The following is a joint news release from Filsinger Games and CHIKARA: Filsinger Games and CHIKARA are proud to announce they are teaming up on all-new game featuring popular CHIKARA wrestlers. The game is scheduled for release in summer, 2011. CHIKARA is one of the most popular wrestling federations in the United States featuring a variety of colorful and exciting wrestlers. The style of CHIKARA is perfectly suited for Filsinger Games, a company that for decades has released popular wrestling games like Champions of the Galaxy and Legends of Wrestling Card Game. The all-CHIKARA game will be an exciting new venture for both companies. "It's a match made in game and wrestling heaven," said owner Tom Filsinger. "Any CHIKARA fan, or in fact any wrestling or game fan, will love it!" The CHIKARA game is scheduled for release in July, 2011. Players will be able to run their own CHIKARA federation with the most popular stars at their fingertips. Playing cards will be drawn by artist Werner Mueck who has contributed many drawings for Filsinger Games over the years.

STRONG!
I kinda feel like a proud papa seeing Werner finally get a well-deserved world-wide project like this. World, welcome to Werner. Nobody deserves it more after all his hard work for basically peanuts over the years. These drawings are SICK AS HELL. Imo the BEST art Werner has ever cranked out.
Big time congrats to Werner. Yesterday you were a name that everyone in the COTG community knew well. Today, your name is in the bright lights of the IWC and wrestling fans all over the world. SUPER STRONG!
As for the set. Major props to Tom for allowing this to happen. Talk about new and exciting exposure for the game! HUGE! Working directly with CHIKARA is about as good as it gets.
I'd bet the house this set will be everything both new and reigning LOTF fans will love. Don't expect the same few Chikara cards you've seen with new art. I'd bet these guys are getting total make overs.
Lastly, bow down to Mike Quackenbush for allowing this to become a reality. Mike is a class guy, class businessman and a brilliant mind in his own right. Combining the brain power of Mike and Tom is almost criminal!
Thanks to everyone involved in this landmark project. I could not be more excited to see where it goes next and how it turns out this summer at Galacticon in NY when it's released.

I think the obvious question that everybody will be wanting to know is "Will they be 100% compatible with the cards that we already have or will they be more of a standalone set?" I hope they fit right in with the massive amount of cards we already have.
This is awesome news and the artwork looks excellent. I am glad to see color artwork on the LOW cards without them going to photos. The artwork has always been a big part of what has drawn me in to LOW so I would hate to ever see that change.
July can't come soon enough!

Awesome news. The drawings look off the charts and hearing about an all Chikara set is like getting a nice post-Christmas present I already run five territories in my LOW/LOTF fed so I'm not sure if I will introduce Chikara as another brand but I may have to. Really looking forward to this set. I think this might be my 1000th post here and I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate. Also, I'm marking out over the thought of a color playing card for Ultramantis Black, my favorite Chikara star

Ok, so I did some research. Here's some facts I have found that might help identify the scope of this project: First, I am working on the assumption that if they remake any of the roster for whom we already have cards (a safe bet at least, given that Quack N' Saw are part of the ad) they will only be those on the current CHIKARA roster. Second, I am going by the CHIKARA roster currently available on Wikipedia. I would go by the one on their official site, but I honestly can't think they would drop that many wrestlers after the Season 9 finally. I could be wrong, so I did make note of who is listed on that roster as well. So, having said that let's begin. There are 41 wrestlers on the Wiki roster (21 on the site roster). Of these only 25 (or 11) don't already have cards in LotF. Those are (with the site roster 11 first): The Throwbacks (Dasher Hatfield and Sugar Dunkerton) Incoherence (Hallowicked and Frightmare) Grizzly Redwood Johnny Garagno STIGMA Vin Gerard Ares Tim Donst Tursas Colin Delaney Olsen and Jimmy Olsen Helios Super Smash Bros. ( Player Uno and Player Dos) 3.0 (Scott "Jagged" Parker and Shane Mathews) Los Ice Creams (El Hijo d'el Ice Cream and Ice Cream, Jr.) Kodama and Obariyon Sinn Bodhi Lince Dorado Pinkie Sanchez
So that's the potential roster pool of new faces for a CHIKARA set. Looks like Hallowicked and Frightmare at least are in. This is AWAOME news, but I do have a small question...in keeping with the theme, are the Bruderschaft des Kreuzes cards going to be done in grey-scale colors?
