LOW @ Baltimore, MD - Civic Center – Card 8
Buff Bagwell v. The Sandman Sandman arrives with his Sinapore Cane and beer in hand. The ladies love Bagwell. Bagwell has control of this one in the ring including a series of impressive looking dropkicks but when the match goes to the floor Sandman takes over running Bagwell into the ring steps. Back inside, Bagwell kicks out of one HARDCORE DDT but a second one ends it. Time: 1:12. *
Greg Valentine v. Dick Hutton Valentine is quickly becoming one of the federations most hated competitors. Hutton comes out strong much to the delight of the fans who cheer each move executed against the Hammer. Hutton was never really in trouble and gets the win with a Cowboy Backbreaker. Time: 1:10 *
Ted DiBiase w/Virgil v. Brutus Beefcake No tricks this time as the Million Dollar Man has come to compete tonight but not before taunting the fans at ringside with his cash. DiBiase absolutely dominated the action from bell to bell. Beefcake escapes a MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPER but cannot counter a figure four leglock (ch). Time: 0:51 dud
Andre The Giant v. Killer Kowalski Fans are jammed up against the railing for a chance to greet Andre as he comes to the ring. This is Andre’s first appearance in the area. The match started off slow with both men exchanging headlocks and lock ups. Things picked up when the action went to the floor and Kowalski bloodied the Giant off the ring post. Kowalski went on an impressive run including a series of bombs away kneedrops and a CLAW HOLD that Andre can barely escape. A bloody Andre comes back and then mounts the corner for a deathjump but Kowalski counters with a boot to the face. Later, Kowalski chokes out Andre with a cord on the floor and Andre is nearly counted out of the ring. Kowalski is a force tonight and stuns the fans when he gets the win after Andre blacks out while trapped in a CLAW HOLD. Time: 2:24. ***
The Foreign Legion appear on the Hot Seat with Bill Apter and Nikita Breznikov accuses the World Tag Team Champions Road Warriors of hiding and not being fighting champions. Hawk, Animal and Paul Ellering come out and tell the Legion if they want a fight they are going to get one. All six men brawl until security arrives to break things up.
Jimmy Snuka v. Playboy Buddy Rose Rose once again is on the mic before the bout demanding that he be announced at 217 pounds not 271 pounds. Rose gives us some push ups to prove his point drawing great heat. Rose tries to jump Snuka at ringside but the Superfly is ready and runs Rose into the ringside table. The bell sounds and Snuka take the fight back to the floor posting Rose busting open a nasty gash. The referee calls for the disqualification immediately. Snuka is not finished as he bites and tears away at Rose and then hits a perfect SUPERFLY LEAP. Snuka then hits a second SUPERFLY LEAP before security arrives to break things up. Rose needs medical assistance leaving ringside. Time 0:17. *
Johnny Valentine v. Bobo Brazil The war between these two continued tonight. Valentine assaulted the popular Brazil at ringside and left him a bloody and battered mess. Valentine tried everything from his finisher to a deathjump cross body block to a cross body rebounding off the ropes but could not get the three count. With the fans behind him, Brazil made a huge comeback including three consecutive COCO BUTTS but he too could not get the pinfall. The match went back and forth until Brazil caught Valentine in a bear hug and picked up the submission win. Time: 3:43. **** ½ LOW Champion Harley Race v Nick Bockwinkel w/Bobby Heenan The fans are all over Heenan before the bell but show their appreciation when the competitors shake hands to get the action underway. Race’s power really is the story in this one as he pushes the challenger around. Bockwinkel is able to get some offense in but Race regains control on the floor sending Bockwinkel hard into the rails. Back inside, Bockwinkel gets tangled in the ropes and Race punishes him with a series of head butts. The referee moves in but Race cracks him with a head butt as well and is disqualified. Heenan collects Bockwinkel who leaves with a win but without the title. Time: 1:50. **
A massif upset tonight as Andre the Giant suffers a clean loss to Killer Kowalski . . . . The feud between Jimmy Snuka & Playboy Buddy Rose continues to grow more violent card by card as does the feud between Bobo Brazil & Johnny Valentine . . . Dominating wins tonight for both Dick Hutton and Ted DiBiase . . . The next card will take place at High School Gym in Middlesex, NJ and will feature the following bouts. • King Kong Bundy looks get a win against Ilio DiPaolo
• Dick Hutton challenges Ted DiBiase
• Giant Baba continues his battle against Ox Baker
• Frank Gotch looks to begin in road back to the World Title against Buddy Rogers
• LOW Tag Team Champions Road Warriors defend against the Foreign Legion in the main event.

