GWF 71 06.18.2088 from Cassini Auditorium
- News Update -
- Spike is back, seemingly unhappy he'll have no cleansing yet.
- Pit Viper has challenged Killer Queen, following his actions against Pulsar last week.
- Still no word of any sort on the whereabouts of Iron Mane of the AWA.
- Red Talon has signed a contract with the GWF and issued an immediate challenge to the returning Spike.
- No further information on the cloaked man who made an impact last week.
- Doc Strongbow -
The show opened with Doc Strongbow making his way to the ring and saluting each part of the crowd in turn before getting on the microphone.
"Welcome fans and here we go with more top wrestling action. Spike is back in action tonight and I'm sure is eager to get himself back into the upper echelons here, though he'll find himself up against Red Talon who's signed a contract with the GWF. We'll also see The Gladiators tuning up for their next defence by taking on the Greek Gods tonight. Pit Viper and Killer Queen go one on one as the Titan aims for to avenge the treatment of Pulsar last week. Later tonight sees Krakan taking on Wolf in our main event!"
The Doc exited the ring as Death Knight's theme filled the arena and the action got under way.
- Singles Bout - Death Knight vs. Mesmer Mesmer defeated Death Knight with a Sleeper Hold at 1:21 Match Rating: 0.50 Match Notes: Mesmer defeated Death Knight with very little fuss and in very little time. He soon had a sleeper hold locked in and his opponent had no counter for it. With Death Knight sleeping, Mesmer slid from the ring and headed backstage. Efficient, calm and totally in control.
- Singles Bout - Pit Viper vs. Killer Queen Pit Viper defeated Killer Queen with a VENOM BLAST at 27:22 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: This epic of a bout started well for Killer Queen who was in charge for a time, coming close to a pin several times. Viper survived the Checkmate and gradually worked his way into the bout, he seemed to quite deliberately slow things down and bring the pain. Killer Queen took four Titan Drops and a number of other big moves, but he never had things entirely his own way, Queen often found a way to get back on the offence, however the first time that Viper hit the Venom Blast it was all over.
- Pit Viper - Following the bout, Killer Queen was first to leave, stumbling backstage while Pit Viper celebrated. He looked as exhausted as his opponent but clearly delighted with the hard fought victory. From nowhere a cloaked figure slipped into the ring and hit Viper with a heavy handed punch, putting the Titan down then wading in with a number of kicks and punches. It all happened fast, too fast for anybody to make the save and the assailant was soon nowhere to be seen. The second such attack in as many weeks, though on this occasion Thantos was not on the scene.
- Tag Team Bout - Beauty and the Beast vs. Bomb Squad Commander Sam defeated Vanity with a SAMS ATOMIC DROP at 1:44 Match Rating: 0.50 Match Notes: This was easy! Adam Blast and Vanity began the match, testing out each other for no more than 30 seconds or so, then Sam tagged in. Vanity took a couple of big shots and after being thrown from the ring, he returned only to be blasted by Sam's Atomic Drop and a pin. The Creeper seemed unmoved by the whole spectacle and didn't make any effort at all to get involved.
Vanity berated Creeper all the way from the ring to the backstage area, though it's not clear how much of it was sinking in.
- Singles Bout - Spike vs. Red Talon Spike defeated Red Talon with a SUPER DESTROYER at 0:37 Match Rating: 0.10 Match Notes: Red Talon arrived to the ring first looking serious and focused for his debut, no ring music and no show boating. Maybe he'd taken Badger's comments to heart. Spike meanwhile thundered to the ring looking rather angry and ready for violent action. He didn't have long to wait. Talon began on the offensive but his first move, an atomic drop, was easily countered by Spike. To Red Talon's credit he kicked out of the Atomic Spike that immediately followed, but the Super Destroyer finished things. Three moves, two pin attempts. Dominant stuff from Spike, he may have been denied a Cleansing thus far, but he's back with fire in his eyes!
- Reptillo - Reptillo, the legend of the AWA arrived at the conclusion of the bout, notably he waited until Spike had left the scene before he moved to offer consolation to Red Talon. The veteran and the rookie stood together for a moment, Reptillo acknowledging the younger man, they'd worked together briefly back in the AWA and even if Talon has yet to be accepted by the Ani-Men, he seems to have a friend.
