The Road Warriors vs. Fuju/Saito will be something for the titles if it works out.
Poor Red Bastien... he seems pretty overmatched... hope he gets some help!

Thanks for commenting WF. A Road Warriors vs Fuji/Saito match would be an interesting bout should to come to that. As far as Red Bastien goes....it's wrestling....the good guys will always have help....after they try and go it alone and get the stuffing beaten out of them. If you can't already tell, Bockwinkel vs Bastein and Williams vs Valentine are my marque feuds at the moment and should be for the next few months if the dice cooperate.

GCCW #14 Municipal Auditorium; Pensacola, FL; 16 Jan 2015
Tonight, the title tournaments are in the Semi-Final stages.... Red Bastien squares off against Heenan Family member, Ray Stevens....and in the HUGE main event, Nick Bockwinkel defends the GCCW championship against Steve Williams.
--Angelo Poffo def. Koko B. Ware by pinfall. Both make their GCCW debuts as Poffo has plenty of trouble putting Koko away. Koko survived an early onslaught and hits the GHOSTBUSTER but Poffo is able to get a foot on the ropes before the 3-count. Referee, Tommy Hatcher misses a blatant low blow by Poffo while Koko is in the corner. Poffo hits his NECKBREAKER finisher for the victory. Afterwards, Poffo roughs the semi-conscious Ware up and slaps him across the face several times before dumping him to the arena floor. --Hacksaw Jim Duggan/Butch Miller/Luke Williams def. Dan Spivey/George Steele/Warlord by pinfall. The old "Card Subject To Change" clause came into play here for the 1st time tonight as Dan Spivey replaced Ox Baker in the match. The Bushwackers came out doing their "wacky" entrance which the kids in attendance loved. The action went fast once the match got started. Duggan pummeled Spivey to start and as Spivey went to tag George 'The Animal' Steele, George was too busy eating the turnbuckle. Spivey turned around right into Duggan's FLYING SPEAR for the finish. --The Vachons w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink def. Bob/Brad Armstrong w/ BG James by pinfall. The "Card Subject To Change" clause came into play again as Humperdink explained he couldn't get visas for the Mongols, so he called up a couple of old friends to take their spots in his faction. Referee, Tommy Hatcher had the not-so envious job of trying to keep order in this one. Humperdink was admonished several times for trying to help the Vachons out of sticky situations which caused BG to chase Humperdink aeound ringside. In a cleverly laid trap, Mad Dog leveled BG with his chains as BG chased Humperdink, taking BG out of the match. The finish saw Humperdink blast Bob Armstrong with a pair of brass knuckles as the Hatcher was admonishing Mad Dog. Bob staggered back into an illegal abdominal stretch by the Vachons and was pinned by Mad Dog as Humperdink held Bob's feet during the count. --GCCW Tag Title Tournament Semi-Final: Mr Fuji/Mr Saito def. Tommy Rich/Tracy Smothers by pinfall. The crowd was solidly behind the Wild-Eyed Southern Boys and roundly booed every the foreigners gained some momentum. Fuji/Saito attacked at the bell and Saito bloodied Smothers with a wooden shoe as Fuji and Rich were being hustled back to their corners. Smothers was in a bad way early on but survived several nearfalls. Smothers makes the hot tag to Rich who goes all "wildfire" on Saito/Fuji. Rich hits the THESZ PRESS on Saito but Fuji is the legal man. This momentary distraction allows Fuji to regain control of the match and this time the evil Japanese duo punish Wildfire. Tommy musters the strength to make the tag to Smothers, who is chomping at the bit to get back in the ring. Smothers tosses Mr Fuji over the top rope before dropping Mr Saito with the JAWJACKER! However, Fuji throws salt in Smothers' eyes and Saito bashes Smothers with a steel chair as the referee is admonishing Fuji for his transgressions. This leads to the 3-count and Mr Fuji/Mr Saito advance to the tournament finals. --GCCW US Title Tournament Semi-Final: Rick Rude def. Mike Graham by pinfall.Mike Graham has had an impressive run during the tournament so far and took the fight to the match favorite, Rick Rude. However, Graham would get distracted by Tammy Lynn Sytch's charms and get blindsided by Chris Candido. This would lead to Rude hitting a swing neckbreaker for the finish. Rude advances to the tournament finals. --Special Challenge Match: Ray Stevens def. Red Bastien by pinfall.Red Bastien asked for this match after getting beat up and bloodied by Nick Bockwinkel and Ray