The vicious feud between Johnny Valentine and Bobo Brazil is really getting intense with neither competitor backing down. Looking forward to seeing how this one pans out and how Andre will respond to Kowalski bloodying him and putting him down with the dreaded Claw. What an assault KK inflicted on The Giant!

Thanks for the feedback Show and Kamala. Andre’s loss was a shocker. As far a rematch goes, since Andre is not on the regular roster and is a special attraction it will be awhile. The match has been pencilled in for Card 17 at Toronto’s Maple Leaf Gardens. LOW @ Middlesex, NJ, - High School Gym- Card 09
King Kong Bundy v. Ilio DiPaolo With the crowd solidly behind him DiPaolo continued to get the best of his much larger foe. The bout rolled to the floor and DiPaolo rammed Bundy head first into the steel rails busting him open. The referee called for the bell and disqualified DiPaolo. The action continues after the bell and DiPaolo snaps and goes after Bundy with an airplane spin at ringside that ends with Bundy going through a table. The crowd goes insane. Medical staff are needed to assist Bundy to the back. 1:17. *
Ted DiBiase w/Virgil v. Dick Hutton DiBiase pays a kid to skip rope 10 times but Virgil sticks his foot in at 9 preventing the payout. Great heat from ringside. This one was filled with great back and forth action. Both men used their finishers without success. Virgil got some blows in on Hutton at ringside which cranked the heat up even more for DiBiase. The end came when Hutton countered a charge into the corner with an elbow to the face and then rolled up DiBiase for the win with an Oklahoma sideroll. 3:35. ** ½
Giant Baba v. Ox Baker Baker is clearly not very popular with the fans. Baba dominates the action between the ropes but cannot capitalize on his opportunities for a win. Baker wins a brawl on the floor and then drops Baba with a HEART PUNCH for a near fall before the action goes to the floor. Both men tear up ringside and the referee disqualifies both competitors. After the bell Baker gets the best of Baba dropping him with a second HEART PUNCH. Baker then takes out the referee with a body slam before hitting Baba with a third HEART PUNCH. Security finally arrives to break up the attack. Time 2:05 **
The Destroyer on the Hot Seat with Bill Apter with a patch over his eye. Destroyer speaks about the pain he has gone through and then explains to Apter that when the doctors ask he what he can see he tells them all he can see is Gorgeous George and what he is going to do with him. Destroyer tells Apter that he does not see light or dark. He just sees pain and agony. The pain and agony that George will feel the next time they meet in the ring. Frank Gotch v. Buddy Rogers The fans give the former World Champion a solid ovation as he comes to the ring. Both men pulled out all the stops in and out of the ring in an effort to get the win in this one. Gotch survived an early FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE and Rogers worked the leg at ringside running Gotch’s knee into the ring post and later attacking his leg with a chair. The referee let them continue and Gotch mounted an impressive comeback using a series of rolling kneebars to nearly cripple the Nature Boy before ending it with a spinning neckbreaker (ch) Time 3:00 **** ½ LOW World Tag Team Title Match – Road Warriors w/Paul Ellering v. Foreign Legion w/Nikita Breznikov Volkoff sings the Russian Anthem and the fans jeer him out of the building. All four men start the bout in a massif shoving match before the actions settles down and both teams are able to make tags. Volkoff gains the advantage against Hawk and then tags in the Sheik who traps Hawk in a CAMEL CLUTCH to capture the titles in a shocker. Time: 1:06. *
Congratulations to Foreign Legion on becoming the new World Tag Team Champion with a convincing victory over the Road Warriors . . .The medical staff was busy tonight with injuries to both King Kong Bundy and Giant Baba. The injury to Baba was particularly significant as he is scheduled to challenge for the LOW World Title on the next card and it is unknown whether he will be medically cleared to compete or not . . . Ox Baker has been suspended for 2 cards for his attack on the LOW official tonight . . . The next card will take place at Mid Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie, NY and will feature the following bouts. • The Road Warrior – Foreign Legion feud continues with Road Warriors as Animal faces Nikolai Volkoff in singles action
• Red Bastien returns from injury to team with Bobo Brazil to face Johnny & Greg Valentine
• Ilio DiPaolo looks to continue his winning ways when he faces The Sandman
• The Last of the Famous International Playboys meet the Valiant Brothers
• Gorgeous George and The Superfly Jimmy Snuka go one on one
• LOW World Champion Harley Race is scheduled to defendant against Giant Baba

A well earned suspension for Ox Baker after his despicable actions in New Jersey.