- Singles Bout - Reptillo vs. Splatter Splatter defeated Reptillo with a foreign object at 20:42 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: Having witnessed Red Talon lose in near record time, Reptillo obviously wanted to put on a better showing. His veteran ring savvy was a good match for the unrestrained violence of Splatter. Several times the Ani-Man came close to a win but was just unable to put his opponent away, Splatter was just as frustrated with Reptillo constantly making a come back and late in the bout used a pair of brass knuckles to his advantage. Somehow the referee missed this blatant cheating and the three count followed.
Nice to see that Red Talon emerged soon after to applaud the efforts of Reptillo, maybe he remembers the glory years when Reptillo dominated in the AWA, where it's fair to say he remains a legendary figure.
- Tag Team Bout - Gladiators of Aethra vs. Greek Gods Proteus defeated Brute with an OVERHEAD TOSS at 17:20 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: This was hardly the tune up for their title defence that The Gladiators would have been hoping for. The Greek Gods really brought the fight, matching the champions step by step and as a result the action was fast, exciting and saw both teams having moments in the ascendancy. With a performance like this, the Gods will surely be seeking a title shot in the very near future, they looked focused and confident. Proteus' show of strength in landing Brute with a massive Overhead Toss was an awesome display of strength and a fitting end to the encounter.
- Singles Bout - Wolf vs. Invincible Krakan This match ended in a draw Match Notes: This bout ended in chaos! Krakan and Wolf engaged in a hard fought battle, of which Wolf seemed to be gaining an advantage as the action wore on. With Krakan finally slumped in the ring corner, he looked to be the next victim of the Savage Face Claw, Wolf signalled for the move and no doubt would have locked it in had a stunning dark haired woman appeared from out of nowhere at ringside. With Wolf momentarily distracted a large moustachioed man slipped into the ring behind him and dealt a thunderous blow to the back of Wolf's head! As the dark haired woman dissolved from sight, so the muscular newcomer slapped a pair of wrist restraints onto Wolf. While the crowd watched in stunned horror Wolf began to fight, recovering a little but finding himself at a distinct disadvantage. Suddenly Proteus bolted to the ring and nailed the newcomer with a mighty clothesline. The dark haired beauty returned, exactly where she had been, her image flickering and distorting a little, a hologram! That distraction was enough, Proteus and Wolf found themselves alone in the ring as the mysterious third party vanished into the crowd. The show coming to an end with a sense of confusion amongst the fans in attendance.

GWF 72 06.25.2088 from Many Moons Fieldhouse
- News Update -
- Word from the Ani-Men is that they are impressed by Red Talon's work ethic.
- Battering Ram has yet to return, no word on why or where he's been.
- Killer Queen has issued a challenge to Pit Viper, feeling there is unfinished business between them.
- Wolf is furious following the events last week and has issued an open challenge to anyone brave enough to face him in a Torture Chamber Bout.
- The Greek Gods good recent form has not gone unnoticed as they look to be next in line for a title shot.
- Sources unknown have promised an update on the attack made on Wolf last week.
- Doc Strongbow - The Doc arrived with his usual pomp and ceremony, engaging with the fans on his way to the ring and building the excitement levels as he spoke.
"Good evening fans and welcome! We are just a few days out from StarSlam and it's already shaking up to be a great event. You already know that both the Galaxian and Tag titles are set to be defended, we'll also see the returning Battering Ram, who having returned from his period of leave has issued a challenge to Spike, promising to give the Gladiator a cleansing of a very different nature to the one he seeks! No word yet on anybody stepping up to accept Wolf's challenge of a Torture Chamber Bout but we'll..."
Suddenly Doc was cut off as Splatter's theme filled the auditorium and the man himself emerged, making his way down the entrance ramp, he stopped halfway and shouted into a microphone "Wolf!!" he paused, taking a blade and jabbing it repeatedly at his own shoulder, causing a trickle of blood to flow from the wound "I accept, I'm ready to bleed, you and me, Torture Chamber at StarSlam. Bring on the blood bath!"
Splatter was gone as soon as he'd arrived leaving Doc to simply let the worked up crowd await the beginning of the action.
