EpicDave: Hey, fans! Welcome to Heartland Championship Wrestling! We are so proud to bring you tonight's action from the Atlantic Wrestling Federation as the tour of the Southeastern Conference continues. Tonight brings us to beautiful Lexington, Kentucky, and Rupp Arena, the home of MARK POPE and Wildcat Basketball. Hopefully, our good friend KEVIN BUTCHER will enjoy the show as wrestling's Ultimate Wildcat Fan. Welcome one and all! We have a lot of great action lined up for tonight, including a Double Main Event. The popular BOBO BRAZIL is on the cusp of a world title match, but he will have to go through TERRY FUNK to get there in tonight's NWA #1 Contender's Match. And the Atlantic Tag Team Championship will be on the line here in Lexington with THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS set to defend against EDDIE & CHAVO GUERRERO, JR. And of course, it's Saturday- and you know what that means- the Epic Sports Broadcasting Network will be here to livestream tonight's feature match-ups. FRANK GOTCH pinned TERRY GORDY* with a Moonsault


GRUDGE MATCH- NO DISQUALIFICATION:
RODERICK STRONG** pinned MIKE ROTUNDA** with the End of Heartache

These two were at each other's throats earlier this month, after a distraction from Roderick cost Rotunda and DANNY SPIVEY a defeat in tag team action against THE KINGDOM. But tonight, Rotunda and Strong were determined to prove their superiority on the mats. The battle went on for nearly 15 minutes, with a notable absence of shenanigans, before Strong picked up the victory with a nasty End of Heartache.


NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH
BOBO BRAZIL** defeated TERRY FUNK*** by disqualification when Funk hit Bobo with the Megaphone

In this high-stakes situation, Funk wanted to go it alone. But when Bobo overpowered Funk and stunned him with a pair of Coco Butts, Funk called for JIMMY HART. Hart arrived with megaphone in hand, but when Funk drilled Bobo with the megaphone, the referee was wise to the tactic and called for the DQ.

After the decision, Funk continued his assault on Bobo, Whacking Bobo with a steel chair. Bobo was wincing, but managed to fight off Funk until referees sent Funk and Hart back to the dressing room.

EpicDave: Probably not the outcome that Terry Funk was hoping for tonight. But once Bobo got the best of him, Funk got desperate- but it still didn't end well. Congratulations to BOBO BRAZIL- he moves on to a world title shot against RIC FLAIR! And now- it's time for the Main Event.


MAIN EVENT: ATLANTIC TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS ('BEAUTIFUL' BOBBY EATON & 'SWEET' STAN LANE**** w/JAMES E. CORNETTE) defeated EDDIE** & CHAVO GUERRERO JR.**** when Eaton pinned Eddie with the Alabama Jam

The Guerreros put up a spirited battle against the champs, but the teamwork of the Midnights was just too much. The Guerreros had Lane in trouble, but Lane managed a blind tag to Eaton, who hit the ring and cleaned house. Lane recovered enough to take out Chavo, opening the door for Eaton to put away Eddie for the win.

THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS RETAINS THE ATLANTIC TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

EpicDave: The Midnight Express just continue to roll. Even when it looks like they are struggling, Eaton and Lane find a way to snatch another victory. Congratulations to the champs for a successful title defense here in Lexington! All right, fans- we're done here. Thanks for checking us out tonight! Value City Arena, Columbus, Ohio

The show opens with the tune, "Poison" by Alice Cooper playing overhead. VELVET SKY enters through the curtain and greets the cheering fans. Velvet is hunched over, wearing triple-thick glasses and hobbling along with a cane as she makes her way to ringside. Velvet gingerly climbs the ring steps and slowly climbs between the ropes with the assistance of two ringside attendants. Velvet hobbles to the center of the ring, then tosses the cane aside, pulls off her glasses and waves to the crowd.

Velvet: Heartland- WHAT IS UP!?!?!!! I am STOKED to be here! And I just wanted to say "Happy Birthday" to the beloved old fogey in charge of this place, EPICDAVE, who is turning 60 this week!

The fans cheer for the announcement.

