LOW @ Allentown, PA - Agricultural Hall – Card 1
Ted DiBiase w/Virgil v. Brutus Beefcake DiBiase offers a youngster some cold hard cash to skip rope 10 times but the kids misses at 5 and DiBiase unleashes his evil laugh on the boy sending back to his family in tears. The Million Dollar Man looked very impressive throughout the match. Any time Beefcake gained the upper hand the advantage was short lived. Three times Beefcake survived a MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPER. Virgil got a few shots in drawing great heat. With time running down, DiBiase avoided a charge into the corner and then rolled up Beefcake for the three count using the ropes for leverage. Time: 4:48 **
Greg Valentine v. Red Bastien Bastien is able to set a very quick pace at the opening bell and The Hammer struggles to keep up with the high flyer. A neck crank sets up a perfect flying head scissors and Bastien small packages Valentine for the pin. Time: 0:20. dud
Ilio DiPaolo & Dick Hutton v. Jimmy & Johnny Valiant w/Captain Lou Albano Great heat for Albano and the Valiant Brothers as they make their way to the ring. Despite having never teamed before, the combination of Hutton & DiPaolo proves effective and battles hard against their more experienced opponents. DiPaolo nearly takes the win midway through the contest with an AIRPLANE SPIN on Jimmy Valiant but Johnny Valiant makes the save. Jimmy Valiant avoids a deathjump smash late in the bout and DiPaolo crashes hard to the mat. Valiant cannot get the pin however before the time limit expires. Time 5:00** ½ Brutus Beefcake is interviewed at ringside by Bill Apter in a Hot Seat segment and draws on the fans support telling Apter he was cheated tonight and issues an open challenge to face Ted DiBiase anytime, anywhere.
Playboy Buddy Rose v. Jimmy Snuka Rose demands that Garry Michael Cappetta announce him at 217 pounds rather than 271. Rose then shows off his athleticism with some push ups drawing heat from the fans. Snuka arrives to a thunderous ovation from the fans and goes to work with a dropkicks and backbreaker. Snuka mounts the corner for a SUPERFLY LEAP and it over just like that. Time: 0:22 dud
Bobo Brazil v. Johnny Valentine The card has been packed with fan favourites tonight but Brazil gets the loudest ovation so far as he stops and greets his fans on the way to the ring. Brazil is on fire tonight and picks up a couple of near falls before unleashing a series of COCO BUTTS. Greg Valentine joins the action to assist his father but Brazil dumps him to the floor and follows up with a final COCO BUTT for the win. Time: 1:00 *
LOW World Champion Frank Gotch v. Harley Race This one was epic. The exchange of counters left the fans breathless as the action flowed back and forth. Both men did serious colour after exchanging whips into the ring post. Gotch used a solid mat game to pick up a couple of near falls but was not able to lock in the GOTCH TOE HOLD. Race used his head, literally, with a series of head butts and worked the neck throughout the bout leading to a PILEDRIVER late in the contest but Gotch found a way to lift his shoulder at the last second. The match spilled to the floor and Gotch clocked Race with his title belt earning a disqualification Time: 7:07 ****
News and views: A wild finish to a solid main event tonight. For his part, Gotch was not in the mood for apologies after the match saying he will do whatever it takes to keep the LOW title around his waist and he was sure Race will do whatever he can to take it from him. Gotch finished by telling Bill Apter he did not care what the fans thought about it either . . . Bobo Brazil was looking for a potential tag team partner tonight to challenge the Valentines on a future card. Brazil told Bill Apter that he was not messing around or taking any chances of interference again and wanted both Valentines where he could see them next time he stepped into the ring against them . . . Next card will take place at the Fieldhouse in Hamburg PA and will feature the following bouts
• King Kong Bundy takes on the Hardcore Icon The Sandman in singles competition • Nature Boy Buddy Rogers faces the favourite of the ladies, Buff Bagwell • In a battle of the big men, Ox Baker challenges the Japanese Champion Giant Baba • Nick Bockwinkel will have Bobby Heenan in his corner when he faces Killer Kowalski • A classic feud could be reborn when Destroyer steps into the ring with Gorgeous George • In the main event, LOW Tag Team Champions Road Warriors but the titles up against the Foreign Legion

LOW @ Hamburg, PA - Fieldhouse – Card 2