- Singles Bout - Red Talon vs. Mutant Red Talon defeated Mutant with a Feather Smother at 4:48 Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: Red Talon recorded a first GWF win, the youngster really seeming to find his feet with this excellent victory. Maybe the pin, when it came, was papering over the cracks a little, Talon had been second best for much of the match and often retreated out of the ring to regroup, much to the annoyance of the fans. The action failed to truly ignite for this reason and when Mutant fell victim to Feather Smother he seemed to forget to kick out or make any effort to escape. - Singles Bout - Reptillo vs. Death Knight Reptillo defeated Death Knight with an Ani-Men Ax Handle at 4:58 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Reptillo put in an impressive performance, he really didn't give Death Knight much of a look in. It may have taken an unsuccessful Lizard Clutch and a couple of Ani-Men Ax Handles but Reptillo finally got the result he craved. The veteran is sure keeping busy of late and looks to be working hard to ensure the twilight of his career is another high spot in a storied career. Many have spoken of Reptillo's drive and his desire to do anything and everything to stay relevant in the world of professional wrestling.
- Tag Team Bout - Space-Croppers vs. Beauty and the Beast Beast-Rider defeated Vanity with a BULLDOG RIDE at 4:54 Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: The Space Croppers took it in turns to battle Vanity who had no help at all from The Creeper who simply never made himself available for a tag. When the end came it was almost inevitable given the two versus one nature of the match. How much longer Vanity is prepared to persist with a tag partner who isn't much of a partner and won't tag remains to be seen.
- Singles Bout - Mesmer vs. Comrade Terror Comrade Terror defeated Mesmer with an ATOMIC WARHEAD at 16:21 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: Mesmer came into this bout on a recent run of decent form and looked in good shape, he had a series of near falls and was clearly the dominant force for much of this bout. Comrade Terror struggled to get going and was lucky to still be in the bout when he connected with an Atomic Warhead out of nowhere. Having scored the win Terror stumbled from the ring, clearly the worse for wear and very obviously having taken a great deal more punishment than his opponent. Mesmer meanwhile was clearly upset at the manner of this loss, perhaps just one slip in concentration and he lost a bout he should have won comfortably.
- Singles Bout - Commander Sam vs. Invincible Krakan Invincible Krakan defeated Commander Sam with a FALLING FACE SLAM at 5:39 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: Krakan needed a good win and he got it here against the veteran Sam. Both men started well and the action went back and forth with neither of them taking a backward step. Krakan took everything Sam could throw at him and gave as good as he got, eventually he was able to exert control and put together a string of high impact moves that culminated with the Falling Face Slam and the three count.
- Six Man Tag Bout - Massif, Omega, and Star Warrior vs. Lord Nexus, Pit Viper, and Pulsar Pulsar defeated Omega with a Titan Drop at 16:31 Match Rating: 5.00 Match Notes: The six heroes put on a fantastic display for the fans, while the bout was competitive and no punches were pulled it was fought cleanly and fairly. Each of the six men had their time to shine, Pit Viper held his own for a time against Massif while Star Warrior and Lord Nexus out on a clinic of dazzling high risk wrestling skills. Clearly keen to impress, Pulsar did battle with each member of the opposing team and the youngster was cheered raucously by the crowd. The arena erupted when he caught Omega for the win. The two teams shared a mass embrace and saluted the fans as one, those lucky enough to be in the arena will have lasting memories of a truly epic match up.

StarSlam II 06.27.2088 from Homam Superior Academy
- Doc Strongbow - The latest PPV started with the Doc riding to the ring on a brand new Hover Bike, while popular rock band Jonty Warpstain and the Black Hole Band played a couple of their rockiest tunes. When he arrived at the ring he addressed the fans, having waited for the excitement to settle enough to be heard.
"Welcome to StarSlam! Many highlights tonight in what is a packed show. Both the Galaxian and Tag titles are on the line here, but before that we'll see Wolf and Splatter in a Torture Chamber Bout. Meanwhile Spike has upped the ante and challenged Battering Ram to make their match a last man standing bout!
Enough out of me, it's time to bring the pain!
- Titan Death Match - Pit Viper vs. Killer Queen Killer Queen defeated Pit Viper with a CHECKMATE at 8:29 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: StarSlam kicked off with a solid opening bout, the action was back and forth with plenty of opportunity for each man to push an advantage. Pit Viper had a really great surge mid bout, connecting with all of his big moves save for the Venom Blast which he didn't get to use all match. Killer Queen on the other hand caught Viper in the Checkmate a couple of times and the second proved too much for the Titan. With the bout completed there seemed something akin to genuine respect between the two.