Velvet: And let's just say… this weekend, we will have a special birthday surprise for the best boss I ever had. But tonight, we are here in Columbus, the birthplace of EpicDave himself, with the kickass chicks of Heartland Ladies' Wrestling for an AWESOME show! You won't believe tonight's Main Event- it's gonna be a total slugfest when JORDYNNE GRACE takes on JESSICKA HAVOK for the Mistress of Mayhem Championship! I love both those gals- but they are gonna knock each other silly tonight. Let's take care of business!


As the ring was being prepared for the opening match, the scene shifted to the training room in the basement of the arena. A group of trainees were working out, when MSCHIF burst into the room.

MsChif: I need a partner. Who's brave enough to team with me?

Most of the girls look at the floor. SANDRA MOONE looks up hesitantly.

MsChif: You? What's so special about you?

HEIDI HOWITZER summons her courage and stands up.

MsChif: I don't think either of you two look like much. Let's see what you are made of.

MsChif grabs both Heidi and Sandra by the ears and hauls them out of the training room. Moments later, MsChif bursts through the curtain with the rookies in tow.

MsChif (shrieking): BRING ME A REFEREE!

A junior referee sprints to the ring, trying to hide the terror in his eyes.

MsChif: The winner of this match will be my Tag Team partner.


HEIDI HOWITZER pinned SANDRA MOONE with a jumping stunner

It was a pretty competitive match, but Heidi wore down Sandra with her power advantage and scored the pin.

After the pin, MsChif entered the ring, screamed, and dropped Sandra with a Desecrater. MsChif grabbed Heidi by the arm and hauled her away from ringside.


Velvet: Ohmigawd! Poor Heidi- the won the match… but she looks scared to death. MsChif is on the war path for revenge against THE HEX, and it looks like Heidi will be getting her baptism by fire.


TASHA STEELZ* & BIG SWOLE defeated BILLIE STARKZ**** & JANAI KAI when Tasha pinned Billie with the Okurrr


MASHA SLAMOVICH pinned VERT VIXEN** with the White Night Driver


VIVIAN & LUNA**** VACHON defeated LAYNIE LUCK*** & HYAN** when Vivian pinned Laynie after a Double-Team Face-First Suplex


IVELISSE* defeated DEONNA PURRAZZO* by disqualification due to outside interference

Deonna came to the ring intent on winning, but Ivelisse was accompanied by JOANIE LAURER who provided plenty of distraction. When Joanie began threatening Deonna, ROSEMARY dashed to ringside and plunked Ivelisse and Joanie with a Double Noggin-Knocker! The fans went crazy, but the referee was forced to call for the disqualification and awarded the victory to Ivelisse.

Velvet: Well that's a bummer for Deonna to take the "L"- but nobody is shedding any tears for Ivelisse and Joanie. In fact, they have a HUGE confrontation coming up in a 6-woman tag match on April 27!


HEARTLAND LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH
HOLIDEAD pinned TRISH ADORA**** after a Leg Drop on the Ring Apron

Velvet: So, a big win for the diabolical Holidead to earn herself a title shot. Speaking of title shots- what ARE we going to do about the Heartland Ladies' Tag Team Championship? That match last month in Pittsburgh between THE HEX and CHEERLEADER MELISSA & MSCHIF was supposed to be a qualifying match- but there was no winner. Now, Melissa is hurt, and there is NO WAY that we are letting the Hex get a title match like THAT. So- that only leaves us with one qualifier. So, the new challengers for the Tag Team titles will be CORA & DEBBIE COMBS!

The fans cheer, but a commotion arises and KARLEE PEREZ storms to the ring, followed by SAGE HALE. Karlee tells Sage to stay back, but Sage remains close at Karlee's heels.

Karlee: My girls deserve a title match!

Velvet: Oh, HELL no! After what you did to Melissa- you and your girls don't get to go to the head of the line.

Karlee: I didn't want to do this… BUT-

Karlee reaches into her shoulder bag and pulls out her Mystic Stone. Sage immediately drops to her knees. But before Karlee can continue, MSCHIF & HEIDI HOWITZER dash to the scene. Karlee scurries away, but Heidi catches Sage and throws her to the floor. ALLYSIN KAY & MARTI BELLE sprint down the aisle to grab Sage and hustle her away to safety.