King Kong Bundy w/Bobby Heenan v. The Sandman Heenan draws a great weasel chant before the bell and Bundy is out to give it to the fans at ringside. Sandman has the fans roaring as he batters Bundy all over the ring with punches, forearms and stomps while Heenan loses his mind on the floor. The action spills outside and Bundy is able to gain the upper hand with his size and when the match goes back inside, he crushes Sandman with an AVALANCHE for the five count. It is Bundy’s only offensive move of the match but it is enough. Time: 1:32. *
Buff Bagwell v. Buddy Rogers Great heat for the Nature Boy as he comes to the ring. Bagwell has the support of the kids and woman at ringside. The momentum went back and forth from the outset with neither competitor able to get anything going for any length of time. Both men pick up one pin attempt each and the time limit expires. Rogers is clearly not pleased with himself after the match. Time: 5:00 dud
Playboy Buddy Rose is interviewed on the Hot Seat with Bill Apter and brags about his superior conditioning and how he is the best junior heavyweight the industry has ever seen. He shows us some jumping jacks and then while out of breath challenges Jimmy Snuka to a rematch on the next card. Classic stuff. Ox Baker v. Giant Baba Most of this one takes place at ringside as Baker jumps the Japanese Champion at ringside. Both men eat the ring post and do colour. The end comes rather quickly when Baker attempts a deathjump but Baba rolls clear and crashes to the mat leading to the pin. Time: 0:51 * ½
Killer Kowalski v. Nick Bockwinkel w/Bobby Heenan Battle of the heels is next. The fans are all over Heenan again with a weasel chant. Kowalski looks a real powerhouse early on and Heenan is once again losing his him. Bockwinkel kicks out of several covers and survives a CLAW HOLD. Kowalski continues to dominate but cannot get anywhere near a pin before time expires at 5:00 ** ½
The Destroyer v. Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupré There is a great history between these two. The fans give huge heat for George as he “prepares” for action at ringside. George attacks Destroyer from behind and keeps the dirty tactics going throughout the match. Destroyer shows he can bend the rules as well with a poke to the eyes. Dupré trips up Destroyer from outside the ring and the masked competitor goes after her at ringside. George goes to the floor as well and runs Destroyer head first into the ringside rails. The referee has seen enough and disqualified George. After the match, George continues the beat down at ringside but Destroyer comes back and chases his opponent to the back. Time: 1:13 *
LOW Tag Team Title Match - Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) (ch) w/Paul Ellering v. Foreign Legion (Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff) w/Nikita Breznikov Volkoff grabs the mic and sings the Russian Anthem drawing intense heat from ringside. The champions cut off Volkoff from this corner from the outset and dominate the action. The Warriors hit the DOOMSDAY DEVICE and Animal blocks Sheik from making the pin save but Breznikov causes a distraction and the action continues. Volkoff gets trapped in the ropes and Hawk hammers away on the big Russian. The referee steps in and Hawk shoves the official to the mat earning himself a disqualification. The Foreign Legion comes away with a victory without having a single offensive move the entire match. After the match, the Warriors continue the assault but Breznikov and Sheik are able to drag Volkoff from the ring before he is injured. Time: 1:28 *
News and Views: An argument can be made for a rematch from every match tonight . . . I had originally had the idea of billing Giant Baba as the Japanese Champion and having him appear on the Hot Seat and issue a challenge to Frank Gotch for a Champion v. Champion match at a big arena show (somewhere like the Capital Center, Boston Garden, MSG etc) and had Baba destroyed Baker I would have featured the interview segment immediately after the match. However, since Baker v. Baba was a competitive match I decided to go with the dice and spin them off into a short series of matches. My plan was to use Baba for a few cards and them bring him back from time to time as he would have commitments in Japan as well . . . Next card will take place at the Embassy Hall in North Bergen, NJ, and will feature the following bouts
• Brutus Beefcake gets his rematch against Ted DiBiase
• In a special Challenge Match, Paul Ellering faces Nikita Breznikov
• At the request of Playboy Buddy Rose, he steps into the ring with Jimmy Snuka in a return match from Card 1
• In a special tag team attraction, the father and son team of Greg & Johnny Valentine take on the combination of Bobo Brazil & Red Bastien
• In the main event, LOW Champions Frank Gotch face Harley Race in a rematch from Card 1

Thanks aceldamas. Rose is a great character.