Stevens before his match with Bobby Heenan last week. Heenan was at ringside for this one and made sure to keep the referee distracted so Stevens could bend the rules. When that didn't work and Bastien was getting the better of Stevens, Heenan called for reinforcements from the back and out walked Ox Baker. Baker entered the ring, turned the unsuspecting Bastien around, and blasted him with the HEART PUNCH. Bastien went down as if he was shot, allowing Stevens to cover Red for the finish. Heenan celebrated with Stevens and Baker as EMTs tended to Bastien afterwards. --GCCW Tag Title Tournament Semi-Final: Finlay/David Taylor def. the Road Warriors by DISQUALIFICATION.The Road Warriors came into this match looking unstoppable and continued their brutal run in this one. Hawk and Animal landed the DOOMSDAY DEVICE on Taylor but refused to pin him. With Finlay out on the floor, the Road Warriors prepared for another DOOMSDAY DEVICE that would have sent Taylor to the arena floor from the ring apron. Even though the referee admonished them not to perform the move a 2nd time, Hawk and Animal sent Taylor crashing to the floor with the move. The ref promptly DQ's the Road Warriors, sending Finlay/Taylor to the tournament finals. However, Taylor landed awkwardly on his leg and had to be helped to the back. It remains to be seen how this will play into the finals. --GCCW US Title Tournament Semi-Final: Terry Gordy def. The Destroyer by pinfall. The Destroyer, a long-time holder of the PWF United States title, came into the tournament looking to add another US title to his impressive resume. However, it wasn't to be as Gordy won a hard fought match with the PILEDRIVER. Destroyer didn't go away without a fight as he nearly scored the win with several nearfalls but in the end, Gordy proved to be too much on this night. Afterwards, the two warriors shook hands to an appreciative crowd. Gordy advances to the tournament finals. --MAIN EVENT: GCCW Championship: Nick Bockwinkel def. Steve Williams by pinfall to retain the title. This was Bockwinkel's 1st title defense after being awarded the belt for winning th Champion's Carnival over Doctor Death. Williams had beaten Johnny Valentine to earn another shot at Bockwinkel and had to know that somewhere an angry Valentine was lurking. The match was even early on with Heenan giving Bockwinkel a slight advantage with his presence at ringside. When Heenan jumps onto the ring apron, Bockwinkel takes advantage and clips William's leg from behind and starts working Doc over. Bockwinkel's FIGURE-FOUR LEGLOCK has Williams in trouble but Doc is able to get to the ropes to break the hold. Bockwinkel keeps this method of attack going and soon has Williams hobbled. However, Doc musters up enough reserve to fight back with a huge Doctor Bomb for a nearfall. Williams lands a Backdrop Driver for another huge nearfall that brought the fans from their seats in anticipation of a title change. Doc keeps up the barrage and drops Bockwinkel with the OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE! However, Johnny Valentine makes an appearance causing Doc to chase Valentine around ringside. As order was being restored by referee, Speedy Hatfield, Bockwinkel capitalized and pins Williams with a quick roll-up and a handful of tights to ensure victory. *Next week, we roll into New Orleans, Louisiana where the Municipal Auditorium hosts GCCW action. Rick Rude will meet Terry Gordy in the GCCW US title tournament finals on January 30th but next week will see them on opposite sides of the ring in tag action. Rude teams with Chris Candido to face Gordy and his tag team partner, Tommy Gilbert. *Billy 'Red' Lyons has entered GCCW and has called out the Heenan Family for their attack on his long time tag partner, Red Bastien. Bastien was not cleared by doctors to wrestle next week after taking that vicious HEART PUNCH from Ox Baker. Lyons enters the territory and faces Ray Stevens next week. Lyons promises to have backup if any of the Heenan Family interferes in the match. *Antonio Inoki starts his Power-10 Series next week against perennial fan favorite, Magnum TA. Magnum looks to rebound after losing to Terry Gordy in the GCCW US title quarterfinals. *Your big Main Event is the Finals of the GCCW tag title tournament. Mr Fuji/Mr Saito battle Finlay/David Taylor for the belts. However, Taylor's medical status is unknown after landing awkwardly on his leg after being hit with the DOOMSDAY DEVICE by the Road Warriors that sent him tumbling to the arena floor. ....See you next week in New Orleans....