Velvet: What the…? I don't know what almost happened there… but I am glad that MsChif and Heidi were here. MsChif is on the warpath- and I don't blame her. But now, fans- it's time for the Main Event!


MAIN EVENT: MISTRESS OF MAYHEM CHAMPIONSHIP
JORDYNNE GRACE*** (c) pinned JESSICKA HAVOK** with the Pounce

As expected, Jordynne and Jessicka pounded the stuffings out of each other! The two amazons battled to the point of near exhaustion, but it was Jordynne who dug deep and exploded off the ropes with the Pounce to gain the victory.

After the match, Jessicka and Jordynne hugged and Jessicka left the ring in disappointment.

JORDYNNE GRACE RETAINS THE MISTRESS OF MAYHEM CHAMPIONSHIP

Velvet: Schnikees! That match was totally intense! I think both Jessicka and Jordynne had the time of their lives in that battle, and tonight, Jordynne was the better woman. Congratulations to JORDYNNE GRACE for retaining the championship! That's it for tonight, Heartland- thanks for another awesome night of wrestling here in Columbus! Heartland will be back on the air on Saturday night from Washington, DC. The mighty men of Patriot Championship Wrestling will be heading to DC, where BUDDY ROGERS is scheduled to defend the Patriot Heavyweight Championship in the Main Event against 'RAVISHING' RICK RUDE. EpicDave: Hey, fans! Welcome to Heartland Championship Wrestling! It's always a wacky time when you're in Washington, D.C. You never know if you're going to run into protestors or insurrectionists, and now we even have cannibals to worry about! But never fear, the boys from Patriot Championship Wrestling are here- and tonight is going to be HUGE! BOTH the North American Heavyweight Championship and the Patriot Heavyweight Championship are on the line. The Main Event will, of course, feature BUDDY ROGERS, the Patriot Champion, defending against a very determined challenger in 'RAVISHING' RICK RUDE.

Before EpicDave can finish his introduction, VELVET SKY surprises the crowd and heads to the announcers' table, accompanied by ANGELINA LOVE & MANDY LEON.

Velvet: Heartland- WHAT IS UP!?!?! We can't start this show without a celebration. Fans- just yesterday- our main man EPICDAVE celebrated his 60th birthday!

Ladies: Happy Birthday, EpicDave!

Velvet: And like I promised, we have a special surprise for you!

The crowd groans as the renowned band "BAGPIPES, BODYSLAMS, & BEATBOXING" gathers on the entryway. PERCY PRINGLE III begins his beatboxing, with RODDY PIPER on the bagpipes, MARK HENRY on the accordion, and VADER on lead vocals. The ladies join in on kazoos, and EpicDave is treated to an extra-special rendition of "Happy Birthday".

EpicDave: Wow… that was… unforgettable.

As the band disperses, GARY HART emerges on the entryway, accompanied by THE GREAT MALENKO.

Hart: What is the meaning of this? You guys are a disgrace to the dignity of professional wrestling. You all need to stop the shenanigans and take this business seriously. Not only are you wasting our precious time, but your music is unforgivable putrid. MARK HENRY, you are the worst accordion player that the world has ever known- and that is pretty pathetic.

Henry lunges at Gary Hart, but Great Malenko interposes himself. Percy Pringle restrains Henry and quickly ushers the band back through the curtain.

EpicDave: Did Gary Hart just insult Mark Henry's accordion skills? Of all the low-down, personal attacks, that may be one of the most offensive statements I have ever heard. One does NOT malign another man's accordion playing! Well… I am sure there will be consequences for such a profound insult. But let's not lose ourselves in the moment. Velvet… ladies… thank you for a most… um… memorable birthday surprise! I'm not sure that the wrestling can top that- but the boys a ready to rock. So relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!

THE ROCK 'N ROLL EXPRESS (RICKY MORTON & ROBERT GIBSON) defeated DOOM (BUTCH REED** & RON SIMMONS) when Robert pinned Reed after a Double Dropkick


NORTH AMERICAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP:
VADER (w/PERCY PRINGLE III) pinned JOHNNY VALENTINE**** (w/JAMES J. DILLON) with a Released Power Bomb

JAMES J. DILLON could only watch in horror as his proud North American Champion was dismantled by his powerful challenger. When Dillon finally tried to intervene, Vader whipped Valentine into Dillon, leading to a spectacular collision on the ring apron! Dillon was knocked to the floor and Valentine was left woozy, allowing Vader to hoist Valentine into a Released Power Bomb for the pin.

