no question that your Family has accomplished a tremendous task by gaining the top two spots in the rankings. By rule, those two men are scheduled to face each other to earn a title shot.

Heenan: That's completely unnecessary, beanhead. My guys are NOT going to fight each other.

Solie: Then someone will have to surrender their spot.

Heenan: Baloney! Didn't you hear my proposal to EpicDave? Big John Studd will wrestle for the Dixie Heavyweight Championship, and Curt Hennig will be the number one contender for the AWF Championship. The Heenan Family is going to hold all the gold!

Solie opens his notebook.

Solie: Let me get this straight. Big John Studd wants to wrestle for the Dixie Heavyweight Championship?

Heenan: What's the matter? You got beans in your ears? And Curt Hennig will be the number one contender for the AWF Championship.

Solie pulls out a pen and draws a line in his notebook.

Solie: Not so fast. You have withdrawn Studd from the Number One Contender's Match. We'll need to find a suitable replacement.

Heenan: Replacement? What are you talking about? My guys are the top two!

Solie: Not any more. You have withdrawn Studd from contention.

Heenan: WHAT?!? Put him back in contention!

Solie: I can't do that. He has been withdrawn.

Heenan: Well I want to un-withdraw him.

Solie: You can't do that. I already drew a line through his name.

Heenan: Then why can't Curt Hennig be the number one contender?

Solie: Because he hasn't won a Number One Contender's Match. Goodness… it looks like there is a tie for third in the rankings. So that means the Number One Contenders' Match will have to be a Triple Threat Match. CURT HENNIG vs. ANTONIO INOKI vs. PAUL ORNDORFF. EpicDave, please book that match.

Solie scribbles in his notebook.

Heenan: You can't do THAT! EpicDave- can't you talk some sense into this knucklehead?

EpicDave: I don't think so. He already wrote it is his notebook.

Heenan grabs the pen from Solie and snaps it in half. Heenan tries to swipe the notebook, but Solie pulls away. Heenan snarls and storms away from the podium.

EpicDave: And there you have it, fans! Tonight, here in Oxford Mississippi, it will be LOU THESZ vs. BIG JOHN STUDD for the Southland Heavyweight Championship. And later this month in Lexington, It will be Hennig vs. Inoki vs. Orndorff for the Number One Contender's spot! It's gonna be a ton of fun here at Ole Miss tonight, fans- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!


LES THATCHER* defeated PAT PATTERSON* by disqualification after outside interference

It was a competitive opening matchup which was marred by controversy when JACQUES ROUGEAU came to ringside in support of Patterson. Patterson pitched Thatcher out of the ring, and Jacques delivered a cheap shot, but the referee was on top of the action and called for the disqualification.

After the DQ, Thatcher rolled back into the ring. Patterson and Rougeau attempted to double-team Thatcher, but Thatcher responded with a flurry of dropkicks which sent both attackers tumbling out of the ring as the fans cheered on his bravado.


THE KINGDOM (MATT TAVEN & MIKE BENNETT) defeated MIKE ROTUNDA & DAN SPIVEY when Bennett rolled up Rotunda after a distraction by Roderick Strong


CHRIS JERICHO*** defeated KEVIN VON ERICH** by submission with the Walls of Jericho


BLACKJACK MULLIGAN*** pinned NICK ALDIS**** after a knee to the gut


GEORGE TRAGOS** defeated ADRIAN ADONIS** by submission with the stepover toehold facelock


BOB ROOP & COWBOY BOB ORTON** defeated KERRY & DAVID**** VON ERICH when Roop pinned Kerry after a Shoulder Breakers


MAIN EVENT: DIXIE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
BIG JOHN STUDD*** defeated LOU THESZ** (c) by submission with the Backbreaker

Studd and Heenan came to the ring with a chip on their collective shoulders after the earlier news from Gordon Solie. Studd took out his frustrations on Thesz, clobbering the champion with forearms and headbutts. Thesz was able to counter and force Studd into a submission predicament, but Heenan jumped onto the ring apron to create a distraction. Thesz responded by drilling Heenan with a running high knee, sending Heenan off the ring apron and down to the arena floor!

EpicDave: Wow! Heenan got NAILED with that knee smash- he's out like a light!

Studd was enraged at Thesz and came full force with another barrage of punches and forearms. Studd beat down Thesz until Thesz slumped to the corner. Thesz tried to roll to the floor, but Studd caught Thesz and hoisted Thesz into a painful over-the-shoulder backbreaker. Thesz was too weakened to counter, and forced to give it up.