LOW @ North Bergen, NJ - Embassy Hall – Card 3
Brutus Beefcake v. Ted DiBiase w/Virgil
Huge heat for DiBiase who is flashing his cash at ringside. Some controversy in this one when the referee goes down from Beefcake’s deathjump and is out from some time (8 moves). Beefcake dominates the action including getting some blows in on Virgil at ringside much to the pleasure of the fans. Beefcake has DiBiase locked in a sleeper hold when the referee recovers and disqualifies Beefcake for knocking him out with a deathjump. The fans are not pleased as Virgil drags a dazed Million Dollar Man from ringside. Time: 1:28. *
Nikita Breznikov v. Paul Ellering Both these men are known for their managing abilities but tonight we get to see what they can do in the ring. Ellering dominates this one from bell to bell. The Foreign Legion come to ringside as Ellering has their manager trapped in a FULL NELSON but officials are ready and escort Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff from ringside straight into the waiting Road Warriors starting a wild brawl that spills back to the dressing room. The match ends when Breznikov falls to the floor and cannot answer the 10 count. Time: 2:47. **
Playboy Buddy Rose v. Jimmy Snuka Rose demanded another match with the Superfly but likely wished he hadn’t early on taking a series of chops and a piledriver from the Snuka. Rose avoids a tackle in the corner and scores a near fall. Rose decks Snuka with a foreign object and the Superfly falls to the floor. Rose comes out after Snuka who is busted open and Snuka gets control of what appears to be taped brass knuckles and decks Rose at ringside. The referee calls for the disqualification as both men brawl. Officials pile into ringside and pull the two men apart. Snuka is enraged as Rose flees ringside with a win under her belt. Time: 0:59. * ½ Jimmy Snuka cuts an awesome promo with Bill Apter at ringside as part of a Hot Seat segment. Snuka is bleeding profusely as he tells Playboy Buddy Rose no one on earth gets away with spilling the blood of the Superfly. Red Bastien & Bobo Brazil v. Greg & Johnny Valentine The ovation for the team of Brazil & Bastien was off the charts as was the action in the ring. All four men really had the chance to show their stuff as the action went back and forth the entire match. With time running out, Brazil hot tagged in against Johnny Valentine and unleashed three COCO BUTTS in the final moments of the match but could not get the three count before the time limit expired. Time: 5:00 **** ½
LOW World Champion Frank Gotch v. Harley Race A mixed reaction for the Champion as news of his actions in Allentown have obviously reached New Jersey. Once again both men counter well early on. The action starts to go in and out of the ring and Race runs the Champions face first into the steel rails busting Gotch open. The referee makes a quick disqualification call and Gotch retains. The fans are not pleased with the result and fill the ring with trash as Gotch is announced the winner. Time: 1:03. dud
A couple of hot feuds are beginning to develop as Jimmy Snuka conflict with Playboy Buddy Rose turned bloody tonight. As well, Bobo Brazil and Red Bastien’s bout with the Valentines stole the show so promoters will be looking to sign more action between these two teams in the coming cards . . . Harley Race came up short tonight but LOW officials were quick to announce that he will get another opportunity at the Title. That bout has been signed for Card 5 in West Orange, New Jersey . . . The next card will take place at the Civic Center in Glen Falls, NY, and will feature the following bouts
• Nature Boy Buddy Rogers will look for a better result than a draw when he faces Buff Bagwell in a rematch from Card 2 • King Kong Bundy looks to continue his winning ways when he meets Ilio DiPaolo • The Destroyer looks to gain some revenge against Gorgeous George • In a rematch of the big men, Japanese Champion Giant Baba takes on Ox Baker • Killer Kowalski battles Nick Bockwinkel after wrestling to a draw on Card 2 • In the main event, Tag Team Champion Road Warrior Hawk squares off against Iron Sheik in singles action