VADER WINS THE NORTH AMERICAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

EpicDave: That was incredible! Vader was just dominant in that match- against a very formidable opponent. Vader beat him down like he was a music critic or something. Congratulations to the new North American Heavyweight Champion!


MAIN EVENT: PATRIOT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
'RAVISHING' RICK RUDE pinned BUDDY ROGERS****** (c) with the Rude Awakening

The shenanigans in this match began before the opening bell. As Rude took the microphone and began to run down the fans and his opponent, Rogers tried to hit Rude with the championship belt! But Rude was on his toes, avoiding the belt smash and cracking Rogers in the forehead with the microphone. This gave Rude the opening he needed, and he was relentless in his assault on the champion. It took several tries, but after Rude repeatedly hit the Rude Awakening, he was able to claim the victory!

RICK RUDE WINS THE PATRIOT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

EpicDave: How about that? Ladies and gentlemen- a new Patriot Heavyweight Champion has just been crowned! Congratulations to 'RAVISHING' RICK RUDE for winning the title here tonight. Most people thought this would be a routine title defense for Buddy Rogers- but Rogers let Rude get under his skin and Rick Rude has shocked the world here tonight in Washington. What an amazing night! BOTH of the singles titles in PCW have changed hands tonight, and the great fans of the Heartland definitely got their money's worth. All right, fans- we're done here. The Mid-South Coliseum here in Memphis is one of the greatest historic wrestling venues of all time- and tonight the stars of Pro Wrestling Mid-America have gathered to battle it out for the glory of this great sport. The Southland Heavyweight Championship will be up for grabs in tonight's Main Event when TIM STORM defends the belt against TERRY FUNK. The guys are determined to pay homage to this great shrine of wrestling history, fans- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!

The match between Michaels and Muraco started off competitive, until Muraco drilled Michaels with a pair of Asiatic Spikes. Michaels never recovered, and Muraco went on to a decisive victory.

After the match, Michaels stormed backstage and confronted the members of JUSTICE 4 ALL.

Michaels: Where were you guys? Why didn't you have my back?

Jerry Lynn: Have your back? What are you talking about?

Michaels: My match! Didn't you see what Muraco did?

Bret Hart: He beat your ass. It was just a match, dude- not a grudge match. Muraco is not the enemy- and we don't need to make any new enemies.

Lynn: Easy there, Hitman. Shawn- Justice 4 All is not a bunch of thugs. We don't interfere in matches just to get cheap victories.

Michaels: Seriously? I thought this crew was supposed to stick together!

Hart: Did you see anybody interfering in Jerry's match? No- and Jerry took care of his business in the ring tonight. You need to step up and stop being such an entitled little whiny b-

Michaels lunges at Hart, but Lynn steps between them. Michaels tries to break free, but Lynn holds Michaels back as Hart walks away.


MAIN EVENT: SOUTHLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
TERRY FUNK (w/JIMMY HART) defeated TIM STORM** (c) with the Sleeper Hold

With JIMMY HART at ringside, Funk was revved up and ready for another go at the gold. Hart didn't interfere, but Funk took control early with his roughhousing tactics. Before long, Funk had beaten down Storm to the point where Funk was able to clamp on the Sleeper Hold and finish off an impressive win.

TERRY FUNK WINS THE SOUTHLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

EpicDave: Congratulations to TERRY FUNK- your new Southland Heavyweight Champion! Funk did what he does best here tonight- beat people up. And tonight, Funk goes home with the gold! Funk is now a three-time Southland Champion- and the last time he held that title, he rode the momentum all the way to the World Championship! There's no telling what this man is capable of, as we witnessed here tonight. All right, fans- we're done here. Thanks for checking us out tonight! Russell: Thank you, Miss Velvet. It's been a long time coming- but tonight is the night when BARRY WINDHAM climbs into the Steel Cage to defend the Pro Wrestling Mid-America Heavyweight Championship against his bitter rival, KEVIN STEEN.