GCCW #15 Municipal Auditorium, New Orleans, LA; 23 Jan 2015
....We have a HUGE match added to tonight's card as GCCW Board of Directors and promoter, 'Cowboy' Bob Kelly, decided Steve Williams will face Johnny Valentine again to determine the #1 Contender for the GCCW Championship. Also on the card, Antonio Inoki's Power-10 Series starts tonight as he faces Magnum TA and in your Huge Main Event, the finals of the GCCW Tag Title Tournament as Mr Saito/Mr Fuji face an injured David Taylor and Finlay. Let's go to the ring....--Match #1: Angelo Poffo/JJ Dillion def. Koko B. Ware/Jake Milliman by pinfall. The match was never in doubt but Poffo/Dillon toyed with Ware/Milliman, pulling them up at 2-counts after certain match finishers. Poffo/Dillon were more into embarassing their opponents by smacking them across the face and mocking them every chance they got. Finally, Dillon dropped the ELBOW DROP on Milliman for the finish. --Match #2: The Bushwackers def. George Steele/Warlord by pinfall. The Bushwackers again come out to their funky entrance and dance with the kids at ringside. The match was quick as Butch Miller/Luke Williams caught Warlord with a double tackle (aka 'sneaky tag team move') and George was too busy eating the turnbuckle to make the save. --Match #3: Hacksaw Jim Duggan def. Dan Spivey by pinfall.Spivey asked for this match after Duggan pinned him last week with Duggan's FLYING SPEAR. Spivey tried to jump Duggan before the bout but Duggan started swinging his 2X4 and Spivey bailed from the ring. Spivey enjoyed the early advantage once the match the started but Duggan slowly gained control as the match went on. Spivey was able to kick out after Duggan's FLYING SPEAR but a second FLYING SPEAR put Spivey down for the 3-count. --Match #4: Rick Rude/Chris Candido w/ Tammy Lynn Sytch def. Terry Gordy/Tommy Gilbert by pinfall. This match saw the two finalists in the GCCW United States Title Tournament next week face off in tag team action. Rick Rude avoided Terry Gordy throughout the match as everytime Tommy Gilbert tagged in Gordy and Rude was in the ring, Rude would promptly tag out to Candido. The fans booed Rude heavily who got on the house mike and told the booing crowd that if they wanted to see him face off with Gordy, then they would have to buy a ticket for next week. Gordy and Gilbert manhandled Candido throughout the match but Rude and Sytch would make saves to keep Candido in the match. Finally, with Candido and Gilbert the legal men and referee, Joe Powell, trying to keep Gordy from chasing Rude around ringside, Sytch blasted Gilbert with her LOADED PURSE and Candido covered Gilbert for the pinfall. Gordy went after Candido but he and Sytch bailed from the ring as Rude, Candido, and Sytch taunted Gordy from the aisle. --Match #5: Ray Stevens w/ the Heenan Family def. Billy 'Red' Lyons by pinfall.Billy 'Red' Lyons called out Ray Stevens after the Heenan Family jumped Red Bastien last week. Heenan's new enforcer, Ox Baker, was at ringside and interfered throughout the match. Lyons is a tough character to out away and took a huge beating from Stevens and the Heenan Family throughout the match. Lyons would try and fight back and mounted several comebacks but they were short-lived as distractions from Heenan and cheap shots from Baker kept Lyons on the defensive. Finally, with Heenan distracting referee, Jack Arnold, Baker slipped into the ring and tried to drop Lyons with the HEART PUNCH, however, Lyons caught Baker in the SLEEPER HOLD to the delight of the crowd. Stevens caught Lyons with a pair of brass knuckles and dropped his BOMBS AWAY finisher on Lyons to get the tainted win. Afterwards, Stevens and Baker moved in for the kill but The Destroyer ran out from the back with a chair to chase the Heenan Family from ringside. --Match #6: Winner Gets GCCW title shot: Steve Williams vs Johnny Valentine went to a double countout. This match was added earlier this week to determine the #1 contender for Nick Bockwinkel's title. The GCCW Board of Directors decided that Williams and Valentine would face each other one more time to determine Bockwinkel's next opponent. This one was a slugfest from the start. Both Williams and Valentine showed they wanted the title shot but could not keep the other down long enough to register the 3-count. Valentine bloodied Williams with several ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHERS before Doc mounted a comeback. Williams caught Valentine with a lariat to start the comeback and finished with the OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE for a big nearfall. Doc waited for Valentine to get to his feet and charged for another OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE but Valentine ducked, pulling down the top rope in the process, causing Williams to fly over the top rope and crashed hard into the ringside barriers. Meanwhile, a groggy Valentine fall out of the ring as referee, Speedy Hatfield counted both men out. The Board of Directors and promoter, 'Cowboy' Bob Kelly, now have a big decision to make over the next week in regards to Bockwinkel's opponent in 2 weeks. --Match #7: Antonio Inoki's Power-10 Series: Magnum TA def. Antonio Inoki by pinfall. After his 'decent' Champion's Carnival, as Anontio Inoki described it to reporters, and his show-stealing time limit draw against Giant Baba, Inoki wanted to show he could face the Gulf Coast's best and come out with a winning record. Inoki started strong but Magnum responded and soon gained control of the match. Maybe it was jet lag or Inoki underestimated Magnum but Magnum caught Inoki after being thrown into the ropes with the BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX to give Inoki his 1st loss in the 1st match of his series. Inoki and Magnum shook hands afterwards as Inoki walked to the back with an embarrassed look on his face. --Match #8: Main Event: GCCW Tag Team Title Tournament Final: Mr Fuji/Mr Saito def. Finlay/David Taylor by submission to win the titles.David Taylor was advised by doctors not to wrestle this week but he was not about to let Finlay take on Mr Fuji/Mr Saito by himself. Finlay wrestled the majority of the match for his team and more than held his own against their devious opponents. However, eventually, Fuji/Saito were able to wear Finlay down and take control of the match. After being nearly blinded when Mr Fuji threw salt in his eyes, Finlay kicked out of pin attempts following two MIDDLE ROPE SPLASHES by Fuji. Somehow, Finlay was able to make a tag to David Taylor but the hobbled Englishman no match for Fuji/Saito. After consecutive Prison Deathlocks, Taylor succumbed to Saito's SCORPION DEATHLOCK for the finish. Aftrwards, Mr Fuji/Mr Saito kept up the attack but were chased from the ring by Tommy Rich/Tracy Smothers. Another action packed GCCW card is in the books and Mr Fuji/Mr Saito are your 1st-ever GCCW tag team champions. *Next week, we head east on I-10 to the Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Mississippi. Sir Oliver Humperdink has made a huge signing to augment his House of Humperdink stable. Bruiser Brody joins the Vachons and debuts next week. 2 Cold Scorpio/Marcus Alexander Bagwell square off against the Love Brothers in both teams debut as well. *After losing to Mr Fuji/Mr Saito two weeks ago by dubious means and keeping Fuji/Saito from administering further punishment to Finlay/David Taylor, Tommy Rich/Tracy Smothers will battle the new GCCW tag champions in singles action. Rich faces off against Mr Saito and Smothers squares off against Mr Fuji. *After their double countout tonight, Steve Williams and Johnny Valentine will battle each other again. This time in 6-man action as Doc partners with The Armstrongs and Valentine teams with The Vachons. *After his loss to Magnum TA, Antonio Inoki tries to rebound in his Power-10 Series. Next week, he faces 'Dangerous' Dan Spivey with both trying to get a win after a loss. *After getting beat down by the Heenan Family, Red Bastien and Billy 'Red' Lyons team up with The Destroyer to face the Heenan Family in the 2nd 6-man tag match of the card. Fans are especially clamoring for the heroes to get their hands on GCCW champion, Nick Bockwinkel. *Your big main event is the finals of the GCCW United States title tournament as Terry Gordy faces Rick Rude. After running from Gordy tonight, Rude has to lock horns with Gordy to win the title. Chris Candido and Tammy Lynn Sytch will be in Rude's corner. Will Gordy be able to overcome the odds and win the title? ....See You Next Week In Biloxi....

**GCCW Update**
GCCW Title Contenders Determined
--After Steve Williams and Johnny Valentine battled to double count-out at last week's show, GCCW officials and promoter, 'Cowboy' Bob Kelly have named them both #1 contenders and will receive the next two shots at the GCCW champion. Kelly stated Valentine will face champion, Nick Bockwinkel next week in Mobile, AL. Steve Williams will face whoever is the champion on 27 Feb 2015 in Houston, TX. Bockwinkel's manager, Bobby Heenan was not happy about these turn of events, saying there was no winner and Williams/Valentine should face each other again to determine the real #1 contender. However, Bob Kelly was not persuaded by Heenan's argument, saying both Valentine and Williams deserved title shots and both will get one. A frustrated Heenan promised he would have Bockwinkel ready and by the end of February will have defeated both men.