LOW @ Glens Falls, NY - Civic Center – Card 4
Buddy Rogers v. Buff Bagwell Rogers draws fantastic heat as he struts before the match. Bagwell mimics him and the fans eat it up. Last time these two battled to a surprizing time limit draw but the Nature Boy has different plans tonight and dominates from the bell. A FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE quickly ends things. Time: 0:18. Dud
King Kong Bundy w/Bobby Heenan v. Ilio DiPaolo The fans are all over Heenan and Bundy early on with a weasel chant. DiPaolo counters Bundy’s strength by working the legs for most of match. He traps Bundy in a figure four leglock (ch) in the middle of the ring for the stunning win. Time: 1:46 *
The Destroyer v. Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupré George takes a long time to actually step into the ring and works the crowd for epic heat. Once we get underway the match is very evenly paced. George manages to survive a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Dupré earns some heat of her own when she trips up Destroyer from the floor. With time running down, Destroyer locks in an intelligent sleeper hold but George is able to make it to the ropes to stay alive. The bout goes to the floor and both men refuse to stop brawling. Having lost control, the referee disqualifies both men. Security arrives to break things up. Time: 4:58 ***
Greg Valentine and Johnny Valentine are interviewed on the Hot Seat and run down Bobo Brazil and Red Bastien calling them nothing but show offs. The Hammer calls both Brazil and Bastien an embarrassment to profession wrestling and that they have had an easy road until they crossed the Valentine. Johnny Valentine tells Apter that he has conquered the federations around the globe but he has unfinished work. He won’t stop until Bastien and Brazil are out of professional wrestling for good. Giant Baba v. Ox Baker A couple of the LOW’s larger competitors battled next. Baba quickly traps Baker in a figure four leglock (ch) that forces him to the floor. Baba comes out after him and they tear up ringside. The referee comes out but Baba chops down the official and goes after his opponent. The bell sounds and Baba has been disqualified. Time: 0:23 dud
Killer Kowalski v. Nick Bockwinkel w/Bobby Heenan Another solid match up between two of the most hated men in the LOW. Kowalski gains the early advantage picking up a couple of near falls. Bockwinkel eats the ring post and wears the crimson mask. Heenan looks very concerned at ringside but Bockwinkel turns things around winning a brawl on the floor. Bockwinkel then works the leg including a series of FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK and eventually gets the win when Kowalski blacks out in the middle of the ring. Time: 4:47. *** ½
Road Warrior Hawk w/Paul Ellering v. Iron Sheik w/Nikita Breznikov Sheik gets on the mic and tells what he thinks of Americans and the Road Warriors earning epic heat. The match has a very quick pace from the opening bell. Hawk nearly ends it early with a FLYNIG CLOTHESLINE. Sheik works the shoulder sending the Road Warrior into the ring post twice. Sheik misses a deathjump and crashes to the mat but Breznikov is able to distract the official so Hawk cannot get the pin. The bout ends at ringside when Sheik decks Hawk with his own title belt earning a disqualification. It is bedlam after the bell. Sheik grabs a chair and rams it into Hawk’s shoulder while Breznikov and Ellering brawl. Road Warrior Animal and Nikolai Volkoff join the battle followed quickly by security who do their best to break things up. Time 2:19 ***