- Singles Bout - Exo-King vs. Lord Nexus Lord Nexus defeated Exo-King with a dropkick off turnbuckle at 5:47 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: Lord Nexus started well and kept it going throughout, Exo-King failed to really get himself going and was unable to get to grips with his quicker opponent. King did survive a couple of Titan Drop's but was clearly running out of steam when Nexus caught him with a thunderous dropkick from the turnbuckle. The three count followed and Nexus celebrated with the fans, the popular hero connecting with his noisy followers.
- Tag Team Bout - Greek Gods vs. Norse Gods Actagon defeated Man-Mountain with a GRECIAN SLEEPER GRIP at 9:17 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: The Greek Gods are on a roll at the moment and that momentum continued here. They were the better team for much of the encounter. Man-Mountain had begun well, but he seemed to fade as the bout wore on. Lightening did get into the ring a few times and attempt to turn the tide but was never able to make the impact he would have liked. Proteus and Actagon embraced at the end of the bout and spent a few moments miming putting title belts about their waists. It is becoming difficult to imagine any team but the Greek Gods being next in line for a shot at the titles.
- Singles Bout - Spike vs. Battering Ram Battering Ram defeated Spike with a BATTERING RAM at 25:12 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: This was an absolute war! The returning Battering Ram was in tremendous form and was more than matched by Spike. The Gladiator, still furious at a lack of cleansing, looked all business. The bout spilled out of the ring on a number of occasions, each man connected with their high impact finishers a couple of times. When finally Spike was unable to meet the count, Battering Ram dropped to his knees in exhaustion. Both wrestlers took a moment to recover and as they left the ring the animosity between the two was obvious.
- Torture Chamber Bout - Wolf vs. Splatter Wolf defeated Splatter with a SAVAGE FACE CLAW at 15:31 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: Another absolute war, this one shorter, bloodier and violent in the extreme. Mid match Splatter hit three Hatchet Jobs in a row, each one looking to demolish Wolf more. There seemed there could be no way that Wolf could survive, let alone make a come back. Somehow though the Ani-Man kept himself in the bout and began to turn the tables, he got his revenge the bout cane to an end with the third Savage Face Claw. Both men were a bloody mess at the end and neither looked particularly steady on their feet as they headed backstage.
- Title Bout - Gladiators of Aethra vs. Bloodline for the Galaxian Tag Team Championship Brute defeated Omega with a DECAPITATOR at 2:31 Match Rating: 1.50 Match Notes: This match failed to live up to the earlier action of the night and was a very simple defence for the champions. Massacre and Omega got things started and the Gladiator beat Omega from corner to corner, give the living legend a little credit though, he kicked out of a couple of early pin attempts, including a Massacre Slam. But immediately after that in came Brute and The Gladiators crushed Omega with their finisher. Massacre getting the cover while Brute blocked Star Warrior from making the save. In fact, attempting to save his father was the only time that Star Warrior got into the ring, he was completely excluded from the action.
- Title Bout - Thantos vs. Bishop Hell for the Galaxian Championship Thantos defeated Bishop Hell with a count out at 7:34 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Some had feared that Bishop Hell may just rollover here, but that was not the case. He put up a great fight and although he was on the defensive for most of the bout, he managed to hold his own reasonably well.
Toward the end of the bout Thantos hit his Satanic Skull Crusher and made to go for the dreaded Masterlock. The Bishop managed to roll out of the ring just in time, but was hit by a huge clothesline from the mysterious cloaked stranger we'd been seeing of late.
Somehow the referee missed this interference and Hell was rolled back into the ring and straight into the pin.
- De-Cloaking - With his title defended, Thantos slammed Bishop Hell into the corner turnbuckle and chuckled maliciously as his challenger slumped helplessly. The masked man stepped into the ring, shedding his cloak as he went revealing a man of modest build with a villainous moustache and a robotic left arm, no wonder those clotheslines and assaults had been so effective!
Thantos gave a curt nod to the newcomer before addressing the crowd.
"This title is mine and so is this federation. I am the GWF! To tighten my grip, let me introduce the newest member of the Royal Court, the man to keep them in line and serving my interests alone. This is The Duke of Destruction!"