GCCW #16 Coast Coliseum; Biloxi, MS; 30 Jan 2015
....Welcome everyone to this week's edition of Gulf Coast Championship Wrestling from Biloxi, Mississippi. With the Northeast snowed in, it's a balmy 61 degrees in the 'Playground of the South' but the temperatures will hotter in the ring. Sir Oliver Humperdink introduces the newest member of his stable in Bruiser Brody. Steve Williams will continue his feud with Johnny Valentine; this time in 6-man tag action as Williams partners with The Armstrongs and Valentine teams with The Vachons. Another huge 6-man tag battle pits the Heenan Family against The Flying Redheads/The Destroyer and in your big Main Event, the 1st-ever GCCW United States Champion will be decided as Rick Rude faces Terry Gordy in the tournament final. Let's go to the action....--Match #1: Bruiser Brody w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink def. SD Jones by pinfall.Bruiser Brody completely dominated the match as Humperdink loudly proclaimed to anyone who would listen that he had Brody was the 'baddest man' in GCCW. Brody pulled Jones up after delivering a brutal running boot to the face and a crushing piledriver. Finally, Brody was finished toying with Jones and pinned him after the JUMPING KNEED DROP. --Match #2: JJ Dillon def. Koko B. Ware by pinfall.JJ Dillon continued his antagonizing antics by again trying to embarrass Koko B. Ware. Dillon repeatedly slapped Ware across the face and even got on the house mike to call Ware a habitual loser. Dillon would score the pinfall after his ELBOW DROP finisher, but the action continued after the bell, as Dillon kept up his antics. Tony Atlas came down to ringside and said he's watched Dillon and Angelo Poffo embarrass their opponents. Atlas said that stops right now and made a challenge to Dillon and Poffo to face him and Ware next week. --Match #3: 2 Cold Scorpio/Marcus Alexander Bagwell def. The Love Brothers by pinfall.Debuts by both teams as the fans loudly cheered Scorpio/Bagwell while loudly booing the 'California Hippies' Hartford/Reginald Love. 2 Cold Scorpio was the star of the match as he kept the Hippies off balance. Scorpio ends the match with THE DISS THAT DON'T MISS on Hartford Love. --Match #4: Mr Fuji def. Tracy Smothers by pinfall. The highly anticipated match between Mr Fuji/Mr Saito and Tracy Smothers/Tommy Rich for the GCCW tag titles is somewhere down the line in the next month or so but tonight Mr Fuji and Tracy Smothers went at each other with reckless abandon. Smothers took the action to the floor and battered Fuji, almost getting a countout win. However, Fuji turned the tide by throwing salt in the eyes of Smothers and dropped his MIDDLE ROPE SPLASH for the pinfall. --Match #5: Tommy Rich def. Mr Saito by submission. The other half of the tag title situation played itself out in this match with Rich squaring off against Mr Saito. This one was a quick match that say interference from Mr Fuji backfire and Rich put Saito to sleep with the SLEEPER. Afterwards, Tracy Smothers brawled with Mr Fuji around ringside before security could separate the two as EMTs tended to Mr Saito. --Match #6: Steve Williams/The Armstrongs def. Johnny Valentine/The Vachons by pinfall. The Steve Williams/Johnny Valentine feud continued in this one but Valentine wanted no part of Williams and did not see any action during the match. Williams stampede Mad Dog Vachon with the OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE in a quick match. However, as Williams was getting up from the pinfall, Valentine dropped the ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER on Doc. After a couple of more ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHERs, Williams was a bloody mess as The Vachons kept The Armstrongs at bay. Valentine took Williams to the arena floor and with an assist from Mad Dog, folded Doc in half with a brutal spike piledriver. Doc had to be stretchered out of the arena as this feud is definitely far from over. --Match #7: Power-10 Series: Antonio Inoki def. Dan Spivey by pinfall. Both Antonio Inoki and Dan Spivey are looking to rebound from less than stellar performances over the last few weeks. Inoki's