Awesome debut show. I was hoping to see Randy Savage win it, especially after surviving that war with Bruiser Brody, but congrats to Harley Race on striking gold. The promoter notes after the matches are great, it is always cool to get that behind the scenes take on things. Looking forward to upcoming shows.

Card 02 – Midland, Ontario – Midland Arena, September 17, 2017
Wild Bill White v. Ron Hutchinson
Stern words from Morgan Dollar. Headlock from Hutchinson countered into a knee life that sends Hutchison to the floor. Stomps and kicks from White down Hutchison. White lifts Hutchinson . . .
Wild Bill While wins with a running power slam.
Quick finish to the opening contest so there is not much to say about it. It was a case of the first competitor to hit their finisher would likely take the win and that is exactly what occurred.
Ted DiBiase (3) v. Blue Meanie
DiBiase pays a young girl to bounce a basketball ten times before kicking the ball away at eight. Midland HATES DiBiase. Some counters before DiBiase cracks a falling fist drop and follows with a swinging neckbreaker. DiBiase mounts the corner and hits a deathjump cross body block for a one count. DiBiase slows the pace with a scorpion death lock and the drops Meanie with a back elbow. A vertical suplex looks great before DiBiase sends his opponent in the ropes but Meanie hits a shoulder ram downing DiBiase. Whip into the corner and Meanie charges but no one is home. DiBiase rolls him up using the ropes for leverage but Morgan Dollar only reaches two. DiBiase is not pleased with the count but goes back to work with another scorpion death lock. Meanie is not finished yet managing to regain his feet while DiBiase moves in from behind . . . DiBiase wins with a Cobra Clutch
Post match, DiBiase turns up the head stuffing Meanie’s mouth full of cash. A complete showcase for DiBiase to build his heat. With just one offensive move from Meanie the entire match, he definitely proved himself to be part of the job squad . . . at least for tonight.
Frank Dalton v. Brutus Beefcake
The struggle at the lock up for the upper hand. Beefcake with a jumping head ringer and Dalton goes after the eyes. Belly to belly is blocked by Beefcake and he lands knee lifts and a big boot in the corner. Clothesline stuns Dalton for a two count. The fans eat up a pair of wind up punches from Beefcake who follows with a clothesline, suplex and huge back body drop that gets a solid ovation. It is all Beefcake with more punches, knee lifts and stiff elbow into the corner. Into the opposite corner but Dalton gets his knees up to block. Dalton goes to bite Beefcake but Beefcake counters ramming Dalton’s head into the buckle. Dalton manages to reverse the whip to the corner and both men crack heads and crumble to the mat. Beefcake is up first and locks in a sleeper but Dalton makes the rope quickly. Power slam rocks the ring and sends Dalton outside where Dr. Mike Lano captures the brawl up close. Beefcake takes it back to the floor and the both men trade blows. Beefcake is able to backdrop Dalton onto the floor and rolls under the ropes . . . .
Beefcake wins via count-out
I am glad the Beefcake came out on top in this one since he really dominated most of the action in the ring. Not knowing much about Dalton, it was fun to roll out a match and get a sense of his move set. Hoping he can be a solid mid-card heel. Looking forward to the rematch between these two.
Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupré v. Marty Jannetty
George spends a lot of time “preparing” at ringside and the fans are all over him. Morgan Dollar sends Dupré to the back just after his instructions and George is losing his mind. Whips to the corner are countered and George then sends Jannetty into the ropes but the rocker rebounds with a tackle followed by a dropkick that spills the human orchid to ringside. George looks for Dupré but only finds Jannetty’s fist. Back inside, Jannetty comes off the top with a top rope fist drop. George gets sent into the ropes and catches Jannetty with a roll up for a two count from Dollar. George tosses Jannetty to the floor and follows him outside. Dr. Mike Lano gets wrapped up in the action and tossed back and forth. A superkick catches George on the chin and Jannetty plants him with a DDT. George bails to save himself and Jannetty comes out after him. Jannetty gets the best of the exchange. We go back inside. Jannetty scales the corner but George catches him and tosses Jannetty to the mat. George winds up Jannetty with back to back airplane spins. A dropkick from George is on target and further airplane spin sends Jannetty to the floor. George follows him and chokes Jannetty on the rails. We go back to the floor and George nails Jannetty in the knee with a chair shot. The fans are livid as George tosses Jannetty back inside. George grabs a leg . . . .