The Duke played up to the crowd, circled the ring and grabbed a microphone of his own. "I am the leader of the Royal court and.." Thantos cut him off "You are a member of the Royal Court"
The Duke made the briefest of grimaces before continuing. "I am a member of the Royal Court and am here to ensure that we become the dominant force in the GWF. This will be my Dukedom!"
The fans responded in something of a mixed manner, perhaps the Duke wasn't nearly as menacing now that he'd finally shed his large cloak.

GWF 73 07.02.2088 from Penguin Ice Castle
- News Update -
- Red Talon continues to train alongside the Ani-Men, while not a team member yet, he is taking advantage of these sessions with the aim of improving.
- Red Talon has apparently been encouraging other member of the AWA (Andromeda Wrestling Alliance) which despite long rumours of it's closure continues for now.
- Still nothing on the whereabouts of former AWA champion Iron Mane.
- The Greek Gods granted status as number one contenders by Commissioner Carter.
- Newcomer Duke of Destruction is causing some issues in the Royal Court by questioning Exo-King's leadership.
- Bishop Hell having been brought to heel by Thantos has issued an anytime, anywhere challenge to Star Warrior
- New GWF manager licence granted to one Reynard B. Guile who is expected to address the fans tonight.
- Doc Strongbow - To open the show Doc Strongbow made his now familiar approach and spent a few minutes milking the crowd before turning to business.
"As you know, the young and very talented Red Talon joined the GWF recently and he's been staying in contact with his old colleagues over in the AWA. While it brings me no pleasure to note that the AWA is struggling at present, this state of affairs has presented us with an opportunity. Joining us tonight and in the ring next will be the former AWA tag team champions Rosmarus and Cephalopodis, who being unable to use their former team name due to licencing restrictions, will compete here as Depth Charges! For those of you who haven't seen these two in action, take a look at the big screen where Red Talon provides a quick introduction.."
The short video package followed, giving Doc time to exit the ring before the newcomers arrived in person.
- Tag Team Bout - Depth Charges vs. Animal Magic Reptillo defeated Cephalopodis with a Disqualification at 4:44 Match Rating: 1.50 Match Notes: Not the best of debuts for Depth Charges who did ok in the early going, but that really didn't last long. Clearly somewhat frustrated at being unable to gain any traction against Reptillo, Cephalopodis took the action outside of the ring and barely a moments thought clocked his legendary opponent with a steel chair. He followed that first strike with a second before the referee could signal the DQ. With the result in the record books, Rosmarus addressed the crowd, stating that they were here to win the titles and not just in the GWF to make up the numbers.
- Singles Bout - Omega vs. Duke of Destruction Duke of Destruction defeated Omega with a GRIP OF DOOM at 5:07 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: before this bout Omega addressed the crowd and confirmed that following Bloodlines loss at StarSlam, he felt it was time for both him and Star Warrior to turn back to singles action and that his son was itching to get back to the top of the rankings to challenge Thantos. The living legend confirmed that Bloodline weren't retiring completely, just slowing down.
The very moment Omega had finished speaking the Duke of Destruction appeared and offered a challenge, the ad-hoc match was immediately added the card and the bell rung.
The Duke proved a little too much for Omega in the end, the action was back and forth throughout and remained competitive, but the Grip of Doom proved the difference maker and Omega had no option but to tap.
- Singles Bout - Executioner vs. Billy Jo Boxer Billy Jo Boxer defeated Executioner with a TKO at 15:13 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: Billy Jo Boxer won an absolute war here, both men really brought their A games and the action was furiously back and forth with neither competitor able to gain an advantage for some time. Both of these two warriors came close to a disqualification and on another night that surely would have been the outcome. However on this occasion, just when it seemed this bout would go on forever the TKO hit out of nowhere and it was all over.
- Tag Team Bout - Space-Croppers vs. Beauty and the Beast Vanity defeated Beast-Rider with a PULVERIZER at 14:01 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: Finally The Creeper put in a quality performance, with recent bouts seeing him largely forgetting to compete he was tuned in tonight and played a vital role in his teams victory. Having secured a valuable win with his Pulveriser, Vanity was clearly delighted with his team mate. Perhaps there's been some behind the scenes training going on. Will this mark a sustained uptick in form for Beauty and the Beast?
The Vain one, never short of confidence was extremely vocal in declaring his team as "champions in waiting" it remains to be seen if the Gladiators were watching..