The big news out of tonight’s action surrounds the LOW Tag Team Champions and a potential injury to Hawk following his battle against Iron Sheik. Although Paul Ellering has been tight lipped on the subject, sources close to the Warrior camp have told Bill Apter Hawk suffered an “upper body injury” that is expected to impact him for at least two cards . . . LOW officials have levied a one card suspension against Giant Baba for striking a LOW official . . . After tonight’s match, it is obvious that Gorgeous George and The Destroyer have no love for one another . . . The next card will take place at the South Mountain Arena in West Orange, NJ, and will feature the following bouts. • Brutus Beefcake continues to look for some revenge against the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase when they clash in singles action • Dick Hutton & Illio DiPaolo face the Valiant Brothers in a rematch from card 1 • Bobo Brazil meets Greg Valentine • Jimmy Snuka continues his war against Playboy Buddy Rose • Red Bastien steps into the ring with Johnny Valentine • LOW World Champion Frank Gotch defends against Harley Race in the main event

LOW @ West Orange, NJ – South Mountain Arena – Card 5
Brutus Beefcake v. Ted DiBiase The Million Dollar Man shows up on crutches and provides a document to Garry Michael Cappetta that Cappetta reads to the fans. DiBiase is not medically cleared to compete do to a lower body injury. The fans are not pleased and neither is Beefcake. Beefcake grabs the mic and tells the fans that if DiBiase cannot compete than Virgil will have to do. Beefcake goes on the attack and the bell sounds. Beefcake is all over Virgil but cannot get the win after a FLYING KNEE SMASH. The action goes to the floor and Beefcake decks DiBiase with one of his own crutches. Virgil checks on his employer and loses track of the referee’s count and is counted out of the ring. Time: 0:36. *
Dick Hutton & Ilio DiPaolo v. Jimmy & Johnny Valiant w/Captain Lou Albano These two teams battled to a draw on the first LOW card. Hutton nearly steals the win in the opening moments with a roll up in the corner against Johnny Valiant. The Valiant Brothers recovery and Jimmy Valiant crushes Hutton with a SUPER ELBOW for a 2 count before they finish him off with a TOP ROPE ELBOW moments later. DiPaolo never sees any action. Time: 1:19. *
Greg Valentine v. Bobo Brazil Huge ovation for Brazil as he makes his way to the ring. The fans expected some intense action and were not disappointed. Valentine is busted open early on off a ram into the ring post but manages to kick out after a COCO BUTT. The Hammer comes back and twice has Brazil trapped in a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK but cannot get the win. The action goes in and out of the ring with plenty of brawling until Brazil runs Valentine into the ring post again and this time he is disqualified. Both men brawl. Johnny Valentine & Red Bastien join the battle and security is needed to pull the combatants apart. Time: 3:16. ** ½ Jimmy Snuka v. Playboy Buddy Rose Rose demands to be announced at 217 pounds rather than 271 pounds drawing jeers from ringside. The jeers turn to cheers as the Superfly comes to the ring. Snuka dominated this one from bell to bell with exception of a few brief moments midway through the match. A SUPERFLY LEAP ends it. Time: 1:50. *
Johnny Valentine v. Red Bastien There is extreme tension in the air before the bell sounds and both men became involved in the aftermath of the Brazil – Greg Valentine bout earlier. Valentine attempts to contain Bastien early on but the high flyer is able to execute a flying head scissors to get back into the action. The match goes to the floor and Valentine runs Bastien into the ring side rails. Bastien does wicked colour and Valentine quickly capitalizes with an ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER. Valentine grabs a chair from ringside and unleashes a further attack on Bastien. Bobo Brazil arrives but is chased down by Greg Valentine. Valentine smashed the chair into Bastien several times before Brazil is able to get clear of The Hammer and clear the ring with his own chair. Time: 0:56 *