Gorgeous George wins via submission with a SPINNING TOE HOLD.
Jannetty is selling the leg while Dupré rejoins George in the ring to celebrate the fans while the fans boo him out of the arena.
I like George showed off his vicious side and took the win. Jannetty really gave his a run for his money and should be given another shot at George. Nikolai Volkoff w/Iron Sheik & Shawn Daivari v. Road Warrior Animal w/Road Warrior Hawk
Volkoff sings and we boo! Brawl before the bell. It is chaos. Warriors clear ring. Dollar throws out Hawk, Daivari & Sheik! LAYING DOWN THE LAW! Volkoff attacks with headbutts but tackle in the corner misses. Scoop slam blocked and Volkoff hits a back elbow. Running stomps and knees from Volkoff and Animal bails. Volkoff comes out after him, grabs a chair and smashes Animal across the back. Dollar turns to the announce table . . .
Road Warrior Animal wins via disqualification
Iron Sheik and Shawn Daivari hit ringside and attack Animal. Hawk arrives and all five men brawl. Security is out to break it up.
Perhaps a preview of the mayhem that is to come between these two teams? Enjoy filtering the matches through the Morgan Dollar card. You just never know what you are going to get so it keeps thing interesting. Canadian Champion Harley Race & Lou Thez (4) v. Buddy Rogers (2) & “Macho Man” Randy Savage (1)
Rogers jaws with the fans for some extra heat. Race gets the upper hand but Rogers blocks a belly to belly before nailing a piledriver, jumping knee smash and a kick in the corner. Savage is in with an elbow to the head but Race counters and tags in Thesz who whips Savage to the corner which leads to an airplane spin. Punches to the ribs stun Savage but he is still able to counter a rolling short arm scissors with his agility and tags in Rogers who immediately crushes Thesz with a piledriver for a two count from Morgan Dollar. Elbow drop misses and Race is back in. Indian Death Lock slows the pace and a head butt stuns Rogers. Rogers manages to avoid an elbow drop himself and tags in Savage who scores with a knee drop and neckbreaker clothesline. Race is sent into the ropes but rebounds with a tackle and follows with a falling knee drop. Thesz tags and engages in counters with Savage until he pushes Savage off into the ropes but Savage blocks the backdrop attempt with a piledriver. Vaulting neck snap sends Thesz outside where Savage grabs a chair and cracks Thesz across the back. Morgan Dollar makes the signal . . . .
Harley Race & Lou Thesz win by disqualification Words between Savage and Rogers after the match. For his part, Harley Race has no interest in checking on the condition of his partner, grabs the gold and heads to the back.
A fun closer for this house show. Obviously a clean finish would have been preferred but there is a lot of directions you can go with these three competitors.

A solid house show for sure and I really liked the pairings in the main event, not to mention Harley Race shrugging off the chair shot on Lou Thesz and walking off. Marty Jannetty vs. Gorgeous George may have been the match of the night. I like how you are using the Morgan Dollar card regularly and I also like the promoter notes, they are fun to read. Good stuff my friend.

Have to agree with cruefan68... Looks like George and Jannetty really stole the show... Even more captivating than the tag team main event which featured four of the finest stars in the company... Looking forward to a rematch... It was also fun to see Beefcake in singles action - a bit of a rarity... Looks like Dalton put up just the right amount of fight in that one... Excellent stuff!