BIG JOHN STUDD CATPURES THE DIXIE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

EpicDave: Holy Mississippi! What an upset we have just witnessed! BIG JOHN STUDD has taken down one of the legends of the sport of wrestling! Congratulations to Studd for winning the Dixie Heavyweight Championship. BOBBY HEENAN got knocked onto his keister- but that didn't stop Studd from imposing his will on Thesz and simply overpowering him to win the championship. It was looking like a bad night for the Heenan Family until Studd came up with that victory in the Main Event. To be honest, I didn't see that coming. All right, fans- we're done here. Thanks for checking us out tonight! Heartland will be back this Saturday night with a magnificent show from Pro Wrestling Mid-America. The boys are going to be crushing each other in Kansas City this weekend, and the Epic Sports Broadcasting Network will be on hand will all the feature matches. JACKIE FARGO** (w/JIMMY HART) pinned SHAWN MICHAELS**** with an Atomic Drop

JIMMY HART made the difference in this match, distracting the referee while Fargo blasted Michaels with the megaphone to set up the finish. NIKITA KOLOFF sprinted to ringside to try and intervene, but Nikita was unable to draw the attention of the referee as the three count was delivered.

After the decision, Michaels berated Nikita for failing to have his back in the defeat.

RANDY 'MACHO MAN' SAVAGE pinned 'DIAMOND' DALLAS PAGE**** after a Neckbreaker Clothesline

EpicDave: The Macho Man wins again! Everybody loves Diamond Dallas Page- but the fans here in KC have a special attachment to Randy Savage and they are excited to see him triumph. Fans- BRET HART faced some criticism from fellow members of the JUSTICE 4 ALL alliance after he failed to back up SHAWN MICHAELS last month in New Orleans. Tonight, Hart has agreed to step up and take a No Disqualification Grudge Match against a member of WHATEVER WE WANT.


GRUDGE MATCH- NO DISQUALIFICATION:
BRET HART**** pinned STAN HANSEN**** after a Bulldog

Hart wrestled a smart match against Hansen, keeping the match in the ring and on the mat. NIKITA KOLOFF seconded Hart, countering the presence of OLE ANDERSON. Hart survived Hansen's brawling tactic and scored a clean pinfall victory after a pair of Bulldogs.

As the J4A members returned backstage in triumph, Nikita was again accosted by Shawn Michaels. Michaels was frustrated by his earlier loss and the lack of back-up. Hart rolled his eyes and walked away.

EpicDave: Seems that all is not well in the land of JUSTICE 4 ALL. Egos are in play, and that is always dangerous. But now, fans- it is time for the Main Event of the evening. The winner of our next match will become the #1 Contenders to the NWA World Tag Team Championship!


MAIN EVENT: NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH
THE BRITISH BULLDOGS (DAVEY BOY SMITH & DYNAMITE KID*) defeated THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS (ROAD DOGG & BILLY GUNN****) when Davey Boy pinned Billy with the Tower of London

The fans were mixed in their sentiments for this match. The action was competitive, but turned in favor of the Bulldogs when Billy Gunn was trapped in enemy territory and roughed up. Dynamite hit a soaring Diving Headbutt on Billy, which left Billy clearly stunned. Road Dogg hit the ring to save his partner, but Davey Boys waylaid Road Dogg with a running Lariat. That left Billy isolated, and the Bulldogs hoisted him up for the Tower of London for the pin.


EpicDave: Congratulations to the BRITISH BULLDOGS! They have captured the Number One Contenders' slot for the NWA World Tag Team Championship. Can they be the team to finally dethrone JACK & JERRY BRISCO to capture the World titles? We'll find out on April 27 at our next Heartland YouTube Production Event- so be sure to tune in! Of course, we had to rent helicopters while they fix the darn bridge, but the sturdy fellows from Patriot Championship Wrestling have braved the adversity to bring you an exciting night of action. The North American Heavyweight Championship is on the line tonight in our Main Event, and it should be a barnburner when JOHNNY VALENTINE defends against BOB BACKLUND. You never know what other surprises may come along, fans- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!

THE ROCK 'N ROLL EXPRESS (RICKY MORTON & ROBERT GIBSON) defeated JOHN NORD* & BORIS ZHUKOV when Gibson pinned Nord after a Double Dropkick


After the tag match, the fans were treated to a special performance by the collective talents of "BAGPIPES, BODYSLAMS, & BEATBOXING". PERCY PRINGLE III laid the beat down, with RODDY PIPER on the bagpipes and MARK HENRY on the accordion. VADER belted out the tune, "Don't Eat The Yellow Snow" in honor of local music legend FRANK ZAPPA.

EpicDave: That was a heck of a comeback by Graham. The distraction from the Grand Wizard helped, but Superstar did the rest. That will put Graham on a collision course with SGT. SLAUGHTER for a Number One Contender's Match for the PCW Title!


MAIN EVENT: NORTH AMERICAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
JOHNNY VALENTINE* pinned BOB BACKLUND***** with the Atomic Skullcrusher

Valentine had all the answers in this title defense, keeping the pressure on his talented challenger. Backlund tried to rally, but Valentine took the match out of the ring and bodyslammed Backlund on the arena floor. Valentine took over from there, and pinned Backlund after a pair of Atomic Skullcrushers.

JOHNNY VALENTINE RETAINS THE NORTH AMERICAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