Even if he's cleared to wrestle, there's no way that Baba is going to be 100% to face Race on the next card. A real shame for Shohei as cracks at the strap don't come around every day...

Thanks for following the action show.
LOW @ Poughkeepsie, NY- Mid Hudson Civic Center - Card 10
The Last of the Famous International Playboys (Buff Bagwell & Brutus Beefcake) v. Jimmy & Johnny Valiant w/Captain Lou Albana The Valiant try and jump their opponents on the floor but the Playboys have come to compete and quickly turn things around. Jimmy Valiant gets cut off from his own corner for some time and survives a FLYING KNEE SMASH. Johnny Valiant does not fare any better as Bagwell nearly gets the win with a BUFF BLOCKBUSTER. The action goes to the floor and Beefcake runs Johnny Valiant into the ring rails head first. The referee decides that he has seen enough and calls for the disqualification. The fans are not happy as Albano and his team retreat to the back with a cheap win in their pockets. Time: 1:43. * ½
Ilio DiPaolo v. The Sandman DiPaolo has been on an impressive streak recently but ran into a bit of road block tonight. This one ended up on the floor where DiPaolo wrestled away a chair from Sandman and then clocked him with it for the second disqualification finish of the night. Time: 0:45 dud
Road Warrior Animal w/Paul Ellering v. Nikolai Volkoff w/Nikita Breznikov Volkoff sings the Russian Anthem and draws epic heat. Animal opens the action with an overhead toss that rocks the fans at ringside. Both men pick up a near fall each in between brawling on the floor. Volkoff sends Animal into the ring post shoulder first and we have three disqualifications in a row. Things break down after the bell. Iron Sheik & Road Warrior Hawk join the battle and all six men brawl until security arrives to break things up. Time: 0:53. *
Ted DiBiase is on the Hot Seat accompanied by Virgil DiBiase gets annoyed with Apter’s questions about losing to Dick Hutton and Virgil grabs Apter by the collar. Dick Hutton arrives and brawls with both Virgil and DiBiase as security arrives once again to break up a fight. Jimmy Snuka v. Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupré Huge contrast in reaction from the fans as they adore the Superfly and despise George. George is able to ground Snuka with an airplane spin and a series of Gorgeous Grips gives him the advantage. Snuka escapes a small package with tights and a SPINNING TOE HOLD. The action goes to the floor and George decks the Superfly with Dupré’s shoe. Snuka does not recover before the ten count and is counted out of the ring. Snuka comes after George after the bell but George bails to the floor where The Destroyer is waiting for him. Destroyer removes the patch from his damaged eye and George flees like he has seen a ghost. Time: 1:02 *
Red Bastien & Bobo Brazil v. Johnny & Greg Valentine Another epic tag team battle between these four men. Bastien made his return from injury and was greeted with a huge ovation from ringside. This one went back and forth from the outset. Both Brazil and The Hammer are busted open during brawls on the floor. The faces get the majority of the action but cannot get the win. With time almost expired, Brazil lands back to back COCO BUTTS on Johnny Valentine but cannot get the pin before the time expires: Time: 5:00 *** ½ LOW World Title Match – Harley Race (ch) v. Giant Baba (inj) Baba comes out with his ribs heavily taped having just received medical clearance to compete hours before bell time. Despite his injury, Baba is very successful early on tying up the champion in various hold and counters. At one point Baba hits four consecutive Russian legsweeps but they appear to do as much damage to Baba as to they do to Race. The champion is able to connect with a jumping knee smash which sets up a diving headbutt. Baba kicks out of a cover but falls to a PILEDRIVER seconds later. Time: 2:33. *
A wild night of action with five of the six bouts ending without a clear winner. The fans were clearly not thrilled with the ending of some of the bouts. . . The feud between the team of Bobo Brazil & Red Bastien and the Valentines continues to be one of the top draws in the fed . . . The Destroyer appears ready to return to action and Gorgeous George may have to run for a long time if he hopes to escape his foe . . . The next card will take place at Civic Center in Portland, ME and will feature the following bouts. • Killer Kowalski faces Ilio DiPaolo
• Frank Gotch tangles with Ox Baker
• Dick Hutton will meet the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase
• Destroyer makes his return when he teams with Jimmy Snuka to face Gorgeous George & Playboy Buddy Rose
• Buddy Rogers takes on Nick Bockwinkel in a battle of top contenders
• LOW Tag Team Titles will be on the line as the Foreign Legion defends against former Champions Road Warriors in the main event