Card 03 – Niagara Falls, Ontario – Niagara Falls Memorial Arena, September 24 , 2017
Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupré v. Marty Jannetty
George earns epic heat while he tosses out Georgie Pins to the standing room only crowd. Stern instructions from Morgan Dollar to both competitors and we are underway. Jannetty is quick. Clothesline in the corner leads to an atomic drop. George is selling his groin and the fans love it. Whip and reversal leading to a kick from George followed by a Gorgeous Grip. Jannetty gets back to his feet and whip into the ropes. Small package gets Jannetty a near fall. Top rope fist drop connects as does a dropkick with George rebounding off the ropes. Superkick sends George to the floor where Dupré consoles him. The heat is fantastic. Back to the floor and George reverses a whip sending Jannetty hard into the post shoulder first. Deathjump smash to the knee sets up a figure four leglock. Jannetty blocks a face rake with Georgie Pins and George counters a body slam. Jannetty goes into the ropes and George chop blocks him on the rebound. It is all George with snap mares, slams and an impressive looking running lariat. A slap from George stirs Jannetty to answer back and they exchange moves. Monkey flip sends George across the ring but Dupré grabs Jannetty leg slowing his attack. The fans are all over her as George attacks from the top with a deathjump cross body block that nearly ended it. George tires a small package with the tights but Dollar will have none of it. Jannetty escapes a Gorgeous Grip by rolling outside but George hangs on. Jannetty backs George into the post. Rocker Dropper connects. Dupré cannot distract Dollar who makes a two count. Jannetty with a top rope fist drop and then they exchange whips into the ropes. Jannetty with a tackle. Geroge goes into the ropes. Sunset flip for two and half. Deathjump lands. Jannetty is tossed outside and they trade blows. George into the post shoulder first. Back in the ring and a Rocker Dropper only gets two. Top rope fist drop is followed by an atomic drop and clothesline in the corner. Struggle on the corner and George is kicked to the mat. Superkick connects as does a running knee lift and suplex. Pair of hips tosses from Jannetty leads to a slap to the face from George that stuns. Running lariat follows and both men fall to the mat . . .
George’s arm is on over Jannetty and Dollar makes the three count
A fun and competitive opening match for this card. George makes it two in a row over Jannetty but not before the rocker gives him run for his money. With two wins in a row, George will be looking to crack the top contenders list while Jannetty, having come so close to victory will no doubt be looking for a third opportunity against the Human Orchid. Frank Dalton v. Jimmy Snuka
Snuka goes after the eyes and then shows off his power with a body slam followed by a piledriver for a two count from Morgan Dollar. Snuka off the top of the corner with a flying head butt followed by a powerslam, deathjump smash and another power slam for a two count. Snuka climbs the corner, signals to the fans and flies . . .
Snuka wins with a Superfly Leap
A disappointing outing for Dalton who has zero offense the entire match. After his impressive debut, the expectations for Dalton were high and the match suffered as a result. Complete squash. Hacksaw Jim Duggan v. Ted DiBiase (3)
DiBiase has some cash for Morgan Dollar who will not be compromised tonight and the fans love it. Duggan has the fans fired up but it is DiBiase who gets the best of an early exchange of suplexes. Eye rake slows Duggan down and DiBiase goes to work with suplexes and a swinging neckbreaker. Duggan gets sent into the ropes but counters an attempted backdrop with a piledriver. Duggan with wild haymakers but DiBiase blocks turnbuckle punches. Neither man can maintain any advantage as the action goes back and forth. DiBiase scores with a vertical suplex and applies a Cobra Clutch but Duggan wisely backs into the corner breaking the hold. Backbreaker from DiBiase is followed by an impressive dropkick into a rebounding Duggan. DiBiase transitions from a Scorpion Death Lock to a swinging neckbreaker but Duggan counters back with a belly to belly suplex. Duggan is winded and grabs a headlock for control. DiBiase blocks a vertical suplex and nails a gut wrench suplex that takes a lot of both men. DiBiase off the top and then hits a powerslam. Back to back swinging neckbreakers take their toll before DiBiase follows with a devastating gut wrench suplex. Duggan stumbles to his feet while DiBiase moves in from behind . . .
DiBiase wins with a Cobra Clutch
DiBiase refuses to release the hold after the match and the bell is sounding. Bobo Brazil arrives and breaks thing up. Duggan needs assistance leaving the ring (one card injury)
Loads of history between these two competitors made for an intense contest and some action after the bell. What will Duggan’s response be to DiBiase’s actions? What part will Bobo Brazil play in the fall out, if any?
Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) v. Foreign Legion (Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff) w/Shawn Daivari
Volkoff sings for the fans and they are all over him. Sheik lets up know what he thinks as well and ringside is unglued. Morgan Dollar appears shaken when Volkoff gets in his face. Great spot early on where Hawk avoids a clothesline from Sheik and counters back with a gorilla press slam. Both sides make switches and Animal controls Volkoff with a front facelock. Volkoff goes for the eyes, Animal blocks and goes for an elbow hammer sending Volkoff into his corner for a tag. Sheik chokes out Animal on the ropes and looks impressive with a belly-to-belly suplex for a two count. Sheik climbs the corner but Animal slams him to the mat for a huge reaction. Power Slam gets a two count before Hawk is in with a running clothesline for another near fall. Ringside loves it. Another running clothesline crushes Sheik before a gut wrench suplex shakes the ring. Hawk tosses Sheik outside and rams him face first into the rails busting him open. Hawk punishes a bloody Sheik with an over-the-shoulder backbreaker. Animal hoists Sheik onto his shoulders while Hawk mounts the corner . . .
Road Warriors win with a Doomsday Device with Hawk getting the pin while Animal cuts off Volkoff from making the save. Another impressive outing for the Warriors. Hard to imagine them not winning the upcoming tag team title tournament. Bobo Brazil v. Curt Hennig
Brazil with a power attack including multiple tackles. Brazil charges into the corner but Hennig moves sending Brazil crashing into the buckles. Roll up for two. Hennig takes the battle to the floor and cracks Brazil across the back with a chair shot. Morgan Dollar turns to the corner . . . .
Bobo Brazil defeats Curt Hennig by disqualification
A disappointing match with Hennig resulting to some questionable tactics despite having the momentum of the match in his favour. Another bout between these two can be expected in short order. Rob Van Dam v. Bruiser Brody (5)
Van Dam with a kick and point to himself that only serves to fire up Brody who responds with hammer punches and stomps. Van Dam back with a body scissors cradle followed by a standing moonsault that is on target. Van Dam off the top with a deathjump smash followed by Rolling Thunder. Brody takes a breather on the floor. Van Dam is out after him but trips over Dr. Mike Lano allowing Brody an opening to attack with stomps and punches. Piledriver rocks Van Dam and a one-handed body slam shakes the ring. Van Dam with an outside leg sweep but Brody avoids but misses his own shoulder tackle. Brody goes into the ropes and they cross over leading to a Van Dam back elbow. Split legged moonsault and Brody bails. Leg drop across the guardrail gets everyone on their their feet. Whip to the corner, reversed and Van Dam with kick that stuns Brody. Whip into the ropes for a backdrop . . . countering piledriver. Running leg drop connects as does a big kick in the corner. Van Dam looks to be out on his feet! Twisting vertical suplex followed by a big boot to the face. More punches. Van Dam misses a kick. Brody misses a tackle and is sent into the ropes. Second tackle does not miss. Big kick in the corner followed by stomp after stomp after stomp. Van Dam attempts punches but is flung across the ring. More stomps in the corner and Van Dam is literal stomped from the ring. Van Dam can barely crawl back under the ropes and Brody plants him with a piledriver sending Van Dam back to the floor. Brody tosses him outside again. Huss, Huss, Huss. Van Dam is back in the ring. Piledriver and Van Dam takes to the floor yet again to avoid defeat. Big boot to the face followed by yet another piledriver. 1, 2, kick out! Running leg drop connects. Brody looks possessed as Van Dam crumbles to the floor. Van Dam rolls back in but quickly is tossed back outside. Back in the ring a running leg drop crushes Van Dam. Stomps land. Van Dam connects out of nowhere with a standing dropkick and the fans explode. Monkey flip works but a rolling fireman’s carry is countered and Van Dam is flung across the ring. Twisting vertical suplex knocks the life from Van Dam. Jumping Knee Smash in the middle of the ring. Dollar down for the 1, 2, ¾. Piledriver but it is close to the ropes so Van Dam bails. They go to the floor and both men start to exchange punches. Brody grabs his chain and Van Dam defends with a chair. Dollar has lost control and signals to the timekeeper . . . .