EpicDave: No doubt about it, fans- tonight's show is LOADED. So relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!



Grudge Match: No Disqualification
MARTI BELLE (w/KARLEE PEREZ) vs. HEIDI HOWITZER (w/MSCHIF)

The opening contest was a strategic battle pitting MSCHIF against KARLEE PEREZ through their respective proteges. Heidi started strong, hitting Marti with a couple of impressive power moves. Marti was in trouble, and Karlee summoned SAGE HALE to ringside. Sage was able to distract Heidi, opening the door for Marti to get control and drop Heidi with the Hell's Bells for the pin.

WINNER: MARTI BELLE

After the match, MSCHIF was visibly frustrated as Heidi rolled out of the ring. MsChif grabbed Heidi by the hair and berated her as they exited up the ring ramp.

Velvet: Oh my gawd… this whole situation is just weird. It all started when CHEERLEADER MELISSA got her arm broken by Karlee's girls. MsChif lost her partner and she needs backup. Poor Heidi is just a rookie- she is doing whatever she can to get her opportunity, but it's sad to see her in the middle of this.

Russell: Yeah, that was hard to watch. Now let's get back to the ring for the first title match of the night!


Pro Wrestling Mid-America Tag Team Championship
TONY GAREA & LARRY ZBYSZKO (c) vs. THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS

The tag match pitted two well-matched teams with high levels of experience. The Outlaws hit both champions with double-team hot shots in the early stages of the match, but frequent tags kept Zbyszko and Garea fresh. The champions finally were able to isolate Billy and wear him down with a variety of submission holds. Road Dogg tried to come to the rescue, but Zbyszko dispatched the Dogg and Garea was able to lock in the Abdominal Stretch on Billy to clinch the victory.

WINNERS: TONY GAREA & LARRY ZBYSZKO

GAREA & ZBYSZKO RETAIN THE PWMA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

EpicDave: That was old school tag team wrestling at its finest. Garea and Zbyszko were made to be together- they are the perfect collaboration.

Russell: They have only lost one match since their debut- and that was their shot at the World Championship. Coming up now- another match from Pro Wrestling Mid-America. This one dates all the way back to the 2024 Buckeye Bowl, where SHAWN MICHAELS accidentally clobbered JACKIE FARGO with a megaphone and knocked Fargo out of the Buckeye Bowl. Fargo and his pals from WHATEVER WE WANT have been trying to take out Michaels ever since. But Michaels got help from an unlikely source, when NIKITA KOLOFF and his mates from JUSTICE 4 ALL came to the rescue. But after months of feuding, the two principals in this feud are going to be across the ring from one another.


Grudge Match: No Disqualification
SHAWN MICHAELS vs. JACKIE FARGO

Michaels was accompanied by NIKITA KOLOFF, the leader of the PWMA branch of J4A. Fargo came to the ring with STAN HANSEN, and tension was in the air as the seconds had a ringside staredown. Once the match began, the action was everywhere, inside the ring and out. Fargo came after Michaels on the arena floor with a cowbell, but Michaels scampered back into the safety of the ring. As Fargo returned to the ring, Michaels drilled Fargo with Sweet Chin Music. Hansen tried to save Fargo, but Nikita pulled Hansen off the ring apron and Michaels covered Fargo for the pin.

WINNER: SHAWN MICHAELS

As Michaels celebrated with Nikita, tended to Fargo in the ring and the tension rose. The fans gasped as SCOTT HALL & MENG appeared at ringside and slid into the ring. Hansen quickly pulled Fargo to his feet, ready to battle. Michaels called for calm, and approached Hall for a discussion. Hall and Michaels began to argue, and Michaels shoved Hall. Hall smirked and waggled his fingers at Michaels, tauntingly.

Russell: What in the Sam Hill is going on here?

As Michaels and Hall continued to argue, without warning, Michaels turned and drilled Nikita with a superkick! Nikita was caught off guard, and was knocked to the ground. Immediately, Michaels joined Hall and Meng in putting the boots to Nikita! Hall motioned Fargo and Hansen to leave the ring, and Fargo and Hansen immediately departed. Nikita tried to get to his feet, but wound up on the receiving end of a three-on-one beatdown until JERRY LYNN & BRET HART dashed to the ring and sent the attackers scattering.