loss to Magnum TA to start his Power-10 Series has not set well with Inoki and he looks to rebound here. Spivey's three glaring losses over the last few weeks to Hacksaw Jim Duggan has stopped that budding rivalry dead in its tracks. Spivey controlled most of the match with his power advantage but Inoki takes control after Spivey misses a turnbuckle charge. Inoki hits the ENZUIGIRI and goes 1-1 in his Power-10 Series. --Match #8: Red Bastien/Billy 'Red' Lyons/The Destroyer def. Ray Stevens/Ox Baker/Bobby Heenan by disqualification.Nick Bockwinkel was announced for the match but Bobby Heenan declared that he signed the contract and would be in the match. Heenan stated these peons in Biloxi doesn't deserve to see Nick Bockwinkel and once again, Heenan claimed to have gotten one over on promoter, 'Cowboy' Bob Kelly. The heroes didn't care if Bockwinkel was in the match or not as they went after Heenan and his goons with a vengeance. The finish saw Bastien in the ring with the reluctant Heenan as Stevens and Baker tried to save their manager from a sure beating. One by one, Bastien sent Stevens and Baker flying from the ring with a flying dropkick and a flying headscissors into the waiting fists of Lyons and Destroyer. Bastien moved in for the kill on Heenan but got blindsided by Nick Bockwinkel. Bockwinkel drilled Bastien with a steel chair in front of referee, Speedy Hatfield, and pulled Heenan to safety. --Match #9: Main Event/GCCW US Title Tourney Final: Rick Rude def. Terry Gordy by count-out to win the title.Terry Gordy was anxious to get his hands on Rick Rude after Rude ran from him during last week's tag team match. Gordy controlled from the onset but distractions from Chris Candido and Tammy Lynn Sytch kept Rude in the match. Twice Gordy seemed to end the match with POWERBOMBs but Candido jumped on the ring apron to break up the count. Gordy hauled Rude up for the PILEDRIVER but once again Candido saved Rude with a distraction. Finally, Gordy had had enough and chased Candido around ringside. Referee, Speedy Hatfield finally confronted Candido and ordered him to the back but the distraction allowed Sytch to nail Gordy with her LOADED PURSE on the floor. Rude grabbed Gordy and delivered a devastating RUDE AWAKENING on the floor as well and Gordy was counted out. Rude, Candido, and Sytch celebrated with the belt afterwards to large jeers from the fans. 'Cowboy' Bob Kelly got a loud cheer when he marched to ringside as the fans anticipated him declaring a rematch between Rude and Gordy. However, Kelly announced Rude as the champion and that Gordy would get a rematch for the title on February 20th. **There you have it, fans, another card packed with hard-hitting action and intrigue. Rick Rude is your new GCCW US champion. The Steve Williams/Johnny Valentine feud has definitely intensified as well has the Nick Bockwinkel/Red Bastien rivalry. **Next week's card had to be moved to the bigger Civic Center in Mobile, Alabama to accommodate the overflow crowd expected to see Nick Bockwinkel defend the GCCW title against Johnny Valentine in your HUGE MAIN EVENT. Valentine sent his rival, Steve Williams, to the hospital because...according to Valentine...he didn't want Williams interfering in his match with Bockwinkel. Bobby Heenan is not happy that Bock has to defend against Johnny Valentine and, while Heenan has stated he respects Valentine, guarantees Bock will retain the title. **Also on next week's card, Tony Atlas teams with Koko B. Ware to face Angelo Poffo/JJ Dillon. Poffo/Dillon have been trying to embarrass the lower ranked wrestlers and Atlas has had enough. 'Dangerous' Dan Spivey, fresh off his terrible GCCW start, has called out The Destroyer. Spivey promises to get on the winning side by destroying The Destroyer. Red Bastien/Billy 'Red' Lyons face their Heenan Family rivals, Ray Stevens/Ox Baker, as that feud steps up the intensity. **The card also features Match #3 of the Power-10 Series as Antonio Inoki faces southern wrestling icon, Bob Armstrong. In non-title action, Mr Fuji/Mr Saito face Tommy Rich/Tracy Smothers is a match that will surely bring the house down. ....See You Next Week In Mobile....