- Singles Bout - Spike vs. Commander Sam This match ended in a draw (Disqualification) at 3:01 Match Rating: 1.00 Match Notes: Spike, eager to find some form following his recent loss to Battering Ram challenged Commander Sam to a one on one battle. While the Gladiator was motivated and driven, he found himself against a man who never takes a backward step. The bout was short and furious, not one for the wrestling purest! The action soon spilled out of the ring both men went at the other with a steel chair. When that wasn't enough Spike throw a ringside monitor at Sam who responded by hurling a set of steel steps at Spike. The disqualification came as absolutely no surprise to anybody
- Reynard B. Guile - Finally Reynard B. Guile arrived to ring, a small, weasley man with hunched shoulders and bandy legs. He took a moment to introduce himself and waved a theatrical hand with a flourish.
"I have arrived, my associate and I. The time has come to bring an end to the Ani-Men and their seasons of mediocrity. Not only are they an embarrassment to themselves but to wrestling as a whole. Having kidnapped the AWA champion Iron Mane, yes it was me, I did it, we did it. We now come to the GWF to continue growing our collection of ani-men. The cowardly Red Talon fled the AWA to avoid us, as did what are they calling themselves now Depth Charges. But, it's Reptillo I'm here for today, yes he's already competed tonight but I challenge him to a bout tonight. Here. Him and me, one on one for the freedom of Iron Mane. Double or quits. Win Iron Mane's freedom or join him in my rapidly expanding circus of freaks.
- Titan Death Match - Reynard B. Guile vs. Reptillo Reptillo defeated Reynard B. Guile with a LIZARD CLUTCH at 6:24 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Before the bout Reynard B. Guile introduced his associate, a large man with a huge moustache called Bounty Hunter. The big man drew attention to the video screen showing Iron Mane within a cage, he looked tired and drawn, hungry and thirsty. The sight drew gasps from the crowd and laughter from the Bounty Hunter and Guile.
Maybe Guile had seriously over estimated his ability in the ring, but he was overmatched by Reptillo who took a straight forward victory. Clearly not happy at the outcome Bounty Hunter joined the action and attacked Reptillo, luckily for the ani-man he was swiftly rescued by Badger and Battering Ram.
No doubt Reptillo would have fallen into captivity whether he won or lost, but with the Ani-Men team combining to defeat the debuting villains Guile exchanged the release of Iron Mane for their own escape from the ring.
- Singles Bout - Massif vs. Comrade Terror Comrade Terror defeated Massif with an ATOMIC WARHEAD at 7:36 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: Comrade Terror took an impressive win over the huge Massif. He started the bout quickly and hit the first Atomic Warhead of the bout early, from then on it was one way traffic. Massif failed throughout to find a way back into the contest and never really found any sort of momentum. The second time Terror hit his finisher it was enough to claim the three count and earn the win.
- Singles Bout - Bishop Hell vs. Star Warrior Bishop Hell defeated Star Warrior with a HELLFIRE at 10:30 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: The fans vented their frustrations with the result of this encounter, Star Warrior had the best of things and looked to be headed toward victory, he hadn't quite been able to put Bishop Hell away but had come very close a number of times. Late in the bout, coming off the ropes the Bishop caught Warrior with his Hellfire, an out of nowhere illegal attack that the referee completely missed. Despite being against the run of play it was enough to garner the pin. Having secured the victory, Hell fled the arena before suffering any reprisal.

GWF 74 07.09.2088 from Ipyxidis Shipyards
- News Update -
- Gladiators vs Greek Gods is first match signed for the upcoming Deathmark '88 PPV.
- Iron Mane is safe and sound, recovering before returning to the AWA.
- However the AWA is on rockier ground than ever, number of wrestlers dropped to the point that tag titles are suspended.
- Spike vs Commander Sam rematch is main event tonight, following last weeks double DQ.
- The Gladiators to defend titles against Beauty and the Beast.
- Duke of Destruction has issued a challenge to the FDF for a tag match tonight.
- Doc Strongbow - With microphone in hand Doc opened the show.
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen, welcome along to the GWF! Let me confirm that following his reprehensible treatment of Iron Mane, I have scheduled a bout between Reynard B. Guile and Wolf. I can also confirm that Omega and Massif have accepted the Duke's challenge and will tag together tonight. But before all of that please put your hands together for Depth Charges who join me now to make an announcement.