Bruiser Brody and Rob Van Dam ended in a double disqualification
Just a crazy match to roll out with Van Dam narrowing escaping defeat on several occasions. Also, Dr. Mike Lano played a significant roll turning the match momentum in favour of Brody after Van Dam had carried the early action. Brody maintains his number five ranking but a rematch with Van Dam will be forthcoming. Lou Thesz (4) v. Buddy Rogers (2)
After the finish of the last contest, Morgan Dollar has some stern words for the competitors. Thesz opens with a headlock and Rogers counters with a punch. Rogers sends Thesz into the corner and gets backdrop to the floor for his trouble. The fans love it. Thesz comes over to the corner but Rogers trips him up and rams Thesz’s knee off the post. Back in the ring, Rogers attacks the leg with a Figure Four Grapevine but Thesz makes the ropes. Deathjump smash to the leg is followed by an atomic drop on the leg for a two count. Rogers drags Thesz to the middle of the ring and grabs his leg . . . .
Buddy Rogers submits Lou Thesz with a Figure Four Grapevine.
A shocker of a match with Rogers taking full advantage of his opportunity and coming out with the somewhat controversial victory. Canadian Heavyweight Title Match – Harley Race (ch) v. “Macho Man” Randy Savage (1)
Morgan Dollar is again serious with his instructions. Savage works the grinding headlock early on before sending Race into the corner. Savage charges in but Race comes out with a lariat that turns his challenger inside out. Race lifts Savage for a Vertical Suplex and Dollars gets to two and half before Savage can get a shoulder off the mat. Another Vertical Suplex for another two count. A third Vertical Suplex gets another near fall for the Champion. Race shows some frustration and tosses Savage outside. Race to the floor and they trade blows. Savage rams Race into the ring post busting him open. Back in the ring, Savage mounts the corner for a cross body deathjump but Race rolls through with a hook of the tights. Only two from Dollar and ringside thought it was over. Running lariat again crushes Savage and Race is on him with a back suplex. Race covers and Savage is out right away. Race comes off the top with a deathjump smash and then lifts Savage into another Vertical Suplex. Dollar with a 1, 2, ¾. Ringside is out of their seats for Savage’s kick out. Backbreaker from Race and a whip to the corner. Race charges but Savage counters with a backdrop spilling Race to the floor. The fight goes to ringside and Dr. Mike Lano barely gets out of the way of danger. Savage gets his first run of the match with a vaulting neck snap and running knee to the back. Race gets rebounded off the ropes. Race with a tackle and falling knee drop but Savage blocks a belly to belly suplex and lands a neckbreaker clothesline. Savage misses a rope straddle which looks painful but Race misses with his elbow drop. Back and forth with counters and misses until Race nails a swinging neckbreaker. Race attacks from behind with a back suplex and Savage’s skull bounces off the mat. Two and half from Dollar. Race traps Savage and falls back . . .
Harley Race beats Randy Savage with a Piledriver
After the match, Savage is irate with Dollar claiming that he had his shoulder up before the count of three but the decision stands and a bloodied and exhausted Race leaves Niagara Falls as the champion.
Just an incredible show of resilience from Savage as he kicked out after finisher after finisher and even may have just beaten the count that ended the match (R10/P10). The ending leaves fans wondering if Savage with get a rematch?

Big win by Rogers and RVD and Brody both getting dq'ed feels appropriate. Thanks for the comments. Rogers win was significant and certainly solidified his position as the number two contender for the title. If Savage does not get the a rematch the Nature Boy will get his shot. You are likely right, a double disqualification between Brody and RVD is an appropriate finish to their first encounter.

Thoroughly enjoyed the opening bout between George and Jannetty... Some cool spots with a really fun finish... And of course, Brody and RVD delivered exactly the kind of action that I would expect from them... Looking forward to the inevitable rematch...
Watching Race and Savage pull out all the stops in the main event was a spectacular way to end the show... Delight the fans and keep them wanting more...
Excellent show!