LOW Champion Frank Gotch v. Harley Race Race ha the champion in trouble early on but cannot get Gotch to the mat for a three count. Gotch mounts an impressive comeback working the leg with a series of figure four leglocks (ch) and rolling knee bars really punishing the challenger. Gotch is not able to make use of the GOTCH TOE HOLD however and Race, despite being busted open earlier, makes his own comeback. Race connects with a swinging neckbreaker at ringside that leaves both men dazed and when the action returns to the ring, Race plants Gotch with a PILEDRIVER to win the title. Time: 3:00 *** ½
Congratulations to Harley Race on becoming the new LOW World Champion with an impressive comeback victor over Frank Gotch . . . LOW @ St. Louis, MO - Kiel Auditorium – Card 6
Dean Malenko* v. El Hijo del Santo* Great ovation for both men and a handshake gets things started. The pace is very quick to start this one as you would expect between these two. Malenko sends del Santo spilling to the floor with a backdrop in the corner but the referee does not call for the disqualification ruling that del Santo’s own momentum carried him over the ropes. Del Santo comes up limping and Malenko takes full advantage with a TEXAS CLOVERLEAF for the win. Time: 0:41 *
Team Blondage (Krissy Vaine & Amber O’Neal) v. Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew (Lacey & Rain) Ladies action is up next. The Wrecking Crew are able to cut off Amber O’Neal early on but she takes two IMPLANT DDTs from Lacey and kicks out each time. Rain sends O’Neal to the floor but O’Neal drags her outside and whips her into the ring post. The referee calls for the disqualification. The action continues after the bell and O’Neal plants Rain at ringside with an STO. Rain needs medical assistance leaving ringside. Time: 1:08 *
LOW Champion Harley Race v. Adrian Adonis* This was a special non-title attraction. Adonis gets into it with Gary Michael Cappetta but Harley Race arrives to make the save and tears into his opponent before the bell. It is all Race in and out of the ring with headbutts, knees and suplexes until he ends it with a PILEDRIVER. Adonis has zero offense. Time: 0:49 dud
Rock N Roll Express (Rick Morton* & Robert Gibson*) v. Wild Samoans (Afa* & Sika*) w/Captain Lou Albano The Express are one of the most beloved teams of all time and the ovation is off the charts as they come to the ring especially from the ladies. The fans are not pleased when the Samoans cut off Robert Gibson from this corner and work him over with a series of bites, chops and tackles. A double team headbutt has Gibson seeing stars before Afa puts him away with a SAMOAN DROP while Sika blocks Morton’s pin save attempt. Dominating win for the Samoans. Time: 1:42 *
Dusty Rhodes* v. Abdullah The Butcher* Is there anyone more popular than the American Dream? Everyone expected a blood bath in this one but Rhodes was on fire from the outset and dominated the action which mainly stayed in the ring. Abdullah was clearly outmatched tonight and was never able to dip into his bag of tricks to turn things around. Rhodes gets the win after a huge shoulder smash. Time: 2:37. * ½ Missouri Champion Bruno Sammartino* v. Superstar Billy Graham* These two feuded all over the North East and know each other well. Bruno gets a huge ovation as he comes to the ring. Graham really took the battle to the Champion early on especially outside the ring. The referee seemed content to let things go and soon Sammartino was a bloody mess. With the fans cheering him on Sammartino made his comeback with some big haymarkes and body slams. Sammartino busted Graham open at ringside and then ended the match as time was running down with an ITALIAN BACK BREAKER. Time: 4:31 ***
NWA World Champion Lou Thesz* v. Edward Carpentier*
A handshake gets us started and this one has the making of a classic. The counters are unbelievable early on. Thesz scores with a double wrist lock and transitions into a STF but Carpentier is able to get out. The match goes to the floor and both men reverse each others whips and Thesz goes shoulder first into the ring post. The referee calls for the bell and disqualifies Carpentier. Both men protest the decision but the referee remains firm and the match is over. The fans are not pleased but Thesz gets on the mic and tells Carpentier he can have a rematch next time the NWA returns to St. Louis. Time: 0:48. *