Russell: What a disgusting move by SHAWN MICHAELS. The guys from JUSTICE 4 ALL practically saved Michaels' life- and now he turns his back on them and aligns himself with these thugs. I am disgusted.

EpicDave: No doubt about it. Michaels showed his true colors here tonight by backstabbing Nikita. But fans- things are about to go from bad to worse with this next grudge match.

Velvet: Believe that. JOANIE LAURER has been bullying everybody in Heartland Ladies' Wrestling- and now she's got some teed-off ladies ready to throw down!


Grudge Match: No Disqualification
DEBBIE COMBS, JESSICKA HAVOK & ROSEMARY vs. LUNA VACHON, IVELISSE, & JOANIE LAURER

Tensions were high as the rival ladies squared off. Jessicka and her crew tagged in and out against Ivelisse, but when Joanie hit the ring, Jessicka tagged herself in and the two amazons went nose to nose. As in previous encounters, Joanie got the best of Jessicka, and planted Jessicka with a pair of powerbombs that left Jessicka down in the center of the ring. With a smirk, Joanie climbed to the top turnbuckle, preparing to launch an elbow drop.

Velvet: Oh, no! This isn't going to end well for Jessicka!

Before Joanie could launch, Debbie Combs came from behind and pushed Joanie off the top rope! Joanie crashed hard, and was slow to get to her feet. This gave Rosemary time to hit the ring- and Rosemary blasted Joanie with a face-full of blue mist! Ivelisse stormed into the ring, and Rosemary also misted Ivelisse! Rosemary then helped Debbie to hoist Joanie up for an Airplane Spin, and Debbie made the cover for the three count.

WINNERS: DEBBIE COMBS, JESSICKA HAVOK & ROSEMARY

Velvet: Holy schnikes! Debbie Combs just pinned Joanie! Do you believe it?

EpicDave: That was incredible teamwork by Debbie and her partners- and a shocking victory! The crowd is going nuts for Debbie and Rosemary and Joanie. I think the world loves to see the bullies get their comeuppance.

Russell: Speaking of comeuppance- we have another bully who's about to face off with a hated enemy. In a steel cage. With the Pro Wrestling Mid-America Heavyweight Championship on the line.


Pro Wrestling Mid-America Heavyweight Championship
Steel Cage Showdown!
BARRY WINDHAM (c) vs. KEVIN STEEN

There was no comeuppance to be had for Windham on this day. The big Texan dominated the match from the outset, using his superior size and athletic ability to wail on Steen. Windham knocked Steen loopy with a boot to the face, then annihilated his challenger with a pair of massive Lariats that left Steen helpless. In a show of pure savagery, Windham dragged Steen over to the wall of the cage, and ground Steen's face into the steel until Steen was bloodied beyond recognition. Windham eventually grew bored of the brutality, and put one knee onto Steen's chest while the referee counted three.

WINNER: BARRY WINDHAM

BARRY WINDHAM RETAINS THE PWMA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Russell: Barry Windham just made a powerful statement about his championship and about the faction he represents. Windham truly did Whatever He Wanted in his title defense here tonight.

EpicDave: And he left Kevin Steen a bloody mess in the process. Windham showed how dangerous he can be when he put STING out of action for nearly a year- and tonight it was Steen who paid a heavy price.

Velvet: And that's why Windham is the heavyweight champion in PWMA. Now it's time for the Heartland Ladies' Championship! I expect this match to be a total barnburner!


Heartland Ladies' Championship
KELLY KLEIN (c) vs. HOLIDEAD

As predicted, Kelly and Holidead both came out aggressively and attempted to beat the stuffings out of each other. Holidead smartly avoided Kelly's deadly choke hold, but Holidead was unable to do much damage going toe-to-toe. Holidead took the battle to the arena floor, where THUNDER ROSA came out of the crowd and nailed Kelly with a blow to the back of the head. Kelly went down, and Holidead rolled Kelly back into the ring and dropped the champion with Darkness Falls for the victory.