Cephalopodis: "Yeah yeah, whatever. So we're changing name. Clearly Depth Charges is a stupid name and it cost us the win last week.
Rosmarus: "Damn right, from now on, we'll be known as The Mighty Seamen!"
Doc Strongbow laughed as did many members of the audience.
C: "See, I told you, we can't call ourselves that!"
R: "Ok, right, from now on we will be called Water Feature!"
C: "No, that's silly"
R: "I meant, Water Slaughter, we are now Water Slaughter! wooh!"
C: "No way."
R: "From the Fathoms?"
C: "No"
R: "Tides of War?"
C: "It's not terrible..."
R: "We are Tides of War! Bring it on, we are Tides of War and we're gonna rock this fed!"
- Tag Team Bout - Tides of War vs. TitanPower Lord Nexus defeated Cephalopodis with a Count Out at 21:32 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: The Tides of War put on a very creditable display here and proved a match for their opponents for the duration. The giant Cephalopodis, all seven foot plus of him took a heavy fall over the top rope from a perfectly timed Lord Nexus drop kick. Seems that the impact of that fall on top of the punishment he'd already sustained was enough see him fail to make the ten count. The Titans looked delighted to claim a hard fought victory and continue to see them push up the tag rankings. Tides of War meantime continue to seek their first victory in the GWF.
- Singles Bout - Wolf vs. Reynard B. Guile Wolf defeated Reynard B. Guile with a SAVAGE FACE CLAW at 1:15 Match Rating: 1.00 Match Notes: Wolf took just a little more than a minute to defeat Guile. Within a few moments of the first bell he locked on the Savage Face Claw and refused to let go. Guile tapped relentlessly and screamed in pain.
Reynard B. Guile was rescued by Bounty Hunter who rushed to the ring and engaged in a furious battle with Wolf. The two men finally separated, glaring at one another and issuing threats.
Wolf lunged and locked the Savage Face Claw on Guile again, Bounty Hunter broke the hold and helped Guile from the ring and to the backstage area.
- Tag Team Bout - Duke of Destruction and Killer Queen vs. Massif and Omega Massif defeated Duke of Destruction with an Abdominal Claw at 7:40 Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: Massif proved the difference maker here and dominated the majority of the bout. The Duke seemed determined to test his strength against Massif. He came second. The match itself was a little slow and failed to ignite the crowd and came to an end without much of a fanfare.
- Singles Bout - Commander Sam vs. Spike Commander Sam defeated Spike with a running slingshot at 2:45 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: Following the double DQ between these two last week, much was expected of this rematch. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a quick and one sided encounter, Sam caught Spike with his finisher in the early going and the Gladiator never really found his feet thereafter. The pin capped a routine win for Sam and left a frustrated Spike seething with anger and embarrassment.
- Singles Bout - Star Warrior vs. Executioner Star Warrior defeated Executioner with a Reverse piledriver at 4:29 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Star Warrior took the win, but didn't have it all his own way. Both men hit their finished during the encounter and a couple of times Warrior was forced to kick out of a pinning situation. Finally the galactic hero exerted his authority and claimed victory, he would have perhaps liked to have been a little more convincing however.
- Tag Team Bout - Gladiators of Aethra vs. Beauty and the Beast for the Galaxian Tag Team Championship Brute defeated The Creeper with a DECAPITATOR at 6:01 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: The Gladiators took an emphatic win here, they dominated the bout and could have ended it much sooner. Perhaps toying with their challengers, they hit three successive Decapitators before finally going for the pin on a broken and battered Creeper. The champions look in good form and are clearly ready for the Greek Gods in their next scheduled defence.
- Tides of War - Following the final bout Tides of War made their way to the ring, Rosmarus addressed the crowd briefly. "Clearly we are yet to find a name that empowers us as a team. Therefore we open it up to you, the fans, head online and cast a vote for our new name. There is power in names and with the right one, we can fulfil our destiny as the GWF's dominant tag force. Go vote!"

I thought the man that attacked Wolf was Reynard B Guile but, um, it seems I was wrong. Quite possibly, even I don’t know what I was planning 5 minutes ago! Guile provided the distraction and a moustachioed man (Bounty Hunter) attacked.