* Cynthia Celeste Miller bootleg version
The fans were disappointed by the main event tonight but at least went home with the knowledge that the NWA would be bringing back Thesz and Carpentier for a rematch at the next St. Louis card . . . Given the number of one sided matches tonight, the Sammartino – Graham war really stood out as the match of the night . . . Rain suffered concussion type symptoms after the ladies tag team action tonight and is expected to miss two cards of action as one of the hottest feuds in woman’s wrestling continues to heat up . . . The next card will take place at The Bank Street Armory in Fall River, Ma and will feature the following bouts. • King Kong Bundy looks to get one back from Ilio DiPaolo
• Gorgeous George takes on his nemesis The Destroyer
• In a battle of the big men, Japanese Champion Giant Baba battles Ox Baker
• In what some are calling a number one contenders match, Nature Boy Buddy Rogers faces Nick Bockwinkel
• LOW Champion Harley Race continues his busy schedule when he defends against former Champion Frank Gotch in the main event

Nice fed, bookerbill. That St. Louis card was a lot of fun and boy do I wish we had some of those bootlegs as official cards. I definitely would like to see a Thesz vs. Carpentier rematch.

LOW @ Fall River, MA - Bank St. Armory – Card 7
King Kong Bundy w/Bobby Heenan v. Ilio DiPaolo Last time these two met DiPaolo came out the winner. Tonight he has the fans on his side once again as ringside fills with a great weasel chant before the bell. DiPaolo once again dominates the big man in the ring and Bundy shows his frustration when he drags DiPaolo to the floor and whips him into the ring post. The referee calls for the disqualification and the Italian fan favourite has two in a row over Bundy. Time: 1:06 dud
The Destroyer v. Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupré The heat for George is off the charts as he prepares at ringside. They trade moves early on before Destroyer goes on an impressive offensive run with a series of single leg Boston Crabs and a deathjump clothesline. George kicks out after a sensational suplex and the action goes outside. Destroyer hits a bombs away kneedrop at ringside! The fans are on their feet as George is counted out of the ring. George is not finished however as he attacks Destroyer from behind and then sprays Dupré’s perfume into Destroyer’s eyes. Security arrives to break things up followed by the medical team to attend to Destroyer who is obvious pain. (3 cards) Time: 1:17 * ½ Ox Baker v. Giant Baba The Japanese Champions comes out to a solid ovation from ringside. Baba completely dominated this one from start to finish. Baker did colour off the ringside rails before Baba put him away with a Russian legsweep. Baker has no offense the entire match. Time: 1:01 dud
Giant Baba is interviewed at ringside by Bill Apter as the Hot Seat makes its return. Baba talks about the match tonight between Buddy Rogers and Nick Bockwinkel being called a battle of the top contenders. However, Baba points out that he is the Japanese Champion and that he should be the top contender. Buddy Rogers v. Nick Bockwinkel w/Bobby Heenan Both wrestlers have yet to taste defeat in the LOW. Ringside is buzzing during the introductions. Rogers is the clear aggressor from the outset and controls the action in the ring. He cannot get close to getting a pin or submission however before the action goes to the floor. Rogers shows his frustration when he shoves the referee to floor during the brawl and earns himself a disqualification. Rogers grabs the referee by the shirt after the bell and then tosses him to the floor again. Time: 1:48 **
LOW Champion Harley Race v. Frank Gotch Gotch is determined from the outset to keep the match on the mat and has some early success. Race is able to turn things around with a headbutt and vertical suplex. A chokeslam (ch) nearly ends it before Race plants the challenger with a PILDRIVER to retain the title in convincing fashion.