**GCCW Update** Steve Williams Injury Report --Doctors have refused to clear 'Dr Death' Steve Williams to wrestle for the next 3 weeks. After taking a brutal spike piledriver from nemesis, Johnny Valentine, and Mad Dog Vachon at last Friday's show, GCCW doctors will not clear Williams to even be in a GCCW arena until 26 Feb. However, this means Williams should be cleared to wrestle the winner of the match between GCCW champion, Nick Bockwinkel and Valentine in 3 weeks. A source inside GCCW told this reporter that Williams suffered a bruised spinal column from the dangerous move and has been ordered to take time off to heal. Behind the scenes, GCCW officials met and where ready to suspend Valentine and Vachon for a lengthy suspension but Williams implored the board to let Williams get his revenge in the ring instead. The board did send word to Valentine and Vachon that any further transgressions will be met with hefty fines and long-term suspensions. As a reminder, the HUGE Bockwinkel vs Valentine match is tomorrow night at the Civic Center in Mobile. Get your tickets now before they sell out.

GCCW #17 Civic Center; Mobile, AL: 6 Feb 2015 ....The latest installment of great wrestling action must mean it's Friday night in GCCW land. Tonight's card is headlined by Nick Bockwinkel defending his GCCW title against Johnny Valentine. We could do a one-match card with that match and still probably sell out the building!!. However, we do have other intriguing matches on the card and an announcement concerning the next challengers for the GCCW tag title and the GCCW United States title. Enough of my typing....let's go to ringside!!....--Match #1: Bruiser Brody w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink def. Jake Milliman by pinfall.Very short match totally dominated by Bruiser Brody. Brody didn't waste any time in finishing the match as he landed his JUMPING KNEE DROP for the finish. Humperdink grabbed the house mike afterwards and lauded the superiority of Brody and that he would lead Brody to the top. --Match #2: 2 Cold Scorpio/Marcus Alexander Bagwell battled The Vachons w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink to a 30-minute TLD.What a battle between the rugged Vachons and, in this match anyway, the equally rugged Scorpio/Bagwell. Humperdink went down early when Butcher collided with his rotund manager and sent Humperdink flying to the floor. Humperdink would be a non-factor for the rest of the match. The two teams battled each other back and forth but it was Scorpio/Bagwell that dictated the action. In the end, neither team gained a decisive opportunity to end the match. The Vachons looked as if they could bite through Mad Dog's chains afterwards as Scorpio/Bagwell soaked in the cheers from the crowd. --Match #3: George 'The Animal' Steele def. Hacksaw Jim Duggan by pinfall. Hacksaw Jim Duggan came into the match with on a roll but was steamrolled by George 'The Animal' Steele. Duggan dished out punishment but George came back with a vengenance until he noticed an appetizing turnbuckle he could chew on. Duggan interrupts George's meal but gets driven headfirst into the exposed turnbuckle. Duggan is busted open and is easy prey for George who landed a vicious running knee for the finish. Afterwards, George went back to eating his turnbuckle as the fans sit stunned at the violence they just witnessed. --Match #4: Tony Atlas/Koko B. Ware def. Angelo Poffo/JJ Dillon by disqualification.Tony Atlas got tired of Poffo/Dillon trying to humiliate the lower card talent in GCCW and issued this challenge. Atlas/Ware dominated large portions of this 15-minute match. However, just when Ware called for the GHOSTBUSTER on Dillon, Poffo charged the ring and dropped Ware with a stiff chair shot. Atlas charged Poffo and met the same fate before security prevented any further damage to Atlas/Ware. The fans showered Poffo/Dillon with soda cups and popcorm bags as they retreated to the locker room. --Match #5: The Destroyer def. Dan Spivey by submission. The Destroyer seems to be a part-timer in GCCW as he answers any challenge laid out to him and helps Red Bastien and Billy 'Red' Lyons in their battles against the Heenan Family. Dan Spivey hasn't lived up to his 'Dangerous' moniker since arriving in GCCW. This match was no different for Spivey as The Destroyer hit his signature Sensational Suplex and Intelligent Sleeper Hold to the cheers of the fans. Destroyer's FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK spelled the end for Spivey in another disappointing loss. ....At intermission, 'Cowboy' Bob Kelly announced that the due to extenuating circumstances in their tournament final matches, Finlay/David Taylor and Terry Gordy will get the next title shots against their respective tournament final opponents. Next week will see a healthy David Taylor/Finlay get their rematch against the GCCW tag champions, Mr Fuji/Mr Saito....