WINNER: HOLIDEAD

HOLIDEAD WINS THE HEARTLAND LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP

Velvet: Oh, no she didn't! I can't believe Thunder Rosa got involved- and cost Kelly the title! Kelly fought long and hard to get to the top of the heap- and now Holidead comes along and has to cheat to steal the victory.

EpicDave: That was a sad ending to a great match. But we all know Holidead is as conniving as she is crazy, so nothing she does will ever shock me. All right, fans- it's time for tonight's world championship matches!


NWA World Tag Team Championship
JACK & JERRY BRISCO (c) vs. THE BRITISH BULLDOGS

Another tag team classic! The champions controlled much of this match, and their superior teamwork enabled them to gain the advantage from the outset. Dynamite Kid found himself trapped in the Briscos' corner, where he took a great deal of punishment. After a near-fall from Jerry's Oklahoma Side Roll, Dynamite finally escaped to tag in Davey Boy. But Davey Boy suffered a similar fate, and it didn't take long for Jack to put him away with the Figure-Four Leglock.

WINNERS: JACK & JERRY BRISCO

JACK & JERRY BRISCO RETAIN THE NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Russell: Congratulations to JACK & JERRY BRISCO for retaining the NWA World Tag Team Championship. After all the shenanigans we have been seeing tonight, it's great to see a clean match conducted in the wrestling ring.

EpicDave: I couldn't agree more, sir. Congratulations to Jack and Jerry for another big victory. These guys have a stranglehold on the World Championship. The same could be said of RIC FLAIR, the reigning and defending NWA World Heavyweight Champion. He is set for a double-tough challenger in BOBO BRAZIL in tonight's Main Event.


Main Event: NWA World Heavyweight Championship
RIC FLAIR (c) (w/BOBBY 'THE BRAIN' HEENAN) vs. BOBO BRAZIL

The champ had has hands full with the powerhouse Bobo. Brazil's big hammer punches and head butts had Flair backpedaling from the outset. In desperation, Heenan handed Flair a metal chain, but Bobo snatched the object away from Flair and nailed Flair with the chain! Flair was busted open, and Heenan was beside himself. Bobo landed another massive Coco Butt and went for the cover, but Heenan was able to pull Flair's leg over the bottom rope to interrupt the pinfall. Bobo was frustrated, and Flair took the opportunity to deliver a low blow to Bobo which dropped the challenger to the mat. With his face a crimson mask, Flair went to work on the left leg of Bobo. Unleashing everything in his arsenal, Flair attacked the left knee of Bobo until Bobo was left helpless on the mat. Brazil was writhing in pain when Flair wrapped him into the Figure-Four and forced the submission.sing every painful manuver in his arsenal, Flair pounded away at Bobo's knee until Bobo lay helpless on the mat. Flair seized upon the opportunity to lock in the Figure-Four, and the devastated Bobo was forced to give it up.

WINNER: RIC FLAIR

RIC FLAIR RETAINS THE NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

After the submission, the referee tended to Brazil as Flair sank to his knees. Without warning, TERRY FUNK stormed to ringside, followed by JIMMY HART. Funk took his branding iron and launched a vicious attack on Flair! Flair was off-guard and completely helpless, and Funk delivered a brutal beating despite the pleas of Bobby Heenan to stop. Referees were unable to control the situation, and Funk beat Flair until the champion collapsed motionless to the mat.


EpicDave: What a cowardly display by TERRY FUNK! What the hell does he think he is doing?

Russell: The bad blood between WHATEVER WE WANT and THE HEENAN FAMILY goes back a long ways- and it was Flair who took the world title from Funk back in September.

Velvet: Flair still hasn't moved!

EpicDave: He lost a lot of blood during the match- and he just took a hellacious beatdown. We're going to need assistance to get Flair back to the training room. What a shocking conclusion to tonight's show. Congratulations are due to the Nature Boy- that's about as close as we have seen him come to losing his title- but he has resilience that is second to none and it was a remarkable comeback we witnessed here tonight. After all that he went through, he didn't stand a chance against the vicious attack laid down by Terry Funk. Love him or hate him, we wish the Nature Boy the best as he gets taken out for medical attention. All right, fans- we're done here.