--Match #6: Ray Stevens/Ox Baker def. Red Bastien/Billy 'Red' Lyons by pinfall. In what started as an one-off match between Red Bastien and Nick Bockwinkel by promoter, Bob Kelly, to keep Bockwinkel busy has turned into a red hot....pun intended....feud between the Heenan Family and Bastien/Lyons. So far the Heenan Family have gotten the better of The Flying Redheads. The Redheads came out on fire....again, pun intended.... early on and had Stevens/Baker on the run. Finally, Bobby Heenan turned the tide as it seems he always does. With the referee distracted, Stevens dropped Lyons with a low-blow and Baker followed a neckbreaker for the finish. A near riot broke out with the announcement that the Heenan Family....stole, err....won another matches and they had to be escorted to the back by Mobile's finest. --Match #7: Power-10 Series: Antonio Inoki def. Bob Armstrong by pinfall.Antonio Inoki got back on the winning track last week and looks to extend his streak. Bob Armstrong is super over here in GCCW and the fans were squarely behind one of their favorite sons. An even match that went longer than Inoki expected. However, in the end, Inoki came back from a big nearfall from an Armstrong Atomic Drop to win wit the ENZUIGIRI to go 2-1 in the Power-10 Series. The fans give both men a standing ovation as they shake hands afterwards. --Match #8: Non-title: Mr Fuji/Mr Saito versus Tommy Rich/Tracy Smothers was declared a No Contest. With the announcement earlier in the night concerning their challengers next week, Mr Fuji/Mr Saito were not going to stick around for this match. The bell rung and the tag champs bailed from the ring and headed to the back as the crowd erupted in jeers. However, Tommy Rich/Tracy Smothers had other ideas and dragged the champs back to ringside as all hell broke loose. Rich/Smothers beat up the tag champs so bad that the local police had to cuff Rich/Smothers to stop them from keeping up their attack. The bloody tag champs were helped back to the ring and look to be in bad shape for their title defense next week against Finlay/Taylor. --Match #9: Main Event: GCCW title: Nick Bockwinkel def. Johnny Valentine by Count-Out to retain the title. The big one!! Fans were eagerly anticipating this match all week as local radio stations asked callers who they would root for and who they thought would win. Before the match, Bobby Heenan tried to persuade Johnny Valentine to just walk away, saying he would manage Valentine in Texas if Johnny would leave the territory. Heenan even promised a match versus the Texas champion, Lou Thesz, if Valentine would just walk away. Valentine seemed to consider this but sent Heenan flying from the ring with a clothesline to start the match. Johnny dominated early portions of the match and Bockwinkel had no answer for Valentine's aggressiveness. Bock rolls to the floor to collect his wits and pulls Johnny from the ring and posts his challenger. Back in the ring, Bock has control and is wearing down Valentine setting up for his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK finisher. Bock gets the move locked in but after several agonizing minutes, Valentine makes it to the ropes to break the hold. A limping Valentine fights back and soon lands a powerful running ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER that sends Bock rolling to the arena floor. Heenan checks on the bloody Bockwinkel as referee, Speedy Hatfield, tries to get Heenan away from Bock. Valentine rolls to the floor but with Hatfield distracted, takes a vicious HEART PUNCH from Ox Baker! Speedy Hatfield notices both men on the floor and starts his count. Ray Stevens and Ox Baker roll Bockwinkel back in the ring before the 10-count but Valentine is still down on the floor and Hatfield awards the match to Bockwinkel for his 2nd title defense. **Wow, another action packed card with a MOTY candidate for the Main Event and it was a great night for the Heenan Family. Johnny Valentine was taken to the hospital afterwards for observation after taking that vicious HEART PUNCH but was released early Saturday morning. Nick Bockwinkel and the Heenan Family seem to have added another powerful enemy looking to put them out of the wrestling business. What is known is that Johnny Valentine will be angry....very angry....at the outcome of that match and will seek revenge. Next up for Nick Bockwinkel is his title defense against Steve Williams on 27 February 2015, though, Johnny Valentine is almost assured to try and get Nick back in the ring in some form or fashion before then. **Next week, GCCW rolls into the Civic Center in Lake Charles, Louisiana where the GCCW tag champions, Mr Fuji/Mr Saito, will defend the titles against Finlay/David Taylor. This time the roles are reversed as Finlay/Taylor are 100% healthy and out for blood while the champs were beaten bloody tonight and look to be in bad shape for the match. ....Stay tuned for the Mid-Week Update for complete card details and breaking news from GCCW....

Bock running with Heenan is great reading... hopefully they'll be on top for a while . I can't help but think Finlay and Taylor are hugely overmatched, but one never knows, I suppose... last time I did a legends fed, Mike Graham ended up champ.
